781  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people ever get tired of trading bitcoin? on: October 17, 2023, 09:41:26 PM
They are four kinds of trading according to Pareto; An immortalized name in the economics mathematical science.

1. A win win trade; one that the both parties win, hence the number of people into such trade keeps booming

2. Trade in which a party gains, but no one loses, and again welfare will definitely go up; more users and investors

They don't work in reality. No way we could just win all the time from trading but also suffer losses (no matter what we do). If that is true, all traders are already rich but unfortunately, many are suffering losses and even quit.

These 2 things made innocent people think that trading is the answer to their ambitious dream (rich). But their bad experience helps them as well to realize that they were wrong. We have to keep in mind that trading is too risky, some people make a profit while some also lose.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardwork pays not luck! on: October 17, 2023, 09:13:54 PM
Luck is not the way to become rich or just to say, a way to improve our living but also, it needs hard work. Our lives are not gambling where we just rely on luck which means that in order to survive and be able to reach our goal, then we must consider pushing ourselves to do that.
But I see this thing that usually happens to those people who think that luck could be the answer to their dreams - that is those who keep spending a lot of money on gambling.

As I compared to businessmen, they become rich as they are working hard and spend a lot of time in their business. Because we can just sit down and become rich because we are a lucky person, that is really impossible.
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: October 17, 2023, 12:57:58 PM
I will never let myself losing this way again.

back in the years , I have won big in a Blackjack in which make my richer x10 from my deposit amount.

having double mind instead of withdrawing ? I decide to change table and play in roulette and Slot machine , that ends me a loser? and guess what , aside from my initial deposit? i also lose another deposit because of chasing losses .
You will never lose if you don't let your greediness control you. Many gamblers got it wrong thinking that if they are lucky in Blackjack, they can be also lucky in other games. Regret is the only thing we get from continuous gambling that is why I've practiced not keeping my winnings on the platform but withdrawing it. Because most of the time we are limitless and sometimes we empty our wallets. Now, if we keep our winning prize in our wallet, the more chances that we lose them all.
784  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading on your own vs social trading and copy trading on: October 17, 2023, 12:36:52 PM

I really believe that the best thing to do would be just focusing on your own improvement and well being, without that then no matter what you are doing and even if you are profiting, you will end up in trouble in the future without a doubt. This is why we should be considering this situation a bit differently and approach it with different sense so that we could get better. Just like everything in life you do not improve without working hard on it.
I see why many people subscribe to copy trading and these are the possible reasons
 - lack of knowledge
 - lack of time to analyze the market condition

The use of copy trading is not wrong but what went wrong is when fully relying on it like we don't see any way to trade our own.
Indeed, if we want to grow and improve our knowledge in trading, we have to work on it on our own, not by relying on someone. Yes, we can do a lot of good things when doing alone as we can do whatever we want to do.

785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? Selling all or not on: October 17, 2023, 07:47:55 AM
I would say that no matter what decision would be, with time, you will still be happy with result and disappointed simultaneously. The opportunity tomorrow will always be better than opportunity today. If you think you have earned enough from holding, then sell only if you already know how you will spend your fiat or what other cryptocurrency you would buy. Otherwise there will always be another price increase.
We can't always say that the opportunity tomorrow will be better today, not in the case with Bitcoin investment because of its volatility. Because might today it rise but we can't be sure tomorrow and in the following days. Like if we are already in bullish, I don't think we need to wait for it to dump before selling?
That is why I don't force someone to hold without a reason and of course, I don't force someone to sell without a reason as well. But with the current situation, selling is not the best option but accumulation and holding.
786  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Don't be afraid of buying Bitcoin on: October 16, 2023, 10:19:21 AM
Someone that will have such fear of bitcoin Falling and rising is the people who have not peruse into bitcoin and understand its technology, bitcoin almost people that is billionaires in bitcoin don't use to be afraid of bitcoin, they decided on anything that happened during the process of holding bitcoin for long time, if you are being afraid of bitcoin increasing and bitcoin decreasing I think that you can't invest with bitcoin, its better you leave bitcoin  investment or you invest and forget about the investment, many do forget about bitcoin investment  when they have invested in Bitcoin, so for you to make profit in bitcoin is to invest and forget all about the investment until the time you have in mind, do not be afraid bitcoin because rich people invest more than us and what is their intention of investing more and more, so that is what we should as ourselves.
We also have to understand that those who have no knowledge about Bitcoin will certainly feel uncertainties and much more if they have already been boxed by FUDs. It is sometimes to think that Bitcoin is someone's ambition, especially for poor people and I see their finances give them a reason to decline and are afraid to take their chance. But I can say that rich people are already immune to such feelings (afraid), they can afford to take risks as they are not afraid to lose money as well because they believe that Bitcoin is been a promising investment and having profits is very certain to them.
787  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is doubling your investment more probable than we think? on: October 16, 2023, 09:53:17 AM
With halving less than a year from now, the majority of us are speculating a major increase in price and possibly the start of another bull market after 4 years. Some are expecting to surpass the previous ATH of almost $70,000 and possibly reach $100,000. Although this scenario sounds great and all, I'm not quite confident that it'll happen in the upcoming year or so. The current economic condition in the world isn't too promising and, in my opinion, will set back investments in general, including bonds and the stock market. I hope I'm proven wrong, though.

I'd expect a mix of speculations coming through - both negative and positive. But whatever it is none form them can be right, we only just know when the halving comes.

For now, investing seems to be a great idea for me. Despite being unpredictable and the current economic situation, we're still hopeful that the rise will come and make another ATH. It means that if we invest today we have a chance of earning more than just investing a little. Actually, I'd never think about $70,000 or $100,000 but what I just think is that at least the price of Bitcoin will pump.
788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 16, 2023, 06:57:01 AM
Lillard finally made his debut with the Bucks. They defeated the Lakers on the road by 11 points (108-97) for the Bucks. He played only 22 minutes and 23 seconds, but his production wasn't that impressive, with a 3-10 shooting performance for the whole game, which is not what we were expecting. I guess he is still adjusting to his new team, or maybe he hasn't taken it too seriously since it's just the preseason.

But there is some positive news from the team; the points are well-distributed, which means the ball movement is on point.

Lopez    11
Antetokounmpo 16
Payne 12
Connaughton   12
Portis 10

Good numbers for these players, but the Lakers aren't playing with a complete lineup; they miss their leader, LeBron, so it's somewhat expected that the Bucks will win. Lillard has a lot of blending to do with the team, but the good thing is that he was traded before the season started, which gives them more time to build that necessary chemistry. So, let's stay optimistic.  Smiley
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Drake's Curse. on: October 16, 2023, 05:25:46 AM
That's just one game, and you're already calling it a curse? Come on, Drake is a multimillionaire, and he is known to be a high roller. That's just something he can afford to lose, for sure. Since he's already a fan of gambling, I'm sure there are bigger wins or losses that haven't been disclosed yet.

I would only consider it a curse if Drake goes through a cold streak resulting in losses of at least $100 million, which is almost half of his net worth. For now, this isn't a huge issue for him; he'll bounce back anyway, with the mentality of a gambler.
790  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know When to Stop. Lesson for Everyone, Particularly Investors on: October 13, 2023, 03:16:06 PM
Knowing when to stop is also like knowing yourself more. Greedy people often do not achieve success but failure and that is a lesson learned that we must know how to deal with our emotions and much more about controlling our greed. Well, for newbies it seems not easy to know about it but for experienced traders or investors, we probably know when to stop.

 - stop if we already exceed our limits
 - stop if we feel uncomfortable and out of the plan
 - stop if we never understand that market situation
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card gambling fuels gambling addiction on: October 13, 2023, 02:51:23 PM
Credit card is a bless for smart people and a curse for silly ones. Is easy as taht, the only thing you have to know is in wich one you are, in the smart one or in the silly one? You have to be 100% true to yourself to know that and to avoid problems in the future in the case you are a silly one.

Indeed, for those who knows how to use it the right way they can fully take advantage and utilize or maximize how it should be used.

While, with those who don't it can cause big problem as dividing your finances or managing your finances will be affected a lot with a single
mistake that you done with your excessive use of your credit cards.

Controlling things and make it work for you and not to work for it same with how you spend your money.
No matter how careful, smart and disciplined one can be, I don't think it is a wise decision to gamble with credit card. For one to be a gambler, it's absolutely sure that there are days you tend to lose your bets and sometimes you'll definitely want to gamble more at least to recover your capital which at most times, you'll still lose all the money you want to use for recovery.
So of you are the type that doesn't gamble with your credit card, you'll definitely find it difficult to fund your gambling wallet or account but with your credit card connected to your gambling wallet or account, you'll not find it difficult to gamble more. So it's unwise to gamble with your credit card in my own opinion
Credit card is supposedly not to be used for gambling or else this will be a regrettable thing to happen. A responsible gambler doesn't do this because this will lead to temptation and get out of control from spending. Credit should not be connected to any gambling platform. I'm not sure if this is allowed as I don't have any idea because I don't have it and I don't like it either. Because for me, credit cards should be used in some emergencies but not for gambling.
792  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of war on global economy. on: October 13, 2023, 01:40:16 PM
War creates nothing good bad difficulties and price increases. Everyone suffers the inflation but I was worried about those people who are really poor which I see that suffered the most. The recovery seems too slow and trauma seems not easy to forget which means that it was not only the economy that got affected but also caused psychological impact on the survivors. The more wars are created, the more it leads to hatred and misunderstanding, and in our mind now is revenge.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Starknet Airdrop Speculation on: October 13, 2023, 01:09:20 PM
Quote
I was not aware of it, so the reason of postponing steak token to 2023 reason is this war? As for I know stark token postpone news announced before the war. This is not good for crypto or even for whole world. Many countries will be affected because of this war. In Gaza there is main office?

You can check the location from the starkware official website. Their head office in the Israel. They are close to the "Netanya" city. It was located from(North) 90KM from the Gaza.

Source : https://starkware.co/about-us/  (Scroll below to check the location)
Very unfortunate and at bad timing, and I consider this project will just fail if the war continues. For now, there is no assurance that there is an airdrop nor do we think that the project development will continue. Good thing that the project didn't start earlier and has some investors because as I imagine the situation where their official website is located, investors have been losing their money without any hope of taking it back.

This is the risk when investing new project, we really don't know until when it stay in the market. Sometimes they just vanish for untold reasons and sometimes because of this - war/conflict.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) on: October 13, 2023, 12:11:04 PM
Snip
But as far as manipulation goes, yeah, it's true, meme coins can easily be manipulated just like what we have seen in the past, by Elon Musk himself. He can't even take it away from his mouth and everything he opens it, the price of Doge will surely be impacted in the positive way.
Doge wasn't so popular before elon himself interfair about its matter. Doge pumped and gained public attention by pumping hardly, only for elon who was manipulated doge behind everyone. And due to his indulgence, people following doge and do investing which is high risk activity cause memecoin still has no purpose. It is elon who keep doing same thing again to let doge pump. Some may take advantage from it, but this is high risky step to go forward doge
Elon Musk influenced not just Dogecoin but also the mindset of his followers and supporters. Indeed, we can't deny the fact that Dogecoin gives a huge profit to its investors during the hype but also, many people got in the wrong timing and lost their money. But despite that situation, many supporters remain and keep following EM which is why, until now Dogecoin is still famous and kept that name. Now, many people looking for meme coins and other hype as they think that this will be their chance to earn more from not holding and waiting for many years.
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cross addictions is Just as Bad. on: October 13, 2023, 11:40:12 AM
Well, whatever it is as long as we are in addiction, that is generally bad. Because once you are in addiction, you are already ruining and compromising your finances. Maybe we could say that his addiction is even better than being addicted to gambling but still, that was addiction and the results aren't looking right.
Anyways, we can't dictate someone's life but we can give a piece of advice. And this is what I can say, spend our money and time wisely because we are not all the time are healthy and wealthy, better if we use it for meaningful things.
796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling vs trading on: October 13, 2023, 07:45:26 AM
As we have seen, we have seen many people become rich through bitcoin, most of them are long term holders, I have not seen anyone become rich through day trading or futures trading with bitcoin. That is the clearest evidence of holding an edge over trading.
IMO, Holding will always win from many sides compared to trading.
Long-term holders really enjoy prices and market conditions that occur. Regarding the benefits gained also differs much from the benefits gained through trade and can be proven and has often been proven that is recognized by trade actors.
We can never see traders become rich from Bitcoin trading because they are not using this in the first place, they use altcoins instead.
Well, we can say that holding Bitcoin always wins from many sides but if we talk about altcoins, that seems impossible. The results from holding and trading vary from the coins we use. Some coins are good for trading like highly volatile coins but in terms of holding long-term, Bitcoin is the best choice. And aside from that, it also depends on your strategies and the way you manage your investment or trades in a critical situation.
797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the Future of Bitcoin without the Inventor? on: October 12, 2023, 09:46:03 PM
I have been having some critical thinking lately on what the future of Bitcoin and the Blockchain technology will be. What will be the fate of Bitcoin should in case the founders of this great digital currency and assets die. It is not a wish but it is a known fact that all humans will taste the sad and irreplaceable part of this life – death.

And then you think nobody will take care of it when he dies? Bitcoin creation has been done already and the system has been working for many years, there is nothing to improve that needs someone to manage it. If your thinking is right, nobody will have the courage to invest and hold Bitcoin but because it never works that way, no matter what happens to the creator, Bitcoin remains and trading continues.
We don't need the founder anymore as it was designed to still be working without any supervision as the system has been working for many years efficiently.
798  Economy / Economics / Re: If They Can Pay off their Debts, Why Don't They? on: October 12, 2023, 02:02:11 PM
I'm even surprise to see United State is included in the list. I don't think this debt has any reasonable effect on this country and this is why they aren't bother in paying this debt. Almost all the listed countries are capable of paying off this debt if they want to but may not pay it just because they have alot to attend to within the country.

Not only countries pay debts because they have "things to attend within the country". It is often creditors initiative not to get debt, but get something instead. Many people often see debt as an equivalent of money only. For example Japan that is leading the list. I am sure that Japan can pay their debt, but those who they owe, instead would ask for profitable import/export conditions in exchange of debt decrease. Consider debts as long term jockers one country could use against other. Instead of receiving money countries would accept special conditions or contracts from debtors.
We believe that all of these countries can afford to pay their debts but they choose not to because if we think deeply, this is also how they do business with other countries and gain trust.  In fact, those countries that have huge debts creates more projects and developments which means that through debts they will give more earning opportunity to the people. As the country wanted to improve its economic development, the more they committed debts.
Maybe I was wrong but they are not pressured to pay their debts which leaders don't bother to see how huge us their debts already.
799  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dangers of trading on: October 12, 2023, 01:11:00 PM

Trading can be a wonderful venture, but it comes with its share of dangers.

And real thing that happens is that most traders just focus on the wonderful venture and sure profit while neglecting to see the dangers that await them. More traders suffer losses because they underestimate the volatile nature of the market and regret it. We could say that we usually just learn when we already commit a mistake and it is acceptable in a fact that this will also teach us where to get wrong and guide us on what we have to do in order to avoid it. The more we experience actual trading, the more we understand how it really works.
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nowhere is safe? on: October 12, 2023, 05:59:41 AM
With hacks occurring more frequently these days, I would strongly emphasize the importance of security. Whether it's a decentralized exchange (DEX) or a centralized exchange (CEX), no one is immune. First, we witnessed the Mixin incident, and now it's Galxe. It's crucial for everyone to assess the security measures of any platform before entrusting their funds. We all bear the responsibility to conduct thorough research before investing our hard-earned money
Nothing in life is safe, but grouping all CEXes as equally unsafe is ignorant, just like all DEXes. There are most likely going to be more hacks in the future in both of them, but maybe focus on the exchanges that have been legit, old, never hacked or at least compensated losses.

There are more trustworthy Dexes out then random hacked ones you posted just like there are more Trustworthy CEXes. The one you posted on your edit (Bitget), is not one of them. Not a change i would ever recommend that CEX to anyone.
Perhaps, the situation is already been accepted and seems we don't have another option but to trust and use legit exchanges who could carry responsibility for the safety of the client's funds. Now that most exchanges have gotten into that vulnerability, the more we have to be smart about where to keep our funds. In fact, even our personal wallet is not safe. And this is to tell everyone especially newcomers to just think several times before entering crypto and must know how to keep their funds safely (at least).
