I think this is a bad way of thinking about bitcoin and advertising it. "get rich quick with bitcoin!"
whenever I tell anybody about bitcoin, be it a friend or family or someone on the internet, I have always tried to stick to the benefits of it being used as a currency not an investment. and we need more users who adopt bitcoin as a currency in my opinion, rather than more speculators to play around with the price and make more $$$ in return when they dump and exit.
I totally agree with you.Because if we all want such an easy money then one thing is expected and this is the failure of bitcoin system... I won't say this situation is the failure of bitcoin system, it just people who thinking to make profits through trading and it's not bad at all. I consider most people treat bitcoin as a trading object right now, and it's just one step of bitcoin development. Because there are many people in several places such as in Japan or Netherland which use bitcoin as a currency to sell and buy in daily basis. All we need is scale solution to be implemented and bitcoin could afford so much transactions in every second with faster confirmation time and low fees, and you will see bitcoin being used as a payment method, as a currency. |

Have you sent those transactions or just asked about it? I am wondering too, what will happen if someone send bitcoin to same address but different amount. I agree that it will create different output since you've set it that way. The fees will be same as another and doesn't increase, maybe. If you have to divide your transactions into several amounts, then it will be fine, in order to prevent any problem to person who will receive those coins. Still, there are 2 weeks before segwit be activated and I guess this 'grace period' will be the crucial time for everyone to buy and sell due to pump and dump that might be happen. Bitcoin price has reached the new ATH in most exchanges and it seems rise up steadily, good thing for us. Most people will vote for yes, as we do know what bitcoin capable to achieve in the future.
But, the problem is, we don't know what exactly will happen in the future, and what kind of problems that may cause bitcoin price fall to $500? If the problem really a big, bad one and bitcoin won't survive, no, I won't buy back.
Maybe because bitcoin protocol, basic nodes could changed in the future and cause massive cash out from everyone, then nothing left for bitcoin, hopefully it won't happen as long as devs team and all of us in here keep supporting bitcoin environment.

obviously crypto is a financial instrument and subject to the same human psychology as everything else, but it's also an idea and still an unfamiliar one to most. because of this its establishment may not behave in the way everyone's expecting. there might be wave after wave of interest rather than peaks and lulls.

In other words, you want to say that bitcoin price will be fall down again in November? As there are a lot of waves that hit bitcoin. On November, 2Mb hard fork will be another problem and speculation will pop up like bubbles which affect bitcoin price. I saw a post saying: yeah burger king is willing to accept bitcoin in russia. Hopefully mcdonald will follow ! But why would someone pay 3$ fee therefore a third of his burger king menu in fee?

If you have money, do not hesitate to invest on bitcoin, consider it as your long term investment as bitcoin value will always increases as time goes on, as has been proven so far. Bitcoin created to be an alternative currency, but the problem is bitcoin can't afford too many transactions every second, so the fees increase in order to process transaction faster. yes, who wants to buy $2 fee for $5 burger? No one. That's why we've been waiting for segwit be activated and be solved those problems. Many people maybe hundreds or thousands of them doing it everyday, buy bitcoin or other altcoins in bittrex, bitstamp, kraken or coinbase, and then sell it at higher point. The problem is, you should know when the price will be fall and when the best time to sell it, which almost like gambling, lucky guess or loss for a moment. Yes, just for a moment, maybe several months, but bitcoin price will be recover again for sure, and your money will be paid off for full, even more if you can be patient.

I'm wondering about how bitcoin could reach $10,000. Yes, it can but need some time maybe just like the article mentioned in 3 years later, but I think it can be in the next year if there is no any obstacles ahead. I really like this one Bitcoin is the first and always leading cryptocurrency. After some coins tried to be the next bitcoin, but ended being dumped such as few days ago after hard fork. But, the civil war isn't over yet, because there is segwit2x which require another hard fork on November, whether people will support it or not.

i completely remember each of these and each time i have said this is a FUD and take advantage to buy cheap coins but people still panic sell!
i mean how many times "the exact same thing" has to happen before people start realizing there is a pattern here.
There is no point arguing with fools who call themselves trader after making an account on poloniex.The real money makers are holding and staying being liberal not giving two shits about the FUD's.I don't know how else to teach these fools the power of bitcoin. Indeed, all this problems and drama cause bitcoin fluctuate a lot even some people said it crash. Segwit will lock in in ~600 blocks. I suppose the price will increase further then and even more once it activates.
Then a correction will most likely follow, but I suspect we won't go below $3000 at that point.
It's not impossible for it to dip below $3000 these days though (before Segwit).
And bitcoin price seems decline a little bit to $3200, some people in rush to get profits obviously. But, I won't sell any coin yet as bitcoin suppose to reach higher price after segwit lock-in. BIP141 activates if 95% of hash power within about two weeks signals readiness before November 15th, it has reached 1516 blocks and 400 blocks remaining to reach 95%. I guess, segwit will be activated in few days later, then bitcoin price will on rally again run after $4000. |

I bet bitcoin will reach around $3600 before start to drop back a little bit, but I doubt it will fall below $3000 if people aware of segwit. Remember when Litecoin segwit activated and it rise from $5 to $50 within a month or two, same situation will happen with bitcoin. I would like to see it reach over $4000 after segwit activated and pity to those who sell their bitcoin earlier. |

I consider it's normal due to bitcoin market has growing even bigger after bcash launched, it seems many people have cashed out from free bch and invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin will continue to rise I think, due to segwit will be activated which is expected to become scale solution.
If it works and could afford so many transactions every second, reduce transaction fees and accelerate every transaction, then we may see bitcoin keep on rally and unstoppable.

Bitcoin price is over $3200
Eth price is $250 and its ATH maybe around $350-$370? I don't really remember.
Some traders speculate about ethereum could reach $1000 but it's unlikely to happen in the near future.
Because bitcoin will take all of those attention from people due to segwit will be activated soon, at that time, the price could reach over $4000 within days, and maybe reach $5000 but not sure about the highest point before get corrected. When bitcoin price start to rise, ethereum will follow it I guess, just like what happens right now.

The $3000 level was hanging in the air, after the 1st of August not having resulted in the drama people were waiting for to happen. It was great fun looking at how noobs were infecting each other with nonsense. Drama was complete when the price tanked below the $1900 level not that long ago. For me personally, not much changes as the $3000 level is just a normal price in my eyes. If miners would have allowed Segwit to activate through the original proposal, we would be sitting at +$4000 levels right now. But then again, better something than nothing I always say.

ICOs devs team should capable to do it by themselves, or ICO projects isn't for them.
ICO project is not for beginners or newbies obviously, it takes years of research to develop a successful project before start an ICO.
