801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should hold or sold BNB ? on: May 14, 2019, 02:50:53 PM
There will be a new project to conduct a tokensale there, Harmony. I think it will push the demand to the top, and increase the price significantly. Also, there is no correction between opening withdrawal and price drop. Don't be a victim of FUD.
I am not sure whether they opened deposits and withdrawals as they halted that after the hack and the price looks stable even though during the initial phase of the hack the price started going down but it has recovered along with the rest of the market, i will not personally stick with the coin after a major hack like this, i might sell off at a good profit and look for other possible investment rather than sticking back to BNB coin and the exchange .
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Will Happen To Ethereum Price in 2019? on: May 14, 2019, 01:34:58 PM
Market has just focused on Bitcoin price now. If Bitcoin price rise a little bit more, Ethereum price will start move upward. I think, Ethereum price may hit 500$ at the end of the year.
Never assume that the price could touch $500 simply because we see a rally in bitcoin, the price of bitcoin will move further and the market is really huge and that cannot be said about ETH, yes they have touched thousand dollars in the past but the fall from that was really huge, yes i had my losses in the market when it comes to ETH and the chain started showing its vulnerability and even with the Constantinople hard fork we did not see a sudden increase in price but it started moving when the bitcoin market started moving higher.
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tokens prices are decreasing? on: May 14, 2019, 01:19:19 PM
How do you respond when the tokens that you store prices continue to decline? whether you will sell as soon as possible or will hold until the price rises up again. Panic will certainly come over, but it doesn't have to sell. What do you think. Thank you very much.
It depends upon which projects you have invested, always follow their development and look whether they are fulfilling their road map which they released initially and if they are falling short make sure you sell them off without any delay as the market will dump hard, usually when the price of bitcoin moves higher people tend to sell of their alt coins and ride the rally, never go for alt coin in 2019 as we all know what happened to the majority of the projects, if you are so adamant that you want to invest in alt coins, then go for the top ten coins, the rest are hopeless.
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should bitcoin be limited to 21 million? on: May 08, 2019, 10:37:18 PM
I have mixed views on this because most currencies stay stable with some sort of inflation. Quite frankly you shouldn't be inflating by 2% per month as thst a huge market but I don't think anyone would be against an increase for this to be accepted as a currency.

The alternative view is that this is what altcoins are for and most of the people won't see the last block with the initial rewards being taken up but at a point where we're at a low number of bitcoins per block it may come in handy to increase inflation slightly although if it becomes unprofitable to mine it'll be the node owners doing the mining which wouldn't be a bad thing (each node miner with a few chips to mine with like the gekkos side hack makes - id be into that).
There is no point in changing the initial codes about the limited amount of bitcoins, we have an identity on what bitcoin is all about and we do not want to change the structure, we need to improve on certain things when it comes to transaction speed and transaction charges and that can be tackled with increase in blocks or lightening network or any other feasible method, other than that we do not need any changes what so ever that could change the face of bitcoin.
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tech Savvy Student Steals $7.5 Million in Cryptocurrency on: May 08, 2019, 10:11:43 PM
Joel Ortiz, a skilled SIM Swapper was caught and arrested back in May 2018. On April 22nd 2019, the District Attorney’s Office of Santa Clara County made their formal announcement about his sentence – 10 years in prison.

Ortiz was a 21-year-old Boston High School valedictorian and was very prolific at stealing cryptocurrency from SIM cards. The announcement states that he had hacked the crypto wallets (worth over $7.5 million) located on mobile phones of over 40 victims.
If he could have used his skills to make a better world rather than doing these kind of activity he could have made a better living in terms of his career and his life, technology can be used for good as well as bad and it depends upon an individual morality on what he does with his skills and there is nothing wrong in locking him behind bars for his acts, as every action does have a consequence so that it will be a precedent for everyone to view in the future so they will not do those activities .
806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Triggers Gambling Addiction on: May 08, 2019, 09:21:33 PM
"Sometimes winning isnt good at all". This is the phrase i always got in my mind whenever i saw someone or read something that pertains to gambling addiction. I see that people are so greedy and do anything to win.
When you are gambling you very well know that you are not going to win all the time, even then greed is not the main reason for people to become addicted, physiological state of an individual at that particular time is more important and if he is into depression he might be exhausting his money gambling and greed to make more money is not the only factor. In fact, there is no one factor to become an addict, there is a lot of factors to be in that situation.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lil Pump now accepts Bitcoin as payment on: May 08, 2019, 08:55:10 PM
Lil Pump, a successful rapper and singer in USA, now accepts Bitcoins as payment through Lightning Network.
Does it mean that he accepts payment in bitcoin for his tracks, either way it is a good news of the entire community as you have the option to purchase things with bitcoin, earlier 50 Cent accepted bitcoin for his tracks and he made a ton of money with it when the price rallied and may be Lil Pump saw that as an opportunity and may be he is also looking for a little pump in the price of bitcoin  Cheesy.
808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 08, 2019, 08:39:30 PM
T20 and ODI is totally two different format. WI is very tough competitor (I guess they are current champion) in T20 but in ODI they are below average team. On the other hand Bangladesh team has decent achievement and recent performance in ODI matches. This team improved a lot in the last few years.

I will predict Bangladesh to win the tri-series.
The two formats are entirely different but West Indies does have quality players that could change the course of a match if they are playing their top players, i am not sure about their inner politics on who will be in the playing eleven and Bangladesh also improved a lot and they are playing good cricket for the past few years and how well they cope with the English conditions will make the difference in the world cup and Bangladesh started well in the series and the West Indies bowlers were not up to the mark defending a modest total.
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop chasing the "next" bitcoin on: May 08, 2019, 06:19:02 PM
I agree, but it is difficult to change opinion among people when BTC became so friendly, popular and profitable. They will be constantly looking for some similar cost-effective crypto, there are plenty of others coins which are good too but users will compare them to BTC anyways...
There will be other coins which might be attractive but you cannot compare it to bitcoin, the main reason why people are looking for new coins to invest when the price is low and to make a fortune when the price moves higher, those days are over and the good coins are already in the market with specific functions and the chances to make a fortune is not possible at this time.
810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto holds 980,000 Bitcoins.. does anyone know their addresses? on: May 08, 2019, 04:19:11 PM
Blokchain is decentralized, so no one know the own of any BTC adress. Morever, i think Satoshi is a group, not only one person. I think top 10 Altcoin (2016,2017 table) are "Satoshi Nakamoto". They creat Blockchain, creat BTC first and then. they creat another altcoin. You can see the code of top 10, they are the same
If the code remains the same that does not mean Satoshi created all those alt coin, it only means that they copied the source code of bitcoin and altered a bit and started their own coin, we have a lot of coins in the top list where a simple tweet and voila a new coin is created in a billion dollar valuation, since it is open source anyone could come up with their own coin.
@OP Some of the initial addresses are public and no one have a concrete idea on how many wallets are owned by the creator himself.
811  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance lost $40.7 million to hackers, which exchange is next!!! on: May 08, 2019, 09:20:21 AM
The thing is he actually discussed the idea with Jihan and only then he changed his mind. He is desperate.
Which makes me think, the lost funds may not be 7k btc only. If he can discuss a crazy idea like a rollback, I don't think it is just 7k. 7k coins is only $40m. It is potato chips for binance.

I believe there is more going on. He is not ready to tell us, yet.
Lol
Looks like CZ has lost his mind even though he is trying hard to play it cool to come up with a decision for a roll back  Cheesy. He is a hiding the real loss and still playing cool in public that it is not a big deal which is really silly, it might be potato chips for binance and we have seen some chips breaking in the past after playing cool. To come up with a decision for a roll back, he might be really crazy to think that the entire community will accept that because CZ said so  Roll Eyes.
812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto thefts, fraud hit $1.2 billion in Q1 report on: May 07, 2019, 06:12:40 PM
I still can't wrap my mind around why people wouldn't want to have compliance with AML and KYC to better help that this doesn't happen
You really think that the fraud is happening because of lack of AML and KYC, if that is the case you are mistaken, these compliance is for legit businesses and the fraud ICO and the hacks that happened in multiple exchanges are the root cause for these losses and it has nothing to do with other factors regarding strict compliance of KYC, so do not mix these things up.
813  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to recover when you are down 90% of your portfolio? on: May 07, 2019, 02:43:28 PM
Hey guys, my friends and I were down 90% of our crypto portfolio. We bought at the highs and we bought shitcoins. Now we are still down significantly and i just want to ask if you guys have strategy to recover from this? Cheers!
Listing your portfolio would be a better way to start things rather than starting a vague topic, there are thousands of coins in the market and if you are not willing to reveal in which coins you have invested, it is really hard to give any advice, if you have invested in shit projects there is a possibility that you wont be able to recover those losses at all and all the shit projects shut their doors when the market went down due to funding issues and there might not be any revival.
814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC procedure in online casinos does more good than bad or the other way around? on: May 07, 2019, 02:27:20 PM
I'm not saying I am pro or against KYC. I really just want to get insights from different perspectives.
The problem with KYC in gambling site is that some of the countries does view gambling as a grey area and they might not be having a clear regulation and people will avoid providing their details as they do not want any trouble for having fun in the form of gambling. Some people are not fortunate to have freedom and bitcoin should help people who are living in other part of the world who does not have those opportunities and are living under dictatorship or strict religious rules, money laundering should be curtailed but the freedom should not be curtailed either.
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet the Wealthiest People in Crypto on: May 07, 2019, 01:48:59 PM
I really doubt whether this list can be accurate. If you own a huge amount in crypto, then for practical purposes you will try your level best to hide that fact from anyone. Admitting this may attract unwanted attention from the criminals. However, the anonymity will be lost once the holder try to convert his coins to fiat through the exchanges.
It is possible to hide that you are the owner but you cannot hide from the blockchain, the list is published by forbes and they will not publish something which is not accurate, the big companies will be filing for tax and so is the reason these data will become public, there might be people who will be holding a huge amount of money in cryptos, but if you are conducting business you have to reveal your source of income and the amount of coins you are holding to be on the right side of the law.
816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins labelled a gambling device on: May 07, 2019, 01:29:10 PM
According to the sources Warren Buffet apparently thinks of Bitcoin as a gambling device.
What do you guys think ?
Is this true or something that is disrespectful for our community.
This is not the first time we hear a negative approach from Warren Buffet regarding bitcoin and it will not be the last time, he is an old guy who is not aware of the technological improvement and i really doubt whether he understands what bitcoin is all about, i am sure he understands how the market moves, but Warren being a stock guru who made his fortunes in the stock market he might find it difficult to understand the entire decentralized concept of bitcoin.
817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 07, 2019, 12:09:29 PM
Guys anyone is watching Bangladesh vs West Indies? After winning the toss WI elected to bat and so far they have scored 64 runs without losing any wickets after 12.1 over.
What is your prediction?
We have an IPL match too today.
Bangladesh performs really well in conditions where it will help the spinners and they have some good spinners in their team and check all of their wins because their spinners are potent in Asian conditions and since they are playing in Dublin there is no way the pitch will help their bowlers and if West Indies can post a huge total, i really do not see Bangladesh chasing that.
818  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin on its way to $20,000? on: May 07, 2019, 11:37:08 AM
$20,000?

Probably around 6-12 months are the halving (which is 12 months from now). I’d say we’ll reach a new ATH between late 2020 & mid 2021.

It’s going to be like a rocket from there though, expect to potentially see $100,000 per coin by 2022.
I really do not want to see a sharp rise like that in a short span, if that happens how can you describe it rather than calling it a bubble and the fall from that will be bad on papers too, you can make a lot of money when the price touches those valuation but the general perception of bitcoin will change and people will start seeing it as dump and dumb market and it wont be good for the market, steady growth is what we need to see in this market, but not sure whether we will see that.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 07, 2019, 04:24:48 AM
It was good to see Warner and Smith back playing for Australia again yesterday in their warm up match against New Zealand in Brisbane. Warner didn't open the batting but came in at number 3 and batted well for his 39 however Smith didn't do as well getting out for 22. It will be interesting to see how Australia work out the top order as maybe Khawaja can go down to number 3 where he used to bat and have Warner open with Finch.
Really good to see Warner and Smith back in the game but the concern will be the form of Smith after a long suspension from international cricket, Warner is striking the ball even in the IPL but i could not see the old touch of Smith, would like to see Warner to open along with Finch and Khawaja to come at one down followed by Smith and Marsh.

I guess Khawaja will not be selected for the playing XI in world cup.
Khawaja is one of the in form batsmen for Australia in the past few months and you think he wont be selected is just silly.
820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Happy accidents on: May 07, 2019, 02:38:24 AM
I accidentally price the spin button in a slot machine without thinking about my bet and it was too late because it was a max bet. Good thing I got a bonus spin, and damn those 10 free spins gave me huge winnings at the end, got 50x of my capital, cash in out and laughing my ass off. Grin
Heard many stories like this, making a ton of money with free bets and it is a really fortunate things, but i never had those lucky moments, when ever i place a bet i usually go for the safer option rather than risking big but you end up loosing, my lucky moment was when i placed a bet on Tennis, if i remember correctly it was the French open 2012 Roger Federer v Del Potro and as usual i placed the bet on favorites but the first set was lost by a big margin and the second set was heading the same direction and i thought i messed up big time and switched off the television thinking the game is gone, but then he made a huge come back and won the next three sets, which was really incredible and that was my happy accident as i did not expect to win after losing the first two sets.
