@crypt0dude I'm very familiar with scaling challenges and Kraken does not have a "http requests" problem but a strategy/management one. You cannot handle peoples money this bad for so long. There is no transparency with what is going on, no communication, no time-frame, nothing etc. "Our dev are working hard on fixing" is not an answer. You cannot have your dev team work on your site on "black-friday" to optimize/scale it, you have to prepare for that long before.
Looking at trading volume kraken has more than $3mil monthly revenue, renting 100x high performance physical(baremetal) servers not that virtual machine rubbish, costs no more than $40k(which is obviously overkill). So why are we getting so many cloudflare errors? Api-enpoint failures? Is it because key systems where designed to scale just vertically or because they didn't bother to automate the horizontal scaling process and now is failing!?
I have registered specially to post this because recent comments said that things might have gotten back to normal which is just not true.
I hope Kraken get's back on track soon, but in the mean time somebody should tell us what is going on!!

What happens if my wallet goes offline while I am paid by the mining pool?
Will the funds automatically get deposited to my wallet, when the wallet comes back online?

Your wallet doesn't need to be online. Transactions are recorded in blocks. When you start your wallet it will sync and get all the blocks that were made in the time you wallet wasn't turned on. And then you will be able to access your coins. |

Well, on this thread, user "Kraken-Septimus" asked for my ticket number, and although they didn't respond back here after I posted it, I did hear back from their agent "Andrew" via email shortly thereafter. I'm hoping Kraken-Septimus comes back to this thread soon, because my problem isn't resolved -just changed to a different problem - and I still need help. Of course, everyone has to sleep, but I hope Kraken-Septimus comes back soon... Glen Dude. They gave you a perfectly clear answer. Your bank refuses to handle wires from Kraken. Change banks if you want your $$$ out. |

well yes , yesterday my kraken account was compromised , hackers got access to my email address , but i hope i was fast enough to change the password.
yesterday kraken webiste was extremely slow , and many times i got timeout error , but i was able to change kraken account password , but by that time hackers was able to add two factor authentication so now even if i change the password unable to log in , to bypass two factor authentication i must write to support ,
hackers was in my kraken account about 15 mins, but as i said , website was extremely slow. i have not received any more emails (that bitcoin withdrawal address has been added ,or withdrawal initiated ) , the only think that im afraid of is API keys , is hackers was able to generate API keys what they can do with it ?? can they exchange 14k euros to bitcoin and withdraw ? (even then they must add new bitcoin address and confirm it trough email) this also needed via API control ? i have never used API in the past and and know very little about it.

Hi Everyone.
I see lots of frustrated messages today, which is understandable as we have been experiencing many failed orders today. It's very unpropitious and it's something we are looking to correct in the near future.
We have been saying for quite some time that there will be an update on our trading engine and we now have a general idea of when that will be. After many months of hard work the plan is to have it completed by the end of the year. This is not a promise but it is the goal.
Thank you all for your ongoing fortitude.
These are issues we have been pointing out for the last few years. I'm guessing your current page & trading engine are not scalable. And you basically gave up on it since it's probably also why your support is swamped in support tickets (your Twitter bot isn't helping make this better either). So in comes the new trading engine. A shinning savior that will turn everything it touches to gold. Let's call it Midas. Hooray! |
