801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Accredited Investor Portals for buying ICO on: March 26, 2019, 08:28:25 AM
I recently came across https://republic.co/ and was wondering if there were any other crypto focused accredited investor portals.  Also want to find one that has no up-front fee.  We looked into coinlist last summer and at the time they wanted $50K upfront plus 2-3% of the funds raised.

Recently learned that advertising a Reg D 506 b sale inside an accredited investor portal does not count as general solicitation so it'd be nice to be able to reach new investors.
The website you provide is more like a startup portal than a ico portal. There are a few websites like this, but I don't think they're successful. Currently the trend IEO. You should look at the ico's on exchanges like binance.
That's a portal for accreditor investors to invest their money but that's not work in the cryptocurrency. OP was looking for a site that used by accredited investors to invest their money but it looks not possible to get it right now.
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of IEO (Initial Exchange Offering) platforms on: March 26, 2019, 08:05:42 AM
More exchange sites will be interesting to launch their own ico but that's not a new idea. each exchange site will have the different result compared with another exchange site and it looks like more IEO service will come that's easy money for exchange site
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe the crypto market will never take off! on: March 22, 2019, 01:48:31 AM
Another huge sell off in crypto market was happened yesterday when in just few minutes from 141$ billion total market cap it fall sharply to 137$+billion  most coins are suffering morethan 5% loss thus this shows that crypto market are  easily manipulated? Crypto market  Is really unpredictable nowadays.
It's not a huge sell off but that's a correction and if that was a huge sell off and that will make the marketcap will go even lower than 130 billions but it's still above 130 billions dollars. a little bounce back has already happened dude.
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see a future with one cryptocurrency or thousands? on: March 22, 2019, 01:46:29 AM
I don't see one crypto but many cryptocurrency , thousands it too much for me. Cryptocurrency always have a future and i am already invest to some cryptocurrency.
It's not too much for bitcoin and crypto can worth hundreds thousands in the future especially for bitcoin because there are less than 21 millions supply to be used by billions people in the world and bitcoin has started from satoshi's imagination.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO investment still worth it? on: March 21, 2019, 07:14:50 AM
For the past two months almost all the ICOs i have invested when they get listed on exchange, they are reduced by about 300% of the price i bought it. Those who buy after the ICO tend to gain more profit than we the early adopters. Now am confused whether i should continue with ICO investments or stop. Guys what do you think

In some aspect, no, but if you will going to invest and make the best decision to invest on the best ICO, why not to earn profit? In my opinion, investment is never not worth it. Unless you are very passionate about to earn.
In ico the result will be back on how you can analyze any ico and take the right conclusion about that, your analyzation will matter a lot in this case. some icos may scam but there was an ico that's not scam too. if we can manage it properly and we can get the best ico.
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Governing bodies for abuses in crypto system? on: March 20, 2019, 02:00:29 PM
I somehow get to a point where low liquidity token value is because of huge volume supply. Now the problem is that they only had declared few circulating supply and that other tokens are reserved. The reserved tokens are subject for abuses like the team being greedy and use it in the future sales or private sale to which the team could earn on it without letting the community inform with the sales. This is a kind of corruption right?

Is their any governing bodies that will accept reports for abuses in cryptocurrency system especially those who team handling ICO projects or any crowdfunding activities?

If that was not even registered in the regulators or placed in the country that already created regulation for this kind of crap thing and then you must do a lot of research before try to invest in anything.
that's why DYOR is a mandatory for everyone.
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto After Death? on: March 18, 2019, 11:53:23 PM
Nothing happens to them, they just stay in the wallet forever, or until they invent a quantum computer that can unlock the wallet.

Quantum will not so easy to open it. i guess any SHA already had quantum resistance. you need to understand what the quantum computer is and how it works. I guess it will degrade the SHA that used by crypto right now.
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QKC] QuarkChain-First Project Fully Implement State Sharding on: March 18, 2019, 11:24:08 PM
Quarkchain is one of the best project of the year which will set new direction for this ecosystem. It have very large community and it is growing more faster than before I believe this won't remain undervalue for long time surely it will become next big star.

I've encountered projects that are very promising but later on the enthusiasm of supporters died down. This might be a good project to look at but I am wondering what are the strategic plans of the dev team to maintain the dynamism of its community? Very few can survive long term so keeping its life is really a challenge.
to keep the latest update to give more convenience to the investors, QKC was actively giving us a lot of update anytime and this can keep the community.

Dev, is there ETA about when the main net will be launched?
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nexo - The World's First Instant Crypto-backed Loans on: March 18, 2019, 11:20:22 PM
Is it correct that Nexo will not allow their own token to be used as collateral for crypto-backed loans?

Not true.  However, LTV has retreated to about 15% and NEXO token can only be used to repay interest. At least here to date in the USA.
that means if nexo token still can't be used as collateral and i think it's not the same as collateral. It just like utility usage of token itself in the platform.
Just curious, do i need to give collateral before i can request the loan? how it works. im interesting on it.
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will end the hype of ICO ? on: March 17, 2019, 11:21:14 PM
The ICO hype seems already over, I haven't seen any hype ICO  recent time except Binance Launchpad ICO! Though it is not the typical ICO, it is addressed by the new name IEO! By comparing with the last year, the ICO market is almost dying this year, very very few projects are able to make the softcap, some projects even closed after reaching the soft cap! So, it's like the ICO hype era is already ended!
And then you are not watching the market properly, visit ico drops and there was a lot of independent icos are getting a lot of demand. ico will never be ended because that just like to bring crypto in competition between each developer to another developer.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable Coins Necessary? on: March 16, 2019, 11:01:33 PM
I think that at the moment the market already has a sufficient number of stable coins and the emergence of new stable coins will not improve their situation.

Definitely agree. Stablecoin should not be too much. When there's already too many stablecoin the new stablecoin will be useless because the function is basically the same so why bother create one again. They better off developing something else that's more functional than the stablecoin.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet to use? on: March 16, 2019, 06:06:21 PM
For ETH tokens, I use MEW. Reliable and easy to use wallet.

It seems to me that 80 percent of all users work with MEW. Although the smartphone I am using app Jaxx . It is very comfortable and supports several dozen cryptocurrencies.
MyCrypto is the "forked" MEW and it's pretty decent too. Both of them seem to hold the same security level to the point where they would recommend you to install their app so that you can use it without imposing the risk to a phishing site also encouraging 2fa. They are indeed the leaders of ETH wallet.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will banks disappear because of cryptocurrency? on: March 16, 2019, 06:04:32 PM
I think bank will still go on but i think they will adopt to crypto may be also day will make their own coins  Wink
Most likely, banks will simply give up the fiat and start using the cryptocurrency as a means of payment over time
Not most likely. Bank have a really huge chance of creating their own means of digital currency just like how credit and debit card works. Because of that cryptocurrency will have a hard time competing because people are already thinking that Bank is the place where they can store and do some transactions meanwhile there's better option out there.
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is too complicated on: March 13, 2019, 06:37:12 AM
Centralized financial companies are constantly working on solutions to make transactions between different parties as easy as possible, however, the cryptocurrency and blockchain payment solutions are very complicated for the average person to use.
Until this is put in check, cryptocurrency payments will never have a chance to overcome fist.
Basically before try to use and a newbie needs to get some education about blockchain but i understand about what point of yours. but blockchain will try to remove the middle party. some people have used it to buy gift card, voucher or something else and it's all working smoothly.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins are the best..!! on: March 13, 2019, 06:34:49 AM
I do not agree that altcoins are the best coins. Bitcoin is much more promising and it develops technologically every year more and more. Soon, Altcoins will no longer be needed because Bitcoin will have all the necessary functions.
each investor's opinion is certainly different from one another with different coins and that makes investors have their own opinions and beliefs in investing with their own crypto currency
bitcoin and altcoin were good investment for us as long as we know how and when to buy.without analisys even that bitcoin itself we could suffering loss.and that's done by most of investors.
bitcoin is definitely the best coin but altcoin has a lot of variations. so I suggest choosing a good altcoin and has the potential to be used as an investment choice
It's so stupid to choose scam altcoin as your investment and everyone has very well known about that. bitcoin is best but not so best to be used to get profit for short term, in this case, altcoin will play very well.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the development of waves coins on: March 13, 2019, 06:33:11 AM
30 years ago, Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web.

Today, they are celebrating the launch of Web3.0 – a new era in the history of the internet. Web3.0 will see the decentralisation of many of the online services we use every day, making them more secure, private and user-friendly.

To find out more, check out their new website and the latest blog post: https://blog.wavesplatform.com/web3-0-the-road-ahead-for-waves-9bd8a51f63ce
Just curious about dapps of waves and i have a question. Can you tell me which is dapps that fully used the waves blockchain platform? It's not so easy to declare the new era of decentralization called web 3.0
consider the latest has already told us about a lot of dapps still lack of demand.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Worst case scenario in the crypto industry on: March 13, 2019, 06:22:27 AM
Each project has a different way of working. I admit that in 2018 there are many ICOs that reach a soft cap, but not yet listed on any exchanger. And this method I feel is less effective for a project that holds its coin into an exchanger. It will also harm and make investors nervous.

If this always happen, many people wont invest in new project or ICOs. Investor must be prefer invest in coin or token that already listed in exchanger and i think its bad for good new project.
that means if most of them need to list their token on the medium exchange site to get enough liquidity. most of them turning into the garbage platform that thinking if the exchange site is not really needed.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Publish0x - The next Steemit? on: March 09, 2019, 09:14:38 AM
In Steemit in recent months the popularity has decreased a bit, became less interesting articles, I think this is a good chance for other platforms.
The rewards are decreasing a lot meanwhile the competition is getting harder, atleast that's what I think about steemit. It doesn't matter even if there's new platform like steemit if the cycle will just like the one that steemit has it will end in no time.
The new platform really need to get their pace up and invent new innovation to attract people.
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs false marketing is destructive. ICOs must provide real & honest values on: March 09, 2019, 05:48:02 AM
Sometimes ICO companies talk too much and it becomes evident to the community, so it is actually negative for the project raise, not positive.
'Kinda true considering that so many people are always doing their own observation even there's some youtube content creator that always discussing about credibility and whitepaper of certain projects.
Also, in the chatting group of every project there will be always someone asking question in regard to their suspicion.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Gaming and It's Future on: March 09, 2019, 05:46:25 AM

We can see the enthusiasm of millennial people towards the game. Many of them spend their money on a game by buying game tokens. And this can be used by the blockchain industry to enter the gaming world.

Online gaming will be huge bussiness because everyone holding smartphone that can used for online gaming. Gaming is trillion dollar industry and blockchain gaming will be a new bussiness model in gaming industry. I am believe many developers will make new project because gaming industry still at early stage and have potential for growing
To be honest the development of blockchain based game is just as you said still on really early stage. There's too much thing need to be resolved first and most of them are about networking and technical. I really think that we are still far from blockchain based gaming ages.
Howver, it seems blockchain could do pretty well in term of mobile gaming like a really light game not the demanding ones.
