801  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Earn Bitcoins on: August 05, 2017, 08:49:20 AM
Thank you all very helpful. This is what i was looking for I know its not easy and my method to date has been putting cash into Bitcoin. Just curious of other methods or good places to learn. I have been browsing this forum for a while now and i guess the terminology of everything is what is getting me right now. I appreciate all the feedback

Welcome, in this forum, signature campaign is just a way to earn bitcoin but there are other methods such as offers your skills on this board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0 if you can do something like web design or even signature designer.
If you have something to sell, then you can do it on this board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0 where people sell and buy goods. Well, it is easier if you have something to offer than just nothing, but keep your spirit and hard work.
802  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin world currency on: August 05, 2017, 08:18:46 AM
is it possible that we can use bitcoins in buying all commodities not only in one country but the entire wold? and how will this affect the economy.
No.
This would require everyone to use bitcoin. For obvious reasons, bitcoin cannot be used everywhere (or outside of a wifi field, for that matter). there are some situations where you simply cannot avoid fiat; physical tokenized value just makes a lot of sense for the way that we conduct business in this day and age.

Moving on to the network. Scaling be damned, if we attempt to process even a fraction of the transactions ACH sees in a day, your miner would ignite in protest Smiley we would need to do alot to accommodate all that traffic. and to be honest, it would be inefficient to use the network in this manner. fiat is very quick, very clean. the only processing power you need is the calories you used to give a person back change.

while bitcoin is groovy, fiat is the boss daddy.

but if you can print out btc paper dollars, well, that changes everything.

Btc printed on paper? I remember there is someone who did it before, a physical form just like Casascius physical bitcoins, but I can't find the any links about it.
I do not agree if we need everyone to use bitcoin in order to buy commodities all over the world.
Because, we can do it by contacting someone whether in this forum or outside, who provides something that you need, even though it's risky and you can buy it in the country. But, if more countries legalize bitcoin or isssue some regulations about bitcoin as a legal payment, then it will be easier and become a great support for bitcoin growth.
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I make sure to not lose $ value in BTC? on: August 05, 2017, 05:39:50 AM
Bitcoin price always fluctuate and it is normal due to bitcoin is an object to get more profit, for now.
Until we have bigger acceptance and steady demand because its usability, then we should get used to it.
The idea to be paid with bitcoin is a complicated situation, just like Op have mentioned, while we keep bitcoin, there is no way to set certain price in order not to lose the value in $. Because we're on competition to buy and sell at the right time, sell bitcoin whenever you want at the peak, after bitcoin rise significantly - it will get corrected obviously.
804  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-04]Even Friedcat Can’t Ignore Bitcoin Cash, Over 17k BTC Moved on: August 05, 2017, 05:16:14 AM
Easy money, everybody wants it that's why bch price seems like a dead cat for now.
Who want to buy it? When everyone has many bch and there's no any usability yet instead of for trading purpose right now.
After bch deposit allowed, many exchanges get huge amount of bcash flow into their wallet and stuck there simply because people don't want to sell it less than $300 (mostly) after they have seen bch reached over $1000. But, I doubt bch will ever get back to $1000 again or at least not in this year.
805  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: AML & KYC service on: August 05, 2017, 12:10:52 AM
pedrog

In general You should provide data about previous money owner: you should give copy of contract, copy of bill, in some cases even copy of id.

It is not so important for small amount, in my country not so important if it is less than 10k EUR a month.

If more - you will have to prove that money is legal. And doesn't matter was it fiat money or exchanged from bitcoin

If it wasn't so - Columbia and Afganistan would be largest bitcoin owners

And what if, he can't provide the document for bitcoin? His money will be seized/freezed? Worse decision to deposited into bank.
If he got it from long term holding, then it should be easy to prove it legal money as trading (buy low - sell high) is legal, right?
But in bitcoin or ethereum, if it was collected from many sources/people who invest on ICO, yes it seems impossible to provide data about previous owners.
806  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What about cloud mining? on: August 04, 2017, 11:41:04 PM
6-8 months ROI isn't a good idea for me, but if you consider lifetime contract, then it is slightly profitable.
I don't want to be involved in this game of investment which mostly ended with loss, not all but it's not worth in my opinion.
Many newbies trying to get bitcoin through cloud mining and it's their choice, just buy and hold bitcoin for long term is better I guess.
807  Economy / Speculation / Re: Game over for now on: August 04, 2017, 11:18:29 PM
No way to make any decent gains for the forseeable future. Mkt cap is $50b that means $100b to double your money.  I see sideways bs looking for idiot buyers for awhile then a bear market before the next leg up.
The current adoption simply doesn't support a continued rise.

Current adoption is just a beginning, bitcoin will continue to rise up over time because its demand always increase due to the usability of bitcoin, a better currency than conventional fiat money. Bitcoin has created not to doubled your money, but if you want to, you have to be patient for some time. When bitcoin get more attention, more governments regulated bitcoin as a legal payment such as in Japan, then you'll see its price doubled.
808  Economy / Exchanges / Re: poloniex alert on: August 04, 2017, 10:41:59 PM
Poloniex used to be one of my favourite exchanges, but that time has passed, I've moved over to Bittrex and Kraken.

If it's true that they're on the verge of insolvency, it's no surprise that they're going to keep all the users' BCH for themselves.
That might keep them from going bankrupt.

Are they still delaying withdraws btw? Did anyone get their BTC out of there before August 1?

I had a withdrawal for 9 days pending but it just came through on the 31st.. in time to be credited BCcash

Another problem, waiting for 9 days? Poloniex has ruined their reputation and all of those little problems have been accumulated.
At least they have warn people to move out from their exchange, as they don't want to give you bcash obviously.
Slow response and withdrawal delays may be a good sign to immediately get out from long time ago before you regret it.
Always remember, exchanges has created for trading purpose, not to keep your money, so get in and get out as fast as possible.
809  Economy / Economics / Re: Never Fear! Buy Bitcoins to make your life clear! on: August 04, 2017, 02:51:56 PM
There is surely nothing to fear but the only issue I'm facing is to afford one bitcoin , now if you 1 bitcoin is 3000$ and that is not a small amount to make profit also you need bitcoin but owing one is really hard these days. I was checking the economy news and saw india is the best performing currency in aisa i did a bit more research and found out if someone has 1 bitcoin he will have 2 lakh rupes not sure if i wrote it correct and an normal engineer earns 70k per month. This is just a example but i was show casing the trouble to own 1 bitcoin in today's date

Bitcoin price become more expensive over time, this is just like double edge sword because people could enjoy the profits by sell bitcoin but for new adopters, bitcoin is not affordable, more or less. Do not see BTC1 equal to $2852, but imagine how much it would be in the next month, 6 months or next year. That's how people think if want to invest on bitcoin, because its price is a bubble which we are waiting for someone else buy it from us for a higher price. The cycle always repeated, so better to invest as soon as possible.
810  Economy / Economics / Re: Proof of Work on: August 04, 2017, 01:44:18 PM
Bitcoin and gold has several advantages and disadvantages, but I consider bitcoin is better than gold.
In some ways bitcoin is better than gold— it is way easier to transfer big amounts, easier to hide etc, it will have a more stable supply and at some point in the future no supply at all — 0% inflation. In other ways it is worse — first of all it is much more fragile: gold can function even if it is no longer mined, in bitcoin mining is mandatory

Bitcoin value will always growing, and this article mentioned after all blocks have been mined when miners reward will come entirely from transaction fees. This problem has been discussed many times, and I think in the future when bitcoin transaction become mainstream and could afford maybe more than 100K per second, then bitcoin fees should be enough, but who knows.
811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone sends Bitcoin Cash to a Bitcoin address? on: August 04, 2017, 06:55:28 AM
Everyone here in the previous comments are clueless, bitcoin cash and bitcoin use the exact same private keys so if you sent bitcoin cash to a bitcoin address the owner of that bitcoin address can claim it on a bitcoin cash wallet by loading up their private key.

In other words you lose nothing.

Yes absolutely we can,
BTC and BCH/BCC address are identically same,in other words they're living in the same roof.
even if you accidentally send it to your BTC address you still can claim it,
well another real history you can see it in here :
https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/6r48sm/accidentally_sent_btc_from_my_nano_s_to_a_bcc/

he did it,and you can see it how he handled it.
obviously,if you send it into third party wallets you need them to help you out.

PS : For now you can do it,but for tomorrow ? try to avoid this kind of mistakes not a good thing for you to do it obviously.

That's why bcash has problems regarding send and receive, it has some bugs and must  be solved.
I have read a warning before send bcc into btc address which said your bitcoin will be lost.
Well, I don't know for sure because I have not tried it yet but considering bcash and bitcoin running on different chain, it should be impossible to send one to another chain.
812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: August 04, 2017, 01:22:36 AM
After there is a BCC can the bitcoin survive or bitcoin will be much more up the price after this
What do you think about this?

I don't think parity is possible, meaning that, it's just impossible that both coins have the same price.

So judging from this premise, one of the two coins, will go down, or one of the two coins, will go up while the other one stays where it is at best, or goes down too.

If I had to bet, it's pretty obvious BTC is the winning coin. It has the Core devs on board, it's the legacy chain, and it has segwit which is good, unless you subscribe to the anti-segwit conspiracy theories.

Bcc isn't the toughest rival for bitcoin, in fact there is none of altcoins could compare to bitcoin at the moment.
Look at some exchanges that has listed bcc, it has problems regarding deposit or withdrawal, doesn't fully working.
As the most important thing that affects digital currency development is the usability, and bitcoin has been accepted in various business and companies, but not for altcoins.
813  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Could Coinbase be forced to support BCC? on: August 03, 2017, 11:59:22 PM
Users are starting a class action lawsuit against Coinbase so they can get their BCH. Anyone think this could result in Coinbase supporting BCH and allowing trading to open? Might be the easiest way to settle with these customers.

https://news.bitcoin.com/coinbase-customers-could-instigate-class-action-lawsuit-over-bitcoin-cash/
Are you not get a notice about how the network of bitcoin cash right now? You are not able to make any transaction to the exchange site. So, your complaint will be useless, the decision will be in the coin base's hand. You can't do anything for that.

Indeed, coinbase has decided to not support bitcoin cash as it may has some problems and it has been proven so far. Even for some big exchanges still halt bcash transactions due to unstable or whatever with this new altcoin. And there is a news about coinbase plans to allow bitcoin cash withdrawals in January 2018, so all of them who demand for it will be happy, or at least.
Bitcoin exchange Coinbase has reversed its decision to support bitcoin cash. The company now plans to allow customers to withdraw their new cryptocurrency by January 1, 2018.

814  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Dota 2 play for money on: August 03, 2017, 11:10:30 PM
Indeed, bcc is another good coin which most people would like to cash out but it's has some problems right now.
So, how your project progresses? $8000 per month from dota-2 betting site? And even you've planned to launch an ICO and add CS.
If you need BTC30, why people should invest on your project? Besides people will get CLC, is this coin just for betting purpose?
815  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC upto 5000$!! on: August 03, 2017, 04:58:45 PM
There are some factors which cause bitcoin could reach over $5000 or not.
Normally, bitcoin value always rise over time and even reach fantastic point in the end of the year.
And consider about Segwit will be activated, then I am sure we will see bitcoin exceed $5K.
But consider about another chain split, segwit2x 2Mb proposal, this news could lead to many speculations and bitcoin price will fall again.
I doubt there would be a further split as the ones who weren't supporting Segwit2x have already had their BCC hardfork. But still if 100% majority wouldn't reached, there would be a split. This would have major effect on the Bitcoin price. But that is too far to speculate anything. As for now I don't see $5000 before next year. We might see something near to $3500-$4000 for sure if this trend goes further. This slow growth of Bitcoin shows that it is getting stable with time.

rowthpe bitcoin split regarding segwit2x won't happen but who know that for sure?
You have to see https://coin.dance/blocks?update where segwit2x already surpassed 80% threshold as it is over 90% right now.
If segwit activated, than bitcoin could reach $5000 by the end of this year as we know the impact of segwit to litecoin before, its price skyrocket from pennies to $50
816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers are active these days. on: August 03, 2017, 04:23:21 PM
Some bitcoin users told me not to do transactions in these couple of days because hackers are active these days. I want to know is it true? or some kind of rumor? Anyone here who have faced such problem?

You should know to transact using bitcoin and be safe as well. I think it just a rumor as hackers always active looking for a prey  Cheesy
Hackers can not just seeing your transactions on blockchain and decide to get your coins, because they need more information.
Even if they know your wallet address, as long as you have some precaution ways to prevent such things, it's impossible to hack your wallet.
817  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-02]Could SegWit2x Lead to Three Different Bitcoins? on: August 03, 2017, 03:54:20 PM
I have just checked segwit2x (intention) on https://coin.dance/blocks?update and it has reached 90% support
According to NY agreement, Segwit2Mb proposal:
- Activate Segregated Witness at an 80% threshold, signaling at bit 4
- Activate a 2 MB hard fork within six months

If bitcoin transactions could be done faster and we pay less fees, than 1Mb block size and segwit will be enough, scale proposals always cause some drama and bitcoin split again? I don't want to count bitcoin cash, but only one bitcoin could has bigger support from people, business and companies such as today in everywhere acceptance.
818  Economy / Economics / Re: Investments outside crypto on: August 03, 2017, 02:09:00 PM
What are good investments outside of crypto?

It is very unfortunate what is happening in venezuela. I wish the united states would forget about north korea for a second and make some attempt to re-establish stability in south america.

As things stand there is nothing I could do to help venezuelans.

Looking at venezuela's currency devaluation there could be opportunities for profit there. Shorting the bolivar. Buying bolivar when its nearer to making a recovery could both yield decent gains if someone could get the timing right.

What are good opportunities for investment outside of crypto? Is it moral to profit off of the unfortunate conditions of people in venezuela and other countries? What do ppl think about this?

There are a lot of good investment outside of crypto, but I don't really get it about > US - Venezuela crisis - currency devaluation and opportunity to buy Bolivar?
Since we're on crypto forum here, and many people looking for opportunities to invest in crypto because the value of bitcoin keep increasing compare to fiat currency. So, it will make sense to invest on bitcoin instead of buy Bolivar, lucky to them who have invested on bitcoin since a long time ago, because they could convert into Bolivar and get more of it. We don't know yet, when Venezuela would rise up from this adversity, buy Bolivar could be so risky at this moment.
819  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e refunds money to the user on: August 03, 2017, 09:15:45 AM
I can't find any news about btc-e refunds money to their customers.
What is this? Better to point out a legit source about it.
As btc-e account in this forum already stated that will refund it on September.
f the service is not started before the end of August, Then from September 1 we will start the process of refund.

820  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a business partner for bitcoin mining on VENEZUELA on: August 03, 2017, 06:39:01 AM
I would like to ask you some questions,
1. How about your plans? To buy the hardware, shipment and everything.
2. How much do you need?
3. Collateral, there's no guarantee here I guess? How could people will trust to give you bitcoin or money?
Since there is a crucial economics problem in your country, it's just like double edge sword. I believe bitcoin will grow bigger in there, but this Government problem really a big deal. Where do you convert bitcoin into fiat currency? How much VEB per BTC1?
