Posted this in the Baikal Giant B thread, and thought I'd share my thoughts here since it's sort of related to x10.
I bet the 2 new algos for Baikal x10 are LBRY and PASCAL, or 2 of the blake algos (I could be wrong), but they aren't releasing the update yet probably to sell the Baikal Giant-B first. They know that the Baikal x10 has 7 algorithms specifically and none of them are x13, x14, or x15. Like how would you know only 5 algos but 2 are a mystery on your own product? Like c'mon, if it's really a mystery, then how do you even know it supports 7 algorithms?
Something didn't add up until the announcement of the Baikal Giant-B. They hide the 2 unannounced algos to further sell the Baikal Giant-B. They are thinking two steps forward.
But who knows, I could be all wrong...
If they are 2 of these algos, they would have to sell the B model with very low price, because X10 has good algos and add any of those from B and it's even better and this B model make no sense to buy. If X10 would have LBRY I would say it will destroy it, but like someone said LBRY might change algo, not sure if it's that easily doable, but it might save the project. |

This guide is awesome, but in the SGminer is confuse for me, I put URL, addres, etc. But when I click on start.bat is reinitiate in a loop.
Use XMR-STAK 2.1 it's most easy to use for newbies. Or Claymore but I don't like it. XMR Stak do to me a very low hasrate. -600 each card with 1250/2050 @ modded bios - RX 570 Aorus Hynix 4GB x5 Configure intensity, worksize and threads. I'm constantly receiving miner disconnection emails from nanopool with the XMR-Stak 2.0 miner, is anyone with this same issue?
I'm using sgminer with the graphics and no disconnection at all. I'm using xmr-stak for the CPU mining exclusively.
Use the 2.1 version better hashrate and more stable. Is it every 100 minutes? If so, it's because of dev fee, it connects to another pool. Stock fee is 2%, the Indeedminers version has 1%, it means 2 or 1 minute. |

No change in mining for RX cards, except it broke few things in some popular miners
I didn't see anything about Vega, although I didn't look too hard, as I don't own any

I am watching from the beginning to the exit of the exchange project and first half of the year will tell you the price of the coin is very disappointed, it is very much subsided. Lots of scam accusations, dunno what to think of this yet, LBRY can easily change their algo to knock out an ASIC, so not sure why a company would invest $$$ into developing one (especially for a young coin in LBRY or even PASC) Can algo be really that easily changed? |

Using the indeed pool. How can I see mining stats? IS there a pool address or link on pool pages on Monero.org?
That's not a pool for you buddy Switch to another you mine to my wallet. Delete the config.txt and run XMR-STAK.exe it will guide you. Then you can tune also tune the cards like the guide says. |

You have to configure the Claymore, refer to his thread.
I would suggest you to use SGminer or XMR-STAK, the newest XMR-STAK 2.1 is pretty noob proof for AMD cards, links in the first post.
I did base it upon the configuration in the post. I can try one of those two, if that is better. Here is just very basic config... you have to read readme and Claymore thread to get the best of it. |

Hash rate between 700 H/sec and 1.4k. I've gotten a total of 313.01. In the last 24 hours 8.86 ETN. Seems pretty minuscule for a 6-GPU Rig + CPU mining on other machines. What kind of a 6-gpu rig produces only 700-1400 H/s? That doesn't sound right. I'm not saying that sounds right... I agree, it does not. I'm only reading what I see at Hashparty.io after looking at their stats for me. When I look at the GPU Rig itself, I see: XMR: GPU0 381 H/s, GPU1 384 H/s, GPU2 385 H/s, GPU3 381 H/s, GPU4 376 H/s, GPU5 385 H/s So - that would be more like 2,292 H/s It's not like that for Ethereum, it is WAY higher. This is just how it runs against XMR, I'm guessing. For Ethereum each one is nearing 600 as I recall. It is a 6-Rig, RX580 You have to configure the Claymore, refer to his thread. I would suggest you to use SGminer or XMR-STAK, the newest XMR-STAK 2.1 is pretty noob proof for AMD cards, links in the first post. |

What about the newer RX580 with dual memory? I have 2 of these with Samsung and Hynix(secondary). Currently mining at around 860-870 (after a great number of tests with different mem timings, OC/DC and miners) with 1200/2200.
There's no such thing as "newer RX580 with dual memory".  Each card only comes with memory chips of a single particular brand. For the most 580/8 these days it's either Hynix or Samsung (heard of cards with Micron, but never saw them myself). The manufacturers are just too lazy to bother with writing separate BIOSes for each memory type, so they make one BIOS with straps for 2 or more memory types in it. If the card has Hynix chips installed, it'll use the straps from the Hynix table, if it has Samsung chips — then it'll use the straps from the Samsung table etc. So when you edit your BIOS, you just edit the straps corresponding to the memory type installed on your particular card. Judging by your clocks and hashrates, you've got Hynix chips on your card. Cheers, didn't know about the memory and the dual BIOS straps laziness. Anyway, the memory is Samsung and I was modifying only the first set of straps. The cards are Sapphire Pulse if this matters. I was thinking if the memory is just one brand, shall I make both straps exactly the same for all frequencies... |

It's called "TESTING" them. Also, myriad-groestl was huge profit in calculation before x10 came out to actual people. So consider today's current myriad-groestl profit/price be an example of what Lbry profit will be once they are done "TESTING" them.
I've mined LBRY half year ago and still have some, so I'm not sure if I should sell it or wait. I also wonder what will happen with the project :/ |
