8061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: August 02, 2017, 04:22:04 PM
Why do you want Bitcoin dying? There are several altcoins based on Bitcoin and Bitcoin is still here. There are several GNU/Linux based on Debian and Debian is still here rocking solid. And we are currently in a period quite volatile, I watched BCC it's just horrible lol. In the following weeks Bitcoin will show its true power and everyone will recognize it as the super power Grin
8062  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Interest Check] - Most popular exchange on: August 02, 2017, 02:59:22 PM
I vote for Kraken (when it works properly Roll Eyes) The reason is that I usually like simple things straight to the point, without any fancy stuff added to disturb me. If you compare with Bittrex half of your screen is filled with ugly graph, I feel me closed in a box and facing problem to breath
8063  Economy / Exchanges / Re: KRAKEN Problems - Orders not being completed, positions not closing on: August 02, 2017, 02:48:37 PM
Same as you, personally today I am just tired to use this website. I am hardly able to finish what I wanted to do, without facing an issue on the site. I am not going to get my nerve on the site, once I finish I log out and I am done for today. I don't have much patience

8065  Other / Meta / Re: Note to admins, BCC is an alt, why threads about it are in the main forum? on: August 02, 2017, 09:19:03 AM
I agree and so I am also one of the people who will prefer to see all those threads about Bitcoin Cash moved to the Altcoin section where it shall be. Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash are both differents.
Quote
Bcash is an altcoin based on Bitcoin; since it split, it is now 100% independent from Bitcoin other than the carried-over balances.
We need justice!
Otherwise, we can make different threads about others altcoins in this section as well. I am sure that it can confuse the newbies who recenly started to take interest in Bitcoin and are reading the forum

8066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Aug 1 summary on: August 01, 2017, 08:39:25 PM
Thanks for this news. I am so happy, today should be considered like a national day. I am super excited.
If someone can tells: when the OP says that there is still a chance that this split could still happen between now and Aug 10. What do you think can be the percentage to see it happen: 10-20-30% chance ?
8067  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which is the best bitcoin virtual debit card? on: July 31, 2017, 06:22:22 PM
I used the virtual card from Advcash during some time. The cost was just $1 it should be the same right now. I use it many times while shopping online and it worked well each time. I couldn't continue to use it as once you reach the $500 limit you need a verification ID which I couldn't provide to them. All those cards are near the same as it is issued by the same company. About the same limits, fees, etc. You're just using a middleman.

MySeriousFaceIsOn: Any idea on when identifying street signs and South American shopfronts will be a thing of the past?

Are you talking about Recaptcha? It's so annoying and very irritating. "Click on the cars" There is not a single car "Click on the street signs" nope you failed, try again "Click the cars" you click all the cars but yet you fail, try again... You sometimes need to pass 4-5 captchas just to be able to log in the website. Maybe they should consider turning the login page in a faucet.  If @MySeriousFaceIsOn can get out of the bed again to take the time t remove it or changing to Solve Media or another</joking>
8069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buying shitcoins dirt cheap and selling when they go up. Risky or no? on: July 31, 2017, 04:16:45 PM
A shitcoin generally stays a shitcoin forever. You can buy some and sell them later once the price is raised but as it's not guaranteed you are still taking a risk, surely bigger than the Notshitcoins. I am not good at trading but I think those shitcoins worth when you are part of a pump an dump group
8070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cashing out into traditional banking system on: July 31, 2017, 11:32:32 AM
What about simply paying the taxs then? It's for your own country (considering it is used wisely). It doesn't hurt to be in a legal situation. I never understand people trying to avoid paying their taxs . If your friend is really worried he can simply transfer small amount only. For exemple in my country up to 5000€ you stay under the radar. If he is till afraid he can use a bitcoin debit card.
8071  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which VPS Providers accept btc and are reliable? on: July 31, 2017, 11:17:37 AM
I can recommend you Vultr. I find this provider better than DigitalOcean and cheaper. You can google Vultr Vs Digital Ocean to compare. There are over 15 locations to chose from and they have a more powerful infrastructure.  It is accepting Bitcoin since 2-3 years now. If you search the web you will may find a coupon discount as they often have during the year.
8072  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: July 30, 2017, 06:05:23 PM
Ok then my mistake sorry. I thought you were talking about the BTC wallet, as you replied to the poster above, who was talking about BTC, but you had not mentioned about ORB wallet. Hope for you it will get resolved as soon as possible :/
8073  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long are BTC transactions taking? on: July 30, 2017, 05:20:20 PM
Yeah same here. Waiting for 7 hours and still 0 confirmation. I wanted to empty my wallet today before the August and didn't want to do it at the last moment on July 31. I hope to get it fast. I am watching some porn here and there but I am bored. I wanted to buy those fucking shoes today to get a discount, it sucks
8074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash pirce? (POLL) on: July 30, 2017, 04:58:46 PM
You forgot to add negatives values in your poll. Because yes it will be like the negatives interest rates in the bank. You won't need to spend money to own Bitcoin Cash, but they will need to pay you instead. Get paid just to own Bitcoin cash.
Let see how far people will pump it and then how fast it will crash and make it an useless coin
8075  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it ok to buy bitcoins on ebay? on: July 30, 2017, 01:07:25 PM
I will never buy Bitcoin on Ebay. So crazy. And as Paypal doesn't allow dealing with cryptocurrencie and money exchanges you are just asking for trouble. Seriously there are litterally thousand of places to purchase Bitcoin, why going to Ebay
8076  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Withdrawing from Coinbase to UK bank account? on: July 30, 2017, 12:05:21 PM
Still no contact from support and it's been a week now. Is this normal for them or do they not actually handle some support tickets at all? Does anyone know if they have an official thread or account here as that might be easier.

The last time I sent them a support ticket, it took them 6 days to respond. Then the support rep completely ignored my issues and sent me some boilerplate responses. This was about a month ago. Granted, there is still likely a large influx of new users right now, but this level of support is really quite disappointing given that they are highly regulated and generally held in such high regard.

Hmm. Thanks for the response. I don't understand why sites like this don't just hire more support operatives instead of giving themselves a bad name. I think I might just start selling my coins for cash because there's always problems with exchanges and rip off fees etc.
Even hiring people take time, and once hired it needs another time for training them. Why don't you want to use kraken? Coinbase sucks when it's time to deposits/withdraw money from it. Sell this afternoon on Kraken, request a bank transfer, and tomorrow you will have your bank account credited. Good to start the day Grin

Edit: sorry Kraken doesn't have GBP (blame brexit Grin)
8077  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: July 30, 2017, 11:48:12 AM
Their card services are the most expensive I have seen. Why is that? Wouldn't a bank grade service be able to offer something more competitive?

It is already competitive. The life cost in Switzerland is really high. And when it's about offshore banking you really need to spend the money to get access in. For example, if you check cimbanque, it is required to deposit a minimum 5000$. This amount is normal and usual. This type of bank is not for the average Joe making 1200$ monthly by working in a manufactory
8078  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: July 30, 2017, 10:56:46 AM
Hi guys.
The wallet is working fine, right now I am using it without any problem, just to let you know. They may have finished working on it since your posts and mine.
6 days is nothing, I've been waiting for 2 weeks or more already Huh

2 weeks for what? It's not true, I use Cryptopia two or three times a week.. And you could contact the support because they are quite efficient to deal with customers support
8079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase vs. Kraken (BTC vs. BCH) on: July 30, 2017, 10:38:40 AM
Most of the people are not interested in BCH. And me too!. The few people interested are in a majority the miners, but if the mass is not interested it will be just a pump and dump. The other group interested are the one planning to speculate before it dies and the one happy because they will receive some free BCH lol
