Hello ,
Im actually mining with at 27kh/s on nanopool but it's seems that I get incorrect earning , Im supposed to earn between 2500 ETN /DAY using current difficulty and 1800 ETN /DAY using 24h difficulty average. But Im around 1200 PER /DAY. Im sure its not about luck because nanopool ETN got 70Mh/90Mh of the network hashrate. Is it a scam or a bug ? How can I solo mine electroneum ?
You have to run your own ETN Cryptonote pool.

Just hope electroneum will consider better and faster exchange other than this annoying cryptopia, what even brought the thought of that snail and constant freezing exchange to their minds, the thought cryptopia just make me not want to buy etn, etherdelta is even better.
They accept almost all coins and tokens, you just have to pay for it. Other big exchanges probably don't even think about ETN...

Is it safe to use the "my.electroneum.com" online wallet as a mining wallet? Will the coins make it there?
IDK, CLI is anyway better.

Jeeez 1 day 31 mins from now I'll be in a cinema watching midnight showing of Last Jedi.

The timing could not be worse.
The ETN launch is midday, not midnight.  Smiley

Did you mind asking him his time zone?

It seems this pool has wonderful level of support - all my tickets hang for two months with no response. Other pools answer my questions much, much faster.

Sorry for the inconvenience, what's the number of your request?

The most recent is "Ticket N55965".

Unfortunately, due to high volume of requests it may take our support up to a week to reply. I forward your ticket number directly to our technical team. Please kindly wait for them to answer  Smiley

Don't worry, this ticket was created on September 26 and still no response, so I don't care anymore...
That's a while Cheesy Mine only took a month, but the answer was do you still have the issue, I didn't want to wait another month for response so...

Finally a good news

Does that mean we can start to mine from mobile from 13th? I'm new to this thread and was excited about the mobile mining concept of electroneum.

I think that mobile mining is just a game  Roll Eyes

'Just' a game that pays real coins. I've told a lot of my friends who are newly interested in crypto and all of them are excited about this. Guess what? Not one of them gives a single shit if they are securing a blockchain; in fact most of them don't know what a blockchain is. All they know is that they play a game on their phone and they get real coins of some value in return. To them this is mining and I'm convinced it's going to get a ton of new people on board.
Yeah destroy your battery for few coins -_- I wonder what it will actually do.

Lets all share our power and make a JustGrLovesSumo address  Grin
It would took forever, maybe with Quantum PC Cheesy 5 characters is already took like 10 hours and still counting Cheesy I thought it would be few minutes with that Xeon power, but it's not Cheesy

Our community has build a very nice vanity address generator that can produce up to 4 preselected digits at an average desktop PC in a matter of minutes.
(5 and above needs time and lots of cpu power)

Download the binaries from here
https://www.dropbox.com/s/s9xhgmcz9q2nevw/vanity-64?dl=0

Use:
./vanity (vanityword)

eg ./vanity CASH will create an address like Sumoo0CASH4cthR4.....
./vanity RICH will give something like Sumoo3RICH2dfe5.....

Along with the address all keys will be produced in order to restore into a functional wallet. No seed words option yet.

Note that the code is still in BETA and has not be thoroughly tested so perform a couple of very small transactions to your newly generated address before deciding to use it in full.

Source code will be available on git (https://github.com/pwhelan) within the day

All credit goes to Phillip Whelan (Mad Jester)
I run this on my VPS with 3x 3.8GHz Xeon, 4 characters is fast, 5 is already running like 4 hours Cheesy
But now I have some SUMO KiCK address Cheesy

Hey Guys!

I'm back in the mining biz. Have been Hodling my bitcoin and now I have got the itch to start mining again.
Looks like monero will be my target.

I am at that stage where i'm trying to learn as much as I can as fast as I can and my head is spinning. I am hoping someone could help direct my focus.

located in Canada
cost per KWH: aprrox 6.5 cents per kw hour (US)
Goal: build a GPU mining rig

I have ordered a couple of Nvidia GTX 1060's 4GB just to stick in a couple of computers i have lying around, just to play around with different configs. My expectation for this card is to get about 525 H/S for about 50w once optimized.

Before I go out an buy 6 or 8 cards for a rig i wanted to get familiar and find the best card in terms of speed and energy efficiency and purchase price.

Now that i have already ordered the 1060's I stumbled upon some RX580's , cost a bit more to buy, more to run, but seem to put out more hashes. Once configured and maybe bios modded, what do you think the RX580 will do? 890 MH/s at 95 watts?

Seeing as my hydro costs are fairly low, perhaps I should be looking at AMD?

one more question, resale value? Should i be concerned? What about moded firmaware, can that be restored to stock before i sell the AMD? I have heard the Nvidia do better on resale? True? or nothing really to worry about?

The PSU I ordered is  EVGA SuperNOVA 850 https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438092

If AMD is the way to go,I can always return the Nvidias 1060's i have coming or stick them in some other pcs I have lying around.

So ideally, what would you suggest for the rig? 6 AMD rx580s'  or like 8 Nvidia 1060's . What would be the best way to max out that power supply? Any good motherboard suggestions would be appreciated!

RX 570 are probably better, the hashrate is almost same and they are way cheaper at least in EU. Still it depends on memory you will have and silicon lottery... 1060 is not very good for XMR and I'm not sure about those 50W and 500+H/s.

I tried http://electroneum.vip for a few hours today, this pool has incredible luck, the payout is amazing, and very stable, they had a DDOS attack yesterday it seems and it was only down for like 2 hours, other pools were destroyed by DDOS.
Yeah, seems good.

So about a week ago, I downloaded the modified xmr-stak.
The config has the default pool set to "xmr.crypto-pool.fr:3333" and I saw no reason to change it.
I couldn't sleep early this morning and out of curiosity, I decided to look them up and the first result was actually this crypto malware report.
I panicked thinking I was compromised but after reading it more, from what I can gather, the malware is using members of the pool to mine crypto?
As in, the pool itself isn't necessarily responsible, it's just that the pool, or members within the pool, is/are infected in some way?
Am I getting that right?
My computer seems to be running normally and I don't see any odd background processes, but I figured I'd rather bring this up than not, being that I came here for the download link.

All mining SW is detected as virus...

I get TLS Secure algo error when running XMR-AEON-STAK 2.1 can anyone post a sample of the config file needed?
You don't need to use TLS. Mine without it.

http://www.electroneum.space/ again down for me, classic!
The GPUS were still sending shares but their backend is not responding and I also didn't receive any coins to my wallet for roughly 400 blocks which is way too much.
Switched back to electromine.fr now.
The returns are really nice but the pool issues are a pain in the neck Roll Eyes

yes I got for 5 hours only rejected shares without a reason around 12h ago. I also had to switch. But more than 12 hours down is also a no go for me, too unprofessional.
You should use XMR-STAK 2.0 with multiple pool list...

Can you tell me what to type in to get SMOS to mine Electroneum?  I dont care about the pool just want to mine it asap!!!!
What you mean by type? Like build XMR-STAK? Clone github and build it, there is doc for it.
