8241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Survival of the fittest on: January 27, 2018, 11:15:27 AM
This is also my feeling about the crypto market for alts. In 2017, everyone almost, who bought any alts, will see a lot of profit now. And this will drive even more new money into alts this year, we can see there is no loss of people investing into new ICOs. What is it now, 5 tokens and ICOs launched every day? Probably more. So this will cause 2018 to also be the same, but then by 2019, the cracks will start to appear. The market will be exhausted from thousands of tokens with no value other than speculation and trading. Then people get tired of projects that do not deliver. And then 2020, these failures will cause massive sell offs with only people wanting to hold the big, proven coins. Then we will see even ICOs start to fail.
8242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RaiBlocks (XRB) is going to be a top 10 coin on: January 27, 2018, 10:55:58 AM
Raiblocks is suffering from Kucoin curse. Almost all coins at Kucoin is decreasing for some reason. Raiblocks price was pumped so much in the beginning of this year and for those who bought there having problem now, but I believe it will increase when it hit on Binance. Raiblocks technology is interesting and every positive news about it will make price increased.

Yes, this was a coin that pumped too high, everyone who bought it was really into FOMO mode, especially because it was probably already a known coin (I remember so many threads asking people to help mine it months ago) and when it moved up over $10 people got so crazy. It is declining now but like you said, so are all the other coins on Kucoin. The tech is actually very good. Not unique, except for that the mining was unique. But very useful. I just wonder if it is only held by a few people. A lot of miners sold it for cheap early on. And not to mention the faucet owners who got a lot out of it.
8243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether: not even a scam on: January 26, 2018, 05:15:28 PM
Just want to share this in case someone missed it:

http://www.tetherreport.com/

It argues that Tether printing is what is driving the BTC market through fake demand. Seems pretty sound to me.

Please debate, I want it to be wrong.

There is a LOT of evidence being gathered (sadly only by individuals, though to me they are more of experts and reliable analysts than the ones people usually see as more reputable) to show that a lot of ways exist that look suspiciously like manipulation, with Tether right in the center of these claims.

Of course, the printing itself of Tether does not necessarily mean this is the only thing driving prices but when you have exchanges behind Tether, you must be able to be skeptical of how it is used as a tool to move prices easily.
8244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If the BTC crash, will it take every other coin with it? on: January 26, 2018, 11:58:20 AM
You bet if Bitcoin goes down, 99% of alts will go down with it. Mainly because anyway they train mainly in Bitcoin pairs. Plus the world still knows crypto only as Bitcoin, and sees all alts as copies or immature technology or tokens, thanks to ICOs.

Of course, there are periods where Bitcoin drops while alts rise, this is when majority of people are buying alts with Bitcoin (this is why sometimes to go long on alts is to go short on BTC, and vice versa).
8245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your plan? on: January 26, 2018, 09:00:16 AM
Looks like everyone doesn't really have a plan then, judging from the responses here. Planning requires planning,,, and that is not coming up with ideas over coffee, that is sitting down, setting objectives for yourself and your dependents, setting time frames, knowing your budget and making realistic expectations. Crypto is making everybody so unrealistic. You go to a decent financial advisor or investment expert and realistic is talking about years, and talking about single number percentage of appreciation. Crypto is talking x2 in 2 months, x50 in one year.
8246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who's next to go to the Moon? on: January 26, 2018, 06:24:17 AM
As i heard about Dogecoin could be next to moon soon so it is good time to buy dogecoin to make some good profit . Buy and Keep Hold

Happy Trading
Thanks
Regrads

I actually really like Dogecoin and all it stands for, so it should make me happy to see that some other people also have faith in this much neglected coin. But then, it is not really good to see people say it in simple terms like "I heard it goes to the moon so buy to make profit". Keep on speculating and keep on using Dogecoin as a quick profit turner and you might regret it one day. This coin still has a future, the community thinks so and the developers think so,,, even if they are so SO slow in getting their work done!
8247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who's next to go to the Moon? on: January 25, 2018, 07:36:11 PM
Reading a few of these posts but I cannot be convinced strongly enough. When I look at the past few coins I know that totally mooned, the most recent in my mind is raiblocks. And there was simply no way to know this ahead. Every post I tried to research about it did not seem to show very different types from all the other alt promotions and shilling. Which leads me to think that all of this is really just random, and luck. Or does someone know better and can show me something to change my mind?
8248  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinRush.io - Bitcoin Sportsbook, and Casino (Lower Minimum Wager Amounts) on: January 25, 2018, 04:32:38 PM
Just wanted to update that found no more issues with the site's betting. BlackJack and HiLo only though, I did not try the other games yet. Do you also have plans to include a dice game? That is really fun for crypto! Also, tried the sportsbook and made two bets on Australian Open. One win, one loss, so I pushed on the total.

One question about VIP like SysGambler is asking,,, how to check where we reached new levels? I have gambled a few times now but if I click VIP no statistics for wagering show.
8249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Amazon were to announce Bitcoin support on Feb 2nd.... on: January 25, 2018, 12:10:30 PM
If Amazon were to announce Bitcoin support on Feb 2nd which currencies would you think would be best to be holding?

it is hypothetical but isn't the answer obvious already?

the answer is bitcoin! think about it and look at some price history. each time bitcoin has a big rally, altcoins mostly drop. some of them drop even harder than others.
even if any of them rose, their rises wouldn't be as big which means having your money elsewhere is loss-of-opportunity.

Actually I am beginning to doubt that these types of merchants will have any real effect on Bitcoin. Anyone who buys things online will have heard about Bitcoin by now. Anyone who is using Amazon would probably not switch to Bitcoin. But yes, people who have been waiting for Amazon to reach their countries might now be able to start accessing it, but at the same time, this will not push adoption. Because these will be people who already use Bitcoin. What will make a person start using Bitcoin? Not the things Amazon does I am sure.
8250  Economy / Economics / Re: Moment for buying or selling? on: January 25, 2018, 06:09:23 AM
Can be said today and yesterday is the best moment to buy bitcoin, if we had not had time to buy bitcoin then the time is very appropriate because now we can buy bitcoin at a price of about $ 13700.

This really reminds me about this Buddhist saying that goes something like this,,, "Ten years ago was the best time to plant a tree, but today is the second best time". Of course, this is not the mentality for most of crypto people, who are built of a speculator psychology, where a month might seem like such a long time, and a year is far too long to wait. But for holders, it is something that makes sense, especially if you saw Bitcoin's YOY growth. Keep buying Bitcoin, keep planting trees. Bitcoin will surely return to 20k. And then we will always look back at these times.
8251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC to $100, when? on: January 24, 2018, 05:51:13 PM
The upcoming hardfork / airdrop on march 5th will boost the price of ETC the upcoming weeks  Grin Time to board the train. Cool

Wait there is an airdrop / hardfork? I have been neglecting to look at ETC for so long I only have now realized that it is at $25! This project really looks like another one I should have paid attention to, but I do wonder if people will always look at it like the abandoned original child of Vitalik Buterin. Looks tempting but I will admit I have much to learn and catch up with the prospects of Ethereum Classic. You just never know, with the right mix of capable development and stability,,, I do find it strange I hear so little about it.
8252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: With which coin would you like to wager in a casino? on: January 24, 2018, 03:44:03 PM
My three picks are also have two of the most voted picks! Dogecoin is very popular amongst small gamblers like myself. Maybe for us it was our first coin, maybe we liked getting tipped with Doge, maybe we also like giving it away. And it is fun, just like the people who use it. Bitcoin must always be available, if you have crypto you have Bitcoin. And my third Litecoin - this is for easy withdrawal in times of high fees, but also it is a good amount of coin to gamble easily. It is something like $200 now, which means you can still bet 1 million litoshi and it is $2, and withdrawing it is no problem.
8253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what to buy during this dip? on: January 24, 2018, 03:24:44 PM
If you want quick profits, then you should just look at the Top 20, I do not like Ripple (XRP) at all,,, but I bought some at $1,20,,, you should easily see it return to $1.50 and book 20% profits easy, or hold a few months for it to reach back to $2, and book >50% profits.

But for holding, I like these dips. Always add to my Waves, Stratis like you suggest is good, and I always do not mind Litecoin. Everything else is basically "Safe" if they already have a good reputation.
8254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is it stupid to buy alts with bitcoin now ?? on: January 24, 2018, 01:58:18 PM
At a time when Bitcoin's rates have fallen sharply, Altcoins will also suffer. You should invest in Bitcoin and Altcoins at that time because the price of the cryptos will increase rapidly over the next few weeks. The coins you should spend in are BTC, ETH, USDT because they are the most stable coins and will quickly rise when the market recovers.

I think that is always the general idea, but I think people are looking always to buy alts during Bitcoin dips - yes Bitcoin falls, but alts fall harder. So when Bitcoin rises back, alts do seem in general to also rise, and usually along with a Bitcoin gain, in addition to fiat. USDT is supposed to be stable by nature, but even with its supposed US dollar peg, it has fallen in value, so you only invest in Tether if you want to buy back Bitcoin at the dips, without putting in extra fiat. Good strategy, but I hardly sell Bitcoin and I definitely do not trust Tether!
8255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are we a global village that needs a global currency? on: January 24, 2018, 11:42:09 AM
We do not need a global currency, but that would be very useful. But we are not at that stage yet. The problem is we are all living in our little bubble where we think we know how things work. But the reality is that currency does not work the same way in every part of the world. In fact, in some parts, people do not use currency, and it other parts people only trade value. This is not to say the idea is not a good one, a good global currency is one that frees people not restricts them. So it should give options, not force them to use it.
8256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is King and Ethereum is Queen , Do you agree ? on: January 23, 2018, 01:45:28 PM
Bitcoin is King, everyone agrees, even if they do not want to admit! Even Bitcoin Cash people will admit this,,, how do statistics lie? And if you think the King is dead or dying, then you better wait for SegWit and Lightning Network to kick in. They are here already, but wait til we are all using it. People will forget mempool was ever so crowded.

Ethereum is not Queen, just King of alts. Everyone who knows me knows I do not like ETH's centralization. But okay I will say well done to them now. They got themselves as the most popular platform to launch tokens on. But look at Waves and Stratis quietly creeping up.
8257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your plan? on: January 23, 2018, 12:36:44 PM
I am not such a young person that I will make grand plans. When I first entered into cryptocurrency through Bitcoin last year, I knew I was not too late, but I also knew I was not one of the early few. So I do not have dreams of x100 or even x1000 of my investments. If it happens I will be extremely glad, but if it does not, it will be something I expected.

This is all a learning experience for me, so that is my fixed plan. I cannot afford to risk everything, but I am happy to risk a bit of time and money each month. If all goes well, that will be my luck.
8258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do big investors cash out? on: January 23, 2018, 09:32:38 AM
The largest exchanges can do a lot of transactions and withdrawals for fully verified accounts. I can also see that a lot of traders are now taking to decentralized p2p platforms to do business, like bisq where there is no potential limit. But when you have 5 accounts at 5 different exchanges with 250k limits a month, that's already millions a month. So no worry, there is always a way. And if that way closes, 2 new ways open up. So much for trying to crush crypto, right?
8259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: People, why are you so scared? on: January 22, 2018, 03:56:07 PM
Did you honestly believe that even 50% of the people in crypto trading believe in cryptocurrency? I am so certain that not even 10% of coin holders in alts even understand the projects they represent, know the development team, and know what is in the roadmap for the next few months, no need to ask about the next few years.

I can say that almost every poster here is talking about price, about market cap, about hype and announcements. No one is amazed by small advances of technology.
8260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How big can the whole market grow? on: January 22, 2018, 12:41:34 PM
Yeah, being realistic I wouldn't think anymore than 1 or 2 trillion. But in this market anything can happen
Anything is possible in the market as we know volatility is always happen. We can expect of a sudden huge of prices or we can expect of going down. Then, in this whole market a big chance to grow ofcourse but we cannot say for now how much it will going high if more than 1 trillion.

Realistic is a definition that cannot properly exist in a market that is still so new, still finding its way, and still unable to tell if it will be around next year, or even next week. We still do not know what the limits are, either top or bottom.

So far, anything is possible. It can be zero as easily as it can be 100 trillion. But maybe those marks are too far into the future. For the next coming years, I would say hundreds of billions is almost certain. 1 Trillion? Maybe only after US govt and China let down on Bitcoin.
