even if that were true, it would breach 'candoo's privacy without proof that you are in fact candoo.

do you not have access to your candoo forum account?

in any case, what i said earlier still stands true: people should be careful who they buy accounts from and accept screenshots from.
Perhaps you should just put your foot down and not honor the so-called purchases which you cannot verify in the first place.

Whoever is on record with the account, is who they coin will go to, no exceptions. Otherwise? You're going to be in for a real hassle, especially if you end up being wrong and honor a 'purchase' that turned out to be false.

After all, you weren't a party of the so-called 'purchase' of the account, you are not bound by it.

good thought... basically i'm willing to trust Patrick Harnett when he says "I purchased xxxyyy account". But other than him, much verification would need to occur first and might indeed end up being too much work.

842  Economy / Lending / Re: [Sold] Buy my 229 btc + 17 btc Bitcoin Max account for 220 bitcoins. on: August 19, 2012, 02:38:09 AM
My account is around 950btc with 65 incoming as interest.   Accepting offers Wink

please note also that the "next interest payment" is only an estimate, and will be slightly lower if the account is paid out before the 21:00 mark.
843  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Closing down on: August 19, 2012, 02:09:41 AM
Oh that is how it is..  105, how do you like them apples?
105.25 and a bunch of grapes!

there is NO bitcoinmax account under the username 'yup'. be very careful who you buy 'accounts' from and who you accept screenshots from. I recommend brokering a deal with Patrick Harnett if you're really interested in taking that kind of punt.

the username is "candoo". please check it and tell everybody that i own 300 BTC + 19 . I just bought that account from my friend

even if that were true, it would breach 'candoo's privacy without proof that you are in fact candoo.

846  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Closing down on: August 18, 2012, 02:40:56 AM
update 2012-08-18:
since pirate's BST is closing, bitcoin max will also be closing
all accounts will have their deposits returned starting next week, as the coins come in from pirate.

thanks again to everyone for the fun so far.

will that include this weeks interest?

if i get paid interest from BST (as stated by pirate), yes it will.

I still have the pm where I was offered 100BTC for a referral that I turned down.

ha, i should have kept my copy from when i did the same thing... i wonder if it was from the same person.
848  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 4.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: August 17, 2012, 07:37:07 AM

(i had to switch wallets)

PM me with details, and be sure not to lose control of your *current* withdrawal address.
849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin clock on: August 17, 2012, 05:15:16 AM
edit: just for the sake of documenting it here, it is currently estimating 2012-12-05 11:30:22

wow! the eta has crept forward more than 24 hours in just over a week.

if these trends continue, the drop will actually happen in late november, not early december as was most-widely predicted.
850  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 4.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: August 16, 2012, 11:44:54 PM
please also note that there is likely to be some extra delays in the withdrawal queue as everyone readjusts to the new rates.

thanks.

Queue hasn't budged in hours.

24 hours? i've put in a withdrawal request to get them cleared.

852  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: August 16, 2012, 09:17:02 PM
ATTENTION!

so, it looks like i may have been too hasty in setting rates, and will be going to 4.9% after all.

however, since i've already mentioned 5.1%, i will be honouring that for next week.

the rates will be as follows:

now until 2012-08-20 21:00 6.9%
2012-08-20 21:00 to 2012-08-27 21:00 5.1%
2012-08-27 21:00 onwards 4.9%

thank you.
853  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: August 16, 2012, 02:02:05 AM
Unfortunately, there is no way to do that, yet.  I was just posting a week ago about how I wanted Armory to maintain its own blockchain files, and if I did that Armory would be able to connect to any trusted full node.  At the expense of having the blockchain data duplicated by Armory.

So this is not currently possible, but I see it as a huge benefit to carrying through with this idea (and a drawback, a lot of users don't want the blockchain data duplicated in the case that Armory is connected to localhost).

Why do you talk about blockchain data duplication?
I would use Armory exclusively if I could.
Between new wallet format not supported to import and the fact that I need bitcoind/bitcoin-qt running to use Armory I just use Bitcoin-qt.

yeah, i have about 4 different installs of bitcoin... and 4 full copies of the blockchain... who cares? my 2tb of disk space can handle it like it's 1999.

i don't see armory having it's own copy as a problem at all.

i would also prefer if armory could drop it's dependance on bitcoin-qt.

Interesting.... Higher than the highest published rate.

hi, that rate is not necessarily permanent. it is however the rate that will be paid starting 20th and may need to be revised down again for future weeks.

i'll always try to give as much notice as i can when the rates change.

Just to clarify this, are we already in the first 5.1% week, or still in the last 7% week?

you are still getting paid 6.9% right now... until next monday. this is why i haven't updated my signature / banner graphic / thread title yet.

after that, the rate will drop to 5.1%

after that week, not 100% sure yet.
855  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: August 16, 2012, 12:24:15 AM
starting from next monday 2012-08-20 21:00, the new rate will be:

5.1%

thanks everyone, for sticking with bitcoin max.

Don't forget to update your signature Smiley

sure Cheesy i'll update my sig and banner graphic.

NEW RATE

unfortunately the time has come for pirate to start reducing his rates, and bitcoin max is not immune from this.

starting from next monday 2012-08-20 21:00, the new rate will be:

5.1%

thanks everyone, for sticking with bitcoin max.

*edited. please see rate schedule in the OP.

hi everyone, i'm not one of those that live on IRC (even though i probably should), so i haven't had a chance to confirm yet.

i'll try and give as much notice as i can though if there has to be a change.
859  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: August 14, 2012, 10:51:55 AM
thanks for info about deposits..

waiting for informations which you will get from blockchain support...  Wink

this appears to be resolved.

it was a case of hitting some api limit, but everything should go through fine now... thanks piuk Cheesy
860  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: August 14, 2012, 06:46:06 AM
^^ UPDATE:

blockchain.info's API is returning an empty response when being accessed via curl from my site.

http://blockchain.info/address/1exampleexampleexample?format=json works fine for me in the browser, but no response lately when using CURL from bitcoinmax.

so i'll contact piuk (blockchain.info) about it... perhaps the IP was blocked or something for polling too much? (that's just a guess until i hear back from him).

what this all means is that your deposits won't show up in bitcoinmax at the moment. but anything you send will still be recorded in the block chain, and i'll make sure they get added (manually if i have to) before next week's payout.

thanks dave and everyone else for letting me know.
