841  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation overpowers the value of money on: August 04, 2023, 04:13:36 PM
FINANCE TIP:  Never keep your cash savings at a regular type bank accounts such as Chase/Wells Fargo/etc. Make sure you use online banks (or some credit unions) which offer much higher interest rates.  Bannkrate.com does a good job of showing who's currently got the best rates.  Just for example Chase banks and Bank of America (the worlds two largest banks)savings accounts have an annual interest rate of .01%.  Ally Bank has an annual interest rate of 4%.  One is keeping up with inflation and one isn't even close..ie you're losing money in it!  INSANITY
I agree, there are online/digital banks that are offering better rates for an annual rate if you ever choose them to deposit your money. And the catch is that you're also free to withdraw it anytime at your own will.

Before, I was a fan of time deposits but I've learned it all along that it's good to get into it if the rate defeats the inflation rate that your country is experiencing. Otherwise, it's much better not to keep it there and find a better asset or investment that will earn more than the inflation rate so that you'll retain your wealth and its value.
842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: August 04, 2023, 02:41:26 PM
Basically, you're just saying that there are just two way around when a gambler borrows money and that's true.

And it's normal to think on how much you're going to repay because you've taken a loan. That's pretty much the typical thing to think of because you're obliged to do it.

But at the end of it, you'll get to see how it will impact you as a gambler because it's not a good way to start anything related to gambling if you  will use borrowed money.

That's for sure. The fact that you borrow money to gamble already makes you irresponsible. Maybe some people consider taking the journey, and they would borrow money to raise a decent bankroll. However, the moment they lose the money, most of the borrowers will have bigger problems. It's impossible to repay the loan when there are no funds coming from gambling.

So if you promise a lender that you'll be able to pay because you will win in gambling, that's not realistic, as most of the time, we experience losses in gambling.

Just think of this: When a person borrows money for personal wants or needs, that's called bad debt. But when a person borrows money to start a business that will generate income, that's considered a good debt.
Raising a bankroll with a loaned money is a terrible idea. Coming from being irresponsible by borrowing money to gamble up to that point of using loaned money whether to add or to start with as you gamble.

It could also be a common reasoning for a gambler that he'll pay the debt because he's expecting that he's going to win. Possible but not really a good promise to say upon paying debt.

You shouldn't be relying on that matter for you to pay the loan that you've taken. It should be from a guaranteed source of income just as how the banks are sure of who they're approving. Thus, never do this, never borrow money to gamble.
843  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is politics everyone's business? on: August 03, 2023, 04:02:03 PM
Politics can be everyone's business when everyone is interested in politics but not everyone is suitable to become involved in political discourse if they are mentally unstable.
This is true. Many wants to become a politician because they think that money is all over it but not everyone fits to be one. And the sad truth is that there have been cases of politicians that don't have control to themselves. They're using their power inappropriately.

In general willfully stupid and stupid ignorant people should have the right to take an interest in politics but intelligent citizens should not have to tolerate their leadership if they ever are placed in power by either unelected groups or ignorant masses swayed by populist rantings.
Still, there's balance on it.

Despite that there could be supporters that are tolerating actions from their politicians inappropriately. It's a need to have wise and intelligent people to criticize the wrongdoings of these authorities.
844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: August 03, 2023, 01:10:42 PM
what's the actual feeling when you are using a loan money on gambling knowing that there's an interest rate on your borrowed money which means you already lose part of your money before you start gambling.
IMHO, it feels like that you need to grind and should think that you shouldn't run out of luck because you need to pay for it. Because if you lose it all then you know what obligation you'll have to pay.

And on the otherhand, you're also optimistic because this is going to be like a free money if ever you win and hit the jackpot. The reality will make the situation not too complicated because we all know that who does that have to pay for both loan and interest.  Grin
While taking a loan to gamble, but have planned how much to repay and interest to be paid and must have full responsibility for repaying the loan.
But there are also gamblers borrow money to gamble but dont have good control and always borrow money regardless of whether they can afford to repay it back, while gamblers are gambling addicts and dont have a job that can be used as collateral
Basically, you're just saying that there are just two way around when a gambler borrows money and that's true.

845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to DCA 1.000.000 $ into Bitcoin on: August 03, 2023, 11:07:02 AM
lets say someone wins a million dollar and wants to dca 50k weekly into bitcoin.
What is the smartest way to do so?
If cash is on hand ready and I'm about to plan certain amount like putting that million on Bitcoin. Yes, DCA is a good strategy but if I think that the price now is as low as it can be then I'd certainly do everything to buy that.

Whilst it's a good to lumpsum it, the problem mostly with exchange is that when you're a buyer and you get that much transactions. That's where you will trigger them and could ask for more docs compliance.

I know nothing and would send 50k to binance each week and set a limit order every monday. Is there a better way?

Thx Smiley
That's pretty much it. If you think that Binance is the good exchange that buy with that money, one thing that you'll need to accept is the possible more IDs that they'll require you.
846  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for August on: August 02, 2023, 06:22:51 PM
While it's nice to check out monthly progress for Bitcoin. Usually with these sentiments, it's just getting harder based on the news that circulates around. We get some good and decent bad ones.

While the entirety until the bull run comes, I'm all bullish on it. But for this month, it seems that we're going to be sluggish as what the majority in the market seems sluggish as well including Bitcoin.

Anyone expecting BTC to drop to $24k again might either miss the coming bull runs or enter at a very high price.
Well, they can always buy in the middle range during the bull run.

That is why never click a random link from a stranger. You'll never know what's inside of it and you have to be always vigilant if it comes to these matters.

Whether it's work related or not, always check first what's inside on it using some feature from anti-virus and have it checked by them. Or if you've got other methods of checking it, always do.

Verify and don't be hasty if it's a link from the guy that you've just met.
849  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which CEX did you use and what are your reasons for adopting the exchange? on: August 01, 2023, 10:09:49 PM
What are the things you consider personally before achieving adopting an exchange, there are lots of reasons like the features, non-KYC mandatory, easy user interface, proof of reserve fund, user asset protection and the likes what are your own reasons amidst all and which exchange did you use.
Mostly, it's very possible to find a CEX that will require no KYC. But things have changed now, Binance and Kucoin that have been the exchanges that don't implement KYC before have already asked for it.

That's why for the exchange that you want to find without asking for a KYC, it's mostly going to be a DEX. And if you do are going to comply with KYC, make sure that you like that exchange and aware of its things.

To me I always try to use different exchange to have a good comparison of them all, there are lots of exchanges you can trade on.
While that's true but at some point, there's going to be sort period of time that you're not going to do that anymore and mostly relaxed and happy to use one.
850  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 💸Buy-Sell BFG on BetFury | 🔥Fury Pharaoh - New In-house Slot on: August 01, 2023, 08:44:58 PM
I check the volume nearly everyday on Vulkania. It's been several months that the volume is around 30000 $.
I don't know what's that website or service you've just mentioned but looking at the cmc. BFG's volume is about $90k+ in the last 24 hours.

And all of these volumes are coming from dexes and not with cexes. Looking at its volume through coingecko, the data says that it's around $60k+ for the last 24 hours.

Not that much but that's how it goes and that's what you can see from everyone here talking about it.
851  Economy / Economics / Re: I think SEC was right this time as they sues Crypto Influencer -Richard Heart on: August 01, 2023, 07:33:49 PM
That's another point for SEC. If this is what they're doing, chasing those people that have used their investors fund or misled people.

Majority from the community are going to count on them because they're doing a great job on this one. And doing so, will alert the other influencers that have been doing misconduct.

Also those that have plans of following.

853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 18, holding my bitcoin and looking forward :) on: July 31, 2023, 04:23:52 PM
I'd say that you're doing a good job and at that age, only a few can manage to take risks because all they want is to secure their future. While you, you're basically doing the same thing but understands more the risk that you're taking.

The only thing that can stop bitcoin is probably the government.
They can't but even they have the authority to ban Bitcoin, give sanctions to exchanges. It has been proven that with or without them, Bitcoin will continue as long as there are miners and there's the demand.

I am gonna start deciding to sell it at end of 2024 , but I guess i could wait till end of 2025.

Hopefully bitcoin can save me from this crazy inflation and break me out of this financial crisis.
If you guys have any tips , do let me know ... I would be very grateful for it.
Sell when you are satisfied. And when I say satisfied, you're in profit and don't be hasty in getting those gains. The right time will come.
854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: July 31, 2023, 03:06:37 PM
Gambling winnings aren't that much for the most but it is important to get your part every win you make. It may not be as huge as considered to be a wealth but you have to make yourself secure anything as much as possible.

While it's true that it starts from the gambler's mindset but not everyone stays intact with their mindset. Because when the excitement, rush and adrenaline is there whenever you gamble, you're forgetting those important points that you need to remember.

Because it will make you control yourself and keep focus when you win and that's to take some from your stash.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 30, 2023, 05:23:57 PM
The game 1 of TS and TL confirmed that Liquid is just too strong now after they demolished Team Spirit on game 1 with same manner they defeated Talon. Team Liquid is very aggressive in both drafts and lanes. This is a difficult Team Liquid which usually just farm lanes and just casually get a rotation.

Zai Naga Siren to steal yatoro hero is really worth it and monster. He dominates his lane which result for the enemy carry to become gap and unable to catch up even on mid game to late game.

Team Liquid is using different strategy since they was beaten down to lower bracket.
Despite how TL was strong on the game 1, it's the opposite on what they've been through on game 2. Well, this is a total good match. A former TI champ and probably soon to be a TI champ(not unless GG takes it).

Maybe Talon's role is to just eliminate the big dogs of the lower bracket and pave the way for Liquid to win the tournament. They successfully defeated GG, the raid boss of the recent tournaments, and have been kicked easily by Liquid. Much respect to Talon still for going so far, taking home $1.5M if I'm not mistaken. That game 2 would have been different if they picked a support that is more active in lane instead of enabling and just sustaining the core. That Io pick really is weird IMO.
Likely.

There are teams that are like that. Like Execration, they're able to beat GG on the Bali major IIRC but that's still too early for the group stages. There really are unorthodoxed teams that can beat the strongest ones.

Well, game 2 didn't go well for Team Liquid.
856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 30, 2023, 03:11:55 PM
Unfortunately, they failed to counter the picks of Team Liquid. They had nothing that can deal with the bear of Lone Druid. I feel that their IO last pick should have been different. Maybe a hero that could counter the lone druid. When the IO came out, I know it is over.
Those two matches of Team Liquid and Talon looks too easy for Team Liquid. Maybe Talon was too exhausted against GG and they didn't have enough sleep.

Anyway, we're on the grand finals. Both teams have already secured millions of prize money and I am looking forward to see this tournament being owned by Team Liquid. We know that Team Spirit is also a TI champ but it's a different thing that Liquid got more fans.

Let's go Liquid!
857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When it's all set and done, do not forget those in need. on: July 30, 2023, 12:58:38 PM
It depends to what do you wanna do to your money. I am sure that each of us have some charities to help in any way and form that we want to or we have our obligations and help that we're passing to the loved ones that we've got.

IMHO, we don't need to remind people that they should help whenever they've made a profit. We're grateful and passing all the good deeds that we receive in other forms that we're capable of.

So, this is like minding our business and we've also took the risk and whatever reward we get from investing in Bitcoin, we deserve it.

These politicians have got a lot to discuss and it's not just all about Bitcoin. There are too many issues that they need to address and I am okay with that. Anyway, I am not a voter but anyone is welcome on this community whether he's a politician with good intention or just for the sake of votes.
Sure, they do have a lot to discuss and that bitcoin legitimacy is just a small portion of what they need to address but the point of this thread is to talk about his support in bitcoin and I think it's a valid thing that it's the only thing that we discuss here.
Well, that's on point.

He's got a story to tell that he has bought it for his kids for their inheritance and that's a boss move. Now for those that did liked what he has told and are eligible to vote next year.

They gotta decide if he's the candidate that they'll support but it's too early to tell that. I've seen candidates like Yang before that has expressed his support to Bitcoin but with lack of support from the people, he had to surrender.
859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 29, 2023, 01:13:25 PM

Whilst, 9Pandas are out together with its co-EEU team BetBoom. Both of these teams will take home $800k. Still not bad for that placing.

Well its not bad for 9 pandas because I do know that they are not really capable of advancing further thus winning $800k is so much better for them, in this case its 4x of winning the 1st prize in Major.
They've got the prize and at the same time, they're secured in the TI. So, that means money everywhere for them but it's a good motivation that they must do better in TI for a higher prize money.

As for BB, too bad though as I thought they are the only capable team of winning against GG but I guess GG is going to sweep this tournament too by winning the 1st spot
Many of us thought that they'll be the one to beat GG because no doubt that BB is a strong team and one of the contenders there. On how thrilling they are especially on what went with the Bali major.

Still, all good for these teams and they've got more time in preparation and relaxation before the TI comes.
860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 29, 2023, 11:41:10 AM
Now , I love Talon and 23savage but I think 9Pandas with Kyotaka Invoker have a great combo and synergy against GG and their medusa so I do hope 9pandas will win and face them later on today because GG must be eliminated as I don't want see watch another Liquid vs GG final because we already had 3 this year. Undecided
Welp, Talon Esports just swept 9Pandas, ez 2-0 for them. So, it's going to be Talon and GG later on. While waiting for that game, we've got also interesting match up coming. Team Liquid and Team Spirit.

I just hope when the match of GG and Talon comes, it's going to be that close against Team Liquid and great performance on how they did against 9Pandas.

Whilst, 9Pandas are out together with its co-EEU team BetBoom. Both of these teams will take home $800k. Still not bad for that placing.
