8561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PrivCoin.io Mixing service for Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash on: November 13, 2017, 06:20:27 PM
Compared to the former best out there, we are technologically identical in every way except two.

Same as Bitmixer, we offer custom delays per address, custom percents per address and custom fees. Better than Bitmixer, we get your forwarded coins to you usually in the next block by paying higher miner fees. We also support 4 different crypto currencies where Bitmixer only supported one.

In the future we will also support a Coin Join mixing implementation.

To summarize, if you are looking for a service to replace Bitmixer and keep the same flow you should use PrivCoin.

Thank you very much for your responses. That itself is a sign of a good service.

Indeed, offering 4 different cryptos (including of course Bitcoin) is already a huge advantage - will you be able to offer cross-coin mixing in the future? That is, I sent Bitcoin and request say Litecoin? Coin Join is great but I can already do that in certain wallets though of course if this is an all in one package, I foresee better convenience with using PrivCoin.
8562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH or BTC? on: November 13, 2017, 11:39:09 AM
BHC did some extraordinary stuff yesterday and saw almost 2k that’s understandable for some people to freak about it but i don’t think we will ever see bitcoin cash taking down the bitcoin. Bitcoin cash already started to fall and will get stabilized in even lower spot.

Oh, the big miners and corporate suit clad exchange owners and payment service providers have all made their money yesterday, especially in South Korea where they made $1000 more above market prices elsewhere. You are absolutely correct that it will never challenge Bitcoin for the crown of crypto but trust me, they have enough resources to keep on manipulating BTC/BCH difficulty for many more adjustments. I almost wish I had the same capacity, it is very sad to see this easy money flow happening. But then, we should also blame the speculating community. But then, they are just doing what they are good at.
8563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple: A long term investment or short term? on: November 13, 2017, 09:52:04 AM
Yes Ripple is an altcoin with high potential
It's old and reliable
Never hacked Smiley these are nice things to trust

I would not tempt fate or hackers with this kind of statement to be honest. Never hacked simply means hackers have not tried hard enough. With Ethereum wallets, for example, lots of funds to steal to make the hacking worthwhile. With Bitcoin, even in Singapore now they predict quantum computing to be able to crack it by 2029. And we know that tech predictions tend to be shortlived as technology advances far quicker than most people think. Hack-proof does not exist. Hack-resistant is the best anyone can hope for.
8564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PrivCoin.io Mixing service for Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash on: November 12, 2017, 07:35:41 PM
Sorry to come late to the party! I have never needed to consider any other mixing service since I started using one recently, as I chiefly only need to add privacy to my Bitcoins. However, with considerable amounts of my crypto portfolio will now almost permanently in alts, including Litecoin and Ethereum, I am looking to a mixer that supports these too. I will probably not start mixing until next year, if at all, depending a lot on what happens with the market, but better to start preparations early.

Question for Privcoin: you say you are the most advanced. Can you explain how? P.S. Let us compare to one of the best out there that has now closed down (bitmixer).
8565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Pure Investments - Signals, Advice, Mentoring, ICO's, Learning - Free/Trial/Paid on: November 12, 2017, 05:55:19 PM
Nice calls I am seeing here, although I think all these signals are claiming to have made the BCH calls. A few questions before I decide to try, if you don't mind.

1)What has been the nett gain/loss overall since starting? I know you only show off the best. But I also want to know what the losses have been.
2)Do you provide entry and exit points?
3)Are signals instant, meaning I have to be online to follow? What if I only log in once a day, will I be able to still benefit?
4)Do you also provide % of bankroll to use for signals?

Thank you in advance.
8566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to claim Bitcoin Cash from Block.io on: November 12, 2017, 04:07:14 PM
You might want to discover and read the other sections in this forum about how to "claim" coins from a fork. One example is here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=87.0

The important ones to read about are about the hard fork.

In summary, for me:
1. Visit the official page of the fork, in your case Bitcoin Cash.
2. Find the guide that lists official wallets supporting it.
3. Import your private keys from block.io
4. You have your coins (inside the BCH wallet).
8567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is there really a need for lot of new exchanges? on: November 12, 2017, 03:19:35 PM
There are fewer than 100 exchanges, and there are fewer than 10 trusted exchanges, fewer than 5 well used and trafficked sites and that is nowhere near the number that would make it worth posting here. I do not know what you think would be a better number, but you have picked a strange number to attack, there are way too many coins, too many invested ICO's and such, but the exchanges are right where they need to be.

I must say you have a huge list of trusted exchanges! I use a few major ones which I might score 6 on a scale of 1 - 10 for reliability, and perhaps I would "trust" decentralized exchanges like Waves with a 8 score. Then again, I don't have to trust Waves or any other Dex to use them and that is their biggest advantage over the others. Whatever balances they say I have on my wallets, I can verify on any explorer.

Poloniex et al can say whatever they want me to see, and I will not be able to breathe with relief until I get my coins back from them.
8568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: If the Yobit was a scam exchange ? on: November 12, 2017, 01:15:28 PM
I keep hearing bad things about Yobit but I will be fair here: yes, they are small, I do not trust them with big amounts, but then again I do not trust ANY exchange with any amounts.

OP: post yr TX id here so we can be clear about the situation and help you. If you just came to complain, you do not help yourself or your 2 ETH.

Yobit is slow sometimes, they take forever to respond sometimes, but they have never scammed me. Other big exchanges on the other hand? Poloniex is the one that comes to mind. Never responded my support tickets for > 6 months.
8569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Anybody heard of Cashaa - the next banking platform for the next billion? on: November 11, 2017, 07:47:33 PM
On my path to find a promising ico to invest I came across Cashaa. According to them they are building the next banking platform for the next billion.
Although my knowledge of the crypto world is still limited, I am kind of drawn to their project, but I humbly ask if forum members with deeper knowledge of upcoming ICOs would take a look into cashaa.
Their developer team makes a rather professional impression.

https://cashaa.com/

I wonder if this is coincidence or I just have selective memory. Bitcoin Classic which closed down yesterday also urged the next billion to come on over to Bitcoin Cash and make it the new Bitcoin. Makes me wonder if the same small group of people are running mining operations and in their free time also working on side projects and multiple ICOs.

My quick summary of cashaa:
1- it says legally compliant but there is no compliant ICO in existence.
2 - 2 million dollars raised already and 25 days of ICO left. Crazy success considering.
3 - OMG top 15? Maybe

Verdict: average, and too late to get in with bonuses gone.
8570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why buy WAVES? on: November 11, 2017, 04:06:31 PM
Waves more than anything is a decentralized exchange and we need at least one that works as good as a regular exchange but that it cannot be took down as easily as centralized exchanges, a government only needs to confiscate a few servers to destroy an exchange, decentralization is the only reason bitcoin has survived this long and I think it is imperative that exchanges operate in this way as well, no only to protect their customers but to protect themselves as well

I just took a look at the market section for Waves under coinmarketcap, and it is beginning to look quite healthy to be honest. Almost 1 billion trading volume today, which is really impressive for a DEX! OK, yes, Waves/BTC itself is 60% of the volume, but even 400,000 dollars outside of that is very good volume, despite the relative quietness of Waves as a whole.

Just wait for developments to really run down centralized exchanges, once people have nowhere else to go, Waves is going to be one of the few alternatives to turn to. Patience is the name of the game here.
8571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Antshares/ NEO [NEO] on: November 11, 2017, 01:50:41 PM
Lots of rumours flying around about this amazing news that is going to be released about NEO but no one has actually said what it is or what the sources are. My guess is that it will be formally recognised by Chinese government, or a business alliance will be formed

Well, I have certainly not heard any rumours about NEO, so I guess I am in different communities getting different news. But to be honest, is not every project almost tempting us with amazing news? I tend to be disappointed now by the amazing news when I get them. In fact, now even "bad news" is called amazing (like when an ICO did not go well and they decide to give extra bonus to the few who invested haha). NEO will never be recognized by the Chinese government. The current politics means they cannot side or favor with anything that is remotely corporate. Even worse a business alliance!
8572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: this will change the Cryptoworld... on: November 11, 2017, 10:29:04 AM
The cryptoworld cannot be changed this way. The project does nothing new, it is just following all that is already being done in the crypto world. Even your hybrid PoW and PoS is already an old idea. Maybe this is a new thing for corporate people like these guys, but we already moved on from such things a long time ago.

Also, be careful, it is Swiss based. You know Switzerland authorities are now very careful with all these blockchain and crypto projects. They are already investigating ICOs and will be keeping a close eye on everything that is happening based out of that country.
8573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: everything red again. on: November 11, 2017, 09:36:36 AM
Hmm, I am not sure what reds you are seeing. Bitcoin lost $1000 in 2 days, recovered a bit but looks like has strong support at $6500. This means alts are picking up, not just against BTC value but also in fiat value. I am slowly recovering my alt positions but they are still in massive losses from late September haha. If I can slowly recoup up to -30% or less, I will be happy. But not sure I am happy Bitcoin has to go lower because of that. Ideal scenario: Bitcoin goes back up past $7000 AND alts, like before also rise in value.
8574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can we trust Telegram Signal channel..? on: November 10, 2017, 07:47:45 PM
Honestly, cannot imagine people still asking if you can trust something that is promising you profit. In fact, even if they do not promise profit, do not trust them. What you might trust are those trading channels that only teach and discuss - and leave you to follow their actual trades if possible. In this way, they are only sharing.

But most posters here will tell you anyway, do not ever trade based on signals. Tell me; if the signals meant anything, would people share it? This is trading, not charity Smiley
8575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2X back on??? on: November 10, 2017, 03:20:03 PM
Sometimes, trolls should just realise that 90% of the world does not understand a joke. Even if it clearly says "Sent from my Spaceship", people will not get it and get all scared and rumor prone. I wonder if people really just trade on rumours and fake news? Must be part of the pressure to see Bitcoin now fall to 6800, and Bitcoin Cash move up quite a bit. First time in a really long time I have seen BCH at more than 0.11 BTC. It would be so surprising if this continued all the way to December, though.
8576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long Term Investors Doomed on: November 10, 2017, 02:03:28 PM
First of all, your generalization not only does not apply, it has not even been proven. Long-term in investment means years. Not months or weeks. And with most alts not even three years old, and the majority of big ICO tokens only a year old or so, your statement can only be examined in 2019 and beyond.

Secondly, you are looking at Bitcoin price. If you stick to the fiat value of alts, in general they are rising. I am talking about non-ICO alts like Litecoin for example, and if you ignore the origins of Ethereum, that too. You are "doomed" if you are a long term BTC/alt pair trader, I agree. But not if you are an investor.
8577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: red pulse ICO worth it? on: November 10, 2017, 11:45:27 AM
Red pulse now trading just onl on Kucoin the brand new exchange with small volume $881,893
What's do you think about it price now $0.046489? Should I wait for a dip or buy now?

I am in two minds here. Missed the Red Pulse ICO of course, since I was completely tied down with all the bad pricing on alts. Was not ready to take yet another risk by liquidating to ETH for a starting loss. Turned out to be a good decision when RPX ICO had those problems. And turned out to be better when trading price was below ICO.

Then again, prices already are looking up. Time to buy in belated coins before they can't be stopped or is this the so-called dead cat bounce?

Any new investors want to weigh in?
8578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Smart contracting to the world and Eth platform to 10k on: November 09, 2017, 05:34:02 PM
Hello, Lucacrebbe. I am really beginning to wonder who you are!

I like smart contracts too. I use only once and thought I felt so special, even though I know it is really nothing. Something like the first time I sent Bitcoin haha. But I worry that popular smart contracts are not developed well. Like how ETH just lost hundreds of millions on a smart contract accident.

P.S. Thanks again for your thoughtful messages in PM. I know I am terrible at replying but I do respond indirectly here in forum, so do not think I have completely ignored you Smiley
8579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alts one more time on: November 09, 2017, 04:57:01 PM
Is it not just ridiculous to see everyone's predictions just fall flat after one announcement? Ouf I just wish I knew about this announcement days before. I guess the segwit2x people will not mind, since they probably bought up all the alts they could just before that announcement. Is the world of crypto great or what?

People know they have power, they brought up all this discussion and caused all the prior forks and BTC value shot up. Now they gave up on their dream, and I am so certain they took a little profit.

Good news for me: my heavy losses is now only around 35 to 40%. Go alts!
8580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yobit and Segwit2X BTC hardfork on: November 09, 2017, 10:21:54 AM
Yes, I was really surprised that Yobit was the first to announce Bitcoin Gold news even weeks before, and earlier they quietly launched Bitcoin Cash futures in a similar way. Looks like they were well aware of developments with segwit2x long before most of us did. For a small Russian exchange, they seem to be very well informed. After taking a quick look on coinmarketcap (markets section) I can see that their volumes have been creeping up slowly on some major alts too like ETH DOGE and WAVEs. Anyone know the reason why?
