861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I will pass KYC later is a bad idea on: November 24, 2023, 06:44:49 AM
The issue with some gamblers is the assumption that, being in crypto, everything remains anonymous, allowing for privacy to be maintained. However, that's no longer the reality as adoption has increased, and regulations have become tighter. It's essential to bear in mind, especially with recent news (if you're following), that CZ, the CEO of the largest exchange Binance, was arrested and has reached a settlement with the government, agreeing to pay billions to avoid imprisonment. This highlights the seriousness of regulators, as I believe both exchanges and gambling sites are treated similarly when it comes to regulation.

It's understandable, especially for those new to crypto, to assume they would enjoy complete anonymity due to the term 'decentralized.' However, this is not the case for most casinos. The kind of games or platforms they operate is quite similar to fiat casinos, differing only in the currency used—crypto here, fiat there.

Over time, they'll come to understand the importance of KYC. If we disregard it, it means we are not eligible to gamble. So, if we still want to engage in gambling, we have to acknowledge that KYC is a necessary step and accept it before signing up.
862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: November 24, 2023, 06:10:23 AM
No poor have gambled to richness.
Maybe that's true for many, but not everyone. When you're in poverty, you're constantly brainstorming ways to escape it, and it's undeniable that some people consider gambling as a faster and easier option.

However, we can't ignore the fact that the chances of success in gambling are generally low, at least for most of us. Yet, if we're truly devoted to what we're doing—putting in the hard work to enhance our gambling strategy—I believe there's a chance to prove most people wrong who think that gambling cannot change lives for the better.

There are lottery stories but the money coming from luck don't last long.

Again, it depends on the person holding the money.
863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: November 24, 2023, 04:27:35 AM

It's just a matter of success and failure; once it fails, you won't finance again. But if the person is winning, that would help you earn consistent profit, provided he sticks with the same setup.

That's how a gambler should think. It shouldn't complicate things. We're all in this to expect two possible outcomes: either we lose or we win. Similarly, when trusting a person, it's akin to a gamble with agreed-upon terms. If they succeed, we win; if they fail, we lose. It's that simple, right?
864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 24, 2023, 03:57:06 AM
Looks like we have a day off from NBA games as the league lets its players celebrate Turkey Day here in the United States. Plenty of NBA drama to keep up with on social media though as the Oklahoma City Thunder are dealing with Josh Giddy apparently having a relationship with a 16 year old girl. His career may now be toast.

How about Scott Foster and CP3 again,

And obviously, this two has a beef years ago that only players knows, but this beef seems to be very personal, as Paul say that Scott mentions his sons,

https://twitter.com/legendz_nba/status/1727812676347183524

Quote
LEAKED Audio Of Chris Paul Arguing With Scott Foster👀:

Paul: “In the way? I was in the way? That’s bullsh*t!

Foster: “No, that’s not bullsh*t. Enough”

Paul: “Get the f*ck out of here with that”

Later, CP3 called out Foster for mentioning his son: “He’s talking about my son!”

CP3 struggled when Foster officiated his games; his statistics does not look appealing. While this may feel personal, CP3 must acknowledge that Foster's role is to officiate. If he has concerns, addressing them professionally and filing a complaint is the appropriate course of action. He can't say something that would affect the team's chances of winning, that's being unprofessional and selfish at the same time.
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We should start looking into Altcoins on: November 23, 2023, 11:56:44 PM
The challenge now is which altcoin. This time it seems very different, compared to before when most altcoins would just pump after the Bitcoin rally.
Now, it's really difficult, even if you say top altcoin, we have now a lot of top altcoins.
Plus Bitcoin dominance right now is extremely high and local top, we still don't know if Bitcoin will continue to rally or go sideways so altcoins will do their run also.
Yes, that remains a challenge as to which altcoins can be worthy of our money and trust in the end. As we know already that altcoin market is the playground of scammers, then investing into altcoins needs high caution so we won't be regretting why we decide to take the risk in altcoins. However, we can't guarantee that altcoins these days will certainly follow the same path with bitcoin, they could move the other way around when we are in the verge of expecting high profits just like we used to speculate with bitcoin.

Despite of the fact that its hard to land on right altcoins in the market, a lot of investors still chose to take risk with altcoins not because its  way of diversifying our investment but because its known to us that in our previous investments, altcoins have the chances to provide us exceptional profits more than bitcoin can offer that would be life changing for those who have the courage to take the risk.
866  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Weak or wise? on: November 23, 2023, 10:59:20 PM
In trading sometimes, there are situations and several times where traders while observing a trade placed and the profit they have made already  from it  begin to think and consider to exit from the trade and take the profit that they have made instead of waiting to the end.

Do you accept to be a weak trader or a wise trader when you exit a trade taking some profit, but not the entirety of what you want on your TP?
While trading creates wise and smart traders, there are still instances that make a trader weak. But with the given situation OP, I guess exiting a less profitable trade does not make a trader weak. He is just taking the assurance that he will not suffer from losing a trade if he will cut his trade and exit. Well, every trader has its own choice when to start or exit a trade, and as long as the profits is already there, that trader is still making a good and successful trade.

But if we can maximize the profits in trading, the better. The problem is we can't predict correctly what's about to happen in the market the moment we decide to trade, the reason why if we are currently seeing good amount of profits, then its better to make an exit in trading. Otherwise, your expected profits will suddenly turn into losses and that's something we don't want to happen.
867  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What you need to know about trading on: November 23, 2023, 08:15:52 PM
Most people think life is a bed of roses, is all about sunshine,  enjoyment etc not knowing that there's always a  tough time and the ability of one to overcome this time makes him great.  Tough time is the point through which poor and successful people emerges depending on the choices and decision they take.
Most traders and investors are inpatient they only think of the positive side of it ( making profit) not knowing there will always be a loss someday,  well most of them know but when they make losses they became frustrated and unstable,  some will give up because of that little experience.  Sometimes we make losses and we have bad experience like we offend God but no, we are only been tested.  Some of the spirit of a trader or invest is "I can make it mindset, resilience...
Life could sometimes be unfair. Even with trading and investing, we don't get to make consistent profits but most of us only lose our capital especially if we trade or invest without prior knowledge and experience on the market. But I think that's how trading works in reality. We lose so we can learn its lessons and becomes more motivated to develop useful skills and strategies that will improve our performance in trading.

However, if you see those losses in trading as a sign to quit and move forward, then you are wrong in there. Everyone started from a scratch and you will only be successful in trading if you trade harder and continue to enhance what you need to improve and develop.

Meanwhile , Clippers are having 3 victories in a row and by the way they play , I think the 4th one will come too.  Cool
Westbrook coming off the bench has been working so far. There were reports that he personally requested to be "relegated" from his starting role so the team could start playing better and winning. It's not that I'm surprised with the decision to sacrifice but kudos to him if that's what really happened.
Yes totally agree. This is because Russell Westbrook gave up being in the starting lineup. Also don't forget Daniel Theis really help Clippers! 20+ points in 21 mins. However, they only won against weaker teams specifically the Rockets and had back to back wins against the San Antonio Spurs.

We'll find out if the LA Clippers are really strong in the next fnour games Pelicans, Mavericks, Nugget and Kings.

I wouldn't label the Rockets as a weak team; they're sitting pretty at number 8 with a win rate above .500. The Spurs, on the other hand, seem to be in a bit of a rut, struggling to find their winning ways. But let's see how it unfolds. The Clippers are going head-to-head with the Pels, Zion's crew, who've been on a roll with 4 out of 5 wins in their last games. Things are about to get interesting starting this game.

They've definitely upped their game this season compared to the past when they were stuck in a consistent tanking phase. The Rockets have shown big improvement, as reflected in their current ranking, (i think they are at rank 5 before the lose streak).... Although they faced a three-game losing streak on the road, they managed to bounce back with a win at home. It's still early days, and their performance might fluctuate throughout the season.

The Clippers had also experience the struggles, especially when Harden joined the mix, but now they're enjoying a three-game winning streak.

Regardless of the teams they faced, that's something to be happy about.

Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ?
Yes

Quote
If yes, what had been your strategy ?
Strategy differs from person to person, but what's important is you don't choose a luck based game if you are into "steady income" in gambling.

Do you diversify to multiple games in order to ensure that end result is always profit ?
Not necessary, few games you focus results better concentration, so stick with few games, again, not on luck based.

I personally feel that there are very less chances of making a steady income with gambling. In fact, if you win a big amount in gambling, from there on , you should play games with less on stake and keep the winnings invested in some good option like crypto. It is important to have self control to end profitably with gambling ventures online. Do you agree with this ?

Selt control and the skills in winning games consistently. I know not everyone has that kind of skills since the reality will slap us that majority of the gamblers are losing money, making the gambling industry growing steadily. But be one among the few who make steady income by betting.
871  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What’s your portfolio building strategy for crypto? on: November 22, 2023, 11:58:19 PM
Guys, I’d really like to know how you built your crypto portfolio? I’m a seasoned crypto investor myself (not to mention an entrepreneur) and this is just that time of the year when I ask other crypto investors about their strategies. My Strategy is centered around using AI to analyze data and trends of the current market and then rebalancing my portfolio based on my findings. What are you all doing/have done to build your portfolio?
It's never bad to look into AI but never rely on it completely. Do your own due diligence to research to come up with the right coins to invest most especially for altcoins as majority of them are only pump and dump scheme. But make sure you put higher allocation to bitcoin, with DCA you will continue to maximize your bitcoin accumulation regardless of its high expensive price.

However, if we can DCA with bitcoin, do the same with altcoins as well. Smart investors do not just buy when prices are in dips, they become even smarter if they add doing DCA. That works for me throughout the years, for sure it will also work for everyone else. It's more satisfying to see your crypto portfolio growing with both bitcoin and reputable altcoins.

872  Economy / Economics / Re: No Correlation Between Academic Success and Financial Success on: November 22, 2023, 10:58:34 PM
We have seen that it has been debated that there are more A students who work for C students or there are C students who earn more than A students. Personally I don't believe any of this premise. What I believe is that it doesn't matter whether you are an A student or have a high IQ. Rather it's about having the courage to venture into unchattered territories, including taking calculated risk and making the most of the opportunities that lead to high income. In our society today and in the past, the people who have demonstrated audacity and capitalized on privileged advantages to undertake risky yet lucrative business ideas are the ones who end up being of great influence and earn more. Do you agree?

fastercapital.com/startup-topic/Taking-Calculated-Risks.html
The real battle in life starts when you have finished your academics and is ready to conquer the realities in life. That's why you have to learn the fundamentals and theories while you are studying and apply them after schooling. Otherwise, if you are all knowledge but has poor application skills and strategies, you will never achieve life's success most particularly financial success. Financial success is not measured by how far your intelligence can go but its all about key performance indicators.

However, we should also not forget that life's success is not measured by money either. Being successful is appreciating what you have and and be grateful for it  as long as its makes you happy and is giving you life's simple satisfactions.

873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An easy approach to Bitcoin on: November 22, 2023, 10:34:56 PM
Most people especially kids have heard about Bitcoin or crypto currency without really knowing what it is about or how it works.recently I came across a particular video which I found online.it was an animated video giving a very brief and basic knowledge about the concept of Bitcoin. It talked about why Bitcoin was created, how Blockchain works ,as well as mining.I saw it as a good approach to teaching young ones or even newbies about Bitcoin.Without saying much here is a link to the video.
https://www.facebook.com/reel/3050082035123654?mibextid=Hn3EexMF1WhlYZLE
Kids are highly fascinated with animated videos and they learn easier and faster if what they're also seeing are of their high interest. But we all know that bitcoin is a broad topic, and even if you say this is a good strategy for kids to easily grasp the idea of bitcoin, but haven't you realized that bitcoin is not actually for kids but for young adults and higher who are matured enough to understand the core of bitcoin. Still, even if they become fascinated with this video, we can't expect from them that really get the main point of bitcoin.

However, if you are just raising awareness for your kids about bitcoin, then probably this video will work, but if you assume that they will come to understand what bitcoin is all about and how it works, then maybe you are just seeing it from a beginner's point of view.
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Government's actions against crypto on: November 21, 2023, 11:59:33 PM
Governments do more research on crypto usage and especially in countries where crypto is listed as illegal.
I don't think that they're doing research on it and that's why they just impose one rule about crypto and that's about being illegal on them.

But people of almost all countries are now indulging in crypto with secrecy which is completely impossible to hack. As far as I know in some countries using crypto is considered a very serious crime and has complicated laws in this regard. The governments of those countries are thinking that crypto is the exchange of one country's currency to another which is secret and unknown to the government.
It is no longer unknown to most countries. They know the existence of crypto but they choose not to indulge on it thus, they declare it as an illegal currency because it is decentralized and they know that they don't have full control on it. And also, they think that it's only being used for illegal transactions so they decide in general that it's all illegal.
Well, decentralization is a big threat to the government. And since bitcoin is decentralized and some other cryptos as well, then they make sure to impose on the people to stay hands-off on cryptos as whatever transactions will be hardly monitored and controlled by them. And the easiest way to prevent the people from hodling cryptos is to ban crypto for good and create sanction to those who are caught using it.

But people these days are wiser. If they can't access their cryptos publicly, then they'll do it privately and secretly. After all, the government won't be able to accuse them without clear evidences against them.
875  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you pay for signals? And how much ? on: November 21, 2023, 11:39:26 PM
Dlyou pay for signals? And how much ?
What's your monthly expenses for trading signals? Yearly?
I don't pay but i read alot people pay for signals so how good results If this ?
Most likely, those who pay for trading signals are those who are very eager for quick profits. Those who prefer to rely in other trading signals than rely in their own selves through constant studying in the market and frequent practice in the market. Trading is hard but is obviously learned, that's why I don't resort into paying these signals as they don't still guarantees the success of my trades. I prefer to lose at first but has learned my lesson, as that will motivate me to improve my trading performance and develop more skills and working strategies in trading.

However, I'm not saying that those who pay for signals are not profitable. Yes, they may be in profits but that will not help you build yourself as a good and reliable trader. Trading is a mental activity, and you should learn it the hard way if you aim for long term success, not for short term success.
876  Economy / Economics / Re: You are the product. Corporations spying on us deeper than we thought? on: November 21, 2023, 10:56:20 PM
I cannot find any record of search engines admitting to listening to our conversations but there are far too many occurrences of it happening and very distinct part of the world for it to be a mere coincidence.

When we understand that data is the prize and everyone is looking to get more and more of it to out-intrude their competitiors, when we do this we begin to break down the walls of limitation we put in place.
I have had cases were I randomly talked about an old friend to another old friend, and Facebook recommendsnthat exact friend to me. This is just one of many cases and it happens with regularity to indicate that voice data is being monitored and collected.
As much as privacy is concern, but the moment we decide to use these smart phones, note that it has its connection to an app store. It has its monitoring device that keep us tracked, so the more we tend to use it, the higher chances that our actions and responses are being in controlled or monitored by them. Even if we disable these location services or remove these unnecessary apps, that will not guarantee that we are still not monitored by them.

For me, the best option is to turn off your phone when you are conversing or making an important transaction. That is the best way not to indulge your own privacy.
877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Argentina Be The Next El Salvador To Accept Bitcoin As Legal Tender? on: November 21, 2023, 10:40:21 PM
Well, that still remain uncertain as we are not yet sure if that is really the main goal of Milley. Being a bitcoin lover does not guarantee that he will eventually legalized bitcoin as a legal tender in their country. Let the citizens give their opinions and ideas about it first before he will take final action that will not come out as totally contradicting from the desires of the people. The role of the president is not to create a law for his own desires and satisfactions, but certainly for the benefit of all the citizens. If bitcoin could do that, then most probably the president will look into it at the time of his administration.

Most likely, he will create crypto-friendly laws first so that the people will test it if that will be effective or not, if that will be favored by majority or not. Otherwise, these people will form a strike just like the people of El Salvador when they first heard that bitcoin will be their legal tender.
878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good advice? on: November 20, 2023, 02:26:04 PM
This is only true to those who are still newbies in gambling. Even myself I have also rely on that advice when I was still very eager to win and very greedy in gambling, until such time that I experienced only huge losses but never gained significant profits. That's when I realized that gambling too much is never good at all. Instead of pushing yourself to win the jackpot prize, you will only end up in deep gambling addiction. And that's the situation that I really want to avoid as much as possible.

The casino house has really no intention to make us win and hit the jackpot prize, no matter how often we gamble. Remember that gambling is a business, and they will only profit if they see us losing. So never take this advice because it will only push you to your limits in gambling, that is losing everything you have and seeing yourself struggle with gambling addiction. If there are instances that you win, its because you got lucky that time but remember your luck only happens once or twice, and after that you will keep on losing again until all the profits has returned to the casino house once again.
879  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the fall of Elon Musk's empire imminent? on: November 20, 2023, 01:46:21 PM
I don’t think so, he’s one of the smartest guys in the world. Everything he does is meticulously planned, I don’t think he is remotely close to seeing his house of cards tumble down. Don’t forget TESLA is propped up by government subsidies. Twitter (X) will turn into a profitable business I’m sure.

I think so too, he is an intelligent person, it is impossible for him to make decisions without thinking about what will happen. Surely every decision he takes has been well thought out. For me, he may not think about money, but Elon has his own reasons for all the decisions he takes so he decides everything for new things for the future.

In my opinion, people who are already very rich prefer to have power over a platform, because the higher their power, the easier it is for them to have money. He was always considered crazy for his ideas, he definitely had a hidden purpose there.
Elon's empire will never easily fall, not because of his wealth, but because he has this superb and brilliant ideas that will let him stay on his position. Although his high position in Twitter has already ended but I think it's part of his plan. We don't know the reality behind it but knowing Elon, he wants to keep an edge over the others and always on top of everything. And whatever he does, there's always his own motives and only him knows that.

However, despite of Elon's power and intelligence, I guess if he keeps on putting himself first more than others, that he gets to be greedy and even deceiving, his empire will definitely come to an end. But it could be years or a decade from now.
880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miss Universe 2023 betting today. on: November 20, 2023, 12:48:39 PM
This pageant is controversial as it looks like the Philippines got robbed.

Fans praise Michelle Dee for Miss Universe 2023 run, saying she was ‘robbed’

Filipino supporters haven't still moved on from the result, as there was a post on social media from the organizer stating that the Philippines was included in the top 5 but her name wasn't called, and she also has won a lot of awards.

I'm just sharing this, but none of these, even if proven, would change the way the bets are graded.
