861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LastPass hack - move your crypto assets to a more secure place right now! on: October 31, 2023, 10:46:34 AM
Such a disappointing product and service, I know that it's inevitable that breaches will happen but given that they've got breached so easily, it's just disappointing to me as I like the idea of password managers to help you in securing your accounts by having a diverse password without the worry of forgetting the access but it seems that things for me is going to change, you can't trust what they sell anymore, I guess I'm back to using pen and paper storage for my passwords. Christmas came early for these hackers with how much they've stolen from the users of LastPass.
862  Economy / Economics / Re: You can't meet all your needs/desires at once, even if you spend all your salary on: October 31, 2023, 10:01:51 AM
You've already said it OP, human needs are insatiable and I think that it's true. But don't misunderstand me though, yes it's true and it's not a bad thing because desire can be equated to necessity and necessity is the mother of inventions plus desire is helping the humanity advance as a species, our ceaseless desire to know everything and create something is what has kept our species alive for a 300,000 years and will continue to be the driving force for our survival. Also, desire and needs are the driving force of the economy because if a person doesn't desire any material then they don't have any motivation to be a cog in this capitalistic machinery that we've built to create products that we sell to other people that desire those products. Regarding the title of the thread, of course you can't get all your desires at once because desire has a price and most of the time it's not cheap.
863  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession? How to face It? on: October 31, 2023, 08:51:37 AM
Yeah income stream is very important. I have some gov. pensions . Some mining income. And lastly a signature campaign here.  I normally don’t do a signature but times are a bit hard so I needed more income.
You're one of the lucky few to have a lot of income streams so you can keep yourself afloat in a time where recession is imminent, a lot of Americans aren't as lucky as you are, I've watched the movie The Big Short and a lot of the Americans were homeless when the bubble popped and the recession started. I feel bad that not everyone has the means to make multiple income streams or has the opportunity because I do agree with you, that it's a good idea to have more income streams so the effects of recession is alleviated. I'm not from US so I can't really accurately say how to survive that but if I am right, there should be some kind of help that's going to be given to people that's affected like unemployment benefits or other stuff like that and so my tip based on what little that I know about the stuff in recession is for everyone feeling the effects to try and make sure that you take all the government help that you can get.
864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking back at the past, one of those statements gained respect over time. on: October 31, 2023, 05:49:23 AM
However now scammers are using that success story to try to promote their shitcoins, and people believing they can capture the same success and make money with those coins take the risk of investing in those coins, not realizing the difference between bitcoin and those shitcoins is the same difference between heaven and earth.
Well, that's to be expected because people love success stories and they all dream to be part of one so the scammers know this and so they try their best at social engineering and make it like their shitcoins are going to be the next bitcoin that will change the lives of the people that's going to buy and potentially buy their shitcoins and it works because we're addicted to the Cinderella stories of crypto people and we are so scared of regret that we always want to jump on an opportunity hoping to get lucky even though we know at the back of our minds it's not going to be happening.
Well, we can't go back to the past and buy bitcoin at $1 anymore so now see the current price $34K and where it will be in the next 10 or 15 years, even if bitcoin grows 50% or less than its previous era still you can make ton of money and can tell such story to someone else.
No matter how much you sugarcoat it, people are still going to regret not buying bitcoin when the price was still at the time a measly dollar, plus you saying that won't dispel the fact that even if you buy bitcoin and HODL for a long time, you're not getting the value that the other people who bought at dollar per piece back then.
865  Economy / Services / Re: Instagram Account 151k Followers - Email Access - Blue Tick ☑️ - Price 45$ on: October 31, 2023, 04:47:03 AM
If this account is truly this endowed with such an adorning profile, why not convert it for ads and earn from it rather than sell it for Peanut.

One ad gig from a project will pay you 5x on the amount you're trying to sell it for. It can become a passive income for you by just posting ads.

Re-consider your decision to dispose the account
That's probably because it's full of bot followers which isn't an organic kind of Instagram account so it's not going to garner you real interaction. They do this kind of thing where they grow an instagram account and build a bot following that's going to make it gain some real followers albeit not enough to make organic engagements. And once it's out of their hands, it's going to be a useless account with thousands of followers on the people that's bought the sold account.

867  Other / Meta / Re: There Must be child Board With the Name of "Location" in local boards. on: October 30, 2023, 03:28:26 PM
You don't have your own local board yet, but you are thinking of having some childboards. The child board you suggested isn't necessary. By creating those childboards, you are dividing your people and your community into certain groups. Do you really want that? The best would be one board for Pakistan so that everyone can share their knowledge, their ideas, and their opinions in one place. My suggestion for you is to focus on getting a local board first.

Imagine if everyone thought of creating child board based on their location like usa, russia etc. Do you realize how many child board will there be if that were to happen? It will only cause unnecessary mess.
Unnecessary and scary, I don't want you people knowing my general location because you know what region/city where I'm at, that's too scary and not to mention that those child boards would definitely not be an active boards anyway as you get closer on a location, it's definitely going to be less and less user that will reply there but I get OP's plight, OP wants to connect with those that are close to the region that OP is in but someone has to think of the implications of that suggestion.
868  Other / Meta / Re: Solution to account seller? I think on: October 30, 2023, 02:40:44 PM
Are you kidding me? If you do that then your account will be tagged. One way to prevent buying and selling accounts is to prohibit it, or legalize it with a high minimum price. Or use KYC so that 1 person only has 1 account. However, this forum is an reedom forum by limiting it, we destroy freedom in this forum, the current system is good and nothing needs to be changed.
If you actually use your common sense, you can probably do it anonymously and create another account to post your investigations and it's not like you're using it to gain fame or infamy in the forum, you want to do it so account buyers and sellers are discouraged from doing so. KYC is not going to be a thing here, if it were then the doxing tags would be useless and invalidated.

I didn't expect this to get this much attention, I will try to reply when I can. Even forgot that I started this topic lmao.
869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 30, 2023, 01:49:16 PM
It's probably because that winner knows his friends real well that if the winner isn't avoiding them then that person will inevitably lose the money real fast because either they will ask for a treat from the wins or they would ask him to shoulder their incoming bets or would influence him to bet those wins hoping to strike the iron while it's hot. I don't know the whole story though, it could be that my guess is somewhat right or in the ballpark or that winner isn't really their friend and that amount of money just showed what he really is when it comes to his friends.
870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 30, 2023, 01:16:24 PM
That was a disappointing fight and what the hell was with that decision, so weird and fucked up. Plus that end, it's like there's no sportsmanlike behavior on Fury. The corruption of the boxing federations has to stop because it's not doing the fighters and the people who support boxing any favors, they're just lining their pockets now and not caring about the quality of fights. Ngannou's the winner of the people, that's what's important.

I guess, he will never escape and he found a bigger one
871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does lottery rewards expire? on: October 30, 2023, 12:25:30 PM
~
and I don't think that there are even business that wont have expiration for everything , even claims for return product has expiration so what more the claims for winning, knowing that lottery wins are huge and yes needs clarification , KYC and other stuffs , if you are not willing to do such then best to not gamble at all.
but I know that there are some case that the winning never been claimed maybe the winner died or the ticket are completely lost.
Exactly what I was thinking, that there's definitely an expiration for almost anything, which I think makes OP's question moot since what's the point of asking if the common sense is to assume that there's going to be an expiration to everything, not to mention that business would want that to happen, for people to not claim their wins so they're not losing anything. The examples you've said though, I think that there's some way to work it out there; if the ticket is lost, there should be a record of your ticket and the numbers you've put in while on the other one, I think that you can argue that the immediate family member or relative can stake their claim on the ticket.
872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does lottery rewards expire? on: October 30, 2023, 09:20:08 AM
Wouldn't the casino have a ruling about the timeframe of the claiming of the rewards? If yes then that means that they're going to be explicitly say the time that you can claim it? Plus, it's their business so they can actually create their own set of rules and there's nothing you can do about that, even if you don't read it, you still have to comply to their rules which sucks but those are the rules, can't do anything about that.
873  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: October 29, 2023, 03:35:21 PM
Some casinos do not explain KYC and detailed requirements for withdrawals, so some users will be surprised if the withdrawal requirements must be KYC verified and the withdrawal value limits are high, this condition occurs in scam casinos because the casino team deliberately makes rules that make it difficult for users and the casino team will take over the account you to withdraw your funds, so make sure you register an account with a trusted reputable casino so that you don't worry about misuse of KYC data because they have a license that can be accounted for to monitor activities at that casino.
Shouldn't that be the casino's responsibility to tell the players that if they're planning to cash out, that they're going to have to follow their KYC policy? Plus, isn't it the best time if the casinos grow up too in terms of advertising? Lying about their operations can only work so long and with more people knowing how to think for themselves, deceptive advertising days should be numbered because there's a lot of option out there to choose from when it comes to honesty in casino so it's not incentivized in the long-term if you engage in that kind of advertising.
874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: October 29, 2023, 02:41:08 PM
If you are betting for fun then bet at casinos. If you are playing to make money then bet sports.
If you are playing to make money, expect that you're going to lose more money than you can win which is definitely what's going to happen when you gamble for the money and not for fun. If you're a responsible person, the best thing that you can probably do is to stop gambling once and for all or limit yourself and learn how to control your emotions when gambling which is harder to do because depending on you're gambling routine, each session is going to challenge you.
875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: October 29, 2023, 01:10:14 PM
Good tips. I agree with what you’ve said. Maybe with an emphasis on checking a casino’s reputation. When it comes to crypto entities on the internet, trust and reputation is everything. The best incentives in the world won’t mean anything if the casino offering them turns out to be operated by a scammer. Always think safety first.
Casino offerings that are too good to be true should've been an indicator that a casino is going to be a scam, I mean what could attract a greedy gambler more than a crazy and generous offer right? I think that there's no way that a scam casino won't be doing generous offers because as a new casino with nothing to offer is not an attractive thing for new and old players alike which might affect the scam casinos ability to get more victims.
Well, you have sure spoken very well bud, but i honestly wish that these things you mentioned are as easy to follow as it is to say them, most especially in the areas of practicing some limitations in gambling. I personally can remember several times I've set gambling goals for myself, but at the end of the day, i ended up doing another thing entirely.

Following some certain types of principles in gambling can be hard to be honest with you, this is why i personally have resolved that, in order to make sure I have the best gambling experience, one that will not lead me into addiction or losing money i never did expect or prepare to lose, I will only gamble with an amount of money i am willing and ready to lose, and i also try my best not to ever see gambling as a money making venture, for this is one of the places where gambling problems begins to arise from, trying to make money off gambling by all means, So yeah, prioritizing entertainment over making money in gambling is sure one confirmed why of gambling responsibly
They're pretty easy to follow although in a sense they're not an instructions anyway and more like a heads-up so I say that it's pretty easy to follow imo. Of course the building of principles and breaking of one is definitely difficult but OP is just reminding us of what to do. The part where prioritizing entertainment over money is pretty easy thing to do, just don't expect too much when gambling  and you're good to go.
876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: October 29, 2023, 12:02:42 PM
I disagree with you about that. I'm certainly for sure that there are more women that don't stick to what we call "tradition" where women can only do house chores or house wives, because now many successful people are women, in short, women nowadays can be powerful there are groups that raise the women rights for equality like in men. And I'm sure many casinos now accept all gender, whether men or women. It's just women being a gambler is low because they are not into that stuff. It's more prone to men who like to play the is they play with associated money. And I'm certainly sure there are only a few countries that don't think women are equal to men, but more countries have already broken that stereotyping. So everyone's have the rights and privileges to gamble or go a casino, as the world we live in now is changing.
You may have to check that with real data from researches regarding roles of women in society because if you're basing that claim on social media, then you might be in for a surprise because social media only shows you what you're interested in and so the algorithm floods you with stuff that you're agreeing which makes you only see that there's more independent women compared to traditional women. If you look at the current list of billionaires, your claim that more women are successful although true, it's not the entire truth. It's true if you compare it to old data but still the list will be dominated by men.
877  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake Balance Glitch on: October 29, 2023, 09:52:58 AM
Did you contact stake support? Lately, I have been watching a lot of complains against stake, don't know wtf they are doing. It has been my favorite casino for the last few years.
Stake's IT team have a lot of work at their hands with all of this complaints and problems, hopefully it can be solved and the people that are having problems get some compensation if they're really affected in some way. Stake has been a household name here so it's surprising that this problem didn't arise when they were still a brand new name, that's just weird to me.
It is kind of a glitch, but has something to do with your internet connection.
For example, you have the site open, lose connection, then it reconnects and you place a casino bet. Let's say you have 100$ and bet 10, it deducts the 10 so it shows 90 but after 2 seconds it jumps back to 100. Even if you win your bet it will show 100, and if you lose it also does.
Only after reloading the page you will see the real time balance of 90 or 110.

Of course it's shitty this happened but it's also your fault. After losing many balls you should know that your balance could never be 1389$ .

Always be focussed when you place bets online or things like this might happen.
Oh well, it definitely is OP's fault if it has to do with the Internet connection, the reason that OP probably didn't consider that he's balance is glitching is because OP thinks that he found a loophole although he's not getting anything out of it because it's not moving in a positive or negative way.
878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: October 29, 2023, 08:47:28 AM
If that's not your friend's bet slip, then it's safe to assume that the person who owns that slip is someone who's probably not worried about losing the bet. Regarding your debate, I think you're thinking the same thing and you just have a different definition. What I mean by that is that you're already being risky if you're greedy right? So in a way, you're kind of disagreeing over nothing but that's to my perspective though. @davis196 already said what needs to be said

Greed and risk have a direct correlation, not the opposite. Bigger greed leads to bigger risk and vice versa.
879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: October 28, 2023, 03:46:25 PM
My question was about casinos that runs doing fishy things like after someone wins big from their casinos they would not easily allow the winner to withdraw that winning amount.
They ask for whole lot of documents which are very difficult to arrange for one person, like I made an account on a site and they asked for my passport, to refund my not arrived deposit.
So how will I send them my passport copy when I don't even have a passport. so make account on trusted casinos and play on less casinos, Do KYC after making an account so it will be easier to deposit and withdraw regualrly.
Yeah, they tend to do that, hassling you so you don't have to bother claiming your wins outside of their casinos which makes you just use that money to play again until you lose all of it. Besides your suggestion, I would also add that try to be content with where you're going to spend your money, don't go looking for other fishy casinos because you're tired of playing in the regular but legitimate one. But of course there's some that don't like the idea of KYC, the only problem with this is that if they don't mind you not doing KYC then you're risking your possible wins to be put on hold because they have to make sure you're not cheating and it's rare to find a legit no KYC casinos, that offer is just too good now and scammers are using this opportunity to scam people because they like to be anonymous when gambling.
880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hal Finney was not Satoshi Nakamoto on: October 28, 2023, 02:57:41 PM
I think it's obvious for a really long time, if you look and compare how Satoshi and Hal uses words, they have some sort of differences. Satoshi has a hint that he's a British dude while Hal is definitely an American. In my opinion, people are thinking too much about all of this and trying to make sense on something that doesn't make sense. Can't we all just agree that Satoshi doesn't want to be known and that we should respect his privacy.
