I would say it was bad luck for Peshawar Zalmi yesterday. They have good batsman, bowlers but combination was not good. They start a slow match, Fletcher played 28 balls and scored only 26 runs. It should not be the nature of a top order batsman from any angle. Kamran Akmol played good. If Fletcher played quite faster, things may be different. They had good batsman behind. Pollard did a great knock though.
Well I would give credit to Shane Watson for his unbeaten 91 runs. He was very calm to hit the balls. The way he batted even if Zalmi would scored 190+ still I would think that Quetta Gladiators would win. However Zalmi could add more runs they they were extra careful to run scoring. |

True. Times have changed indeed primarily due to the T20 format rising in popularity over time due to which 250 is basically a low score these days.
I feel India might reach 280 as you said if Kohli continues playing and the remaining batsmen need to continue supporting him.

Two match today:
Lahore Qalandars vs Peshawar Zalmi and my pick is Peshawar Zalmi. They lost yesterday and I do not think they will let it happen today.
Islamabad United vs Quetta Gladiators and my pick is always Quetta Gladiators. For some reason I found them the tournament winning team.
I hope they do not disappoint.

Guys, can Australia be a good competitor for this world cup? Right now, I only can think India or England as the possible winner. What's your take on this? I think Australia is lacking of a good balanced team, at least they don't have the necessary batsman fot the top order.
Well Australia, South Africa even New Zealand is playing good cricket. You can not ignore the Pakistan team as well. I will totally ignore English team. May be they will play good cricket but I doubt they will be able to lift the trophy. My bet is for India so far. |

This looks like another low scoring match like the last match at the moment. Australia are slowly gathering wickets while Kohli is the only batsman standing strong for the n'th freaking time.
Vijay is doing well in supporting Kohli, but a strong partnership is required now in order to reach somewhere close to 250 or higher.
I think the score will be 280+. India lost another wicket unfortunately. Funny how things turned. 250+ runs now low scoring in ODI cricket. There used to be time when 240 - 250 was very good total to win a match. Anyway, there is another ODI between Afghanistan vs Ireland. Afghanistan scored so far 155 after 38.3 over and lost 5 wickets. This might be another low scoring match. Between these two matches my picks are India and Afghanistan. |

Hah, yes, I totally agree with you. Shoaib Malik played an awfully slow inning yet again in this match, just like he did in previous matches of this tournament. This behavior of the Sultans captain is the reason why the team is at the bottom in the ranking right now, simply awful.
Sultans are done with about 17 overs and have succeeded in scoring a mere hundred till now. Kings are probably going to win this one!
I was expecting better game from Sultans but Shoaib's strategy is questionable here. I have seen in other match he did the same thing. The team scored around 93 runs in 10 or 11 over I think then he came and played a very slow game that in the next 5/6 overs they did not score significant run. I think Shoaib was a bad choice for Multan. |

@Usman Shinwari is on target for Kings just 7 balls and 2 wickets look like Multan players mentally out of this league body language is also not good and Kings also in attacking mood as they still have chance for qualifiers.
I am not sure what Malik is doing. Whats the point to score a 50 wasting 75+ balls (hypothetically)? It's a T20 and the power play was just wasted. They scored 36 runs by losing 2 wickets. Shame. |

Quetta Gladiators just had a very easy match. Shane Watson 91 runs from only 55 balls and Ahmed Shehzad's 50 gave the easy win for Quetta. Next match Karachi Kings vs Multan Sultans. Multan is already out from the tournament however my pick for this match will be Multan.

India was never good at bowling. Whatever they gained, most of the time, they gained with their batting. Pakistan and Srilanka is/was once totally bowling depended team from subcontinent. On the other hand, Australia, SA, England all of these country have both side strong. Anyway, India has the benefits of having a great batting line up.
But from last few years Indian bowling attack is not that bad like it used to. Before Indian bowling attack used to depend on how Javagal Srinath perform, Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh. They used to be more of Batsman based team but now they have very good balance in betting and bowling side. I don't think India has anything less not to win this world cup. |

If I am not wrong then from my observation all these days I guess Raja is from Pakistan and JSRAW is from India. So there will be subjective views by each others from your own life experience however one thing is very sure for me. Cricket is a religion in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
