When it comes to world cup finals, India and Australia battled only once in the finals in 2003 and they smashed the Indian bowlers all around the park mainly Ricky Ponting and that was the case with Pakistan in the finals in 1999, they smashed them and they won without much fight and the 2007 world cup was the most boring tournament i have seen and Australia defeated Srilanka in the finals.
Thanks for the information. Somehow my memory tricked me. I was thinking there were more than even two final between Australia and India.

What an awesome way to start of this IPL season! Chennai Super Kings are playing in Chennai after several years due to bans and controversies which is why the stadium will be packed with a legion of Chennai fans supporting their team.

The last 3 matches which you mentioned were truly close indeed. Luck simply favored Chennai here. I am expecting Chennai to win today primarily due to their lineup.
I just seen in the cable tv, the stadium is already packed. People are already chanting Dhoni Dhoni. I already risked some money for CSK knowing they will win. And I hope they will have an easy win.

By the way, I have decided to open this pool for everyone. Now free to join. The pool already has 0.005BTC So whoever wins they will be able to earn some free BTC.

Well, someone have to ask this newb question:
What is so special in this address and how can I figure out that it is a burn address?
What are those burn addresses are used for? And why da fuck you are so proud of owning one of them?
I think burn address is an address which have no access of it's private key. I mean no one has it's private key. Have a read here:

Quote
Likewise any bitcoin sent to a “burn” address are also forever unspendable. A bitcoin burn address is like an impossible vanity address. There is no private key to a burn address and one would be impossible to generate.

he is the head of the Bank of International Settlements (BIS), he said that crypto is a bubble and a Ponzi scheme that can create environmental damage. he also said that crypto does not have a positive potential to be a currency.
he also told and influence to the youth to stop creating money. he also said that the Bank provides electronic payment instruments for the future instead of crypto.
please share your opinion on this topic here!
Let him say the BSs. Who know and understand crypto they do not care about what they said.

It's obvious that crypto rise will harm the traditional banking system. If traditional banking system does not exists then governments will have less power. So banks combined with government will always try to stop Bitcoin and other crypto currencies.

Guys, IPL starts in around an hour.

Chennai Super Kings is going to take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai.

Here is the head to head of last all matches in between these two teams.

Notice the latest three matches were really close.
8207  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Need a little help to understand Electrum on: March 23, 2019, 10:02:17 AM
addresses are generated according to a sequence. each address has an index number for example 0,1,2 etc. electrum generates new addresses such that if you were to arrange your addresses in ascending order of index number you would have at least 20 unused receive addresses at the end of your wallet. that number 20 is called the gap limit. the gap limit for change addresses is 6 and functions similarly.

for example you start a new wallet and you have 20 receive and 6 change addresses. you use address with index 18 (19th in the list) to receive bitcoin. electrum will generate 19 new addresses starting with index 20 so now you have 39 receive addresses  and 6 change ones.
Ok now it started to make sense. Thank you very much.

All those days I was wondering what if I use all these 20 addresses? Finally it gives me the answer that I can use as many address as I want from a wallet that was generated using Electrum.

+2 merit for you bud

Cheers :-)
8208  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Need a little help to understand Electrum on: March 23, 2019, 09:25:46 AM
it'll automatically create new addresses as you start receiving money to new ones.  all addresses are generated from your seed.
Yh, it looks like that it is generating new addresses but I was not aware that it does when it starts receiving coins.

Is there any ratio like x:y?
I mean what is the algorithm to generate new addresses?
8209  Bitcoin / Electrum / Need a little help to understand Electrum on: March 23, 2019, 08:21:08 AM
When I created a wallet using Electrum I noticed there were 26 addresses including the change addresses. I created this Electrum wallet long ago. Other day I noticed the addresses there became 33. There are some new addresses there which were not in the first place.

My question is that how does an Electrum wallet generate new address?

I hope my question makes good sense and does not sound stupid. Recently I am learning a lot about Bitcoin wallet since I have started to run my own full node. It's fun by the way.

Cheers :-)

Lol. What? Cricket is one of the most famous international sports in the world. You need to improve your knowledge regarding Cricket buddy. For example:

https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/what-are-the-most-popular-sports-in-the-world.html

Not really famous out of India? Lol. Cricket is famous among many countries around the world like India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa etc and don't judge this amazing sport due to the low interest for it in this forum.

I think in this forum there are not many people who are cricket fans that is why we see the low interest. I completely on the same page like you. Cricket is one of the most playing sports after Football. It's not my word but the numbers published worldwide.

Quote
Cricket has a 2.5 billion person estimated global following, and its primary sphere of influence is in the United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries. The cradle of the sport was the 16th Century England and it was made a national sport in the 18th Century in the country. The sport is characterized by two teams of eleven players each, where each team attempts to score the most runs. The sport is overwhelmingly popular in former British colonies such as India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Australia.

According to you, number 2 in a World cup tournament is nothing special which I completely disagree with. Anyone who underestimates New Zealand are fooling themselves especially with their current lineup.
The current New Zealand team is a strong team and their captain is one of the smartest captain in recent cricketing teams. If Dhoni, Steve Waugh, Arjuna Ranatunga were/are cool headed smart captains then Kane Williamson is one of them (It's my opinion by the way). So in this world cup New Zealand is not a Dark Horse or Underdog. They are as favourite as India or Australia. May be the history is not with them that is why we are not highlighting them much.

South Africa will always be a formidable side to beat no matter how many times they choke or lose. Australia will always be the team to beat, but the current team is nowhere as amazing as the previous Australian lineups.
Australia had their best team when Steve Waugh and Pointing was their captain.

This is a warning.

Whenever you will find anyone is asking to deposit first to withdraw then consider it as a warning of scam attempt.  I have seen several cases like this in fake gambling sites. I the scam accusations board you will find some if you look for but I did not have idea that now people moved to exchange concept too.

You should not give them a penny.

Logically, there are no valid reason to deposit first to withdraw whatever you have with any site.

Back to the pool thing, yes I realise now. This idea is dead because of no interested cricket fans. I may continue even if this is one person and also pay minerjones his escrow fees.

Sorry to hear that, you have worked in it well but the result is not what you expected. Probably you need to do something like a vote for interest first, ask who are willing to join the prediction pool. If there are many interest then you can start it but if there is less interest then you may change the event. Find the most favorite event first.
I did some pre input before from users in this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5113733.msg49895124#msg49895124

Including me there were 4 members interested but as we can see they lost interest I assume. No big deal. This is the last day and I will wait if anyone joins.

If I do not see anyone then I may open this pool free for everyone. The initial money I sent will work as a prize for the winners. I know it's too little but joining a free pool which has potential to win 40% of 0.005BTC would not be a bad thing, I guess :-)

Cricket as a sport is not really that famous outside of India
I disagree.

It's not only in India but in Australia, England, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka if I am not wrong. I have no idea about Match fixing in Dark Web. Whatever I am doing here is for fun LOL not to make money at all :-)

Completely possible. That would be an epic final indeed. Both Australian and Indian teams are in great form at present and the upcoming IPL season should boost their form to greater heights.
I would love to hear everyone's pick for final if it turns out to be an Australia Vs India final. I can not remember how many Australia Vs India finals we have seem but I feel it was more than once?
8215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 23, 2019, 06:35:28 AM
Let me tell you how lucky I was yesterday LOL

I had this bet 6 fold:
Two in two cricket match: Straight win (won)
Osaka, Naomi - Wickmayer, Yanina: Osaka (won)
Raonic, Milos - Marterer, Maximilian: Raonic (match void)
Kenin, Sofia - Andreescu, Bianca Vanessa : Andreescu (My new girl after Bencic and won)
Thiem, Dominic - Hurkacz, Hubert : Thiem (This is where I was lucky)

After winning all the above there were some long time to start Thiem match. The odd for the fold was 8+ initially but after the void match the new odd was 7.02. So obviously they offers a good amount in return to cash out and I cashed out without waiting for Thiem match.

Then I used some of the winning and placed another bet combined with:

Thiem, Dominic - Hurkacz, Hubert : Thiem
Bencic, Belinda - Putintseva, Yulia : Bencic (I can not just resist myself when I see Bencic is in the pitch. Same goes with Thiem and that Canadian girl)
Sonego, Lorenzo - Isner, John : Isner (it was in play at the time I placed the bet)
Djokovic, Novak - Tomic, Bernard : Djokovic
Albot, Radu - Federer, Roger : Federer

I woke up in the morning and found out Thiem lost! Also Bencic lost unfortunately.

But here is where I am lucky. In my first bet if I would wait for Thiem instead of settling with cash out then I would lose all the money that they offered. I really feel lucky that I cashed out.

That's true but you can't deny the fact that Australia is playing good cricket these days. All of their batsman are in form and having goof scores. Their top order is now the best one. Australia is going to have a better result in world than I thought.
After seeing yesterday's performance and performance of last few matches I think the WC final will be in between Australia and India. Anyone can win the cup however I would like to see India win it.

For some reason Aussies lifting trophy became boring for me :-)

Aussie has come from the series Win with India recently and they are all pumped up, willing to win again. However the Pakistan team has faced a lost in their recent series with Newzealand and South Africa, so they have to plan up well in other to beat the in form Aussie team.
I don't think Pakistan would win the match yesterday even if they scored 350+ runs. The run chase looked too easy for Aussies. I tell you what, in this series earning from betting will be easy.

Take yesterday's match as example. Before match the odd for Australia was 1.86 or something. When the game was in progress and Pakistan were batting well the odd was even 2.68 for Australia. I was able to pick the odd when it was 2.30 or something. I did not see the final odd after the Pakistan innings but I am sure the odd might cross 3+ for Australia.

So, here is what my strategy I will follow in this series...
It's obvious that Pakistan will lose the matches (may be one win).

- I will bet some (if the odd is good) before the match starts for Aussies just to make sure that when the game starts and Aussies do well then I do not lose the initial odd.

- I will wait to see Pakistan is doing well. The odd goes up for Aussies. When I find a better odd in play then I risk more for Aussies.

I will see how it goes :-P

You do realize that India defeated Australia and New Zealand in their own backyards and created history recently, don't you? Australia did win the recent ODI and T20 series, but that in no way means that they are better than India at present.

I don't agree with any of your ratings and a number is not enough to judge a team overall which is why I don't really care about ratings in this aspect.
In the last series against Australia India were experimenting their line up. As a result they lost the ODIs. I  do not think it measures that Australia is better team than them.

India is the most favourite in this world cup.

Australia on the road to victory and they have wickets in hand and they will easily win the match, South Africa posted a good total and Srilanka already lost 2 wickets and it is a difficult task for them to overcome if they keep on loosing wickets.
Aussies are going to have an easy win I can see. 242 and only lost 2 wickets. 8 wickets in hand and they need 39 runs from 37 balls. The job is very easy for them.

Good thing that Pakistan scored but it was not enough.

But still I have a feeling Australians can still come back to the match strongly and can win this.
The key thing for Pakistan now is to not lose quick wickets
You are right. Team like Australia don't give up easily. Even if the target is over 400 runs they go after it. But Pakistan has good bowling side. So it will be interesting to see the match.

Agree Oz don't throw match easily. Let's Bet on it Cheesy if any team make 400 runs against Australia in this year ( forget about this match Cheesy) Australia going to lose the match.
Saying is easy but risking money is something else ;-P

Pakistan had good bowling attack. It's proven by history and in-fact this team has some very good blowers. I don't know the new guy who is 18. I think he is playing today. He can make a difference.

Edit: It's Mohammad Hasnain. I checked and he is not playing. I thought they took him for this series?
