881  Economy / Speculation / Re: $30000 is becoming the resistant price on: July 20, 2023, 08:24:45 AM

This has been my fear, seeing 30k being a resistance instead of support. While the bitcoin price was sliding downwards from the range of 31k, I knew it will settle somewhere in 30k as usual. But it made further move to penetrate below 30k. When I noticed that moved, I checked the chart and saw that it will not last for long. I only gave it 48hrs to know our true direction.

As I type, the price is back above 30k at somewhere in $30,202. If the price stays above 30k for few more days we will be certain that our 30k support is regained.
882  Economy / Speculation / Re: $31450 proves too strong for Buyers, but Sellers may only dominate below $29400 on: July 19, 2023, 09:33:53 AM

For this, I believe a daily close above the level ($31450) will activate a strong bullish trend, while a break and daily close below $29400 might pressure the market.
There is alot of consolidation from 16th June till now and when the consolidation became too obvious, it was certain that it was time for the price to move. Many people predicted that it will move upwards, others predicted downwards but the market decided to move upwards and almost reversed immediately.

It is now very certain that a strong resistance is formed at$31k and this resistance is trying to be more powerful than the support at 30k.
883  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I avoid and identify scams? on: July 19, 2023, 08:57:56 AM
Every scam project has the quality of scam and we all know what a scam looks like but the difference is that scam is dynamic and that is why scammers succeed because they keep inventing and reinventing scamming strategies.
Maybe below could be some signs of a scam project;
  • When the project team does not have a face
  • When their is no clear road map
  • When the website is hastily built
  • Plagerised whitepaper
  • When they emphasize on staking even being new
Etc. These and many more are the things you look upto when trying a new project.
884  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why non-trader beginners prefer to leave their BTC on CEX? on: July 19, 2023, 08:35:41 AM
Answer is easy because they think its more convenient for them to leave their balances on exchange since they could able to trade it easily when a time they need to use those exchange. Although this is dangerous because we know hacking issue on exchange exist but this is reality since its also hard to transact especially when the feed is so high. We just need to be aware that we should not do it on huge balance and only those small ones where we can afford to lose since the risk of losing still there.
The question in OP said non-trading beginners. So, we should assume the  beginners are not traders and yet they leave their funds on the CEX.
On the contrary, I have a question. If expert traders can leavehuge funds on exchange for trading purposes, why new comers cannot leave few dollars?
I am not saying that leaving funds on the exchanges is a good habit but then while choosing an exchange try to chose a reputable one that is not winding up tomorrow, so that you will not kill yourself because you forgot to transfer out your money.
Exchanges should be used as Exchanges and not as a personal wallet.
885  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Subsidy removal and all you need to know on: July 19, 2023, 08:13:00 AM

Below na some reviews wey The Punch Newspaper been do with people using this gas to power generator & I screenshot am from their website

This gas -> generator solution is not really sustainable. This is Nigeria and what may seem like a solution is only a short term relief. The price of gas itself is going up like fuel is.

The gas solution sef dey fear me. E dey do me like time bomb but as e don be now, e don red, everybody go enter into the gas conversion something. This government wan show Nigerians shege, but God no go shame us.

Wetin dey sup?

Why the price high again, abi na because of the 8k President say him go give people abi na wetin? Make e no be say this price dey target 1k o

In my opinion, this is only the beginning. Things would continue to get bad and it would escalate very fast. Nigeria was already hard, taking off the fuel subsidy was a big no no. Because there was nothing to fall back on with - Bad economy, amongst other problems.

Senior man, na this government wey just talk say make nobody suffocate the poor, but now na dem hold the poor for neck. I no too understand wetin dey happen for this country.
886  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Youths Becoming Reluctant to Marry on: July 18, 2023, 12:21:11 PM
My papa tell me say for their time, before you reach 25, you done already marry or about to. But today, 30 self never put marriage as priority. Plenty good reasons dey sha o but some their reasons no reason enough to be single at certain age.
Maybe in Southern part. Go to North and see the difference. It has been estimated that by 2050, Nigeria population could surpass 1 billion if they continue to reproduce the way they are reproducing and nothing changed till now. More population are coming from the Northern part and they marry fast. Especially their females.

Boss man, their men too dey marry early o...our gateman for Lagos wey I dey show steady love to make sure him feed well already have 3 wives at home. The day I hear the gist, I shock. Him younger brother wey dey follow him squat for the gate man house don already marry two. The gist no gree enter my head but na truth be that.

Some of those guys from the North get different mentality, believe and approach to life. E no easy shaa
887  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Subsidy removal and all you need to know on: July 18, 2023, 11:38:50 AM
Wetin dey sup?

I just enter social media today wetin I dey see wey dey trend na petrol @617 naira. I no too understand the gist. At the time wey people dey expect say price of petrol go find way drop, na em de price dey high more?
Although I never confirm for filling station because I never commot since morning. Anybody don confirm for station?

Why the price high again, abi na because of the 8k President say him go give people abi na wetin? Make e no be say this price dey target 1k o
888  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: July 18, 2023, 08:55:06 AM
I don't care what a long-dead rapper said:

Now tell me, how do you explain those headlines from this past Thursday?  Is the US government lying?  Is the media lying?
Someone living in the States is at the best position to say what is happening in the States. You acknowledged that the inflation was much sometimes ago but now everything seems to be under control. That is a welcome development.
In my country Nigeria, if the government makes effort to fix one part of the economy, the other part will be affected. It seems we are just wandering.
But then I do not believe everything I see on the media. The government works close with the media to filter and sensor the information that will be given the public. I have seen it in most times where the media is saying one thing and another is happening in the real life.
889  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do when you have Financial Freedom? on: July 18, 2023, 08:36:12 AM
Financial Freedom

This question of yours is simple but has deep interpretation. When man has done so many kinds of jobs and in the end he meets financial freedom, what is he gonna do?
Some people will;
  • Continue to invest
  • Stop investing
  • Start a new life
But in all what matters is what you like most (your passion). When you are financially fulfilled, you will stop chasing money and start chasing your happiness.
When my financial freedom will come then i want to retire from my job. And i want to give my time for my family. And i want to travel world wide. Financial freedom is a man's dream. I really want that freedom.  It doesn't always work out for everyone. If it happen in my life i will go different country to gather knowledge. And i will retire from my job. But i want to continue earn for avoid future crisis. I will invest some good currency for long time hold to get good profit. Our life is not too long so i also want to help poor people. I always feel proud to help poor people. So i will do that if i get chance in my life.
I quote your statement you said financial freedom doesn't come for everyone but you pray it happens to you. I want you to understand something that there is no benchmark of wealth someone will attain and it will be said that the person is financially free. The standard differs among different people.
  • To some people, financial freedom could be when they cannot account for how many properties, investment or money they have. They do not think before they spend
  • To some, financial freedom is when they can afford to buy whatever thing they wish to buy in life
  • While some will say they are financially free if they own a home, a few cars and able to provide for the family
Humans are insatiable, so financial freedom is subjective.
890  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you expect to go to Heaven, when finished here on Earth? on: July 15, 2023, 06:33:53 AM
Hi all, here is a two part question:

Do you believe in Heaven?
and,
Do you expect to go to Heaven, when finished here on Earth?

I do not know how all these lies theories came into existence. There are so many different believes and all these believes are attached to religion.

I believe there is no where in the atmosphere or benight the earth called heaven where one being called God is seated on a throne watching what is happening in the world. If there be Heaven it should be the presence of a supreme being called God. Then who is God?
Maybe Jesus was God, Mechisedec was God, Olumba is God and then wherever these being are is automatically called Heaven. This is my personal understanding and it is debatable.
891  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you handle borrowers? on: July 14, 2023, 07:49:57 AM
The trick is to dress like a homeless person and drive an old car, then nobody asks you for money. It works for me pretty well. Although I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be able to pull that off given my desire for a Tesla. I wouldn’t call people borrowers though. You should never loan money to friends or family, only give it to them.
Buy a Tesla and coat the exterior like an old car Grin
It is true that when you don't show up, people wouldn't know how much you worth and they will not come asking for financial assistance.
This has done me bad thanks good that my money in people's had is much. They don't return at due time and I also do not have the ability to take extreme measures in order to reclaim my money and that is where my problem lies.

What I have implemented is what Jerome Tash said, I don't lend anymore. I give what I am able to lose and I do not expect refund.
892  Economy / Economics / Re: Food Crisis - Improved, Worsen or still the same in your country (No Change)? on: July 14, 2023, 07:27:27 AM

Sourch img: m.bisnis.com
In the country where I work, the food crisis has really been resolved. everything is back to normal.Even though the food crisis is over but although food prices are still high and have not come back down.
I do not understand what you meant by food crisis. How do you mean that food crises has been resolved in your country but the price of food is still high. I think food crises should be when the prices of food is high that the common man cannot afford it.

Drastic change! So sad that our country is strugling. Eventhough our country are crops producer still we are importing some goods loke sugar, rice etc. I know that this because of the domino effect of what is happening to the world, but mostly my countrymen are striving everyday just to survive a day.
Food crises is hitting almost every country but it is worse in countries that produce raw materials and export them to outside countries for further processing to food. That is the height of it. My country is known for producing cocoa but we do not produce single Bournville. That is how bad it is.
893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time for bounties and airdrops as we near bull season on: July 14, 2023, 06:47:03 AM
Bounties and airdrops, of course, depend on the market situation, when the market rises, many new projects also skyrocket, and in my opinion the current bounty conditions can still provide earnings, even though it's small.
Although the early cryptocurrency Alactivities were characterized with bounty activities and bounty was effective as at them and many people made fortunes from the token given them by the start-ups. But as time traveled the benefits that came with bounty reduced and many people did not regard bounty again.

But one major thing that happens with bitcoin bull run is that it gives new project environment to strive and when those project begin to succeed their tokens will be valuable. So this is a great opportunity to begin to look for genuine project to promote for people that likes bounty.

I don’t think it’s wise to judge Mount's performance based on yesterday’s preseason game alone. I did watched the match and I could tell that he had a good game. Mount was also able to launch Manchester United’s attacks from deep at every opportunity, and produced an exquisite pass to Amad Diallo which led to the best chance of the first half. We are yet to see him play with the big boys and I know what he’s capable of doing when the time comes.

Exactly, to be fair we cant judge a player with 1 to few matches only. We should all give players more times to show how good they are, I can even say that half of a season is still not enough to judge how good a player is especially if the player is a new comer in the team. Adaptation needs time and every player may have different speed to adapt with the new team. Some may adapt quickly but some others may a bit slow.

I am not confident with Mount in Manchester United. I have never seen him as the type of player Manchester United needs. There is absolutely what he can do that Bruno will not do more than him.
Talking about yesterday's match, I didn't view the whole match but the highlights that I watched in YouTube showed that Mount misplaced so many important passes.
Mount will find it difficult in Manchester United and considering the number 7 jersey given him, that is a time bomb. He would have rejected I because the pressure will be high on him.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 13, 2023, 08:00:14 AM
If Mabbpe doesn't want to play in this team they should get him out of the team and take benefits from this player by selling Mbappe with a high price to other teams because none can force a player to stay in PSG.
Even by paying him more money still keeping Mbappe is PSG a wrong move because other players are going to be happy for paying too much attention to one player and this can make the team unbalanced.
Selling Mbappe at too high a price will also not make other teams more interested in bidding for him this summer. But if the price is in a very reasonable category, I think there will definitely be many other teams interested in offering Mbappe in the current transfer market. Moreover, he (Mbappe) is a very good forward line player to break his opponent's defense and even if Mbappe wants to move to another team instead of having to stay at PSG, he also cannot choose a random team if he still wants his career to get better.
Mbappe and PSG drama has been lingering and it may continue this way and by next season we might still see Mbappe in the PSG team. Mbappe is truly no longer interested in staying in PSG and also PSG is no longer comfortable with PSG presence.

What the two parties need is a landing conclusion and resolution but if PSG does not force it, that agreement will be delayed. Mbappe is so much self centred about his career and ambition than anyone's else.

Quote from: Sexylizzy2813
Chelsea are really having a great transfer window, selling some of their key players especially those ones who played a key role in winning the UCL and getting enough cash to spend too. It seems Pochettino is trying to give the fans a brown new Chelsea first 11 and it could turn out to be the best decision for  the board or should I say the owner to allow the coach to go for any player he wants in the transfer window. While they (Chelsea) shipping out players I feel is going to be a little bit of a problem if they don't get those replacement early enough before the start of the new campaign it might be a bigger problem. Can they even survive or do much better without some of those players?

I think, the new Chelsea coach is a talented coach and he will definitely use the money well if Chelsea president give him the opportunity to bring in potential players in this summer, I believe he will bring in Mbappe and Victor Osimhen to ensure Chelsea strikers are well balance next season. Based on the new moved of Chelsea to sell some of their old players in this summer showed that they need good players that can handle those position very well in a way the team can withstand any strong teams in the premier league competition and other competitions next season. It will be difficult for Chelsea to achieve poor result next season because the opportunity for the new players to showcase their skills in the team is there for them.
At any given opportunity I see some people mentioned that Chelsea wil sign Kylian Mbappe and Victor Osimhen at the same time. This alway get me thinking how a Balon dor dreamer like Mbappe will agree to come to England, even if he agrees why do you think it will be Chelsea he will go? I mean why not;
Manchester city,
Arsenal,
Manchester United,
Newcastle United.
Kylian Mbappe I know will not play in a club who is not competing in the Europe.
898  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I waste bitcoin on: July 13, 2023, 06:30:52 AM

Do you mean N100k equals 10k$? I'm not from Nigeria, and I don't know how big or small the amount is, but if what you explained is true. Yes, I don't want to offend, but I will call him a liar, and this story is fictitious. Although at the time, I didn't know if anyone had invested such a large amount in bitcoin, the fact that someone who knows nothing about bitcoin could risk investing such a large amount is fabricated. Moreover, how could he lose such a large amount of money so easily and without any safe storage method?
N100k is not in any way close to $10k, $10k is much more higher. But as at 2011 that was mentioned in OP, N100k was very high and valuable. The value of N100k then should be about $1k in value for now.
I decided to burst the OP because their lie was so dumb and the choice of date mentioned in OP made it very obvious that the whole story was purely fabricated. Next time he should consider to say the truth because there’s no award for who made the most shity lying post.[/s]
899  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: You Can now convert dollar to Naira in your GTB Internet banking platform on: July 12, 2023, 09:10:07 AM
If GTB wan do wetin go make much sense and get praised of, make them add the conversion of naira to dollar, make em no be from dollar to naira only.
If they can succeed in doing that(naira to dollar conversion), make we see whether people no go rush to open banks with them, for an easy conversion of their naira money to dollar.
GTB knows wetin go happen soonest, sae dollar go fit increase to 1k naira against a dollar. If them go fit gather much dollar from people, them don dey on profits be that.

You don already talk why GTB no go make provision to convert from naira to dollar.
  • If them do am as the economy never stable, plenty people go wan save for dollar and the thing go further crash naira
  • Another thing be say GTB dey hod people dollar because dem know say e go surely rise for future
But anyhow wey e be, I dey admire GTB for anything for get to do with international trade. I remember when I been set up forex trading account with them and I was funding it with euros. The bank dey try shaa
900  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigerian crypto tax move is ‘premature’ — Local stakeholders on: July 12, 2023, 08:44:48 AM
Well I see Nigeria government as very weak in Cryptocurrency matters dem no no the important of di crypto things in the country. Nigeria would have been the first country in Africa to adopt, accept and regulate cryptocurrency but they are Sceptical about the technology. The ministry of technology and the ministry finance would have work Hand in hand to achieve their new development in the world. But the ministry of technology is ill staff so they don't even understand the stuff. Nigeria is the Cryptocurrency giant in Africa yet Namibia has done their regulation and South Africa is doing their at the end of the year. These are good examples.
Nigerian government corrupt and lacks digitalisation, especially the government wey just pass. Dem no get any 21st century agenda for the country. Rather they are always threatened by anything that want to compete with NAIRA.
They do not want anything that will happen to their dear naira. If they lack money, they will find it difficult to mint cryptocurrency but it will not be difficult for them to print more naira into their pocket.

This is the reason they became blind to the opportunities cryptocurrency brought to the table. Upon say crypto transaction dey illegal for the country, adoption still high. Imagine say everything dey legit and regulated. Africa for troop full Nigeria for cryptocurrency sake.
