If ever Powell will be sidelined again, there's no choice for the Dragons but to play without an import if the game will be extended to the final series game.

As part of the agreement with the league and as I mentioned before, there's no chance for Nicholson to come back if Powell will be back on the roster.

2 possible games left for them and I think that shouldn't be a big deal as they really need all the reinforcement they can get from their import.

Can the Kings slay the Dragons tonight? Tough question but i think we will have a game 7 if we follow the trend.

One of the big reasons why I avoid and skip the per-game betting here in our place is because every game is really unpredictable.

Even though I'm rooting for Ginebra to win, the Dragons won't surely allow making things easy for Ginebra. Can't wait to watch the game.

I think Steph Curry is playing today. It was said this may be the first time they will play as a complete team. That may be the reason for the exaggerated odds. -12.5 for a profitable bet. Steph's return is hyped.  Grin

Yes, it's officially confirmed by several reliable sources that Steph Curry will return against the handicapped Phoenix Suns.

Aside from the Warriors now playing with their main guy [/i]today, the reason for too much underdog odds for the Phoenix Suns is because of the absence of their key players, Devin Booker, DeAndre Ayton (questionable), Chris Paul, etc. And I was surprised here that there is a total of 8 Suns players that might not be available for their tonight's game.

Damn, who else was left there? lol. No wonder they are currently facing a worst 1-10 record on their 10 last games.
883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman won $43million but was offered a steak dinner instead of her winnings on: January 10, 2023, 11:32:14 PM
Isn't this just the stupidest reason not to give her her winnings?
Couldn't they have known that their so-called machine was faulty before letting gamblers use it?
How could they do this to her?

Obviously, our first impression would be "that was a lame and stupid fuc*ing reason!"

However, according to the article, the New York State Gaming Commission itself claimed that the machine really malfunctioned after the series of checking. I think before having that kind of judgment and conclusion, their respective technical staffs take a look at the said malfunctioning machine.

But one thing makes me curious, why there's a disclaimer that if the machine got fuc*ked up, all winnings will be voided? It seems that it's an easy escape goat and can be used as a reason not to give those winnings once the machine gives some big winnings. Aside from that, why it was allowed to put some machines there where there's a chance that they can possibly malfunction why actively used?

But it seems that the case is now settled as per the article, the court already gives the judgment on that case.
884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 10, 2023, 11:23:45 PM
This is what I am always confused with.
Does a lower-weight champion (Inoue for this example) need to fight a higher seed (Marlon Tapales) in the upper class before he can challenge the champion (let's say Murodjon Akhmadaliev)?

Either:

a) mandated fight ordered by a boxing council
b) promoter's pick/choice

In the case of Inoue, he can go directly with the champions at 122 lbs but most part of the final decision will depend on his promoter, Bob Arum.

However, as far as my current view regarding that is concerned, seems Arum won't put his Japanese cash cow into a title fight yet once moved up.

Who knows though?
885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we really make a living in sports betting? on: January 10, 2023, 11:17:22 PM
I heard lots of stories online that there are people who are making a living in sports betting, and honestly it really inspires me that's why I'm still gambling now. So I'm just curious, do we have members of the forum here that are making a living in sports betting? Can they share some inputs on how to be successful like them?

I hope they will share so we will know if it's really possible. I mean, as the saying goes, casinos always win because they have the advantage, so how come people are making a living in sports betting?

In the first place, you won't encounter those stories you are referring to if the possibility to make a living in sports betting is just a hoax.

I doubt that those people who were able to achieve that status is lurking here in the forum.

My question is, does it really matter to know? What we should prioritize is to just keep our winning stats as consistent as possible. Who knows that someday, you will also reach that status where your capability is really can consider on a professional level.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 09, 2023, 11:52:36 PM
Yeah, that fact will not change until the trade and draft situations will change. SMC and MVP teams are always taking the advantage of it while the other teams that don't have any plans of winning are becoming their farm teams. It's not just the fans are aware of it and even the other teams and coaching staff are aware of it but they can't speak ill against the management because for sure Al and Marcial will give them a notice and will call them to their office. LOL

SMC and MVP only have the power to spend big money on getting good players. We can't blame the independent teams if they are left behind. As for players, why they will stick to these independent teams if there are big offers from big companies? It just makes sense to think that SMC and MVP will always have the advantage.

But there is an independent team that is serious about building a legacy and they are the only ones that I see being active in furnishing their roster.

I'm referring to Converge and hope they will repeat they're good rally next conference and be able to find a good import in the Governors' Cup.
887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 09, 2023, 11:48:39 PM
I'm not sure there's any chance the Bulls actually trade their max-contract player, but that certainly would be interesting.  If they were to do this, I of course would hope that they traded Demar / Vuc etc.

Zach LaVine's name was put on the rumor list during the time the Bulls were not performing well and LaVine itself is having inconsistency in his game.

Now that out of nowhere, he regain his confidence and began doing monster stats during their recent games, I'm not sure if that changed the decision of trading him (if there's really an original plan of trading him).

If that is so, if there's any trading plan, not just for LaVine, I don't want DeRozan to be traded as he was the most consistent player on their roster so far, winning or losing a game. Well then, let's wait until the trade deadline.
888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 09, 2023, 11:43:36 PM
PBC is just new to boxing and is less than 10 years of operations but it already destroyed and prevented a lot of big fights. PBC prevented us from seeing the huge AJ vs Wilder clash when they were both undefeated and the winner could've been the first-ever undisputed heavyweight in this 4-belt era. PBC also didn't respond nor sent counter-offers to Bob Arum of Top Rank in order to stage Crawford vs Spence for the welterweight undisputed belts. There are too many potential fights I can mention but these 2 are the biggest and could've been historic fights if PBC is cooperative and not scared and selfish.

As you mentioned, primarily focused on the business side instead of anything related to legacy. Agree with you.

However, who's the one/s that needs to be blamed strongly for big fights unable to materialize?

It's a sad reality but the boxer themselves is just cooperating with these networks and promoters, because for the obvious reason that they receive benefits and advantages that aren't present if they decided not to be under by any firms.

Well, they don't have that much leverage to make a choice about their career because they won't be reaching anywhere far enough if they will be flying solo without the help of promoters, hence, why they are called promoters in the first place. They are the ones who will get the boxer their fight and if not, will pull some strings to make a fight happen that will help them towards their career. In the end, it will be a blaming game for them if there's a fight that they are avoiding. We just don't know who's afraid, is it the boxer or the promoter.

Mostly it is the promoter that evades boxing deals since the boxer has no say about it.  They just train, sign, and fight.  All the processes of dealing are done by the manager and promoter.  The promoter is more focused on the money and how they can make their boxer records amazing making more value for the boxer's career.  Thus if the promoter thinks that their boxer has a huge tendency to lose the fight, the promoter declines the deal.  We can take an example ample on the early years of Ryan Garcia where he really wanted to fight Gervonta Davis but his promoter,  Oscar dela Hoya thinks he isn't ready for the fight yet thus not considering the fight against Davis during that time.

On the other hand, it's not just about avoiding their cash cow in a big fight that they think can't handle yet but boxers here are getting the advantage. Since they are considered cash cow, expect their promoters to do their best in taking care of them. The boxer involved will now decide if they will take that advantage or just purely decide on their own building their legacy.

In today's boxing, boxers need to be wise and try their best to build a legacy while having a good cash flow on their hands at the same time.

Stanley Pringle admits battling self-doubts amid knee trouble

This is what I like about Ginebra, some of their key players will just advance and step up surprisingly. Referring to Stanley Pringle, he is not much noticeable this playoff and Finals but here in Game 5, out of nowhere, he unleashes his best performance with 20 points.

There are still BGSM players that are still silent this Finals and hope they will soon surprise their fans with their usual performance.

Ginebra should not feel relaxed next game and do their best to finish the series next game.
890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In search of reselling tipsters group on: January 08, 2023, 11:59:32 PM
just like what Blawpaw suggested, better look for free tipster threads here in the forum just like his thread in soccer. actually in this discussion board, you can already read some threads discussing all sports and giving their opinions or insights. in that way, you can already get some hints or tips on who you want to bet with. as much as possible, bet on the sports you are most familiar with. so you can understand where those tips are coming from. don't trust telegram channels offering tips, most of them are just waste of time or money, if they want you to pay first.

Agree with. This forum is already a good source of free picks and bets. Lots of threads around here on specific sports and not just a free pick but rather with associated analyzation on every pick instead of just showing their bet.

I already told OP that something such service is not a trendy thing here that's why he might not get any good response.

However, maybe he already received some PMs about that so better be careful especially we are talking money here.
891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Cassino Continue With Wagering Requirements, If Abuse is Eliminated? on: January 08, 2023, 11:59:13 PM
3: what conditional do you think could perfectly replace the wagering requirement in a casino that will serve players' purposes and also protect the revenue of the casino

Let's see, maybe something like a deposit bonus tier? Wherein the more deposit the users made, the better the rewards they will get.

Or maybe a login bonus that I saw at some local online casinos. That way, users are not just gambling but rather getting small rewards on their login. It's good that there is small compensation everyday for being activie.

As for the revenue, gambling sites just need to have a proper and big bankroll. Regardless of any terms, if the bankroll is not enough, then that's a big problem.
892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Cassino Continue With Wagering Requirements, If Abuse is Eliminated? on: January 07, 2023, 11:54:56 PM
1: What is your opinion on casinos that offers wagering requirements on both deposit and bonuses?

Promotions and bonuses should be expected to have wagering requirements. That's not even a question.

Gambling sites won't give free money obviously. Users need to work on something fairly in order to get those bonuses.

2: what do you think, if all necessary security checks are up to 100% and Abuse is totally eliminated from casinos, do you think gambling sites will make a no wagering requirement on their bonuses?

I doubt. Especially for new gambling sites.

They might end up facing bankruptcy at the early stage if no such wagering requirements will be applied especially if there are lots of users who will gain the bonus. The wagering requirement is also necessary as users won't stay on that site if the bonus doesn't have any requirements. They need to do something for these players to stay for quite a long and that's the purpose of the wagering requirements.

The requirement will also trigger their users to deposit more just to achieve the bonus.
893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is The Gambling Industry Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market on: January 07, 2023, 11:46:07 PM
It would be fine if they kept a small amount of coins because you never know what will happen to the casino. It is true that we can avoid spending transaction fees which may be repeated many times, making some gamblers keep their coins in exchanges and casinos. And it will not affect the casino business by the impact on the exchange because gamblers will continue to gamble even though the market is as unstable as it is today. Moreover, gamblers also have a choice of many coins that they can use to gamble.

It's fine to think of the security of our assets but others should not make it to the point where it's now too much overreacting.

There's really nothing wrong with just keeping the winning money on the gambling site if there's still a plan to gamble for the next session. Of course, don't do that saving purposes in a gambling site (literally without gambling activity) as that was a terrible idea and I doubt there's really a person who will do that.

I'm sure those reputable gambling sites today won't do some sh*t especially the considered big ones already in the industry.

895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the maximum number of loosing streak possible in dice with 20%/5x win? on: January 07, 2023, 11:37:12 PM
I need to know maximum possible streak number without hitting 5x once?

On that part, I think we can't able to determine that as that was system-based.

Maybe if some part of the technical team of a certain gambling site will lurk here, they can give a much more accurate response to your concern.

Not sure about these but maybe you can ask directly the site thru their contact information and who knows they might give you information regarding that.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 07, 2023, 11:34:19 PM
Will they play Nicholson in game 5? I think that's a very important game for them, so if Nicholson could already play, that would help them improve their chance of winning. However, if we are talking of game rigging here, then that is not important anymore as either team could win even without their import as long as the calls are on their favor.

Can we set aside the rigged or manipulation part? As far as my latest observation since watching right from Game 1, there might be questionable calls but that is something not that big issue to consider. The whole game of this series for me is still fair and square.

No update yet if Nicholson will play in Game 5 and the Dragons should wisely decide on their move regarding that.

According to the agreement with the league, if Nicholson will be replaced by Powell, there's no chance for him to get on board again once the latter got injured again. It's either they will play without an import or get Nicholson ready if he's fit to play. As of now, I doubt Powell is 100% recovered now since if he's really ready in action now, the Dragons will use him instead.

Well then, let's wait for the update later on.
897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If Luck Was Measured In Percentage, Rate Your Luck In 2022 From 0-100 on: January 07, 2023, 11:28:33 PM
It will be almost impossible for me to know the exact percentage of my luck when it comes to gambling. But I can give an estimate of last year's wins compared to the losses. Based in all my bets in year 2022 I will say that my luck percentage when it comes to gambling is not more than 30%  I don't frequently gamble though but whenever I do most times I do loss my bet.

Obviously, there's no way to determine the exact percentage of our luck. That is beyond our control.

The estimation will do for the purpose of sharing information with others. Smiley

I see most people having a percentage more than 60% I'm curious to what strategies do they employ when gambling do they have certain factors that they consider that increases the probability of them winning the bet.

No explanation or strategy. It's just that these users are really lucky - referring to luck-based games (usually online casino games).

If we refer to sports betting, then aside from luck, their ability to make a good analysis plays a big role in why they have a good winning rate.
898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Gambling Slang and Terms that Beginners Should be Aware of on: January 07, 2023, 11:24:20 PM

Actually, some of the terms listed aren't really mandatory to learn. Only those words that always encounter in a newbie's everyday gambling life. Some of the terms are not even present and applicable to the same type of gambling.

As OP mentioned, eventually these terms are being learned. Just continue to gamble responsibly.

This is a good reference for newbies who are struggling and having a hard time learning these terms but as long as they progress, they will soon be aware of those terms especially if they are doing regular gambling.
899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 07, 2023, 11:10:00 PM
At least they are showing some signs of life. We are still halfway through the season, so if they can get a move for a key player that can help them, there is still a chance that we will see them in the playoffs. Schroeder, Westbrook, Bryant, and Walker are really showing some improvements. They are just a key player away from being really good. And if AD and Lebron stays healthy, their bid is pretty much alive.

Agree with this. Actually, in the case that there's no such thing as a trade will happen involving the Los Angeles Lakers before the trade deadline, their fans can bet that their improving role players especially Bryant, Schroeder, Walker, Nunn, Reeves, etc. will do their very best to help the team bounce back from their current standing.

However, these fans should also accept the fact that the chances of the Lakers getting into the playoffs is really critical at the moment. They are even in a tight spot to qualify for the play-in tournament. Anthony Davis is really the missing piece for them to improve their current position. The Lakers should always be at 100% healthy status to remain alive and kicking on their playoff attempt.
900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 06, 2023, 11:56:33 PM
I would like to see teams implement a couple new rules such as must play x amount of games or lose a certain % of your contract for the year.

Same thing with sitting out games. On ly allow so many before they start being penalized.

I believe this might make players focus more on their bodies and conditioning.

But I believe teams will not push that for players that are considered and established to be at a superstar level already.

Instead of giving these types of players a condition, they will just use the usual load management system.

The NBA themselves should rather implement that rules instead as teams will do everything to take care of their superstars.
