8821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitbank proposal on: April 28, 2013, 10:49:37 AM
Even though some Bitcoin users may want it, the majority would not want this to happen, However I believe it's going to happen in the near future if we like it or not. Personally I think it has it's upsides but also has it's down falls which kind of scares we away from this idea.

8822  Economy / Economics / Re: Theory:once all the web fanfare and speculative interest is gone on: April 28, 2013, 10:45:01 AM
I do find this hard to believe. It's been targeted by the  medic and attacked many times and is still gaining power. A lot of merchants are starting to accept Bitcoin as well as the president from paypal said he's considering it. I know in my local area a few shops have started to provide some items for Bitcoin which is awesome.
8823  Economy / Goods / Re: Credit card shaped 16GB USB sticks with engraved Bitcoin logo (1BTC GIVEAWAY) on: April 28, 2013, 10:41:45 AM
These look amazing! These are a really good idea and I think I'm going to consider buying one just for the fun of it!
8824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying a Small Country to Make Bitcoin an Official Currency on: April 23, 2013, 08:20:01 PM
It's a good idea and you would have to be pretty convicing and show them it's not a 'bubble'. Most countries are wary of  Bitcoin because of the DDOS lately, However Bitcoin is rising once again and pretty much shows the strength of it. I would suggest contacting the guys who created the documentary and see if they can go out and find a country who would be willing to accept, If I had the money I would buy my own island and set this kind of system up, sadly I don't have that kind of money.
8825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CAPTCHA to mitigate DDoS attack? on: April 23, 2013, 04:28:41 PM
It might stop bots which would be great, however it wouldn't prevent DDOS attacks.
8826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Island/City and More on: April 22, 2013, 04:23:55 PM
Sounds like a great idea, however it wouldn't be so straight forward as people think and would require a lot of legal work.
8827  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [Domain Sale] WE.BB on: April 22, 2013, 07:00:13 AM
Wait, the OP had a offer of 2000usd?

Thats what he told me in PM. And I cannot find any info online about the .bb Barbados domains being TLDs.

I find that hard to believe.
8828  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Steam games & bitcoin. on: April 21, 2013, 09:36:51 AM
Yeah, if we could buy every game in the steam store for Bitcoin, then that would be amazing. It would have to have a automated system though, I wouldn't want to wait more than 24 hours and I should imagine that it would be VERY busy.
8829  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB Bitcoins Bitcoins Bitcoins!! on: April 21, 2013, 09:34:21 AM
I can remember talking to a person from Ireland and they were thinking of opening a Bitcoin exchange. I don't know if he ever did proceed with the idea. I can't seem to remember his name.

Yeah, would you be able to show more pictures and give us a value in GBP which you are looking to sell at, because bitcoin is forever changing.
8831  Economy / Services / Mystery Shopper on: April 18, 2013, 10:19:38 PM
Hello bitcoiners,

I thought to myself the other day.
I haven't seen many bitcoin users who are willing to provide 'mystery shopping' services.

I think this would be a great idea and would be more than willing to do this.

What is mystery shopping?

Mystery shopping or a mystery consumer is a tool used externally by market research companies, watchdog organizations, or internally by companies themselves to measure quality of service, or compliance with regulation, or to gather specific information about products and services. The mystery consumer's specific identity and purpose is generally not known by the establishment being evaluated. Mystery shoppers perform specific tasks such as purchasing a product, asking questions, registering complaints or behaving in a certain way, and then provide detailed reports or feedback about their experiences.

So basically purchase a product and act in a certain way and write a report to their 'employer'.

Stores around me

I live in a rather popular place and would not be able to name all the shops.
However bare in mind that I do live in the United Kingdom and do not have access to shops like wal-mart for example.

This is one reason that we need more people willing to offer this service world-wide.

If you would like to send me a private message on what store/product you would like to know more about I will message you to see if I have access to that particular request.

If the items can be found throughout the United Kingdom I will most likely be able to get the majority of products and review them.

When will I get the product & send the review?

I will always get the product on Saturdays and write the review sunday.

8833  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitinstant investigation - community effort. on: April 18, 2013, 07:36:50 PM
I hope you can actually sort out all these issues.

I have seen many threads in the forums about bitinstant 'scamming', at first I thought it was because was not patient enough. However I have read loads of different threads stating the same as this one.

I would like to hear from anyone who have had any past experience with bitinstant and if they resolved the issue.
8834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Billionaire on: April 14, 2013, 12:10:15 PM
BTC Billionaire??   There will only be 21million BTC at the end.  How can u be a BTC Billionaire?

Because 1 BTC does not equal $1

I'm glad someone posted that, I didn't want to sound rude.
8835  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: is cloudhashing.com a scam?? on: April 14, 2013, 12:03:38 PM
Well, I guess the only way that we will know is if people actually use it & give reports. There is no point in speculating whether it is or is not.

8837  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Steam Account - Borderlands 2 ; BlackOps2 ; Left4Dead2 ; Killing Floor + Ravaged on: April 14, 2013, 11:53:04 AM
I believe it's against steams TOS to sell or even lend your account to a friend.

I remember a guy I used to play online a lot with & made 'internet friends' with lent his account to his friend who of course was on a different Ip and his account got suspended, because he didn't give steam notice.

However I know people who have changed ip and haven't had a problem so its all luck  I guess.

You might want to check out the TOS though, it is not allowed.
8838  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin Is Going to Succeed: The Reason Nobody Is Talking About on: April 14, 2013, 10:26:11 AM
Very detailed and quality post. Something which people don't consider very often. I think you got your point across. I also think you made it clear how everyone else should be thinking; more positive.
8839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You are all dumb and got warned this would happen. on: April 11, 2013, 05:55:16 PM
Crash?

It may be a so called 'crash' to new people who bought bitcoin, But what you don't realize is that a year ago it cost very little and a lot of us bought back then and are now profiting.
