901  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you suggest a better way?? on: July 20, 2017, 03:27:22 PM
The market is falling is it the affect of the upcoming segwit? Or just a normal move in the market in which is the up and down of the price?? Is it ok to hold bitcoins in the exchanger? Can you help me???
Both, the reason make the price of crypto are falldown 50-400% if compare few months ago are by SegWit2x and the correction price in crypto market by whale. We are in bearish trend, I suggest you hold Bitcoin in exchange now, don't try margin and sell now not good price

What did you said man? Why suggest to hold bitcoin in exchange? So you can sell at the higher peak before soft fork? Poor decisions obviously, do not put your bitcoin into exchanges, withdraw it and secure the private keys, don't worry because bitcoin price will rise again as we have seen today, it rebound and recover.
Cryptocurrencies prices declined before due to some people spreading misleading information about chain split and fud about crash.
But, as long as you believe in bitcoin, then it wouldn't be problem. Just make sure you are ready for the next day when segwit2x will lock-in and bitcoin price skyrocket again.
902  Economy / Economics / Re: Affect of bitcoins in the global economy on: July 20, 2017, 02:22:33 PM
You can say bitcoin has small effect in the global economy, it just a medium of exchange, a digital currency which on developing. If we compare with other currencies, than bitcoin has limited usability due to most people use it as trading object instead of being a currency, still far away from what the founder wants about bitcoin. Bitcoin is a bubble I guess, for now it has high exchange rate even though still on early years of development, many people don't want to spend bitcoin because its value increase over time and more profitable to keep than buy something with it, and many other reasons such as fees and only few merchants accept bitcoin payment right now.
903  Economy / Speculation / Re: Vote on price in 24 hours on: July 20, 2017, 12:37:54 PM
Yes, and bitcoin price seems in rally again, has been increasing over $200 within hours, no doubt it caused by segwit2x will be activated soon. Look like I made a mistake, I should vote for over $3000, lol Cheesy, how fast it rise make me anxious, when they will sell again if people in hurry to buy it right now? We will see how it will be after segwit activated, but I'm sure bitcoin price will rise significantl, just like litecoin in last few months ago. I'm wondering how much bitcoin could achieve after 3 years later if halving happen Huh Maybe could reach over $15,000 I guess, if bitcoin has steady increase every year.
904  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: hashflare or genesis-mining ? on: July 20, 2017, 11:54:31 AM
Of course people could get profits through cloud mining, but the owners who get the biggest portion and for the rest, just good luck for them. Because there are too many scammers around, plenty of scam cloud mining, or very small return if you invest on them.
So, it clearly doesn't recommended to risk your money into uncertainty of cloud mining. If you want to prove that, be careful and don't forget to give us enlightenment after your capital paid off.
905  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc = you make me tired on: July 20, 2017, 11:07:28 AM
Then you don't deserve to trade bitcoin, how long you've been trading bitcoin? How much did you lost?
Bitcoin is profitable whether for long term investment or short term, of you tired about segwit then just secure your private keys until all things sort out. If your aim to get profits in short term, it will be easier if you have patience for days/weeks at least.
For example: last week, bitcoin price at $2500 and few days ago it was $1800, if you bought bitcoin 3 days ago then you already get decent profits right now.
906  Economy / Economics / Re: When will more retailers accept Bitcoin on: July 19, 2017, 11:39:01 PM
"Japan: No Bitcoin Tax, Thousands of Stores to Accept the Cryptocurrency"

article published July, 5, 2017
https://edgylabs.com/2017/07/05/japan-no-bitcoin-tax-stores-accept-cryptocurrency/

"AirRegi is a widely used, tablet-based point-of-sale app in Japan. Currently, around 260,000 establishments, stores, and commercial facilities use this proprietary app to accept payments from their clients."

It makes sense that a transition to accept bitcoin would be underway for more US-based stores.

Japan has leading the way with bitcoin as legal payment which many companies in there accepted bitcoin transaction, even some public service could be paid using bitcoin. And there are a lot of citizens which have been using bitcoin in daily transaction in several places all over the world such as Arnhem and much more.
If you mean when more retailers in USA accept bitcoin, then the answer will be relative as the country won't stated it as a legal payment instead they have stated bitcoin as a commodity. So, people should convince retailers owners to accept bitcoin payment, maybe it will be easier after segwit implemented.
907  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Segwit2X / chain split question on: July 19, 2017, 11:10:25 PM
August first has nothing to do with Segwit2x. Segwit2x can cause a chain split before August 1st. The effects of a segwit2x chain split and a BIP 148 chain split on August 1st will be fairly similar, so read this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2012799.0

What? I thought that whole point from this is to not have a chain split, If they achieve the 80% and activate it before 1st August, how Is it possible to have a chain split in this case? and why would even UASF take place since the goal was to activate SegWit, and SegWit2x brought that before UASF.

It become my concern too, if segwit2x could be activated before August 1st but doesn't mean it will be activated until bip91 reach over 80% threshold and must be reached 336 blocks within this period and miners signaling with bit 4 in the block. So, it means segwit2x will be activated soon, as I've read about it, maybe it will be activated within 2 days, and bip148 on August 1st doesn't matter anymore, or am I wrong?
908  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lol @ Hardfork panic on: July 19, 2017, 04:03:19 PM
I look forward to a huge SegWit speculation bubble. Even LTC doubled in the few weeks before they finally activated SegWit. And Bitcoin? Where everybody is waiting already for 2+ years now? whoaa-

Exactly. Litecoin was considered "dead" trading for a couple dollars early this year, and after Segwit activation hit $50+

Unfortunately for some people who sold their bitcoin for cheaper price than what it will be achieved in the next month.
Hopefully, most people who loss because sold bitcoin, could bought at the bottom line of bitcoin prices and make profit in the future, as we know bitcoin is a long term investment, there's no shortcut to make you rich. people have to believe in bitcoin and be patient as bitcoin fluctuate a lot, but in the end bitcoin could recover and reach higher peak. I expected for over $5000 after segwit activated, or we might find bitcoin reach over $3000 in the end of this month.
909  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1 Million satoshis per day on: July 19, 2017, 03:21:01 PM
Is it possible to make 1 million satoshis per day with 1 bitcoin?
Yes possible but not on daily basis. You should not set any daily targets but if an opportunity available you may go for making use of it. This is how trading may work better rather than per day targets. If you set daily targets then it may pressurize you to go for baseless trading.

A trading should be started with all cafeterias satisfied for it. Otherwise losses will be the results. More than 1 million satoshi from one bitcoin is easier for me but I am not making it daily even I am trading for years.

Yes it is, but do not deceive yourself trying to make BTC0,01 profits everyday, as it will be impossible.
In cryptocurrencies world, sometimes you may - could generate BTC0,01-BTC0,5 but sometimes you will lose such amounts as well.
Depends on strategy you want to implement, but trading is a good way to make it as long as you know how to.
Try to set some amount to buy coins, limit your daily loss and don't be greedy.
910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will people start moving their savings to Bitcoin in case of a financial crash? on: July 19, 2017, 06:56:25 AM
Found this.. is it all fud? "Legendary investor Jim Rogers predicts a market crash in the next few years, one that he says will rival anything he has seen in his lifetime."

http://www.businessinsider.com/jim-rogers-worst-crash-lifetime-coming-2017-6

It is really necessary, warn people and we could be prepared as he said the worst in your lifetime.
Well, I won't say it true or it just a wild guess without any legit evidence support his words. I prefer stand on neutral side, watch over the market, especially cryptocurrency market and divide my money into several store of value such as gold, cash, bitcoin, and land. If something goes wrong, the most important thing is foods, that's why many people who already prepared has been collecting food stock like canned food which can last for years. I just mentioned about some precaution acts that maybe you want to consider, better to be prepared just in case. Furthermore, you have nothing to lose if you divide your funds into some crucial matters.
911  Economy / Economics / Re: About world crisis and criptocurrency on: July 19, 2017, 05:44:23 AM
It really, honestly just depends what kind of crisis we are talking about. There are untold scenarios that could cause BTC to spike higher, there are others that would cause it to be almost worthless / unsellable. Try trading BTC in a time when the internet goes down. Good luck.

If world economics really happens, then that is the time for bitcoin usability to be tested through people transactions.
This problem remind me about diversify wealth into several investments, this matter has been questioned before and to be honest, there is no any certain answer as the answer indeed depend on what kind of crisis we're dealing with. If nuclear war happen in the future, then bitcoin will be useless as most electricity/electronics components won't works anymore. However, if it just an economic crisis such as happened in some countries such as in Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Greece or Brazil, then people could use bitcoin as an alternative currency which the value should be increase instead of carrying gold everywhere in order to buy goods or foods as you can ended be robbed.
912  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee: Bitcoin will go above 500k $ in 3 years on: July 19, 2017, 03:56:39 AM
Right, and he also says it will be Jihan Wu's forked version of BTC. And he is a friend of Wu... Looks like he is pumping his friends (future) asset.

I'm very bullish on BTC, and when I tell people my price expectations, they think I'm crazy. But $500,000 within three years is just stupid; the probability for that is very, very low.

And I bet none of those bets will happen. Anybody can say: "Send the contracts over." Doesn't mean he will sign them... Why should he? For sure he is already heavily invested in BTC, he doesn't need additional bets against people from all over the world whom he has no idea if they will pay or not.

Btw, his real prognosis is 2-5 million dollars... That half a million is just what he is willing to bet about.

This is just silly. Very, very silly. Please don't take it seriously.

He really asked about escrow, he really accept everyone who serious want to make bet with him.
He said : "97 Scott Street, Lexington, TN, 38351. $10 million. settled in US dollars. July 19th, 2020." as the contract for his bet.
Here some tweets :
https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/887051746622795776
https://twitter.com/QuodVeritusUnum/status/887053152805158912

He must be so sure about bitcoin could reach $2-2,5Million in 3 years, so he dare to make a bet just $500K.
Furthermore, he has so much money to put on the gambling table, even asked for $10 Million for bet.
913  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What the hell is going on with C-Cex??? on: July 18, 2017, 11:59:10 PM
First thing I get in my email this morning is that my C-Cex password has been changed. I've never used C-Cex before so who cares. I went to see if maybe I signed up way back in the day so I reset my password again. The brand new password won't work. I tried resetting it again. It doesn't work. I try to open a ticket and it says the captcha is wrong. I try to do anything and the website is down for "5-7 minutes of maintenance" (which so far has lasted 10hours.).

What the hell am I supposed to do now? I just want them to close my (non existent) account so they don't get screwed over from some hacker. I have nothing to lose there so I really don't care. I'd just rather not get these emails every single time their crappy exchange gets hacked. It seems to be every 3-6 months I get another email.

I have a secure system and I'm not getting hacked so I know C-Cex is getting hacked. My password was very long and random and never reused. I'd appreciate if anyone knows how I can get my account closed without opening a ticket since even that doesn't work on their site lol.

Quote for reference.

Of course you can't login as you said that's a non exist account.
Password, brand new password and captcha won't work either.
If I were you, I won't waste my time trying to prove that fake account instead of delete all of those emails which could be a phishing method.
914  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Recommend a good exchange on: July 18, 2017, 11:35:25 PM
I just got screwed by Kraken.  I shorted bitcoin, then entered a BUY/Stop Loss and it hit but did not fill.  the stop loss was ignored.  they offered me some KFEE ($50) nonsense as an apology but this is bullshit.  How the hell can I trade if it doesn't work.

Can someone recommend a good trading platform that lets me short BTC and ETH, and maybe DASH?

Thanks.

There isn't any at the moment. All of them are having problems. If someone ever says to you "exchange A is great and nobody ever had any problems", he is lying.

Polo: Many withdrawal problems. Locked currencies, wallets...
Cex.io: Is in trouble with the FEDs
Btc-e: same
Kraken: same
Finex: Ticking bomb
Coinbase: Joking right?

It is time for us to push for decentralized exchanges. Oldschool exchanges has little time left.

What the difference between decentralized exchanges and common exchanges?
Is there any decentralized exchanges out there? Ready to use its services?

Where do you live Op? Have you tried bittrex before? Well, do not, it has some problems regarding customer accounts security.
Try a local exchange, whether it is bitstamp, coinone, bitflyer or something like that, there are some local bitcoiners in your country that should be mentioned/share about the same exchanges.
915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: when to buy/trade? on: July 18, 2017, 06:52:06 PM
Yesterday, when most altcoins declined was the good time to purchase more cheaper coins, but today it seems arise from the dead after significant decrease. But, everyone still have the opportunity to buy bitcoin or altcoins as it should increase again at least recover to ATH of those coins, just wait for the end of this month and we would know whether it rise up or decline again due to hardfork that will be implemented.
916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core Error Message on: July 18, 2017, 06:09:21 PM
So I fired up the core client today after a couple of days having it turned off.

Once the blockchain was loaded up and it was ready to go I noticed (for the first time) an error message stating the following: "Warning: Unknown block versions being mined! It's possible unknown rules are in effect".

What does this mean? Are there already posts regarding this? Am I not running the latest core version and is that what's prompting this error message?

I don't want to spread panic or inform people with faulty information but yeah, I'm curious more than anything.

This warning appear because you're using bitcoin core, right now most miners are setting bit 4 of the block to signaling segwit2x, read here http://www.coindesk.com/bip91-begins-bitcoins-miners-signal-segwit2x-scaling-proposal-early/
Yes, there was an explanation about what you concern https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2027513.0
Fortunately, it consider as normal and not a hardfork, so our coins still safe. Be prepared and export your private keys.
917  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin rise or fall? CONFUSED on: July 17, 2017, 06:08:11 PM
Hopefully everyone could make it, bought back at the bottom of those dark days of serial decreases. But if you sold at $1850, then it was your loss in my humble opinion as we've seen bitcoin price already recover and seems persist over $2000 right now and keep rising. All green on the cryptocurrency market, at least mostly. It's a sign of bitcoin will rise and rise through August 1st. Buy now if you still have cash if I may suggest, believe in bitcoin.
918  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: July 17, 2017, 04:48:26 PM
Aug 1 / BIP148 is coming in 15 days. ChipMixer will closed a day before Aug 1 till situation get stable.

What does it mean for you?

If you have withdrawn chips (private keys) - you can spend them any time you want, even when ChipMixer is closed. If hardfork happen, your funds will be spendable on both forks.
If you have unspent voucher(s) - redeem them for private key before or wait till we reopen. Same if you need to mix some coins.

In case of doubt, redeem and sweep before Aug 1.

Does ChipMixer support BIP148/BIP149/Segwit/Segwitx2/others?

No. We focus on privacy and Segwit does not give us anything related to privacy. Hardfork means lack of stability and loss of Bitcoin value.

Thanks for notify us, there's no any transaction should be out there on August 1st obviously as it could stack in limbo or become useless which ended as loss for people who want to try it.
I would like to mix my coins in the near future before August, it will be a good way to export some private keys in case if you don't know how to, and we get more privacy for our bitcoin. I hope tips for chipmixer will be enough and increase during this period of uncertainty regards chain split. I admit, amazing work from chipmixer devs team.
919  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHEN will BTC rise again and WHY? on: July 17, 2017, 03:11:14 PM
Ive been watching the markets sence bitcoin was 150$/BTC, i have been promoting bitcoin and the use of it for a long time, but why should BTC ever rise again? There have been a peak thru overbuying and now somebody has to pay = coin value drop.

Hard fork, soft fork doesnt matter the value wont rise above 2k$ again?
It wasnt meant to?

I have not sold my Coins but i dont believe in 4-10-100 000$ /BTC

If you have been watching the market for years, don't you think bitcoin price has reach an incredible point? Over $3000 within 8 years.
Actually, bitcoin ever reached $4000 on South Korean exchanges. If you don't believe in bitcoin, could reach $10-100 000, why you didn't sell when it was $3000?

Bitcoin value will always recover and reach another level of price in every year, because it has some advantages which fiat currency doesn't, and if we're talking about an economic rule; bitcoin supply and demand are in perfect situation in order to reach those prices that you don't believe in.
920  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When investment goes -100% on: July 17, 2017, 02:20:11 PM
So I'm actually facing this dilemma at the moment. I made three investments in three coins at poloniex.
Now all three of those are down more than 100% of the value that I bought them for, so I guess I got no options but to wait it out. It may take long time to get back to the value where I don't lose too much, but that is the only option I have.
Have you experienced anything similar in your tradings? How do you deal with such situations?

I've never been through the same situation, because it is so risky and your decision to bought altcoins proven, were wrong. If bitcoin price goes down, altcoins likely to decline as well such as what happened this week because bitcoin is the standard of all cryptocurrencies. And look at coinmarketcap.com when bitcoin seems on green side, then most coins follow it.

There's nothing to do but wait for altcoins price recover obviously as you just can make break even point, if those coins get back to what it has reached before. You may have to wait for months until it recover due to bitcoin is facing the same situation right now.
