9061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Antshares/ NEO [ANS] on: August 05, 2017, 06:16:09 AM
I believe they said they are releasing a updated wallet on aug 8th if im not mistaken im just waiting for that to get.
Do you know if it will be for Macbook or not? Huh
One of the co-founders mentioned in a video that they will not be focusing on a wallet for macs, but will be focusing their attention on the windows one. He said wants the community to get involved and well... the community did get involved and made one for the mac. There is a nice light wallet for the mac I saw on reddit. If you go here - https://www.reddit.com/r/NEO/, you can see on the right under "Wallets" there is the "CoZ Neon Light Wallet". If you click on "Mac" it will download the light wallet for you.

Now why would the founders do such a thing? I am not such a tech or geek so I use Windows but I know plenty of people who never touched a PC. As shown by this community. Anyone experience NEO and is it as safe to use?
9062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the future of Bitcoin Cash vs Bitcoin? on: August 05, 2017, 06:07:40 AM
As much as we dislike BCC we must be fair. Bitcoin took so long to get recognition. And it did not have Competitors. We cannot say for sure its future as a coin. But as a competitor to BTC, it must fail. It is only a little superior until BTC scales. Not unique.
9063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash in 129% growth on: August 04, 2017, 08:26:06 AM
Whoops you all made it too early, sorry for buyers. Look it is below BCC start price. And now more people selling. Pressure and volume growing very fast. I will say in 1 week everyone from BCC will cry.
9064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀🚀🚀🗳 The New Era of Pump and Dump shittycoins Starting HERE🗳 🚀🚀🚀 on: August 04, 2017, 08:22:31 AM
OK @OP I am ready to gamble. For me if 1 shittycoin makes 100% I can afford 2 shittycoins to make -50%. So based on this strategy if I follow 5 coins from you and 3 make 50% I can lose -50% on 2 shittycoins.
9065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [SAFEX] Safe Exchange Coin Speculation on: August 03, 2017, 06:30:39 AM
Wallet launch in 3 days! already we reached 330 sat,
where will this go ?? I say $0,05 before the end of the year

Hello to Serbia. I am looking at this with a lot of interest. Wish the pictures and video would show up for me. Is there any other place to get SAFEX other than from? I will wait to download new wallet, I feel I will join you.
9066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥⭐[ANN] WiC |Monetizing WiFi Sharing | Developed Technology |Token Sale Soon⭐🔥 on: August 02, 2017, 09:51:21 AM
Actually this is an interesting idea. But the main concern is privacy. I see a possibility that someone who will offer their WiFi will get a separate one just to monetise it. Meaning, sell it for cheaper to more. I cannot think of why yet, but time will tell.
9067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: !!!--- [WTS] BCC/BCH BitcoinCash in Exchange for Bitcoin or Monero ---!!! on: August 02, 2017, 07:44:24 AM
Can I ask? If people can buy them cheaper on exchanges instantly... why would they pay more to buy from you? I am only wondering if there are advantages to buying direct.
9068  Economy / Goods / Re: Major Chinese philatelic rarity on: August 02, 2017, 06:56:27 AM
Amazing pictures. Stamp collecting was a popular hobby but only before the millenials were born. I much doubt this can attract serious attention here. But if a sale comes through, it will be good media for this forum and Bitcoin.
9069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why still so many ICO projects here after Bitcoin forks? on: August 02, 2017, 05:36:09 AM
Because money still talks. When BTC is full, they will move to ETH tokens. When ETH is not popular they will return to WAVES. Same story, wash, recycle,,, ICO also a recycled story. Maybe the end of 2017, the end of ICOs. But they will return when all is forgotten.
9070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY STAGE GO ON] ICO Estate Coin - House That Mine Coins (profit in BTC) on: August 01, 2017, 06:36:31 AM
I received PM from OP, but I don't like to click links to be honest! I am happy to answer questions here.  Thank you for your interest in my interest:)

Your opinion is important to us!

Why haven't You invested in the ICO EstateCoin?
1. I don't see the outlook for the project;
2. I don't trust the Waves platform, on which Estate Coin issued;
3. I don't convenient to use the website and/or Dashboard;
4. I don't trust in the project Estate Coin;
5. I don't like the terms of investment;
6. I registered for the sake of interest, not for further investment.

* There may be several answers.

First main reason is not just a problem of Estate. It is a problem of most ICO. I like full details and working plan. Exact roadmap, who is who and doing what. For example, we have A B C D working for us, and A will do this by X time. B will do this by Y time. Real estate is not easy, it is very tricky. I am very interested. But still need to see more info.

And I don't want to ask - I want to wait for the info to come.

But keep developing. I am very interested.
9071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BIS]Bismuth - New Language, Interpretation Engines, Free Set of DAPPs on: August 01, 2017, 06:15:24 AM
I have exactly the same problem. Thanks for the link, but I wonder if this synchronisation issue is being addressed?

Healthy blockchain should be easy to sync without snapshots. Right now, it looks like snapshots of the ledger are the only way to sync this. Without them, the chain keeps going back and forward, gets some blocks, then rewinds back. I though that is just my node, but it seems to be a common issue.

Isn't this a serious issue to address?

P.S. One additional small question: what is the right way to do a backup? Is making a copy of "privkey.der" enough, or other files may be needed too?

I have experienced the same with the last few wallets I tried installing and syncing. The number of blocks climbs and then keeps jumping back down. So I am never in complete sync. Just gets stuck somewhere rewinding over and over.

This is only CPU-mineable for now right? What can I expect to get with an i7?

Is there a chance of solo mining?

I would not recommend solo mining , as there are already a lot of miners, but on slack you can find pool and miner . Depends on your cycles/s how much you get , but you can try 1-2 hours and see if it's profitable for you.

Thanks

Will the new hardfork change if this is CPU mining? Any solo miner at the moment? Maybe interesting place to start out. Want to test out mining with a home computer for the first time.
9074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you prefer? BTC or ETH? on: July 29, 2017, 08:15:25 AM
People always said that ETH will be the next Bitcoin. Since Bitcoin is having major updates, will ETH will launch into the moon, soon?

People continue to confuse what ETH is. It's not a competitor to Bitcoin.

ETH is a currency that represents processing power over the Ethereum blockchain. Ethereum provides access to a blockchain for any sort of project one can think of (which is not possible on Bitcoin's blockchain). Ethereum is bringing the blockchain to businesses, governments, charities, start-ups, and fools who want to start ICOs (with no reason or purpose).

ETH will launch, but for a much different reason that Bitcoin.

Love'em both!

Correct for the fools who want to start ICOs,,, but let us not give too much credit to Ethereum. They look like the attractive option to get "on the blockchain". This is just marketing. People have access to blockchain before Ethereum.
9075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is first Altcoin you heard and what your reaction?? on: July 28, 2017, 07:21:29 AM
It's funny but I thought alts were just Bitcoin in different forms. I did not really understand until reading more in this forum. I cannot remember which Altcoin I heard about first. I think it was Monero. It was in the news for a while because of dark markets.
9076  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I invest On BITCOIN right Now or Later on: July 27, 2017, 06:11:39 AM
I'm waiting to get a small pool of money from a few friends. We all decided to get about $1,000 dollars. Hopefully by September. Then we will get bitcoin at whatever price it is. And keep it. We will add to it every 3 months. It will be like a savings/investment. We have no wish to trade or invest other than just to grow our balance. Maybe this is an idea for you.
9077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🌟🚀[ANN][04.07] ICO Starta - Cross-Coin Venture capital on the blockchain🌟 on: July 26, 2017, 07:15:11 AM

What is this new way of doing VC that Starta tried? They have done nothing new, slightly different but nothing unique than some other ICOs. Even,,, they have the same problems as many ICOs. Slow response, slow distribution, cannot keep to simple deadlines.

The fact that you would say that proves how little you know about this.

Should we assume the fact that you're Legendary plus you've responded like this proves how much you know about this? This makes it even more similar to ICOs: typically arrogant response from current supporters to potential newcomers. Crypto has a lot to learn about business adoption.
9078  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: July 24, 2017, 07:15:54 AM
It's not very smart to quit your job for bitcoin because it can be very volatile and uncertain. I would rather recommend to just invest a percentage of your salary into bitcoin or even get your salary paid out in bitcoin (I know a couple of people who get paid out in bitcoin).

Certainly.  Unless you have many sideline or business and a genius in bitcoin then you can quit your job. But I would not do that ever because bitcoin like what you said is volatile and uncertain.  I would gladly try what you suggest like getting part of my salary and invest it in bitcoin.  I do not know ever that there is a company that will pay you bitcoins.

All the Bitcoin geniuses made Bitcoin their job. Look at Bitcoin.com or Bitcoin.org. They quit and made Bitcoin their life. So if you are as genius, then you may do the same. If not, keep your day job.

This is one of the few tokens that has actual working businesses behind it - combine that with the fact that there are only 5 million tokens and those those people who dumped for less than a dollar are going to be very disappointed in the future.  I suspect Starta could herald a new way of doing VC and since technically anyone can get involved (unlike regular VC) the potential market for this sort of thing is huge.

9080  Economy / Services / Re: Steemit accounts stories on: July 23, 2017, 11:23:39 AM
Wow, this is a really,,, low offer. Check my first post of this forum, you will see I got paid 0.01 BTC for doing a story. I think it was 500 words? Maybe those days it was only $15. But it was the minimum to consider. You create original writing, you should earn fair. $5 is fair price for automated content, that is, not human writing.
