921  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: October 18, 2015, 02:20:10 AM
If it ever gets that high ever again I'll cashout everything and be a multi millionaire.

Yeah, but then where does that leave you?  You'll be back to the same old fiat system that (I think) you were trying to get away from the get go.  You'll have to sit on the side lines, while everyone else will be waving bye to you through the windows of the rocket ship Grin
922  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 18, 2015, 02:17:04 AM
keep dreaming, no fundamentals and no gox for another bubble of that scale. I think that after this comes final capitulation.

i am wondering that you are still posting here, last time we went to 300$ you disappeared for a few months and didn't dare to post again until we went under 230$.

took my massive profits off the table, yes. and I did short like a mofo at 300+, twice. now I am back for another round.

but this time I am not sure we will hit 300.  Undecided

Yes, if we do hit $300, you could again start shorting like a mofo, and good luck with that.  I'm sure you will find plenty of folks willing to take your coins at that price, once we get there

I admire your optimism, but I think there won't be many willing to take my coins for 300 bucks. it did work out the last two times, but this time I think the top will be much lower. maybe the top is already in. doesn't matter cause this time we will hit the rock bottom.

lol... well, when that time comes (probably by next week or the week after) you can sell me yours. I'll be happy to pick up some spare coin you might throw to the bull riders.

Just curious though, how many coins did you sell out?
923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin was a worst decision of my life on: October 17, 2015, 04:56:45 PM

Well most of those who bought in that range are driven by emotions and lack of careful analysis on the matter. It's really a big help if you weigh your choices first before you decide. As I see it, everyone expects the halving to create a significant push in price. I hope so, so I can sell some and buy back again cheap! Smiley

To op, don't lose hope. Some even sold their houses and went all in to bitcoin. Smiley

Haha, yes this... If you think about what people did to get bitcoins back in like 2012, 2013, 2014  it would make your head spin and cringe.  People have lost so much money when the hype took them to $800+ ... but hopefully the people who bought in at that price point didn't dump all there bitcoins back out at say like $300 when it was coming back down hard.  I can't imagine what the guy feels like that sold his house... lol I would be so pissed.
924  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 17, 2015, 04:51:30 PM
Prepare for the big price crash. I just bought back in so it should crash down to $200 now.  Undecided

Hahaha, why so gloom QA?  This is the comeback rally beyond $1000K again, so be happy... just curious though, how much investments did you make?

I hope your right. You can pretty much determine how to trade by just doing the opposite of what I do. But I agree it looks like it's going to keep rising. I spent 2k to start and if it goes to 300 I'll do another 2k.

Nice... I think you're making a smart move.  But for me, being someone who has just started a family with student loan debts and everything, I can't seem to make that investment.  I just bought only 1 bitcoin a couple days ago, and saving up to buy another... I just hope I can save enough money to keep steadily buying bitcoins without breaking the bank.

Yeah, if you're pressed for cash you shouldn't do it. I don't have those kind of expenses anymore so I have a little more freedom. Even if the price just continues to float in the 2-300 area I'm not going to lose it all. If it shoots up to 550 I've doubled my money. No worse than any other kind of gambling I guess.

Yeah, but I'm one of those people who like to gamble Wink ... Plus I already have some like .5 bitcoins saved up from the last time I dumped them out, but now, for me, it's time to get back a heavy wallet (for me that's realistically like 2-3 BTC) lol.
925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin was a worst decision of my life on: October 17, 2015, 04:48:09 PM
Well it's ok, you can still find some comfort knowing that your missing funds have been relocated to someone else's pockets  Cheesy  It's all part of the game, you win some you lose some. You need to lose some for others to be able to win some. In the immortal words of Kurt Cobain "Her milk is my shit, my shit is her milk"  Smiley

If the OP is smart enough just to hold long enough I am sure he will get his money back and even make some profits. This is the future guys and I am definitely sure that in about 5 years, price will be much higher than just $500 where the OP got into.

Mark my words, this will happen!

5 years = $500? Psshh... please. Try $5,000 ... There have just been way too many good breakthroughs for bitcoin the last couple of months while the prices where dropping.  People and businesses have been innovating the way to invest and use bitcoins... there will be no major downturn in price ever again.
926  Other / Politics & Society / Re: AMERICA PRESIDENT WHO YOU PREFER? on: October 17, 2015, 04:44:36 PM
i vote ed for my granpa if he could be elected but he was european and dead now soo jed bush

Why does anyone think that electing another Bush would be a good plan for USA?
If I remember properly, Daddy-Bush was shady and Son-Bush was retarded.

Why would another Bush do any good?

I mean, I lean more on the right side of the spectrum... just a little bit, but even I know that Bush's will/where be horrible presidents. Everything they did was just awful. Maybe "No child left behind" was OK in a sense that it helped schools here in the south... but still... MOST of everything he did was god awful.

I was raised republican and used to be pretty heavily Right-Sided as well. Then the two Bushs' really changed my perspective of things. I had my entire political opinion flipped upside down because of the harm they did to our country. It wasn't ALL bad, but it was mostly bad and the impact they had is something still holding back USA .

Plz no Bush.

Well I mean, you can't really hold your political ideological beliefs in a point where it can change in an instant because of a bad president... your beliefs of what would make a good president, assuming he is a truthful and good person, is what should matter.  That's a pretty harsh turn around though, to go from republican, to basically supporting a socialist candidate.  I couldn't do that, but most people now and days are sick of the way our government has worked, so maybe in time I'll convert too... but for right now, I've held the same beliefs since I was a youngin'.
927  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: October 17, 2015, 04:41:17 PM
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.

I will always go with Bitcoin. Similar to bitcoin gold is also limited, so you also cannot predict it's price after 10 years (maybe it'll take more time than bitcoin to observe a drastic change). I think the demand of bitcoin is increasing day by day and will continue to increase eventually when it's reserve will near to an end! Moreover, gold has no value other than being used for ornamental purposes! Whereas bitcoin is a totally different case Wink

Well I mean, going along with what you said, with bitcoins it's an instant buy as well... with Gold it would take probably a week or so to have it shipped to your house and everything.  It just depends on what exchange sites you use, to get bitcoin at the price you want and instantly use it.  The good thing about bitcoin exchanges, is when you purchase bitcoins at a certain price, and don't have the benefit of getting bitcoins in instantly.. is that the price you paid for doesn't do anything.  So while this increase in price keeps going up, the price you paid for still stands... it's just annoying to wait for so long to get your bitcoins in though.

I'm personally with Bernie Sanders for the USA presidency. I feel like 80% of the candidates interested in running are not focused on any issues that are significant towards positive change and most of them are corporate puppets.

Bernie Sanders seems genuine and has views I can agree with.

But I was thinking about this yesterday... So first thing Bernie does is make bitcoins the valid payment option for the US.  There are quite a lot of people who hold a lot of bitcoins right now in the US, so would the first course of action be that Bernie makes those people who have bitcoins distribute them out EVENLY amongst EVERY American citizen from the get go?  If so I would be one pissed off summamma bitch.

There are ups, downs and scams with pretty much everything you do in life. Whenever you hand someone $ you have to absolutely sure of their qualifications, reviews and experience. It's dog-eat-dog in these stretching and newly-budding financial markets. Bitcoin has been doing a good-job of weeding out those who don't truly follow the zeitgeist and IMO is moving in an extremely positive direction.

Man, I haven't heard anyone mention the Zeitgeist in a long time.. lol, well it's funny, people sometimes loose concentration on a purpose.. rather they focus solely on the here and now, not about the distant future of a better tomorrow.

I always smile when people even understand what I'm talking about after the mention of zeitgeist hahaha. We have been consistently moving towards a stronger protocol and a more valuable bitcoin.

People are only focused on "I bought 10 bitcoins at $1,000 each and now they're down 80%!", but in reality you heard about bitcoins years too late and you don't even fundamentally understand where they're headed or why they exist so you probably should've avoided purchasing them uninformed in the first place. Tongue

Weren't there like 3 other "Zeitgeist" films and things people were trying to include?  I remember only really diving in deep on the 1st one, and then after that didn't really look to more in it, but since it's the weekend, I might as well try to look all that stuff again to pump me up about the bitcoin pump Roll Eyes

Aww, shucks guys... you are making me blush... and I want to formally apologize to AP. If anyone deserved it more, it would be him for being so adamantly selling me on XMR pretty much everyday. I would just read some of his stuff here, and honestly that halloween AMA was the best thing I've seen in a while.. crypto or not.

So I'm sorry AP, I do like being "tweeted" though.. even though I don't participate on any social media besides here. (If you consider this social media)...

Naww, I couldn't.. I would feel bad because I took away such a significant spot in XMR history just because I refreshed the page at the right time... lol.

-snip-
I've been reading on the BBR speculation thread and they talk about "Supernet" being some thing that can potentially really help them out in the long run... I don't know if I've just been ignorant of this for some time, but what the hell is this, and why does it help out BBR and not XMR at the same time?

ugh supernet. I didn't know BBR was tied up in them. The way i understand it its like a conglomeration of a bunch of altcoins. The ideals are cool - "hey lets all work together!" so they're all sharing resources and making their chains interoperable (maybe... thats how I thought it should work, but I have no idea)... from my cursory investigation, it looked to have all the makings of a camel.

Ew.. that just sounds like a messy cluster f**k of PoW coins doing, well, the work; while PoS coins just sit back and collect profit.  That doesn't sound like the right way to go at all, and I would assume people would get tired of that very quickly.
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 17, 2015, 04:41:28 AM
So how about this bull rush for both bitcoin and monero, and the fact that everybody else is tanking it pretty hard?? From what my ticker says on my phone, Monero's up a solid 8% ... nicely done. Any particular reason why xmr isn't tanking it down the tubes along with it's other cryptonote siblings?

uhhhhhhhhhh because Monero is awesome? I would guess its because, of all the cryptonotes, Monero's the only one really being developed. In order of developmentness, it probably goes XMR > AEON > BBR > others.

unfortunately, it could also be for stupider reasons, like the fact that monero has good liquidity on poloniex, so market players can extract profits by throwing their weights around. But whattaya gonna do. Its the wild west up in here.

Haha, I just instantly got the cover to the song "Wild Wild West" that South Park did in it's old seasons for some reasons... Any who, I've been reading on the BBR speculation thread and they talk about "Supernet" being some thing that can potentially really help them out in the long run... 939  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 17, 2015, 04:36:02 AM

Actually I think this pre-auction (US Marshals) rally is a bulltrap and  four or five months from now, either BIP100, BIP 101 or some other scaling solution will be implemented. Halving will be more immanent and it will be an excellent time to buy.

Yeah, that could be possible... but for some reason, I just see that people is stocking up right now on relatively cheap coins that they would hold until the halving.  I just see this as a buy it now, or regret it later kind of thing; not necessarily a bull trap.  I can see my self having to put ~$500 in 4-5 months to get a full bitcoin, and when I move I'll be thinking back to this and wishing "damn I wish I was here 4-5 months ago".
940  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Secure BTC Market Coming Very Soon on: October 17, 2015, 04:31:48 AM
Interesting, what the security features you have? for against the "hack attack".

What the means about "ensure automatic escrow through mathematics." use an escrow based on math Huh

And this market is only for trade bitcoin only, or related stuff which use bitcoin as payment?

It is for trading anything, using bitcoin.

This is not a currency exchange website, although you can exchange currency on it if you like.

Although all transactions through the website will be in BTC only.

For example if I sell microwaveable cups.

I can list microwaveable cups on this website and then people can purchase them with Bitcoins safely as there is a transaction guarantee.

It will be impossible to operate a scam within this system we are developing.

I just don't seem to understand though, are you going to somehow implement a way to make some kind of way for bitcoins to operate like Paypal, so that if the seller doesn't send you the goods, then you get your bitcoins back or something of the sort?  I just don't see how any of this can be possible, since there would be so many factors involved.
