What's RT?  Got any links?
942  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 30 GH/s BitForce Single SC ordered in September 8, 2012 for SALE on: May 16, 2013, 02:05:35 PM
So due to potential fraud you're having them send BTC straight to you?  You should be using escrow as you're new and have no reputation.
943  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: README replies on: May 16, 2013, 02:04:29 PM
Just a few points:

- It would be nice if you put some info about newbie sub-forum under "HELP", next to "HOME", under the username on the forum main page. I've lost 20-30 mins while figuring out why I can't post. Finally found it googling.

- I have 6 posts already and many, many, hours online - and still can't post. Do I have to login/logout or something? Can you be more specific in the README?

Thanks.

The first point is addressed when you register for the forums, which no one seems to read...

Looks like your good now, it can take a few minutes after you hit the 4 hour mark for the script to run and bump you up.
944  Other / Meta / Re: Why did my topic (with replies!) disappear? on: May 16, 2013, 12:20:45 PM
So please restore that topic!

Sorry bro, don't see that happening.  The thread is basically begging.
945  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] Batch 2 Avalon ASIC 65+ GH/s Order # 3973 on: May 16, 2013, 12:17:52 PM
Where are you located? Any chance for local pickup? When does escrow release funds? Thx, TJ

Northern Virginia, so if you're close by you can do local pickup.

I'm fine to wait for funds till I ship/it's received.
946  Other / Meta / Re: Why did my topic (with replies!) disappear? on: May 16, 2013, 04:05:07 AM
I hope you send 0.01 btc to my bitcoin address ADDRESS REMOVED within 24 hours.

I could have asked for 100 btc or more, but probably nobody would like to pay that much. However if you like this post, you are welcome to pay more.

I know there are probably many scammers here who read it for free. But you are not a scammer, are you?

Thanks for reading!

Topic titled "Read this post or reply to it ONLY if you agree to pay me 0.01 btc within 24 hrs"
947  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is miningunited.com a SCAM, turning .1 bitcoins into .137 for almost free? on: May 16, 2013, 02:51:47 AM
The site has been "updating" all day. Translation: MU's team of crack lawyers is furiously playing Satoshi dice and generating funny payouts.

Yup, this is the end, my only friend the end.

No updates tomorrow, it's time to get the pitchforks out.

I called this a long time ago.
948  Other / Meta / Re: Why did my topic (with replies!) disappear? on: May 16, 2013, 02:47:43 AM
I deleted it, it still "exists" in the trash can, so it still counts towards your post count, you just can't see them.

I thought this forum is against censorship, and even likely scams are not removed.

But my post was honest. I worked so hard to create that little piece of art with a contract in its title, and you deleted it!

Some people probably liked it and were going to reward me for my efforts during 24 hours.

Was there any reason to delete that post thus causing damage to my writing business?

Thanks for your reply!

The thread is you begging for BTC pretty much.  There's no point to keeping it around, if we do everyone else will post them too.

Forgot to put in the OP, but I'm only taking offers in BTC

I wouldn't call it dead just yet...  there is a lot of background activity and efforts under way to breathe life into it again...

The ramblings of a crazy man, or someone trying to get money out of others using alt coins.
951  Economy / Auctions / [WTS] Batch 2 Avalon ASIC 65+ GH/s Order # 3973 on: May 14, 2013, 06:35:23 PM
I'm selling my batch 2 Avalon ASIC pre-order.

The auction ends 10pm EST Tuesday May 21.

No starting bid, but there is a reserve.  The hash of the reserve is:
Code:
ed2809347fca585fbccd18e5ea5a1263191a0bbb035865d4d052e78b51258692
If it comes close to the reserve but doesn't meet it, I may still consider accepting the offer.

We will use escrow if you want, but I will chose the escrow provider (probably John K) and buyer will pay any fees.

Buyer pays for shipping and chooses provider/options.

I do not plan to even open up the Avalon box when I get it unless the buyer requests that I do.

If you want to 'buy it now' PM me your offer, will consider anything and close the auction if I accept.

And this is just one of many reasons that alt-coins a waste of time.  People use them to prey on others.
953  Other / Meta / Re: SYN999 HACKED on: May 14, 2013, 05:58:01 PM
Not sure why this is in the newbie section... going to move it somewhere else.
954  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: can't post yet.. on: May 14, 2013, 12:42:21 PM
Hey guyz, I have a doctorate from a top school, for realz.  During the time I made this post, my student loans have accrued more interest than my bitcoin miners have profited.

You've either borrowed way too much money at a crap interest rate or are mining with your CPU.
955  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: README replies on: May 14, 2013, 11:53:00 AM

956  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is miningunited.com a SCAM, turning .1 bitcoins into .137 for almost free? on: May 14, 2013, 12:01:05 AM
How is this not a scam? Where is the scammer tag *scratches head*

They haven't stolen anything... yet.

It's a sketchy as fuck setup that means one of two things:
- They're setting up a long con
- Their company is run by retards who can't do math
957  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What exactly are bitcoins bound to? on: May 13, 2013, 05:30:02 PM
Your wallet will take two inputs for the transaction, and they go to one output (for your example).

If you were to send 1.5 BTC it would take 2 inputs and have 2 outputs, as one would be 0.5 BTC as change back to you.

That make sense?
958  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I've met the 4 hr+ and 5 post limit but still cant post - what gives? on: May 13, 2013, 05:28:03 PM
I believe it can take up to 10 minutes after you hit 4 hours of online time.  Too lazy to look up theymos' post about it, but it's something like that.
959  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Flagged already? Seriously? What's the fucking problem? on: May 13, 2013, 12:43:19 PM
@OP

Go ask a cop, they know the law and should be able to point you in the right direction!

You topic asking about how to do it is gone now.
960  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin experts on: May 13, 2013, 11:48:26 AM
Theymos assigns it on a whim to his friends people he considers experts.

FTFY

Also, I believe they only show up in a few sub-forums.
