961  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [Sharing] Info Testnet Proyek Semua Jaringan on: August 14, 2023, 07:02:54 AM
Asal rajin diupdate saja.
962  Local / Marketplace (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [Gratis] Jasa Konsultasi Spek Komputer (PC & Laptop) + Diskusi on: August 14, 2023, 06:44:00 AM
CMIIW.
964  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [ASK] Apakah Blockchair sedang eror? on: August 14, 2023, 06:01:52 AM

Tapi diblokchair malah not found.
965  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Hardware Wallet on: August 14, 2023, 05:49:46 AM
966  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading assistant platforms like 3commas or cryptohopper ,... on: August 13, 2023, 08:00:43 AM
If you're a trader with small capital and only use one or two exchanges, I don't think using tools like that is going to help you that much. It is also risky as mentioned above, not to mention there are other open-source bots if what you're looking for is a simple automation tool. Just remember that using a tool, which most of the time requires you to buy some packages will not magically help you increase your profits.
967  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are these BTC-Swaps legit ? on: August 12, 2023, 12:12:54 PM
To be honest, I can't understand why you say that they use blockchains that is not popular or with low liquidity.
Low liquidity aside, most instant swap services that I know of would support multiple blockchains (coins) since it is necessary if you want to attract interest from users. I doubt a majority of users would be okay with trading wrapped tokens on the BNB chain since it can inconvenience them if they plan to trade on other exchanges.

I'm not familiar with any of the services you listed, but I second the suggestion to avoid them if all they offer is trading-wrapped tokens. I used Changelly and Changehero in the past, although their KYC is probably the biggest con if you want to protect your privacy.
968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is crypto mining still profitable? on: August 12, 2023, 11:57:19 AM
is cloud mining profitable, can you share your experience, please?
Try looking around for GPU renting services if you can't mine with it. I recall some users sharing how they make some money by renting their GPU for decentralized computing services. It should offer you better results compared to cloud mining especially if you have some GPU laying around. Cloud mining is only profitable for the business while the user only gets a very small profit most of the time (or scams, as mentioned above). CMIIW.
969  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legal firm recommendations (UK)? on: August 12, 2023, 10:53:00 AM
What do you mean by blocked? As far as I can remember, you can export your private key using their web wallet service[1]. Did you use their custodial service or their web wallet? You can try exporting your key and using other wallets to move your Bitcoin if it is the latter. CMIIW.

You can try making a post on social media if you still want to hire some lawyers.

970  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Decentralisation of the Bitcoin mining pools on: August 12, 2023, 10:30:06 AM
if bitcoin is centralised how good is it ? notably in comparaison to other blockchains like Ethereum, Solana etc ...
I'd say way better. If you argue that mining centralization is a big issue then other blockchains have other forms of centralization that might affect the network more than some miners mining in one pool IMO. For example, developers belong to one organization that needs to follow regulations where they live, new miners/node need to be approved by some people before they can start participating in the network, and so on. In my opinion, the chance that your transaction is blocked in such a blockchain is way higher than if you use Bitcoin, even if mining power is concentrated on one or two pools. CMIIW.
971  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New idea looking for contributers in team its revolution in crypto ways on: August 12, 2023, 10:19:27 AM
We all might need sometimes we never know when we need extra money for not expected situation or it's just great way to save.
It's like mix of the 401k + line of credit + insurance.
Assuming you can be trusted and everything is verifiable, why would anyone choose to use it compared to simply saving on their own? The risk is greater with arguably little benefits. Insurance coverage is questionable and it would be difficult for them to claim if their location doesn't have regulations related to crypto insurance or something similar. Not to mention the current insurance provided by exchanges and so on fail to provide any guarantee that the user will receive their money back if something terrible happened. I don't think you'll find success with this business.
972  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal becomes first major fintech to launch dollar-backed stablecoin on: August 11, 2023, 12:08:28 PM
Otherwise, for trading and storing purposes, isn't it just better to trade with Coin/USD pair instead of USDT and other bullshit?
For trading, stability is probably one of its benefits. If a trader uses multiple platforms, a stablecoin can also help them transfer funds easily without losing too much purchasing power assuming everything is done correctly. Obviously, this benefit doesn't outweigh the risk of being locked out or wiped by the controller of the smart contract (which is also present in the Paypal stablecoin, afaik). For Paypal though, it is one of the easier ways to appeal to crypto users and allows its regular customers to enjoy faster transaction speed while at the same time having more control over it. CMIIW.
973  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MEXC, insanely low trading fees. How are these guys making money? on: August 11, 2023, 12:01:01 PM
Hedge Mode can sometimes really help you to profit more.
Maybe I misunderstand what you said here, but wouldn't you achieve the same thing if you just buy on the spot market (buy Matic at 0.7, price moves to 0.5, then pump to 0.85, and so on)? I don't think you need to do it on MEXC either.

I realize this exchange started to become popular last year. Some shitcoins that I have got listed easily there. Maybe this is one of their revenue other than aggressive marketing like cheap trading fees for a short-medium period. If I need to use them, I'd assume they'll go bankrupt tomorrow just like any other low-tier exchange. Better to be safe than sorry.
974  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need help with Bittrex KYC on: August 11, 2023, 11:27:40 AM
Try to contact them through other means. Send them an e-mail, contact their social media, make a post on Reddit, and so on. As omega mentioned, we can't really help you. Anyone who said they can do your KYC is likely going to scam you. The only one who can help is Bittrex themselves. If they are still not responding then you can only take the lesson and move your funds from exchanges/any centralized service asap.
975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 11, 2023, 11:10:50 AM
As a European citizen, it is illegal if they share my personal info to other private third parties without my explicit consent, and it should be that way everywhere.
Even if it is illegal, there is no way you can be sure that companies don't do that behind closed doors. I've seen many cases where personal data got leaked by some apps licensed by the government for various reasons in many countries, even if there is a clause that makes it illegal. Maybe you can encourage your government to punish them, but the cost is not worth it for most users. I believe this is the major reason why people want non-KYC services to begin with.
976  Other / Meta / Re: Whats your take on adding 2FA key as a Bitcointalk account security features. on: August 11, 2023, 10:52:22 AM
Recently, Google added the option of restoring the service by uploading data to the cloud, and certainly your data may be shared across several parties on the Internet. So Google authentication is bad for privacy and security.
If it is an option, does this mean by default they won't do it? It would be terrible if they store your secret key somewhere and allowed someone to access it to expose everything.

As much as 2FA is important, but all the data in this forum is available to everyone, there is rarely anything of interest in PM, and the steps to recover the account are quick, hacking forum accounts is nothing more than sabotage activity or for personal reasons.
It would be different for each user of course. A legendary account that has records of trading or something similar is a good target to attack if they want to scam someone. A good example is also given above. Adding more security features is always a welcome addition as long as it doesn't compromise anything else imo.
977  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BlackRock and MSCI are facing congressional probes over facilitating investments on: August 10, 2023, 11:22:28 AM
It is already at the point. Very soon we will witness the migration happening. It may start from moving offices and branches and lead to total exit of the US market. We all understand how formidable the US market is, but immediately one discovers how to do without the market, others will follow.
I'm not sure I get it. You say it is already happening but then the migration is yet to happen. Do you happen to know which business is leaving the US completely that was based in the US from the beginning? I can only recall Bitrexx and other exchanges that were based overseas like Binance. Personally, I don't think a business like Blackrock will do that.

I guess we'll just wait and see if the US crypto market will be dead completely or if will it stay with stricter regulations in the future.
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Idea to receive 10x-1000x coins the coin project on: August 10, 2023, 10:53:28 AM
could you mark some projects you think if you were given fund you will take part in these projects presale so we know what kind of projects you are looking for ?
There is none unless you're looking for scam projects. A decent presale requires a large sum of money most of the time with strict criteria, which is why only VC or whales can enter the first stage. There is no way OP will be able to make a deal from the monthly subscription fees he collected. Even if he can, there is no incentive for him to keep his promise since he can easily pick worthless coins to distribute to his users. Don't fall for his scam.
979  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: WARNING when using mobile device wallets (Android, iOS) on: August 10, 2023, 10:53:16 AM
Example its Opera collecting what im typing asides o using a Gboard? i think YES. What its you point of view?
I don't think that's news though. Browsers always collect user data regardless of what keyboard apps you are using. I don't recall any popular Android/iOS browser having its own secure keyboard. Even if they do, we can't tell if they really keep no log or just log you as usual. You can probably avoid extensive logging with open-source and privacy-oriented browsers or keyboard apps just like mentioned before. CMIIW.
980  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Got surprised by swap cashier as he demanded KYC/AML on the street on: August 10, 2023, 10:41:08 AM
How do you guys perform Face to Face exchange? How does the process go?
There is a thread about it here[1], maybe you can further discuss it there if you want to ask further. I've never done it personally since finding local traders in my area is quite difficult. Fortunately, it is easy to do P2P through other means nowadays.

By the way, it looks logical to ask for an ID during exchange because what if the coins that you sent me are from dark web? And I am the only one who will experience problems when I decide to deposit coins from this wallet to casino/exchange?
If I were a seller I don't think I'd feel comfortable giving away my ID so my buyer can keep it and then collect my addresses since the risk of abuse is also high.
