961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question about current capacity on: March 28, 2021, 01:34:45 PM
I have just recently started learning about Bitcoin.  One of the issues I've read about is the capacity of the network in terms transactions/second.  Anyone know the current capacity?  What's the plan to address this issue?  I know there are a number of possible technical solutions but none I've read about would increase the capacity by orders of magnitude.
That has been how it is for years and you’re not the first person to bring this issue up, so many people has always been talking about it and they keep saying it repeatedly. Transaction has always been the problem with Bitcoin and the devs have not been doing anything about it.

We have seen Lightening Network introduced , but no one even makes use of that, you will hardly see any of the wallets integrating that feature. All the top wallets that I have been making use of, none of them has that lightening network feature, so I always have to go with the normal transaction. And I believe the reason why they haven’t allowed lightening network on their platforms is because it’s still in development stages.
962  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla Bought 1.5 B in Bitcoins on: March 27, 2021, 07:06:06 PM
I still think that Tesla accepting bitcoin as payment is a bigger news than the market responded with. It dropped because of that 6 billion options being unlocked but the reality is that we should have reacted to this a lot better.

I get that you may not like bitcoin accepted for a car is a big deal, you may think that way and I respect your opinion, but the reality is that if we end up with more companies starting to accept bitcoin, that would be huge deal. Think about amazon starting to accept crypto again, think about microsoft, think about google, think about facebook, basically think about all the big companies in the world starting to accept bitcoin. That would be a huge dela right? Well that will start only with one company and that company could be tesla, with them starting to accept bitcoin, that could be domino affect that starts mass adoption.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin I should investmen with 5k dollars? on: March 27, 2021, 05:25:35 PM
I have 5k dollars, you think i should investment any altcoin.

Do you think about UNISWAP? i see it have a top rank in DEFI.
Everyone knows that this year started awesome, no year has started this awesome before, usually the ends are good and starts are bad but last year ended awesomely and this year became even more awesome, the price when the year started was 29k, that is right we were literally under 30k when the year started, if we go back evne more, it was under 20k just early December months, and right now we are fighting over 50k in the end.

That is why I think we are not going to be like any other year seen before, we are going to make as much money as we can and that is why I am very much in love with bitcoin as well, it is an awesome situation and everyone should invest into high level crypto currencies. Fiat world is designed to make you lose money, there is no way you could make any money from that, but if you are lucky and smart enough to invest into right crypto, you could make serious money from it here.
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to Die? on: March 27, 2021, 03:17:26 PM
If you have a look on current crypto industry condition, then you would see that people continueously investing on btc, ether and so others altcoins like ada,bnb etc! Eth gaining price that's only because people still using eth without caring high fees.otherwise eth would drop like others so called altcoins due to lack of investors & transactions but i appiciate your logical point too.so i think people might reduce using eth and start using bnb, polkadot or tron for less fee.but don't think eth wouldn't die easily cause people have to use eth for done their erc20 tokens transactions.
ETH prices and the fee doesn't have a real connection, the only connection is that if you are spending 0.0001 ETH on transaction that could go up or down but as long as its little ETH how high could it get? If the only thing that made the fee's higher, we would have seen 10x higher fee and that's it not more, it would have gone up like eth price did, but the reality is that we are paying more ETH during this period as well and not just regular price.

It means we can have cheaper during this period as well, wait until July and you will see how eip 1559 will help us as well, that will make the fee's go down as well, it will not be simple but it will happen. That way all those excess fee charges by miners will be gone, I can't be mad at those miners neither because there are rich folks who are capable of paying that much that causes all these charges.
965  Other / Archival / Re: [GUIDE] All About Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) on: March 26, 2021, 05:46:25 PM
It seems to me that non-cash payments and digital money are still different from each other. At the same time, it seemed to me that the digitized currencies of the central banks of the states would be issued on blockchain technology and that this is the essence of the innovation and their significant advantage. However, I was surprised by the information that the Chinese digitalized yuan will not work on the blockchain. True, the fact that the digitized yuan has been developed since 2014 can play a role here. As far as I know, while other stable currencies of states will be on blockchain technology.
Non-Cash has been a thing for nearly 30 years if I am not wrong, non-cash refers to credit cards and checks and wire transfers and basically everything that is not giving someone paper banknotes, that is what it means in my nation, so I do not know about the world.

On the other hand just because something is using blockchain doesn't make it a crypto currency neither, digital currency that uses blockchain but controlled by the states itself with basically centralized control to do whatever they want, is something that would be actually worthy, there is nothing that we could do to stop them from controlling it and doing whatever but that would at least open the doors for nations to accept crypto as a good thing. This is why I find it very good, I do not know when I will be using it, but I think even if I do not use it, I would still support it.
966  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Suggest me what to do now! on: March 26, 2021, 08:58:19 AM
I am here almost 3 years+++. Now I have some experience in trading but I can't depend on my research only. Currently, I am holding almost $2k and looking for making investment to trade and earn some profit to increase my total funds.

Can you share with me some upcoming news which may help me to grow my funds fast? Or you can share your research too so that I can pick one shortly in my list to invest next.
Just invest the little amount, maybe the way you have stated it, $6000 straight up and the other $6000 with a stop loss and then watch the market. The market, from last week, dropped from $60000 price to around $50k.

But it has been on the move, so your luck will be if it hits that $60k price again. I can’t tell you for sure that it is going to reach that rate, so it’s going to be by chance, but it has been going up, even the chart today has been showing green and it’s been on the way up, so hope that it increases. Though judging from when you made this post, if you have invested since then, I believe you have made profit by now.
967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its coming i faster and would shock most people on: March 25, 2021, 02:36:25 PM
Friends, I think the moment we've been waiting on is fast approaching and should it come as a shocker to most of us. O saw this on coindesk.
https://www.coindesk.com/luxury-us-hotel-group-now-accepts-bitcoin-dogecoin-and-other-cryptos?amp=1

what would our reaction be like?
When bitcoin and crypto finally emerges as the future?

Well uhmmm, we still won't reap the world into halves but then, it's going to be something for the crypto community.

What could that something be for you, haven't scaled through the scarry news of your investment days and have finally over came the challenge.
Crypto is really the next big thing, so it doesn’t come as a surprise to me when I see companies accepting it. This is not like in the old days, this time around there are lots of people who are now making use of cryptocurrency for personal transactions, and if these companies or organisations chooses not to accept it, then it’s their own business, it doesn’t stop anything at all.

From time there have been lots of ways that one can spend their coins. As I am seeing it there will be more companies who are going to be accepting cryptocurrencies, more of these are going to be happening this year. Let’s all be looking forward to something really big.
968  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: price action trading on: March 25, 2021, 04:38:57 AM
Technically, most of the movements in the market are because of the repeating actions by people. We are all attracted to routine acts, and that's basically what we are here to do. In continuous aspects of life, that's how humans have dealt and survived.

To be honest, no one knows how to deal and predict the market, it should be understood, and most of the time, people will not be correct with predicting. It's better to be investing in what the asset is than speculating unless you are using a bot to do it for you.
Patterns create our life, we may like it or not, we may break them sometimes but if you look at most of the humans on earth they have a pattern all their lives as well. You wake up, you go to work, you come home, you do something you like and you sleep and you do that like for 40 years of your life.

Similar during school as well, just replace work with school and that's it. We as humans are programmed to have a pattern, all of our life is patterned, even our "having fun" periods daily are patterned, if you are a gamer you game, if you want you can watch netflix, but it is almost always the same.

This is why I think it is quite obvious that when we are trading, we do the same things as well, because we are so patterned in every facet of our life that when it comes to trading we do have a pattern as well, we do the same thing over and over again creating a routine for us.
969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where's the altcoin bull on: March 25, 2021, 01:40:41 AM
Few old projects have made the ATH, like enj, doge, bnb, eth but most of the old projects are still far away from the ATH. Can we call the current situation bullrun for altcoin?  I think no. Most of the times, it’s the affect of bitcoin rise.
So, when are we having altcoin bull where altcoin will be outperforming bitcoin? Or no more such things happening at all?
The ALTCOIN season will come it’s just with time , we can have patience till then, for now we have got to focus more on bitcoin, since Bitcoin has been increasing big investors has been more focused on it and they keep on investing huge amounts of money into it daily.

They never mind the price, even at this high rate they are still buying it and pumping the price to go further, I even saw news today trending on twitter that Microstrategy invested a million worth of dollars in Bitcoin recently. With such news trending daily, it will be attracting more retail investors to be investing and also more whales.
970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First time scammed , very frustrated on: March 24, 2021, 08:12:31 PM
I have recently applied a rule on Telegram that allows me not to waste time on scammers. I noticed that all suspicious people on Telegram, when writing to me, mostly just a greeting and nothing else. When someone talks to me with a real thing, they usually present it right away - if they don't, then they are out of luck, because I just ignore messages like "Hi", "Hello", "How are you". This is actually enough for now.
This makes sense, however even though I am a normal person I just write "hello" or "hi" when I am starting a regular chat, it is sad to see that manners became something suspicious. I am not saying that you are wrong, many people these days do not greet each other when they first start talking so it is actually quite a good method to figure out who is real and who is a scammer, but it is also a sad fact that regular people do not greet each other before they talk to each other. If you ever end up talking with me on telegram and I say hello, do not assume I am a scammer Cheesy.

I am just a polite person who learned that greeting someone and saying hello is good manners and that is how you start a conversation, you also ask "how are you" as well and even add "I hope you are doing ok" as well, those are things I say to start a conversation and then I write what I reached them for.
971  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hypothesis - bitcoin price is directly related to electricity consumption on: March 24, 2021, 07:40:38 PM
I do not believe that miners decide the price, and that is why I do not trust this opinion neither. I think it is obvious that we are in a world where financial institution play a bigger role than miners, and yes I think they used to play a bigger role but with halving it got less and next halving will happen in 3 years and that will make it go down so low that it is not going to be important at all, they will be basically gone.

With stuff like lightning network and so forth, they are not going to make too much money with the fee charges as well, so all in all I think it is quite obvious that we will not be doing something that would be benefiting anyone. So at the end of the day, electricity consumption is nothing, sure it may decide what miners would be selling for, that is important for them, but we are much bigger than that now and I do not think it will matter anymore.
972  Economy / Speculation / Re: Exchanges Bitcoin Reserves on: March 24, 2021, 06:47:00 PM

Recently too, on-chain analysis shows large outflows on such exchanges, especially on Coinbase exchange.

I recently subscribed to some on-chain analysis which showing some inflows/outflows of Bitcoin on some exchanges, and sometimes I saw it has some connection with the price action, like inflow on exchange = dump, outflow = pump. But not all of the time.

What are your thoughts on the Bitcoin reserves of exchanges? Can this guarantee an indicator for Bitcoin price action?
That's most probably a way for them to unload and use companies as well. Think about it, they charge you a trading fee, and what do they do with that trading fee? They mostly hold it and not sell it, if they kept selling every single profit they made it would crash the bitcoin price a lot, they can't do that on the market prices because it would go down and cause them to lose money. What did coinbase do? Found some companies who wanted to invest into crypto, they gave a bit of a discount so that they would pick coinbase, and eventually sold it wholesale and got out.

This way companies bought bitcoin with a discount, market was intact and didn't get destroyed and coinbase gave away all their bitcoins for a good price that would have been less if they sold on market. Everybody won from this deal and I think that's what happened with the exchange reserves.
973  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there subject to study Cryptocurrency ? on: March 24, 2021, 05:51:51 PM
i didnt hear such subject or study that tackles about crypto currency. i think if crypto currency will get more popular then many university in united states will add in curriculum. 5 years from now hopefully there will be a subject to that, about digital currencies and how to trade and to earn income.
It is about crypto alone, you can combine many things together and you could create yourself a career in crypto very very easily, only if you work. On paper it is very simple, but actually doing it is incredibly difficult. What do we have in the crypto world? Two types, one is financial which is trading and investing and many other things, the other is actually working with something that would be beneficial for the software part of the deal, the blockchains the features the defis and many other things that were created.

It means you could be either a coder for crypto world and code something new and better, or you could just buy and sell and make a lot of money that way. Which means you could study either economics or you could study software engineering and at the end of the day you will be capable of helping the crypto world even if your study wasn't called crypto currency.
974  Economy / Economics / Re: Tweets as Non-fungible tokens (NFT) - Dorsey's million dollar tweet on: March 24, 2021, 07:18:13 AM
Twitter founder and CEO Jack Dorsey has made a NFT (non-fungible token) out of his first tweet ever "“just setting up my twttr” and now is auctioning it at "Valuables by Cent". And he is not the only one, actually many people (virtually anyone) can do the same. I think that if this catches speed there may be many more tokenised "moments in history" including videos, first scenes of actors, digital art, ...

Offer's getting ridiculously high.

Potentially, the content of significant tweets will very frequently become property of someone and that will be carefully registered in distributed blockchain ledgers. I can see a clear market for celebrities, politicians and leaders.
I do not think that we need to "understand" the logic behind it, if we do not see that as a valuable thing then we do not spend our money on it, if we see it as a valuable thing then we pay as much as we value it and if someone else values more they will get it, if they do not value more then they will not get it.

Long story short we are in a situation where we really do not need that much understanding of why people pay that much because some people just value these things, they believe it should worth a lot and that is why they buy it.

I have seen a painting that I think worths the biggest amount of money ever paid for a painting, but in reality it was just 10k dollars, I still didn't had that kind of money but if I did I would totally buy it, it was better than Mona Lisa or anything else ever painted ever, but people valued it at 10k dollars, these are all subjective things, we should not try to understand it.
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Becoming a Store of Value on: March 23, 2021, 06:44:47 PM
I found a video of Mark Cuban explaining this: https://youtu.be/QEoBeIdwuRg

Do you think Ethereum has potential to become store of value? Why or why not?
I think it’s heading towards the direction of becoming just that, a store of value, with the way things are now. The fees are very high just like Bitcoin has been for sometime now, although I still feel that it’s just because of the bullish trends and when it is over ,they are all going to be reduced in fees and another possible reason the fees are very high now is because of how congested the network can be at times like this.

This time around a lot of people are avoiding making transactions with Bitcoin and Ethereum because of these high fees, mostly those that are making small transactions, imagine a transaction of 50 dollars and you still have to pay a fee that is very close to that lol, so a lot of people are avoiding that. Everyone is switching to a lot of other altcoins that are letting them do micro transactions without heavy fees that will crack their pockets.
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt Coins to buy with 200$ on: March 23, 2021, 06:03:57 PM
Please guys help me suggest coins to buy. I’m a student and I don’t really know much about crypto but I need the money for financial freedom and help my dad cover some of my school costs. Please guys.
I understand that you’re in need of money to assist your family, but I hope that you’re aware of the risks that are involved in investing your money in cryptocurrencies such as  Bitcoin? Because I am seeing it, the $200 seems to be your all and you’re in serious need of money which might not come quickly. But if you’re looking for coins to invest, then you can start with Altcoins, there are so many altcoins are really growing, even though Bitcoin seems to be in a locked position, some altcoins are still moving and it seems stop have not affected these coins.

One really good coin to check is Polkadot, and then you can invest in Tron. Ethereum is also a good one but the fees has been high lately on their blockchain, so don’t think it will be a good idea. You can as well invest your money in Bitcoin but you’re going to be benefiting from it if the price go above the current and maybe reach 100k dollars.
977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for Holders! on: March 23, 2021, 03:33:42 PM
The pandemic is not blessing for us but we have seen a huge change of Bitcoin price and broke all the records before. In this time of a year ago with compared to the present time, we can see a huge change and Bitcoin is up almost 1400%. Isn't it huge?

The next short term target is $60000. For now, next target is new ATH.

BITCOIN is for Hodlers
Not for weak hands
(I had read it somewhere, can't remember right now)
It has always been all about having patience, if you can’t have that patience you’re always going to be missing out. And another very important is trying to invest when the market is at a lower stage (during the bearish trends), I know why I am saying this, because during the heavy bearish trends the market tends to be at its lowest level and that means that when you invest at that time and there happens to be a bull market in the future, the price is likely not to come back to that low state anymore, and you will as well have the courage to Hodl. Anyone that invested $40k price will be afraid of any sudden price change this time.
978  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Loss influence in massive dump on: March 23, 2021, 11:28:34 AM
Of course it is very influential, if there is a dump then you will be safe, for example if you put your stop loss at -5%,
and when it happens dump it is at -20%, then your money will be safe from another -15% loss, of course it can.
give you a new asset again when you buy back later, even though the stop loss looks useless, for me stop loss is very important at a certain time
Stop loss is never useless, there is a reason why there is stop loss and it describes itself already.
Some people and their greediness, that’s what makes them feel like stop loss is useless.
Just because you used stop loss for once and then you ended up missing a little opportunity doesn’t mean it is useless.

There are times like you have said, when the loss will be too much, but those who are making use of the stop loss feature will have their ass saved from too many losses, but those who don’t have it on will lose way more. That’s just how it is, there will always be both sides, and you just have to know how to use it properly.
979  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Small assets, trade or invest? Good decision? on: March 23, 2021, 10:44:55 AM
And you need to be good in choosing the coin you're about to invest and buy. In short term, they are lucrative but you can't always rely on them. Most of the those that you're finding as a gem and it's not part of the most popular coins, you'll likely to see it pump and dump most of the time.
I think even when spotting and investing in good coins one should always cash their profits because being virtually rich is easy but not useful. I have at times felt like I am a millionaire because the coins I bought were rising nicely and constantly but then a drop happened and all the plans and dreams shattered. A lot of investors who bought dogecoin at $0.002 might be thinking the same but if they aren't able to sell them within the bull run, they will feel the same.

It is best to avoid those types if you're for long term but as a short term trader, you can enjoy the ride on it.
Just invest in Bitcoin if you are considering buying for longer period, yeah it sounds stubborn and common but that's the truth and hence so commonly heard and suggested.

In trading, you need to have a stronger feeling and you shouldn't have a weakness in heart when you profit. You shouldn't regret if you took already the profit.
That is an excellent point because having regrets will make you greedy next time and being greedy will eventually only prove fatal.
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ADA and eth competitors get dumped if/when Ethereum 2.0 comes out? on: March 22, 2021, 07:22:10 PM
Or will they remain stable at least?

I think I like ADA anything better than what Eth can bring out. However I hold both. I started out with more eth but have just been stacking ADA because I like staking it for passive income.

You guys have any thoughts on this?
Ethereum is already beating them with way too much gap. But ADA has been doing great sitting at the fourth position and followed by the next competitor at the sixth position which is Polkadot. Most of these coins were created to correct what a lot of people don’t like about Ethereum, but as usual the first is always being the first and that seems like it’s not going to change.

And it seems to me like a lot of people are waiting for the ETH 2.0 to be released, the way I have been seeing it trend, and when that happens a lot of them are definitely going there. But that doesn’t mean that it’s the end for the other coins like ADA and Polkadot, they are still going to be there and nothing will happen to them, no matter the position they stands at.
