981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 500$ investment on altcoin on: July 02, 2018, 06:26:14 PM
I want to invest 500$ on altcoin but I really confused on which coin I can invest and my investment will be long term. Please experts help me to choose altcoin to invest.
You could try these altcoins:-

RIPPLE
LTC
XRP

My opinion, it's will bring you a big profit in these next few weeks and It's price will be pumped & dump in the future.

Isn't Ripple and XRP the same thing.? I think you were in hurry.

Anyway, I do agree that ripple is a  good investment. It is now available for less than half of a dollar and it will surely get to double in next 1-2 months. I could not speak the same for bitcoins. Only ETH can give as much returns as Ripple but I still prefer ETH because it is a safer bet.
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good bounty manager. on: July 02, 2018, 06:21:55 PM
respond to messages quickly

This aspect is most important in my opinion. At the first place, the manager should be so clear and evident that there should be no need for sending him messages. In case, it is required in emergency and an applicant sends a message to the manner, he must get a reply.

Current situation is that there is so much competition among applicants that they choose campaigns even if this aspect is ignored by the manger.
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Quit your job to promote bounty campaigns fulltime: unrealistic???? on: July 02, 2018, 06:16:49 PM
Last night I had a discussion with a friend if it's possible to quit your job and make a fulltime living of promoting bounty campaigns.
My friend thought you need to promote a lot of bounties at the same time (100 per week), to compensate for the
uncertain number of bounties that will never to lead to any income (coin cannot get listed, withdrawal fees of exchange is too high, scam, etc.).

So the question is: do you agree with this statement?

That depends on a number of factors like the place you live and what is average income there.  A member with good rank here can make about $200-$600 per month here in bounties and that could be sufficient in some places.

However, since we are talking about taking it as full time job, it is not practical in my opinion. There is no guarantee that this work will last forever. So stability can be a problem and thus I will say that it is unrealistic.
984  Economy / Economics / Re: Factors that affects the value of bitcoin... on: July 02, 2018, 06:14:40 PM
The community of the bitcoin users are now strong, if you will observe the graph of the bitcoin; you will find out that it is continuing to become valuable because of the users who keep using and buying bitcoins.

We have all sorts of people as the part of this community now. When crypto prices were increasing fast in 2017, a lot of new investors joined in. They did not have much knowledge of crypto or were convinced of the potential of bitcoins. They invested just because they though that they can make good money out of it.

If a person makes an investment in a  project without believing it , he will not be able to remain with the project in bad times. Sane with bitcoins, such users are now selling in loss.
985  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Paypal a scam? on: July 02, 2018, 06:12:08 PM
I think he's just confused about PayPal and probably think it's a new company. Because common sense would tell you that such a huge company would not survive, have customers, if their thing was scamming customers out of money.

They do not actually scam users for their money but there are some serious issues with it. For instance, they are famous for banning accounts without any solid reason. They then hold the payments or completely deny it. There are many shad activities as well like when balance goes to negative, they will send money collectors to your home.

Only reason they are so much popular is that they do not have a good competition.
986  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is dead many times! on: July 01, 2018, 07:37:16 PM
All investments are having risk and if you take the risk it will end either earning good profit or a loss of money.

Not true, all investments are nor risky. If you make a fixed deposit in a bank, you get an assured annual return. There is no risk to that investment and you are guaranteed to get the fixed interest.

Now coming to crypto, there is more risk but so is the reward that comes with it.
987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will kill itself on: July 01, 2018, 07:35:05 PM
We all know this, but could not deny the positive values that bitcoin brings. It's difficult for the Government or the Bank admitted. But the organizers as well as blockchain is the future.

Rightly said, we cannot leave medicines because of side effects. It is primary effect (or cure) that medicine provides that matters as it over weighs all the side effects. Same applies to crypto or bitcoins. People using it for illegal means is a problem and it needs to be strictly dealt with. This does not mean we should put an end to crypto.
988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you recover from your loss in bitcoin investment? on: July 01, 2018, 07:33:06 PM
I lost some money on coins like TRON but overall it was a profit and thus there is no need to recover any loss.

However, I have got a regular job and some other ventures that give me decent regular income so I sorted on the security part. I always suggest people to consider crypto only as an additional source of money not something to reply completely for bread.
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto legal in your country? on: July 01, 2018, 07:29:00 PM
My government always positively poses for this. This is Ukraine, and how strange it is even planned to make a virtual monument to Satoshi Nakamoto ... On the pedestal, (as from the QR code). After that, there will be installation of a real monument. Cheesy

This is something I am hearing for the first time and it sounds too good to be true. I do not know how would Satoshi react to such a thing but it would make  the people associated with crypto proud for sure.

In case, he is alive (which has higher profitability), this may lead to legal issues also. Even though I would be happy to see a statue on his name if it is practically possible.
990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you wait to prove them wrong about Bitcoin? on: July 01, 2018, 07:25:39 PM
I do not think that you need to be at war with people who are against bitcoins.

People have difference of options and it is natural for people to doubt bitcoins and crypto as the concept is very new for most. If anyone talks against bitcoins, I am not very much hateful towards that person. If he is making some sense and highlighting some issue with bitcoins , we should listen to him and work on making the desired improvement.
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which crypto you prefer me to invest bitcoin or ether? on: July 01, 2018, 07:23:28 PM
I would advise you to invest in Bitcoin rather than in Ethereum, because Bitcoin price is very fast increasing compared to Ethereum price.

That depends on number of factors. For instance, the exchange you use and the trading volume of these coins on that exchange. The one that I use primarily ( a local exchange for my country) has higher volumes of BTC and thus price movement is more in comparison to ETH. This allows me to see for profit most of the times. Less people show interest in ETH on that exchange because of some legal restriction in my country.

992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is best practice for gambling?? on: June 25, 2018, 06:11:23 PM
May anyone tell me what is the best practice for gambling with little investment? I have no so much experiance about it.Any suggestion or advice.

Best approach is to do it in limits. You should actually keep yourself so much busy that you do not feel the need to go to things like gambling. Most of the addictive gamblers resort to these practices to keep themselves away from the reality. You need to take harsh decisions just once and your life will get sorted.

The key to stay way from gambling for long time is to develop passion for something that you enjoy more than the former.
993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TIPS to be come victorious in bitcoin on: June 25, 2018, 06:09:14 PM
Here are some tips to be victorious with bitcoins :

1) Invest only the amount that you can afford to loose. This will ensure you never sell in loss due to panic.

2) Do proper research about the current market situation.

3) Instead of investing some amount on a fixed time per month, buy at dips.

4) Personally I believe more on holding than trading in case of bitcoins.
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling is portrayed negatively almost everywhere? on: June 25, 2018, 05:54:04 PM
Risk level is too high that’s the reason why they portrayed gambling negatively.
You may lose all your money within few seconds and that’s what people are afraid of.

Don’t compare it with trading, there is a huge difference. In trading you have variety of options to minimize your loss but in gambling you don’t have a choice.

There are many similarities in trading and gambling like :

1) In both trading and gambling, one can increase chances of success with experience.

2) Both can get addictive after initial successes.

3) There is always some sort of luck involved in succeeding. The percentage is more in gambling though.
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling Versus Traditional Gambling on: June 25, 2018, 05:51:43 PM
Well for me I would more likely prefer traditional gambling over online gambling because for me there's a high percentage for you to be decieve compared to traditional. Though you can still be decieve in tradtional gambling but you may spot the anomalies happen unlike in online if they set an script upon it, there's nothing you can do about it. Furthermore, it is better to play with interaction with people rather than to interact with people through your computer.

I agree with you completely. There are ways to reduce the incidences of getting cheated on online websites though. Most of the new players will however, will not be able to observe patterns on online websites easily.

I have been victim of this on some online websites and sad thing is that those websites are still running successfully after so many years.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to spot a scam ? on: June 25, 2018, 05:47:02 PM
Most of the reviews online are the reason why people keep falling victim to same scams on the same websites all over again. Those reviews are faked and sponsored by the scummy gambling sites. I have often seen the good websites are always underappreciated and scam sites like betcoin/vegascasino/bitcasino are highlighted as the best. Bitcointalk is the only place to seek for legit reviews. If that doesn't convince you, you can always start a new thread asking for suggestions.

That is a big problem. There is an industry based on these fake reviews. Most of the websites have their own team or outsource this work to post good reviews on various platforms for their website. It is very hard to find genuine reviews about gambling websites. Also, regarding bad reviews, some even go to the extent of posting those for their competitors.

Personally, I trust the reviews given by experienced members here.
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how long you can stay without gambling? on: June 25, 2018, 05:39:20 PM
Yeah! Only addicted gamblers have the problem to stay away from gambling for a long time because they can’t meet their basic needs without the money that comes from gambling. I think this is the first characteristic of gambling addict that is he can never ever stay away from gambling for a long time which would be of two or three days for him.

Two or three days ? Believe me it is hours.

When I was addicted to card related games, I used to play for more than 12 hours a day. I never showed that much dedication for anything in my life till that point.

End result was all my bank accounts got stolen and I had to live in depression for few months. Finally, I got over it slowly and now I can live even for years without gambling. I often forget the username now on the the card game sit that I was addicted to, it is name followed by an year .
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The consequences of gambling on: June 25, 2018, 05:33:28 PM
I have to point out the obvious thing here.    When gambling or maybe doing anything at all, do not constantly borrow money.

After I ended up all my bank balance, I asked a relative for very small amount of money to gamble. I did not told him about the purpose and thus he even gave me the money. I lost that also and it really made me feel shameful. That was few years back and it was a wake up call for me. All my life, I have never borrowed money from anyone except this case.

999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories! on: June 25, 2018, 04:45:27 PM
I was out of gambling for a while because of my emotional gambling nature.
I try to do sports betting as mathematical as possible but often I get overwhelmed by loss.
I had decided not to bet above $100 on any bet.
Germany being my favorite team, I put a $500 bet against Mexico, which I lost.
That increased my frustration and I came to bet $1000 on portugal. And to my luck I won it at 1.65 odds.
But if I would have lost, I would have been cashless and betless for the rest of world cup.

I am happy that I have no interest in Football  so there is no question of betting on these matches.

I had some interest in cricket in past but I never made any bet on them also using nay betting website. Now I hardly  get time to even see any sports so betting is not an option for me.
1000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did the use of online gambling increase with crypto moneys? on: June 25, 2018, 04:43:44 PM
Of course a remarkable increase of online gambling has been observed with the increase in use of cryptocurrencies.
The reason why i am saying that is launching of many successful online gambling sites and platforms which are using cryptocurrencies.
Cyrptocurrencies has made online gambling industry more attractive and convenient while insuring anonymity.

1) I am not aware of stats but more payment options are an advantage to players. Some players might not having access to a particular payment type and can thus use crypto.

2) Launch is not a good parameter to judge. Profitability of those sites is.

3) Anonymous payments is the biggest advantage for gambling sites.
