981  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar & extortionist. Get him out of DT! on: November 14, 2023, 10:47:05 AM
You are crying for 2BTC where the other person were trusted with 500 BTC. Do you really think your level and his level is the same?

You are talking here as if 2 BTC is a miserable amount. I don't know how much you have in your wallet, but you must know that even 0.02 BTC changes someone's life, you certainly don't know how much someone missed those 2 BTC and now they are crying for them. You are certainly right, it is not the same level.
Let me mention, that I have no knowledge about this case and what exactly happened with those 2btc, don't belittle someone's money, someone you don't know much about.
982  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: November 13, 2023, 02:16:03 PM
Just a thought, wouldn't it be fair if we had a feature where we could report such topics or posts to administrator [not mod] to reverse the merits. The goal for merit system is to appreciate good posts, not the empty posts. If it was one or two which happened accidentally then it seemed fine but when a user constantly is trying to remove his contents but keeping the merits earned by these contents then it become weird.

I think there was a similar discussion, it was about merit farmers and resellers, where posts were deleted to reduce the possibility of recognition of giving credit for meaningless posts between alt accounts.
Although I am sure that Ratimov did not plan such an epilogue.

I'm interested in why the threads that Ratimov cleaned of their content are not deleted. As far as I can see, they are all still there, although they are now useless. I was reported to the moderator by one of those, but I see that the ad is still unhandled.
983  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ChicksX - ✅ Bitcoin Exchange Services ✅ on: November 10, 2023, 04:57:01 PM
Hi, thanks for your feedback, we will resolve both points ASAP.

Ok for deleting redundant identical bumps, but the faulty link remains, and that is very easy to fix
So, instead of
Code:
http://"https://chicksx.com/"

remove first http:// and "". So it will looks like

Code:
https://chicksx.com

and your bump post can be written as

984  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: November 10, 2023, 02:23:00 PM
This is too ironic to not touch this subject: here, Ratimov is complaining about incorrect quotes of his "original data":

It's even more ironic that he published his original post with all the data, I guess he couldn't bear for someone else to take credit for publishing some kind of link collection.

I have a proposal for NotATether. As I already have a certain collection of these and similar services prepared for one website, I can start a new thread with a structure and design not related to Ratimov's previous work. I need two or three days to put it together and check its relevance, and in a longer period I will deal with such topics, so there should not be any complications regarding the update.
985  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forget about exchanger search! Use BestChange! on: November 10, 2023, 02:03:00 PM
Is there a possibility of finding out why Changenow is disabled on your monitoring? Does it have anything to do with the changenow.io They are robbers case, as far as I can see, this is the last feedback that still has the status as unresolved.
I hope you will share information about the reasons, also, I believe you understand our concern if a service turns into a scam and we all need to be informed about it promptly.
986  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: changenow.io They are robbers. on: November 10, 2023, 01:52:15 PM
OP, Some time has passed, are there any changes here, any updates?

As for the Changenow exchanger, there are changes here, for example, they are disabled on Bestchange monitoring. This is new and it would be useful to know what happened in the meantime. https://www.bestchange.com/changenow-exchanger.html
I see that they have some kind of invasion of positive feedback on Trustpilot, it doesn't seem natural anymore, as if they want to hide something.

987  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Motivation for Beginners, @Bitcointalk.org Users on: November 10, 2023, 01:39:33 PM
So, here's what happened, before I posted this "Beginner Motivation", I had also done a post which was quite time-consuming, and when I uploaded it to this forum, for some reason someone reported my post, and there was complete proof. "Content detected 90% of it comes from AI".
About 5 posts that I made were deleted from the forum, then I tried to double-check and look for a solution related to this, in my mind, if left like this, most beginners who have just joined and made posts will definitely feel disappointed if their posts are considered spam or AI content.

#Already long X wide, as if not appreciated.

So don't use AI tools to create posts for this forum.
We all know about the existence of AI tools here, but few of us want to talk to a machine. AI-generated texts are often useless and unreadable because they do not contribute new ideas, but only pure expression of phrases.
Even if it's true that you didn't use AI for your posts, and they were deleted again by the moderators, that's just a sign that you wrote something completely off-topic and useless. This should be a signal to you that you need to raise the quality of what you write, not just throw out a bunch of text.
988  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ChicksX - ✅ Bitcoin Exchange Services ✅ on: November 10, 2023, 12:13:01 PM
Online @ chicksx.com

Hey, there's a couple of things I need to bring to your attention

First of all, delete all previous bumps before posting a new one. It's a forum rule, and the thread looks terrible.
Post format like "Online @ chicksx.com" gives the impression that you were offline, so everything is fine now. It is not attractive to new users.
You should check how you wrote the link here, and whether you even tried to click on what you posted. The URL you posted currently looks like this
Code:
http://"https://chicksx.com/"

I assume you know what a website link looks like correctly.

We have paid for 1717 out of 2110 posts this week. Another best week?

Cheers,

@philipma1957 is unbeatable.
Well, I've been trying to get over it, but he still manages to make more posts than me. This week there was a difference of almost 20 posts.

I'll have to take action! This way, it cannot continue.  Tongue

EDIT: Have a good week everyone.

990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Angry at the high fees? That's what everyone predicted the future will be like! on: November 09, 2023, 11:44:39 PM
At this point it is becoming confusing. I read somewhere that the high fees is as a result of Ordinal or NFTs on the Bitcoin network. According to the said comment, the Ordinals is a new trend that is massively being traded, hence the congestion of the Bitcoin network.

Exactly!

So can't this be considered the opposite of what you wrote in the first post?
Aren't a bunch of miserable transactions with overpaid fees a kind of attack on the network? this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5473421.0

I understand that miners are fine with this.

No matter what the reason of high fees these days, just look for alternatives to combat the high fees.
If you can use other top alts to trade, better look into this matter rather than look for such reasons why.

This follows on from what I wrote above referencing Bitcoin users to altcoins. No, I don't want to use any other altcoin instead of Bitcoin.
991  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Motivation for Beginners, @Bitcointalk.org Users on: November 09, 2023, 11:25:51 PM
Yeah, that's true, sometimes I also wonder, there's a new account of less than 2 months, and it's already a full member.

Things escalated quickly.
You started this topic in the hope that it would be of help to newbies, two hours later you asked questions about how to become a full member in less than two months.

What happened with this thread title and first post?
Former Binance Card users, what are your next options?

The OP no longer wants to maintain this thread as well as several others he started.
I suggest you start a new topic and ask a question that interests you. Here in this board or the exchanges category.
993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Raspi 4 for Bitcoin Node: Still Compatible? on: November 09, 2023, 02:59:56 PM
If you used the asus for your node and your bitcointalk laptop along with lite browsing like amazon and ebay shopping you would be happy. that is an 11 year or 10 year old laptop.

no gaming. I even think you could youtube, netflix and run the node.

I should did up my thread and run some netflix while it does the node.

No, he would only use that laptop for that one purpose to run nodes. No internet browsing, Netflix or whatever.

The problem here is the lack of RAM, I don't think it's even possible to upgrade to more than 4Gb, I'm not even sure about that much. It's about some old Dell XPS machines, tiny and in solid condition.
I just checked: bitcoind currently uses 6-9% of one Xeon core, and 3% of the system's 32GB RAM. Except for the IBD, it really doesn't take much resources.
It's been a long time since laptops with only 1 core were sold, so it depends on which CPU you have. And if it's 15 years old, chances are it lacks RAM too.
994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Raspi 4 for Bitcoin Node: Still Compatible? on: November 09, 2023, 01:23:10 PM
I yell and scream and complain about anyone using a rasp pi to run a node.

I recently did a thread here about getting an older gen3 i7 laptop by asus. only 8 gb ram in it. and a 500gb spinner. the cost was zero.

I think this is about the only advantage, which is the lower consumption of electricity to run the nodes on the Pi. Plus is much more discreet because it requires much less space than any personal computer.

btw. Speaking of this, based on personal experience, what is the recommended minimum hardware CPU/RAM? Does it make sense to start a node on a laptop with 1 core?
995  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: illegal and humiliating video verification in Rollbit.com on: November 09, 2023, 12:36:08 PM
OP was subject to further KYC checks due to the initial information not being enough to verify we were dealing with the true account controller.

Keep in mind this call, and any actions on the call, are completely voluntary. The sole purpose of such calls is to verify identity. These are specifically good for cases where we may expect prolific abuse (repeat abusers).

Honestly, this justification of yours is a bunch of nonsense. After this harassment, are you sure that the OP owns that Binance account and how do you confirm if someone does not have an account on Binance but uses instant (NO-KYC) exchange?
Can you state the reason for the initial KYC check and what exactly was missing to prove the ownership of the account, because you asked for additional harassment of the user?

Quote
Video KYC interviews are certainly not unheard of. While it may be uncommon, it's not something exclusive to Rollbit. I'm aware of examples, including from personal experience, from much larger services than ours.

I have never heard of someone requesting access to an exchange account or email inbox.

"Unusual" wouldn't be the first word I'd use to describe what OP is claiming Rollbit required of him, and it would have been nice if he'd provided some evidence that any of this actually happened, because if it is indeed true it's disturbing.  And OP, I'm not accusing you of lying; I'm just being skeptical of what I see as an extraordinary claim.

Honestly, when I first read the subject of this topic, I thought that they were asking for something perverse from him.  Roll Eyes
They just announced about this disgrace, they don't seem to deny that this happened. The way Rollbit runs its business is exactly what we are fighting against on this forum.

997  Economy / Services / Re: EmoneyMax.net Crypto Marketing Service: 30-50% lower prices during next 2 weeks! on: November 09, 2023, 12:12:42 PM
I have link to emoneymax.net website in my forum profile, am added on the website footer as an owner also in descriptions about the team, enough to check this (before you start to "assume" and "accuse" me for paid promotion)

and why I don't advertise emoneymax.net here on forum?
because we openly use "shilling" word in our offer and people here on forum can be compared to bulls and "shilling" word to red blanked

I'm not accusing anyone, I just have a certain amount of reserve when some statements come from someone whose job description is to embellish reality. You are already a well-known member here, so your words carry more weight than someone who only refers to your name as an older brother.

998  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: illegal and humiliating video verification in Rollbit.com on: November 08, 2023, 10:56:40 PM
First I have to turn on the camera, which is fine, but after that they force me to share the screen and show:
1. When I go to the Rollbit website, it’s ok.
2. How I go to the website of the Binance exchange, from where I made deposits, and live showed my Binance profile, all my transactions, my balance, and the verification section. This is illegal, Binance has nothing to do with them.
3. Your Google profile in Chrome. Yes, yes, they even wanted to see this, they checked that the name matched the one indicated on Binance and in the Rollbit profile. This is also far from legal.

This is a very unusual way for the KYC procedure.
If I may ask, did this happen before or after your withdrawal? Also, are you sure that this KYC request coming from Rollbit officials?

I would advise you to check your device, PC, mobile or whatever you were using. Also a mandatory change of security data, on the device as well as on the Binance account and Google profile in Chrome. Maybe even change the email address you've used so far on Binance.
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Eclipse | Monero Giveaway on: November 08, 2023, 10:31:54 PM
You can claim a slot by following these five simple steps:

Step one:

Merit this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5465798.0

There is a button on the right side of the post header that says +Merit press this button and give the thread one or more merits.

Meriting the official eclipsepayments.com thread is the first step.

Remove this requirement as soon as possible.
Merit as a condition for participation in the giveaway is an indirect way of buying merit. Even if it is not interpreted like that, it is not desirable to ask for merit, then it's begging.

Can I ask for merit?

There is no need to do this and this behaviour is usually seen as 'merit begging' which is frowned upon by the community and may lead to you receiving negative feedback. Keep making quality, constructive posts and you will surely be rewarded over time.

Can I sell merit?

Selling merit is disallowed.

Also step two, demanding and conditioning to comment in the ANN thread and offering a reward for it is prohibited.
1000  Other / Archival / Re: 🌀 [banned mixer] - CoinJoin Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: November 08, 2023, 10:11:35 PM
My advice is to everyone that whenever you need to access a mixer or any financial site where money is involved, first search the site, make sure it is the authentic one, then bookmark it and then always open the site from your bookmark so that this google thing won't take you to a scam site.

Unfortunately, this kind of advice remains here, where most users in the know recognize the original site.
Some kind of warning, a link to this thread for example, to check if the site is legit would probably help. Scammers on phishing sites avoid leaving links to the original source, and once the users get used to the fact that it is a mandatory part of the site, maybe it would at least partially increase safety.
