There is a Gridcoin Finance projects that is being run by the dev. It deals with options analysis, those of you who deal with financial markets may find this interesting. I trade FX mainly, I never really understood options for some reason.

I have noticed the same thing. The only thing people care about are pump and dumps where they can make a quick buck. You would think people would support noble projects like Curecoin and Gridcoin, but majority are not very interested. That is why the world is such a mess, everyone is out only for themselves.

What is going that the price still dropping?
It's quite simple really.  The majority of people aren't interested in helping anyone in this world and the only people having any real interest in this coin are the miners who seem only too happy to dump at pointless prices.
Plus the only real exchange it is on(poloniex) is being heavily manipulated by a bot which no one wants to trade against.

989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Official Gridcoin Boinc Milestone Thread : 500,000,000 million so far! on: June 29, 2014, 05:04:03 PM
When I look at the top team in Boinc, it is SETI. I can't believe people are donating so much resources to looking for Aliens, then to medicine and physics and many other much more relevant projects to the well being of the human race. I still like SETI and have it added to my Boinc projects, but I think people are going overboard with it.

The 500mm milestone = est. $300,000 in compute resources donated to scientific research!
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Gridcoin" - A viable idea? on: June 29, 2014, 01:36:19 PM

CPU mining is fully functioning.

http://gridcoin.us/guides/Mining/cpumining.htm

explain please, on the official site FAQ it is told that the CPU mining with BIONIC is temporarily disabled, however at forums speak that it works. That is it is possible to continue a CPU mining for the sake of participation in the BOINC projects without remuneration by a coin?

wait till we get the new p2pool up, it will be much easier to mine.

hi guys.
Help with a problem.
when I run a miner in the pool, I am closing gridcoin Wallet(gridcoin-qt.exe).
start production in solo no such problems.
gridcoin Wallet can work from 30 minutes to 12 hours, and close.
Ran through the console and a separate mining cgminer-3.7
the problem is at work in the pool.

sorry for the bad translation, do not know much English.

New p2pool for Gridcoin, still on testnet only for now, but so far looks like everything is working. This will be the first method of mining GRC that will be share based on Boinc RAC (recent average credit). So you won't have to solve whole blocks anymore, now you get paid just like any other scrypt coin pool.

Publicly they can't come out and be against it because the FED is really unpopular now, so they are playing nice for the Public, but I assure you behind the scenes things are not as peachy.

Janet Yellen is that who said Federal Reserve has no authority to regulate Bitcoin?
