1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Secure Web3 Email the Future of Online Communication? on: June 13, 2024, 06:46:13 AM
Regular email works fine. If you need something more secure and private there is ProtonMail or any of the various communication apps with end to end encryption. Not everything needs to have web3 added onto it. This seems kind of like a gimmick and an excuse to create an unnecessary token. There are better alternatives already that don’t have a token attached, so I don’t see Ethermail getting much adoption outside of a very small niche.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I hide the source of my Ether without Tornado Cash? on: June 13, 2024, 06:01:24 AM
There was a guide posted here yesterday but it seems like it was deleted!? Can anyone tell me if this would work, and/or why the comment got deleted?

https://monero.forex/how-to-make-bitcoin-and-other-crypto-anonymous/

It is obvious you created an alt account just so you can reply to your own topic and promote your website with affiliate links, that is why it was deleted. You could have just posted a guide without the fake interactions and lame shill attempt. As for how effective swapping to Monero would be, it is probably better to do it through a peer-to-peer exchange or through an atomic swap than using a centralized service. Instant exchanges aren’t meant to be mixers. Chainanalysis can see when you deposit tainted funds on an instant exchange, law enforcement could just come to them and ask to see their logs.

Potential fight in the horizon?

https://www.talkimg.com/images/2024/06/07/cPHGj.png

https://x.com/BoxingKingdom14/status/1798977039317467432

One of the dream fights for sure as boxing fans wanted to see this hypothetical fight happening in the future. In case though, how do you see the odds here? Who will be the favorite?

@Finestream - that is the true odds for now, so much disrespect for Estrada though.

Inoue doesn’t need this fight as much as Davis does. Inoue is a top pound for pound fighter with a hall of fame worth resume. Tank should be more focused on champions that are in the divisions he competes in like Loma and Shakur, but it is very clear that he is avoiding them. There is absolutely no reason for Inoue to make all kinds of concessions to give Tank an advantage.

If PBC wants to make that fight, Tank should be the one going down in weight or at least agree to a reasonable catchweight. There is also no obligation for Inoue to go to Tank’s country. They can make it happen on neutral territory, like Saudi Arabia.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I hide the source of my Ether without Tornado Cash? on: June 12, 2024, 04:54:58 AM
Tornado Cash isn’t gone. You will just have to use a different frontend and connect your wallet to an RPC provider that doesn’t censor Tornado Cash to interact with their smart contract. You can also use a wallet that is integrated with Railgun’s privacy system to anonymize your activity.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this a scam attempt? on: June 12, 2024, 03:23:31 AM
It is certainly strange that this user is sending unsolicited messages to various users. The messages themselves seem inoffensive but it could be a social engineering attempt where they are trying to gain your trust.

The user tajimas has previously mentioned that they are a reporter. I don’t believe they offered any proof of this, but even if it is true, he is going about getting information in a way that makes people suspicious.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Rematch: FURY vs USYK 21st December 2024 on: June 11, 2024, 06:23:32 AM
Either I incorrectly translate or understand word meltdown, but isnt it when person goes crazy? The moment when he got bipolar disorder? The moment when he had alcohol addiction. The moment when he was so depressed, that he wanted to crash his car and commit a suicide? Last two fights shows that Fury isnt Fury used to be. There is something with his head definitely. Knockdown from Ngannou, knockdown and save by ref in fight against Usyk. What would we get from third fight? A knockout?

Fury has considerable wear and tear but he is not completely shot. If he were, Usyk wouldn’t have been so bruised up the next day. Without the knockdown, the fight would have been a 3-way split draw. It was close enough that Fury deserves some benefit of the doubt. He could make some adjustments that could result in a different outcome. I wouldn’t favor Fury in the rematch but it isn’t a foregone conclusion that Usyk will win again.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: June 11, 2024, 05:55:17 AM
Ryan seems to have fall from grace after winning the fight against Haney.
He was arrested just today due to vandalism. Beverly Hills Hotel accused him of vandalism and the damage was estimated at $15,000.

https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/40309457/ryan-garcia-arrested-alleged-damages-hotel-beverly-hills
It's reported he is intoxicated but normally, the hotel will just ask to pay for damages but looks like they call the police lol its going to make things worse.

Ryan’s behavior outside the ring is an indication that it was not just an act when he was saying and doing crazy things. He is not mentally stable and should seek treatment. When you have the wealth that Ryan has, people are going to be intimidated about confronting him and trying to help him because he can cut them off financially and use his influence to make their lives unpleasant. Even his promoter is going to tolerate his actions because he is their biggest cash cow.

At some point Ryan might become a danger to himself and somebody is going to have to step in and intervene.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could Fan Tokens: be a New Trend in Crypto? on: June 11, 2024, 05:34:05 AM
Fan tokens were a trend during the last bullish cycle. There was many popular teams who partnered with Socios to launch their own token. The process of acquiring these tokens was convoluted and was probably a reason why people lost interest. In order to buy these tokens you first needed to buy Socios’ own Chiliz token and then buy the team’s token. They were also not on a popular blockchain like Ethereum or Solana but on the Chiliz Chain. Socios clearly put their own interests ahead of the fan communities and the result is that these tokens plummeted in value.
9  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Urgent security alert: Over $1 Million stolen from FreeBitco.in on: June 10, 2024, 04:12:26 AM
I'm trying to reach out to the team... I can provide all the necessary information. There have been multiple thefts. I hope they'll contact me through this channel. If not, I'll have to share everything. However, my goal isn't to expose them and bring them down. Besides, other scammers might exploit the breach if it's revealed.

There have been some well publicized accusations from users claiming they had funds stolen due to a potential security vulnerability, but nothing close to a million dollars even if you add all of them together. Something of that magnitude would have to affect their wallets directly and not just a few compromised customer accounts. Since there are still many people using the site, any information you have would be of immense value to the community. You don’t have to reveal exact details, but you can reveal just enough so we know you are credible and not just trying to scam your way into receiving some kind of compensation.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny - Pacquiao VS Chihiro Suzuki Exhibition Match on: June 10, 2024, 03:54:30 AM
I heard that Pacquiao is planning on fighting WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios later this year. This exhibition with Suzuki is just a tune-up fight to shake off the ring rust before facing Barrios. Even though Suzuki is a good MMA fighter, I don’t expect him to be much of a threat to Pacquiao in a boxing match.

If Pacquiao struggles, then he can forget about challenging a world champion, because even somebody as mediocre as Barrios will send him back to retirement. At his age, it is probably better for Pacquiao to stick to exhibitions and collect an easy paycheck.
11  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] WasabiCoordinator.IO - Wasabi Wallet Coordinator on: June 10, 2024, 03:41:33 AM
Somebody tried this service yet?
Is there some risk that a Wasabi coordinator like this will steal my coins?

The coordinator never has possession of users’ bitcoins, so they would not be able to steal them from you outright. They could try and overcharge you in fees, but the most recent version of Wasabi Wallet has some safeguards to prevent this from happening by letting you set a maximum amount you are willing to pay in coordinator fees. By default, Wasabi will only let you coinjoin with coordinators that have a 0% fee, so you would have to increase this to use this coordinator.
12  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Thoughts on Passkey wallets? on: June 09, 2024, 06:29:05 AM
I am worried that with passkey wallets, I will end up losing or breaking the device where the passkey is stored. You could have it backed up in the cloud, but then you are relying on a third party. If someone has their iPhone stolen and the thief resets their iCloud password, they could end up without any way to restore their wallet. There are too many scenarios that I am imagining where I could possibly lose access to my funds, based on my understanding of passkeys.

If it is proven to be a secure method for backing up a wallet then I might give it a try, but for the time being I will keep using traditional seedphrases.
13  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: The Downfall of FreeBitco.in [YouTube] on: June 09, 2024, 05:53:06 AM
The system is provably fair, the fact you or other user hasn't won the jackpot doesn't mean other users or you can't win later on. We used Freebitco.in for years, not even "over a year", and never ever rolled more than the 2 basic prizes. Our system is exactly what they do. The difference is they keep on paying these rolls on a hourly basis (huge mistake), and they have 0 customer support.

You either do not know what provably fair means or you are intentionally deceiving users of your sites. It is impossible for anybody to verify whether or not their results were manipulated. There is no server seed hash shown prior to rolling. Users cannot choose their own client seed. In fact, there are no server seeds, client seeds or nonces. It is just a random number generated through some undisclosed method on your server and displayed to users. It is not verifiably fair, we have to trust your word instead that you didn’t manipulate the outcome.
14  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: The Downfall of FreeBitco.in [YouTube] on: June 09, 2024, 03:55:46 AM

So you're digging into a review from 2023 and don't even know how to read?

So you haven't seen the 3 last words in his review? "Update - Withdrawal Received". Updated within 24 hours of posting this review.

The withdrawal was received only after it was pending for months, not 24 hours, and also after unsuccessfully trying to get support through Twitter and YouTube. People shouldn’t have to jump through so many hoops to have their withdrawal processed.

You also probably haven't seen our response to that complaint neither.

Your response is just a claim, without evidence, that people do win higher prizes. Even if they did, we already know the results are rigged because users are lied to when they are told the faucet is provably fair. Over a year of rolling on 3 sites and that user only won an amount so low that, without gambling a considerable amount, it would take several lifetimes for any user to reach the minimum withdrawal.

And yet that is your screenshot you chose to post here.
Pathetic.

There are plenty of bad reviews to pick from if that one isn’t satisfying enough for you. Many of them calling your website a scam, some users waiting 6 months to receive their withdrawal.

15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How does this Bridge make a profit exactly? on: June 08, 2024, 11:35:15 AM
It’s 7% because they only sent a dollar. If they sent $10,000 I am pretty sure the fees wouldn’t of been $700. It was some transaction fee or transfer fee that they deducted from the USDC.

With stablecoins some chains have slightly different prices but they are never off by 7%. Try and find some other transaction which has a larger value being bridged than $100 and see if the fee will still be 7%?

Of course, the percentage will be smaller for larger transactions. A small percentage can still represent a decent profit. Here is a transaction where a user bridged 525.13 USDC on Ethereum and received 522.69 USDC on Base. The difference is 2.44, even though the bridge contract only used $0.004 in gas on the Base network. https://explorer.synapseprotocol.com/tx/1990271054d10b0af3ffc5aa31b92a89ca63b41e8dda604d0fda709f5b9c6b99?chainIdFrom=1&chainIdTo=8453

The only transactions they don’t seem to profit from are when bridging from any network to Ethereum, because Ethereum fees are so high. The spread is only enough to break even or have a slight loss, although there are very few transactions where Ethereum is the destination chain.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on Litecoin (LTC as Bitcoin L2) using Counterparty or similar tech on: June 08, 2024, 11:03:23 AM
Bitcoin-pegged tokens exist on altcoin chains so that it can be used for DeFi purposes. Litecoin, Dogecoin, and other fairly launched altcoins don’t have DeFi. The only benefit you would get would be cheaper fees,  but since it would be token on top of LTC or DOGE, the fees would still be higher than just using the native currency on those blockchains.

I don’t see there being much interest in a BTC token on Litecoin. People wanting to use BTC with lower fees already have options like Lightning or Liquid. Lightning, in its current state, might be too cumbersome and Liquid is too centralized, but in my opinion they are better than a band aid solution built on an altcoin blockchain.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: June 08, 2024, 10:08:41 AM
Postponing the fight until November means that this will be another wasted year in the career of Jake Paul. His only fights in 2024 will have been some stiff named Paul Bourland and Mike Tyson, who they dragged out of a retirement home. This is following up his 2023, where he beat up a washed up MMA fighter and an Uber driver. With such an impressive resume this might boost Jake from the top 120 in BoxRec’s cruiserweight rankings into the top 115. His accomplishments are truly pathetic, but some people will insist he is actually serious about trying to become a real contender.

Freebitcoin.io, your faucet, accused of being a scam. Withdrawal pending for months. THE WRITING WAS ON THE WALL 12 months ago.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's Your Take on Celebrities Backing Memecoins? on: June 07, 2024, 05:14:01 AM
These are all pump and dumps. There have been several investigations and there is usually a large percent of the supply held by the creators of the token and insiders who bought tokens before the public was able to buy some. This isn’t much different from the NFT trend from several years ago where most of those NFTs promoted by celebrities are almost nearly worthless or dead by now.

Despite what she might claim, Iggy Azalea’s memecoin, is most certainly a scam, if you look at all the evidence.

You wouldn't receive coins because given address is incorrect. 1Jw8cBgPcKYqVLSzFEsRTZD7HNdJTwX3N <-- This is the address that you tried to withdraw to and when I type this address on Blockchain.com

1Jw8cBgdPcKYqVLSzFEsRTZD7HNdJTwX3N <-- This is your real address.
1Jw8cBgPcKYqVLSzFEsRTZD7HNdJTwX3N <-- This is the wrong address.

Where did you get the incorrect address from? There are so many screenshots but I couldn’t find this address anywhere. You may have just typed it wrong on blockchain.com and left out the first ‘d’.
