Is there a chance some really big shit is going on in their lives, and they are incapable of going online? For like... A month? I really can't believe this is an exit scam. The service seemed legitimate.

I'm really pissed off, and not because I lost money; fortunately, I had grasped that "don't leave coins to third parties" cliché. I'm so pissed off because I've been advertising and recommending this shit for months, in such a way that I'm practically part of this scam. And it's just feels awful.

It makes you question the integrity of the service you're currently carrying in your signature.

One of the main developers for JoinMarket is going through long covid and was offline for many months yet the service still continued running smoothly but these guys can't process withdrawals because they were on a trip? Did that trip include meeting with law enforcement because otherwise this makes no sense and just looks like a typical exit scam.

I don't have a problem with mixers existing and advertising their business but considering how often they shut down due to scam or government seizure on top of being centralized, closed source, and custodial they are at the very bottom of privacy services that I would consider using or recommending.
783  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: August 18, 2023, 03:09:54 AM
Take McDonalds rebranding for example. Search in google how McDonalds looked 20-40-60 years ago. They have completely change the way their restaurants look, the way employees look (uniform), the way menu look (wrapping and etc). Do you think less people started to visit McDonalds or change their taste? Imho every company needs a rebranding. Standing on one place, while industry is walking forward is wrong. Rebranding was needed. In fact, Elon has changed only the logo. Everything else stayed the same. Users habits remained the same. Every single button is on a same place.

Changing a site's interface is quite common but this is completely different. If McDonald's changed their name and logo overnight it would be a really big deal. So far not many people are calling Twitter by it's new name so the rebranding is not very effective. This one thing might not be what kills Twitter but if they keep making unpopular changes people will become frustrated and abandon the platform.
784  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Have you ever been scammed ? on: August 17, 2023, 04:28:35 AM
#3 is perhaps the most common and something I have experienced myself. Many years ago I invested in several high yield investment programs and they always exit scammed. A few times I was lucky to have made a profit before they went bust. There was some cloud mining programs I invested in which seemed too good to be true but I got caught in the hype after seeing a few investors getting massive returns.
785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Anthony Joshua vs Robert Helenius (replacement) on: August 13, 2023, 02:44:34 PM
Cutting weight in a short amount of time alone will not help Robert Helenius in this fight, so it was a given verdict because it is literally impossible for someone to be battle ready after a fight a week ago in the professional level.

There should be no weight issues at all. They were fighting at heavyweight where there is no limit to how heavy you can be. Maybe if there was some disparity in size they might try to put a clause in the contract but that was unnecessary here as both fighters are naturally close in weight.
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free NFTs real or fake? on: August 13, 2023, 12:53:00 AM
A .US domain can be bought for as low as $0.99. Scammers love to use cheap domains because they can just move their site easily whenever one of their scam domains gets suspended. Whoever is running this site didn't bother using a WHOIS protection service so we can see what information was used to register this domain. Although they might have used fake information there might still be enough clues to figure out who is behind this scam.
787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Anthony Joshua vs Robert Helenius (replacement) on: August 13, 2023, 12:36:31 AM
While the knockout might have been devastating, this wasn't such a great performance by Anthony Joshua. He gets hurt any time a punch lands cleanly and he gets hit too often. A fight against Wilder will certainly be explosive but it is highly likely that AJ will get badly hurt.

I tried the exchange today and it seems that there is some issue with the code TheQuin.
After the exchange a green popup was displayed saying I can play the spin in the new tab that is opened.
But I didn't get any new tab opened and eventually I had to play the spin by going to homepage and clicking on my WoF spins.

That is your browser settings blocking the page from opening. When I exchanged some RP for 1 spin I got a little icon in my address bar and a notice saying a pop-up window was blocked. Clicking on the icon opened up the WOF spin page.
790  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin's American hand will be cut off on: August 10, 2023, 02:04:16 AM
Putin interfered in the US election because he is an evil monster but America interferes in other countries, like the recent coup in Pakistan, because they are protecting freedom. This McCarthyite propaganda is so laughably stupid.

But many people see it as a plan by the ruling party to undermine his chances of winning the next elections.

Of course that's what this is about. American presidents commit crimes with impunity on a regular basis. Obama bombed a wedding in Yemen and a Doctors Without Borders field hospital. Biden is currently looting Syria's oil and other resources as they face a humanitarian crisis due to recent earthquakes and exacerbated by US imposed sanctions. Meanwhile, all the deranged bootlicking creeps in the media are still obsessing over the debunked Russiagate nonsense.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: August 06, 2023, 06:32:03 PM
Diaz looked really sloppy and extremely slow and yet managed to win a few rounds on the scorecards. Jake Paul only proved how mediocre he really is. After almost 4 years of warm up fights it’s time for him to step up his level of competition. He couldn’t even beat Tommy Fury who isn’t a serious boxer so I am not sure what he can accomplish. Perhaps switching to MMA is how he keeps the cash cow going. I’m sure he’ll follow the same blueprint of only fighting washed up old men from lower weight classes.
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 06, 2023, 02:59:41 AM
Not sure if you are aware that the Joshua vs Whyte fight has been cancelled already due to Dillian Whyte tested positive for some ban substance through Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).

In any case, match room's Eddie Hearn can find a replacement fighter here so that this fight is not totally postponed as others boxers in the undercard have prepared already. And for sure we will follow the case as Whyte is going to appeal and proved that he is innocence.

With Whyte's past history of failed drug tests, Eddie Hearn should have been smarter and had a backup opponent on standby. The last time Joshua fought a replacement opponent it ended in humiliation. Maybe they will not risk the massive payday against Wilder and just remain inactive until December/January.

794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miami Mayor Francis Suarez to accept presidential donations in bitcoin on: August 05, 2023, 03:35:33 AM
He is accepting donations through BitPay which is not very bitcoin friendly. I first heard about this story because shitcoiners on Reddit were celebrating that a presidential candidate was accepting their favorite shitcoin. The bitcoin stuff just seems like pandering. If he was a real bitcoiner he wouldn't be using BitPay.
795  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which app would you recommend for crypto news? on: August 04, 2023, 06:04:02 AM
I read Coindesk and Cointelegraph on the web but the only app I use regularly would be the Bitcoin Magazine app. It has the added benefit of rewarding you with a few sats that you can withdraw through the Lightning Network. The only negative thing about it is that it has a lot of ads. If the ads are too much of an inconvenience you could just go directly to their website or use an adblocking DNS provider.
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mistake that prevented your big win. on: August 03, 2023, 04:36:21 AM
After losing a few times using Martingale strategy I have not made such a big mistake again. I would rather play it safe than lose big. The downside of playing it safe is that you also won't have very big wins. There's been a few times where I chose a huge underdog, like Holly Holm against Ronda Rousey, but I was too scared of losing that I chose not to place a bet. The next day there was stories of people winning thousands of dollars from that event and I kind of regretted my choice.
797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: August 02, 2023, 04:26:50 AM

Maybe the outcome of Canelo vs Jermell Charlo fight is very important because if Jermell Charlo were to win, I'm sure Crawford would see it as a good opportunity to fight Jermell Charlo by moving up, as a win would make him more popular.

How about Crawford - Canelo both have a claim to be a crowd drawer and a pound-for-pound king, I don't think Canelo can impose his skill and power against Canelo the way Crawford devastated Spence if they cross their path I hope they do, Canelo will have a beating more than what he gets from his fight against Bivol.

Crawford is already 35 not many years left in his boxing career, so his promoters and handlers should think of fighting fighters in the pound-for-pound list that he can fight in a catch weight.

That is a 3 weight, 21 pound difference. I doubt Canelo is capable of going down much further than super middleweight. If Crawford moved up and beat Canelo he would undoubtedly be considered among the greatest fighters ever. The difference is just too much for that fight to be possible any time soon. We could still get an idea of what would happen if Crawford fights Charlo and then we can compare their performance against the same fighter.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Slot Streamers on: August 01, 2023, 07:11:29 AM
I've only heard of streamers like Corinna Kopf and Adin Ross because of the drama they are always involved in. I didn't even know Kopf was a gambling streamer. I just thought she was another OnlyFans girl like Amouranth, who isn't particularly talented, but still gets viewers due to her looks. I honestly have no interest in watching these kind of people with trashy content.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title on: August 01, 2023, 06:44:11 AM

Casimero is just surrounded by unprofessional people some of them are ready to exploit and his lifestyle made it worse. Even after the Butler cancellation, it took nearly a year for Casimero to fight again. Whereas Tapales after becoming overweight in his supposed WBO 118 title defense, move up right away in his next fight which made Tete the interim champion elevated as the new WBO champion which he later lost to Casimero.

Meanwhile, Casimero should continue to stay active because once Inoue becomes undisputed, I believe he is the main target of the first undisputed title defense and there is no chance of saying no once that opportunity comes. If in case Tapales becomes undisputed, the more Casimero needs to stay active to force a mandatory shot probably via WBO since the IBF and WBA already had their mandatories waiting to be announced.
https://www.talkimg.com/images/2023/07/31/Qb7E9.png

I like the idea of Inoue staying in the division to defend his belts. Nery is banned from fighting in Japan due to his failed drug test and missing weight against Yamanaka. Inoue will have to either fight him in the US or fight Casimero instead. I think many Japanese people would like to see Inoue avenge their countryman, but there is also those who believe a dirty fighter like Nery doesn’t deserve another opportunity.
800  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Had 165k ETH stolen last night. on: August 01, 2023, 01:05:47 AM
CertiK's Skytrace is a blockchain exploration tool that might be helpful in tracking your stolen funds. Using a hardware wallet wouldn't have been helpful if you already interacted with a malicious smart contract and hadn't yet revoked it's permissions. Your wallet has thousands of transactions. With that level of activity you are bound to lose track of what contracts you've approved and what sites you interacted with. Scammers are clever and will disguise their scam to look legitimate enough so that you will overlook it amongst all your other activity.
