941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder - May 6th in Mexico on: May 07, 2023, 05:36:21 AM
As expected Canelo wins convincingly but not by a knockout but by a unanimous decision Ryder proves to be a very tough customer, he came to fight not just to collect a paycheck, Canelo shows brilliancy but each time he has an opportunity to knock out Ryder, John Ryder shows excellent defense.
After this win, he has no option but to fight Benavidez or avenge his loss against Bivol he cannot have another kind of cherry-picked fight and ends up like this.

Canelo is still good in his defense and offense but it should be tested by tough fighters.

It was a dominant performance but I think a younger Canelo could've gotten the knockout. Canelo is not that old but he's been around a long time and is showing some signs of decline. I would not favor him to beat either Bivol or Benavidez.

For how long is roll history is available to the user? [vg. number of days, number of rolls, etc]

From what I can tell only up to a month of roll history is available. This has always been the case for me as for as long as I remember.
943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 23, 2023, 07:06:44 PM
Did anyone see a confirmation on Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence to fight on June 17 or is this confirmed to be really an April Fools joke? I am waiting more than 1 hour for the announcement.

Mike Coppinger confirms this fight is happening at least once a month. He's wrong every single time. I don't even bother listening to the rumors anymore. Spence hasn't fought in 12 months so he is due for his lone yearly fight. It's a shame all these PBC fighters aren't more active.

Ryan received clean shots while Davis simply dodges his attack. Davis made him look like a rookie.

Doesn't need a rematch, Ryan is definitely not the kind that can defeat Tank. I rooted for him actually with a small amount expecting 3x lol But when I saw he fell in the 2nd round, the difference in points favors for Tank to win which Ryan will be daunted.  He still keeps launching though until the body shot.

Ryan is tall and can hit hard but that's about all he has going for him. He is not on the same level as the top lightweights. As long as he can remain popular on social media then he will still continue being an attractive opponent but I don't see him becoming a champion unless he moves to 140 and beats the weakest champion.

The description for this app is really vague. Why does anybody need a "Terminal" to access FreeBitco.in? What the hell is a "Terminal" and how does it work? In all likelihood this is either malware or some shady way of redirecting users to their referral link. The website already works perfectly fine on mobile web browsers, going through a third party app is unnecessary and comes with major security risks.
945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: April 09, 2023, 04:35:01 AM
Another one-sided dominant performance by Shakur Stevenson. They are already trying to build up Shakur vs. Haney. If Haney beats Lomachenko, they will be expected to fight each other and I think the winner should then be considered the best pound for pound fighter in the world. As good as Crawford and Spence are, they have waited too long to make that fight and I think these younger guys are surpassing them by trying to get the best fights made instead of hiding behind promoters.

947  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Don't Connect Your Wallet With This Scam ZkSync Airdrop Website on: April 03, 2023, 05:15:02 AM
I've seen lots of accounts on twitter and Reddit spamming links to zkSync related scam websites. I saw so much spam related to zkSync that I had assumed it was a scam project but it turns out they are a legitimate Ethereum scaling project. They do not have a token yet so users should beware of anybody offering them an opportunity to join their airdrop.
948  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duckdice.io Fake Trustpilot Reviews on: April 02, 2023, 12:40:56 AM
The way you misspelled the words "message" and "received" are dead giveaways that you faked the conversation in these screenshots. "massege" and "recived" are not common misspellings of these words. For two different people to make the same uncommon mistakes is clear evidence that you are just trying to scam.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: March 28, 2023, 02:16:30 AM

Recently I found a new poll, and now I'm not so sure that Trump has good chances to become the next president. Here it is:

Source: https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/favorability/donald-trump/

I personally think that Trump is going to lose more of his popularity in the nearest future, and so I wouldn't bet a dime on him to become the next president.

Imo, it's either Ron DeSantis or Joe Biden, but also Kamala Harris and Michelle Obama are worth some consideration regarding betting on them.

Biden's poll numbers are similar to Trump. Neither candidate is very popular. Kamala Harris is doing even worse. US elections are no longer about which policies you support but which candidate you hate enough to go cast a vote against them.
950  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: March 27, 2023, 05:15:17 AM
Am I the only one who just noticed the delete function is no longer available?
I can't really say whenever exactly this function was removed but I only noticed it today. To be honest, am not very have especially with this changes, I can say this has affected me directly, other changes he made around twitter has no direct impact on me as this does. Elon needs to be careful with these several changes before he makes the platform unusable.

They are constantly making changes since Elon's takeover. It was working fine before but now they have made the user experience much worse in order to try and extract the most value from this platform. There is a ton more ads to make up for the advertisers that left and my feed is full of random people's tweets who I don't follow, which seems like a poor attempt to increase engagement.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: March 26, 2023, 06:24:01 AM
Plant was starting to get cocky early in the fight. He started off great but once he felt David's power his strategy fell apart and he turned into a punching bag the entire second half of the fight. I'm impressed that it went the distance with the amount of punishment that Plant took. Benavidez is indeed a monster and this makes me much more interested in seeing him fight Canelo. He has earned that opportunity. That is a fight where either guy could win by knockout so it is going to have a lot more demand with boxing fans than Canelo against Ryder or a rematch against Bivol.
952  Other / Off-topic / Re: Been feeding this cat that visits, but I am moving... on: March 26, 2023, 06:08:29 AM
The cat might be sad for a few days but it will eventually move on. They are intuitive enough to figure out that new people are now living at this house. Cats are natural hunters so they will know how to survive when you are gone. You are probably not the only person in your area who feeds stray cats so I am sure it will be fine and find a new place to visit for dinner.

The outcome is already predetermined but no one has told me and anyone else why when we use Play All button we only see 4 prizes and when we play every time each spin by clicking the Play One all the prizes are on the Wheel of Fortune.I have tried both options with clicking each spin being done early and I have received better prizes I don't know why just pure luck and randomness while lately now that I play Play All button I keep hitting only normal base prizes and once a while a Golden Ticket rarely.

I love to click each spin separately but lately I have lost patience and just hit the Play All button.

It only shows 4 prizes because the iPhone, Rolex, and Amazon gift card prizes are paid in BTC.
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH the King of Altcoins ? on: March 24, 2023, 06:25:27 AM
ETH has solidified it's position at the top of altcoin market cap rankings. Many of the most popular projects on the Ethereum blockchain can also be found on Binance Smart Chain, but even if you can replicate anything on ETH on other blockchains it has not been enough to dethrone it. People seem to trust the more established and less centralized coin.
955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun sued by SEC. Effect on Bitcoin? on: March 23, 2023, 04:19:10 AM
I'm not as optimistic as some other people in this thread. Whether Tron is a centralized shitcoin is of little importance to the SEC. Anything that is a threat to the US dollar they will try to go after. Tron just happens to be an easy target but it is naive to believe they won't ever go after Bitcoin.

The list doesn't inform the number of each winning ticket [from 1 to 210,542,874]

The number of the winning ticket is determined by the provably fair formula. If you do the calculations then you will find that the first place prize ticket number is #26,607,501 which belongs to user ID 3153515.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder - May 6th in Mexico on: March 19, 2023, 10:32:02 PM
@mirakal - yes we can look it that way, but maybe it's the fault of the governing body that they have a interim champion that we didn't know and probably it's because Canelo is the cash cow and wanted more name fighters and thinks that Ryder doesn't deserved it. But Canelo doesn't have a choice now, he is coming from an injury and this is the right time to give Ryder his chance, beat him and remove that interim title for him.

More often than not it seems like the sanctioning bodies will mandate whichever fighter is handpicked by the champion's promoter. We saw this with Keith Thurman being named Errol Spence's mandatory even though he wasn't the most deserving fighter. Ryder doesn't deserve to fight for the undisputed title but he is with Matchroom, who is Canelo's preferred promoter, so the WBC will just go along with whatever is most beneficial for Eddie Hearn.

Earlier, I had speculated that the size of the base rewards of the wheel of fortune might start decreasing in the range of $30k-33k, but it looks like the freebitcoin team decided to lower that range to $25k-26k. As an example, here is a post of a user who used spins on May 8, 2022, and his base reward size was 47 sats while the BTC price was in the range of $34k to $35k that day.
And I calculated that the minimum reward of the WOF spins will go below 50 when Bitcoin price will reach above $40k. The base reward was around 33 satoshi when Bitcoin price reached it's ATH. I think they have lowered it earlier to minimise their losses. Because, they are giving away a lot of extra rewards to their users through the premium membership benefits.

$40k used to be the original threshold for where base rewards would start going below 50 but that threshold has been steadily decreasing since late 2021. In retrospect, it does not seem like the high APY for FUN savings plus premium benefits on top of that was sustainable so like other yield generating crypto investments they needed to make adjustments.
959  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin continue to rise on: March 18, 2023, 05:03:01 AM
Bitcoin will eventually rise back up to $50,000. The time and date is what is unknown. It will not happen overnight. The conditions are there for it to continue going up. There have been some recent notable bank failures. People are less confident in their government as we're seeing with protests across France. We are also seeing the US dollar starting to lose it's dominance as a global reserve currency. Regulators might try to suppress its adoption but there are too many things trending in Bitcoin's favor right now.
960  Economy / Reputation / Re: How wide reaching can the consequences of Chipmixer money laundering be? on: March 16, 2023, 11:15:54 PM
I think this puts to rest those conspiracy theories about Chipmixer being a honeypot operated by government agencies.

I doubt this will affect regular users but there is a possibility they could try to shut down this forum. There is already a similar precedent when Deep Dot Web was seized by the FBI. It would be an overreach for them to go this route but if they really wanted to shut down BitcoinTalk this would be their best opportunity. As far as I'm aware Chipmixer didn't advertise anywhere else besides this forum.
