621  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the fall of Elon Musk's empire imminent? on: October 20, 2023, 05:52:16 AM
Right now Twitter is struggling and losing users because of Musk's poor choices. Implanting chips in people's brains is just a really dumb idea. I have a feeling the government will eventually shut that down. SpaceX and Starlink are some of his better ideas but there is enough competition that it might be difficult to make those companies profitable. As long as there is an endless supply of fiat then there will be people willing to invest in in his ideas no matter how ridiculous they might seem, but I wonder how many self-inflicted wounds he can sustain before he does something that ends up being the straw that breaks the camel's back.
622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 19, 2023, 09:29:25 PM
As I've matured and come to understand Bitcoin better I have learned the importance of saving. I am not really impatient and waiting for a bull run to cash out. This would mean holding fiat which will eventually lose its value due to inflation. I actually get more anxious about not having enough Bitcoin. The benefits of holding bitcoin for a long time far outweigh any short term profit I might earn.
623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Logan Paul Vs Dillon Dannis and KSI vs Tommy Fury Today! Oct 14th on: October 19, 2023, 07:52:16 PM

Jake Paul is such an obnoxious clown that if that fight ever got made it would break PPV records because of how many people want to see Jake Paul get smashed to pieces. In recent days, Canelo was feuding with Conor McGregor on Twitter so there is a chance he might be interested in these exhibition fights. Influencers keep using his name for publicity but these fights make so much money that he just might consider it. It is certainly less of a risk and possibly more lucrative than fighting a dangerous, young knockout artist like David Benavidez.
624  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: October 19, 2023, 06:24:22 PM
Well now Elon Musk is going to fight bots with the 'Not a Bot' program he is starting. It will begin in countries of New Zealand and the Philippines for price of $1 each year.

New accounts will be allowed to tweet, reply, quote, repost, like, bookmark, and create lists. I think this is a good start to fight off the bots.

https://www.engadget.com/x-is-starting-to-charge-new-users-1-per-year-to-send-tweets-000925191.html

Maybe you'll get rid of a few bots but you will also drive away legitimate users by putting up a paywall to use Twitter. Real users might not want to pay even $1 because using centralized payment systems usually involves disclosing personal information. Bot farms won't care and will just buy up old accounts from non-paywalled users for pennies on the dollar. This will deteriorate the quality of the site even more which will drive out more users, which will drive out advertisers, which will lead to more rent seeking from Musk. He is creating problems for the purpose of selling the solution.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 19, 2023, 09:02:28 AM
This is certainly sad news. This announcement was also mentioned in Teddy Atlas' podcast and he expressed the blame on the promoters. It was very much similar to what I have said about much of these boxing events being similar to scam ICOs where the promoters hype the ICO, collect the money then dump on their own customers hehehehe.

These ICO scammers do not add anything to the cryptospace and similar to some of these events, they do not add anything to the sport of boxing.

Showtime is the network trying to convince us that Tank Davis is a champion in many divisions because of all these BS interim belts he won from the corrupt WBA. In fact, many PBC on Showtime fights had some sort of WBA title at stake. They legitimized these scammy organizations and are paying the price for it. Haymon will probably manage to get a deal with another network only to leave them holding the bag for these overpaid phony champions.
626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney on: October 19, 2023, 08:05:08 AM
I already voted for Haney by decision but personally, I want Prograis to win. So I support Prograis because he is the more exciting fighter by delivering knockouts in most of his fights.

Same here. Haney is a boring fighter and he should not be undisputed at the moment as Loma schooled him hehe. I just hope though that Prograis would knock him out because if this goes the distance, most likely Haney will win by decision as judges will favor him. We may not like him but Haney has also this amazing "Mayweather-like" defense.

Haney might try to emulate Mayweather’s style but he is a cheap knock-off. Since becoming champion none of his fights have been entertaining. Gamboa is a fighter that gets dropped almost every fight and Haney couldn’t hurt him. Linares, another washed up old guy hurt him badly. Joseph Diaz made him look average.

I think Haney will probably win but it’ll be like most of his other fights where he hugs his opponent all night.

Hello please help me I am the winner of lambo round 9 please tell me how to claim my reward I have tried to contact them on support email but they are not responding to me my ID is 13517688

I am sure you will receive your prize soon. They are not always very timely and the drawing was just a few days ago. I would wait at least a couple of weeks from the date of the drawing and then create a scam accusation in the proper section of this forum if the prize is not yet received. I doubt it'll come to that. Their representative TheQuin usually logs on about every 1-2 weeks and will see all the comments in their main thread and will provide assistance if necessary.

He posted a screenshot on twitter a day before the drawing showing how many tickets he had. At that point I don't think it was possible to know how many tickets an account had besides our own. He had the exact same amount of tickets as the announced winner. https://twitter.com/Eivor879/status/1712374780907712600

His nickname here and on Twitter(X) don't match. So why do you think this screenshot was posted by him? Besides, such a screenshot can't be proof of winning because it can be easily faked by a dev tool in any browser. By the way, you should pay attention to the winning percentage on this screenshot. Don't you find the winning chance of 26628200% suspicious?

His display name on Twitter is Qadeer King and on bitcointalk his username is kingqa980, seems similar to me. Also the screenshot on twitter shows the same phone UI in the status bar as the screenshots in his deleted post found on ninjastic.

Sure you can fake a screenshot but how would they have knowledge of the total tickets the winner would have a day before they held the drawing? The winning percentage has been bugged for a while and many people have mentioned it in this thread.

I have won the lambo round 9 challange on freebitco.in please tell me how to claim the reward because the support email is not replying to me I have already sent many mails on support@freebitco.in
You are right to come to this thread and look for answers to your questions, I think the representatives from freebitcoin who are on this forum might be able to help you immediately to solve the problem and guide you on how to claim the prize, because I have never won a Lambo so not really I don't know a lot about their process of paying out winners, but maybe we'll know in some time after you get a direct answer from the freebitcoin team in this thread.

Congratulations on your win whether you are a real person or not, at least you provide a screenshot of your account ID so that everyone is sure that you are the winner of the Lambo and wants to know how to claim the prize, if you have already sent an email to their support you should not send many emails just one email and wait for them to reply because it will create a pile of unnecessary emails. Hope you get a quick response from the freebitcoin team soon.  Wink

Honestly, I am skeptical of such messages from a newbie, and I wouldn't rush to congratulate him until he provides proof that he really won the Lambo lottery. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the freebitcoin team send a letter to the lottery winner's email every time? I'm more than sure that they explain all the details of receiving the prize in such a letter.

He posted a screenshot on twitter a day before the drawing showing how many tickets he had. At that point I don't think it was possible to know how many tickets an account had besides our own. He had the exact same amount of tickets as the announced winner. https://twitter.com/Eivor879/status/1712374780907712600

633  Other / Politics & Society / Re: To american people : do you appreciate "Israël" to steal your money ? on: October 17, 2023, 10:07:26 AM
Israel doesn’t steal our money. We happily defend Israel because there are those who want to wipe them off the map. I think a lot of military folks think of Israel as a proxy between the US and Middle East. If Israel were to collapse or be destroyed, then next target would certain be the United States of America.

There is nothing defensive about the inhumane cruelty Palestinians have been subjected to for decades. America can defend Israel without giving them carte blanche to commit war crimes.

Israel’s security concerns shouldn’t be a pretext for stealing land and displacing people from their homes. Zionists aren’t blowing kids heads off and dropping white phosphorus munitions in densely populated areas because it’s going to make them safer.

The reason why so many Americans support these unhinged murderous racists that run Israel is because they’ve been conditioned through the media’s whitewashing of Israel’s atrocities to think of Zionist occupiers as victims. Then there are those who are just as depraved and share many of the same values as these Zionist freaks.

635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Drake's Curse. on: October 16, 2023, 06:26:26 AM
I wonder how his endorsement deal with Stake works. Their brand is all over his Instagram, where he has over 143 million followers. Every time he posts a bet slip it gets noticed by major publications. The reason why Drake's Curse is even a thing is because of the enormous publicity he receives. It wouldn't be unreasonable to assume he is making as much money as some of the highest paid athletes in the world. Betting a few hundred thousand is probably nothing to him. What he earns from the endorsement is more than enough to cover his losses.
636  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your take on the pump coming? on: October 16, 2023, 06:02:34 AM
I invested all my savings in Bitcoin to pump coming in Bitcoin. Because I believe that Bitcoin will give me a return of 3 to 4 times my investment when the Bitcoin market pumps up. Because after pumping the price of Bitcoin it can be up to around 120k. That's why I invested all my savings in Bitcoin with strong faith in Bitcoin. And I believe that Bitcoin will not let me down.
Overconfidence can be detrimental. Are you suggesting investing all your savings in Bitcoin with unwavering confidence? That's not only unnerving but also considerably risky for your future financial well-being. We can't predict how strong our resolve will be during bearish periods, and unexpected needs might arise, compelling us to withdraw a portion of our savings.

Confidence is important, but it must be tempered with wisdom when making financial decisions. Long-term financial stability ensures our survival and the ability to enjoy life. Don't allow yourself to succumb to frustration and stress.

I don't have that kind of confidence that we are certain to have a massive pump with 3-4x returns. I am however confident in bitcoin as a project that I have most of my money in BTC. I believe that having a decentralized and permissionless form of money will always be needed so it is unlikely Bitcoin will fail. Just looking at the state of the world and how easy it is for governments to dispossess people of that which they have earned is terrifying. While I do hope the price goes up, and I am hodling more and spending less in anticipation of this, Bitcoin is more important as a tool against oppression and economic subjugation.
637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs Ethereum VM to reach its full potential — Web3 exec on: October 16, 2023, 04:56:07 AM
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-needs-ethereum-evm-botanix-founder

Botanix Labs founder Willem Schroé argues a “huge amount of value” from real-world assets will be captured on Bitcoin, provided it connects to the Ethereum Virtual Machine.

Mainstream Bitcoin adoption won’t happen until it bridges to the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) — the first point of entry for many real-world assets moving on-chain, a Web3 executive argues.

If that's true then it doesn't look for bitcoin. Might as well invest in ethereum...

Ethereum has even less mainstream adoption than Bitcoin. Complex computations are possible on Bitcoin with BitVM. Bitcoin doesn't really need to be a world computer at the base layer.

Spiderchain, which this guy is promoting, is a layer 2 which doesn't require a fork. He is free to work on this EVM bridge but like with ETH and all of its clones I expect it to attract many scammers and junk projects.

Today I checked my Freebitco account and found that I have 10 Free Spins. May I know how often will i get these free spins once i play them all  Huh

I played two of the free spins today and got RP points both times. Did any of you play these free spins and what prizes you have won from this?
Let us share your experiences and any tips to get a big prizes from these free spins, I still have 8 free spins left Tongue

It depends on how you got those spins to begin with. If you got them by buying enough Fun Tokens to receive premium benefits you will get free spins each day as long as you don't sell or withdraw your tokens. If you got free spins by exchanging reward points then you will have to exchange some points again to receive more spins.

I usually only win the base satoshi, RP, and lottery ticket prize. Occasionally, I get the second and third tier of those rewards and some lambo tickets. The results are determined in a provably fair manner so there is no secret to getting a higher prize.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tszyu vs. Mendoza Confirmed for WBO Title Showdown on October 15th on: October 15, 2023, 06:18:06 AM
Tszyu got off to a slow start but once he let his hands go he was able to dominate with his power. Mendoza has a head made of granite to be able to take that punishment. Tim might not be as talented as his father but he is a solid champion. His pressure style would be a problem for Charlo if he decides to go back down to reclaim his title.
640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Logan Paul Vs Dillon Dannis and KSI vs Tommy Fury Today! Oct 14th on: October 15, 2023, 01:50:08 AM
Lol, Dillon didn't even attempt to win, and then he try to choke Logan Paul as he was clearly beaten. It's obvious that he didn't even train for this fight and just to get his paycheck.

KSI vs Tommy Fury fight as well was lackluster, Fury with a majority decision.

And just like what we have been saying, this guys are just for the entertainment and big paycheck and nothing more.

I didn't really care about this event and didn't watch it but I saw that it was trending on social media.

Dillon Dannis and Logan Paul was the battle of the shitcoin scammers. Both of them are guilty of promoting NFT and memecoin garbage so they could dump on their dumb followers. They're both losers regardless of the outcome of this farcical fight.

Fury is supposed to be a "real" fighter so going the distance with a YouTuber in an underwhelming performance is really embarrassing. He is just trying to milk his last name and reality show fame to make some easy money and has already seemingly given up on trying to be a serious contender. I would say that he tarnished the family name but as we all know the Furys really love the spotlight and being the center attention is more important to them than having prestige.
