881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: July 11, 2023, 01:06:22 AM
Right, Tank vs Garcia is very different though, I mean the hype is really huge and PPV reaches more than 1 million. And I remember that we have discussed speculations about how big this fight it in terms of PPV and if I remember it correctly, we did somewhat agree that the numbers could be around 300,000-500,000 buys. But we will see.

It's getting closer, I can sense on some boxing forums that the hype is building already.

I also read some comments of former opponents of this two boxers, like Porter and they have given their own opinions about this fight.

The promoters of this fight made the PPV more expensive so it will have a hard time matching Ryan vs. Tank's numbers. Today's generation of fighters need to have a strong social media presence if they want to attract the biggest audience. Earlier this month, an influencer boxing event broke records on Twitch by getting over 3.4 million live viewers and over 100 million have watched the replay. Crawford and Spence aren't at that level of popularity but I think the years of anticipation and hype will lead to a big viewership.
882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: July 11, 2023, 12:30:57 AM
When I was new to Bitcoin there were a few times where I lost my entire balance due to Martingale strategy. When you first start out and you go several minutes without losing it feels amazing. It feels like a perfect strategy until you hit a losing streak and everything is gone. When you are acting greedy you tend to ignore reason and don't think about how severe your losses can be. I don't make such foolish mistakes anymore but occasionally I'll mess up by doing something like betting 50,000 sats instead of 5,000 and it can ruin your mood for a while if the bet doesn't turn out in your favor.
883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Crypto coin Do You Gamble with the Most? on: July 10, 2023, 11:35:32 PM
I have always preferred Dogecoin and to a lesser extent Litecoin. These coins are not worth as much. If you gamble with Bitcoin and go on a bad losing streak you could lose a lot of money. Cheaper coins allow you to try riskier strategies while risking less money. I only gamble for fun so it doesn't matter if I lose a small amount of Doge. With Bitcoin even losing a few sats can feel bad because of how much work I put into acquiring it.
884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My First Wallet. on: July 10, 2023, 09:37:01 PM
Trezor has official resellers in multiple countries so that could be one way of avoiding import taxes if you live in one of those countries. There also have Amazon shops, although it is only in the US and some EU countries version of Amazon so you would still have to pay a fee if you're outside those regions.

Safepal is a wallet I have seen advertised a lot and have seen some YouTube videos about this wallet. It is a fully offline wallet that communicates to internet connected devices through QR codes. It is a secure wallet if you are looking to store altcoins. For Bitcoin it is still good enough but it is not as fully featured as a Trezor, Ledger, or ColdCard.
885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 10, 2023, 05:09:07 AM
Elon Musk is one of the biggest trolls on social media. He is also an attention whore. I have no idea if this fight is really happening. Earlier today Musk proposed a "literal dick measuring contest". This all just seems like a big joke to him and he is loving the attention he's getting.

Based on eye test alone it is obvious to see that Zuckerberg is in much better shape and would probably defeat Musk with relative ease. Musk's ego won't allow him to be humiliated by his rival so he'll likely just stick to feuding through social media.
886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robert F Kennedy Jr a Bitcoin Holder on: July 10, 2023, 04:39:02 AM
RFK Jr. is one of the few politicians who truly understands what Bitcoin is about. He has always made positive remarks about Bitcoin, which is refreshing to hear coming from a member of the Democrat party that has oftentimes been outright hostile towards Bitcoin. Elizabeth Warren is perhaps the most famous anti-Bitcoin politician. She loves using the "Bitcoin is only used by criminals" cliche. Kennedy on the other hand has promised to protect bitcoiners' rights to hold and use BTC.

Biden is extremely unpopular even within his party, so it's a perfect time for a challenger like Kennedy. It'll be extremely difficult for him to win the nomination due to the mainstream media and the pro-establishment Democrats doing everything possible to discredit him.
887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Emmanuel Navarette - Aug 12 on: July 10, 2023, 02:12:11 AM
This is a really exciting matchup. These fighters styles are made for each other. Several years ago some people were saying that Valdez vs. Berchelt would be fight of the year but it did not live up to the hype. This time I believe it will be different because Navarrete can take a punch very well. Valdez doesn't have the best resistance but he will always keep coming forward and throwing punches even when he has been hurt. It is hard for me to predict a winner because they are evenly matched. Navarrete has less wear and tear but Valdez has greater experience. I think it will be a close fight and we might possibly see a rematch and a trilogy.
888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: July 09, 2023, 02:02:40 AM
For casinos having a referral system is worth it if they can attract a few whales. There is not a lot of mainstream ad networks that allow gambling adverts so the traffic generated by affiliates is very important to them. For the average user who is only going to invite a few friends and earn a few bucks it might seem like a waste of time. For webmasters and social media influencers who can consistently drive traffic to casinos it is possible to earn enough income to live off of. Even small youtubers and Twitch streamers can make a lot of money if their content is targeted at a wealthier audience.
889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an opportunity for the unbanked. on: July 09, 2023, 01:06:46 AM
Yeah, bitcoin is an opportunity for the unbanked people. There are lots of people from the 3rd world/poor country where they don't have access to the banking system. But the problem is, is bitcoin the best option for the unfortunate people? Can you afford to lose their money due to volatility? How many merchants or people are willing to accept bitcoin as a payment. How safely do you think they can keep their money? Bitcoin does allow people to be their own bank, but it is not the perfect solution for those people. Maybe there are other altcoins out there that are more stable, cheaper and faster to use, they can try those. But yeah, those aren't bitcoin, so the risk is equally high here.

Most USDT is issued on Tron so a cheaper, faster, and more stable option already exists and it has gotten meaningful adoption in some third world countries. Stablecoins might be more convenient but they come with certain tradeoffs. They are centralized and your funds can be frozen at any time. For everyday payments stablecoins might be fine but for long time holding I would still prefer Bitcoin where I don't have to worry about inflation devaluing my savings over time.
890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XMR transaction with 2 and more outputs on: July 09, 2023, 12:14:40 AM
Hi, how can i make one transaction with 5 outputs sent to the same output address,
I did not understand your question. Do you mean that these 5 outputs belong to the same wallet, if that is, you are re-sent to your wallet, and here all Monero wallets support this, or are they for new outputs or different addresses.
If the addresses are different, you have some options. Use the CLI wallet[1], where using the commands you can create a transaction and specify the number of output pairs, or use the Feather wallet[2].

Hi yes it must be the same wallet, 5 same value transactions to the same address.
I am found tools in Feather wallet >> pay to many. It's worked. Not sure that in right way but worked.

The pay to many feature is the correct way to do this. In the pay to field you would enter the destination address and payment amount separated by a comma. Then repeat this 4 more times on separate lines.
891  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: July 08, 2023, 11:40:46 PM
As dwyane36 already mentioned, the price skyrocketed from 0.0042$ to 0.0075$ without apparent reason... Right now it is hovering around 0.005$ but it also shows it can be risky to bet on the price as the price can jump with almost 90% out of the blue.

It looks like there was a reason for such an unexpected pump, but I just didn't pay attention to it at the time. It turns out that there was an announcement back on July 2 that FUNToken has been added to the ChangeNOW service. Overall, it's good that there is another service for exchanging FUN tokens, but it's worth noting that there is quite a big spread at the moment. For example, if you want to buy FUN tokens for BTC, the exchange rate will be ~19 sats, while the rate for selling FUN tokens will only be ~15 sats.
Well it's a big pump for only a listening on this exchange. If it's the main reason, the market had overreacted IMO and I'm not surprised by the market correction which happened lately. FUN is around 17sats ($0.0051) now. Anyway thank you for the news.

The partnership with ChangeNOW had already happened last month so I don't think this was the reason for the pump. Their Medium page mentioned this partnership on June 7th.

In the last five days FUN's trading activity on Uniswap has dramatically increased. Most of these trades are associated with something called MEV bot. Trading volume has also increased substantially on Binance where many where worried about a possible delisting due to it being under $100k recently, but it is now over $700k. My guess is that arbitragers rushing in to buy cheap tokens is what caused the price to explode.
892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Anthony Joshua vs Dillian Whyte II on: July 08, 2023, 04:18:40 AM
A rematch that was not really necessary due to Joshua winning the first match by knockout but it should still serve as a good tuneup for him if he is indeed going to be fighting Deontay Wilder in December. Whyte, despite not being world class anymore, is still a dangerous fighter with respectable power. AJ can't afford to take him lightly. He needs to make a statement to prove he can still compete with the best heavyweights.

894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an opportunity for the unbanked. on: July 08, 2023, 12:14:19 AM
I have never had a bank account and that is why I am such a strong supporter of Bitcoin. Coming from an immigrant background I have seen how frustrating it can be dealing with banks and traditional finance. In case of an emergency there is no guarantee that you will be able to provide assistance to a family member since there are many hoops to jump through whenever you want to send a substantial amount of money. There are also some banks where you cannot open an account due to not having the right kind of identification. With Bitcoin those kinds of issues don't exist. It is just a matter of gaining enough adoption so unbanked people don't have to continue living as second class citizens.
895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin on: July 07, 2023, 11:03:14 PM
Hodling your Bitcoin is the best thing you can do with your investment. You can never trust anything that claims you can earn yield by giving them custody of your BTC. Celsius is one of the most notorious examples of what can happen if you don't hold your private keys.

Accepting Bitcoin in a business that you own yourself would be a great idea, but getting someone else who doesn't understand it to accept it for you seems coercive and I would not feel comfortable making that suggestion until I was sure my mother had a sufficient understanding of how Bitcoin works. If you are an employee at your mom's shop or anywhere else then you are free to do whatever you want with your income, investing in BTC being a reasonable option.
896  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is it nomal for BLACKJACK.FUN to investigate for more than 6 months? on: July 07, 2023, 10:16:37 PM
Are you going to learn from your mistake or you are going to keep complaining? You did something wrong that's why they have to investigate and it's not even handled by the casino team themselves.

Lock this thread and wait for that 6 months first before you continue to complain, if I ask you want you did wrong I'm sure I won't get any answer, can you be bold enough to tell us what you did wrong? Others can learn from your mistake.

When next you plan to do something unusual, make sure you read the casino ToS first, some have everything they don't want their customers to do in their ToS, this is why it's better to spend time on the ToS first.

This was solved already so there is no point in throwing accusations. The user was able to successfully make a withdrawal so it means they didn't find any evidence of wrongdoing. There are many factors which can lead to delayed withdrawals. I prefer to give both sides the benefit of the doubt until there are enough details to decide which side I will support. In this case the investigation was concluded in a reasonable amount of time for the size of the withdrawal so everything is good.
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogefuck blockchain - Yes or No on: July 07, 2023, 04:41:26 AM
I googled the name of this to confirm my suspicions of it being a scam. Of course, it turned out to be a scam. The creator has already changed his twitter bio to remove any mention of this shitcoin and made a post a few days ago promoting early access to some new scam project. Any coin which tries to ride Dogecoin's coattails is certain to be a cash grab that will be dead in less than a year. This coin doesn't seem to have even made it one week. Their website is just a parking page right now.
898  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is the Binance the next to bite the dust or FUD? on: July 07, 2023, 03:56:27 AM
@Z-tight. It appears the panic is slowly coming among people who really know what is happening. According to Fortune magazine, Binance's senior executives quit after CZ's response to the DOJ's investigation.

I want to know what was CZ's response and why this caused the most important people in charge of compliance to leave. The article is not very clear on this. Are they implying that CZ does not listen to the advice of his executives anymore?

In any case, are we witnessing FTX collapse 2.0?

CZ is saying on Twitter that this is all FUD. Maybe people are making too much of some of these recent departures and it could just be normal turnover, but it seems very clear to me that regulators are looking to make an example out of Binance. There are currently ongoing investigations in several countries right now so just dismissing everything as FUD does not give me ease of mind. Do Kwon and SBF also reassured the public that everything was fine before their projects collapsed. If Binance fails it would have an even greater impact than the collapse of FTX and Terra Luna.
899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 07, 2023, 03:05:06 AM

Quit gambling now!

If you decide to quit gamble or take gamble as entertainment only, welcome to join me.

I hate gamble!

Hey man! You're contradicting yourself. You said it yourself you hate gambling and at same time and same time you're giving out a clarion call for people to join you in gambling as for entertainment purpose. If you hate a thing you're supposed to do it entirely. If you have decided to quit gambling great for you but you don't need to drag responsible gamblers into your tent.
For the link provided can you do well to explain what's behind the link some of us are curious and dying in suspense to know what's behind the link as we're careful not to expose our security and data to malware trap.

Kick is a new streaming site similar to Twitch. It uses the same backend technology as Twitch, that's why they look very similar. It isn't malware but also not really worth clicking through. The OP's channel is just him streaming for many hours each day auto-rolling tiny amounts of XRP on WolfBet's dice game. Doesn't seem like he is very sincere about quitting gambling and is just creating threads for self-promotional purposes.
900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter Granted 3 Money Transmitter Licenses, Possible Bitcoin Integration? on: July 07, 2023, 02:21:19 AM
We really don't need a new payment app. The way Twitter has been run since Musk took over does not give me confidence to trust them with custody of my funds or with my financial information. Even if they add crypto they will also add shitcoins like Doge. According to Cointelegraph, Twitter also intends to create their own cryptocurrency. Facebook already failed with this experiment, I don't see Twitter doing any better. Something that is custodial and promotes shitcoins doesn't interest me at all. The only benefit I can see to this would be that perhaps people who have been deplatformed from PayPal might find a payment app willing to provide them their service.
