481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: November 30, 2023, 04:07:14 AM
Duarte is far from being elite, this is just a test for him. GBP pick a good fighter for Ryan. Sort of more to build his confidence back. We can only see improvements on Ryan if let's say a Teo Lopez fight or any of the top 5 boxers in this division.

Teofimo revealed that he turned down a $1.5 million offer to fight Ryan Garcia. Perhaps it was a bit of a lowball offer from Golden Boy, but I also don't think Teo is worth nearly as much as he thinks he is. The long layoff due to Covid and personal issues followed by a loss to Kambosos and a lackluster split decision win against Sandor Martin really hurt his value.

Ryan still has several options but at 140 the only champion he is capable of beating, in my opinion, is Rolly Romero. That should be his next target if he beats Duarte.
482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Monero - Privacy as the world becomes more dystopian on: November 29, 2023, 05:07:36 AM
I don't even use CEX's so I didn't consider even them lol. I meant on swap sites, P2P platforms (Bisq), DEX's, atomic swaps etc

Indeed Bitcoin is more like gold SoV and Monero is more cash. Lightning adoption isn't going anywhere by the looks of it. Coinjoin is expensive in high fee environment as and not really that private. In the mean time Monero is cheap & easy & does give you ample privacy. government don't like it, so there's your proof it works.

Daily transaction count for Monero hasn't changed much in the last 3 years. I'm not sure its adoption is going anywhere either.
https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/monero-transactions.html

For every new merchant that accepts Monero I see two or three that accept Lightning. This is purely anecdotal so I'm not sure which one has the advantage.

Monero is quietly gaining lots of adoption on websites, services, exchanges, dark net markets etc.

Node count has passed BTC and mining hash rate is growing rapidly as you don't need an Asics, just your PC.

Node count isn't a very reliable measure because you can cherry pick whichever source is more favorable to your argument. MoneroHash says Monero has 3k nodes while Monero.Fail says it's 22k. For Bitcoin it's 16k nodes according to Bitnodes and 63k according to Luke Dashjr's website.
483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not this guy on: November 29, 2023, 04:11:13 AM
I've never know anybody personally who was this addicted to gambling. I've had relatives who went into debt because they were betting with money they borrowed and ended up losing. Most people are sane enough to quit after they have lost a substantial amount. If you are unaffected by losing hundreds of thousands of dollars then that is a sign of severe addiction. Maybe there are underlying issues that are causing this addiction and they should consider getting treatment.
484  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why Binance exchange delisting the crytop currencies and the sport trade pairs on: November 29, 2023, 03:48:54 AM
Can someone who is more technical tell about what is going on with Binance the cryptocurrencies exchange?
Just as they were faced with some criminal issues, they have been taking whole lot of elimination actions of delisting over ten sport trades in their marketplaces as at last week with undefined relatable reasons.
Now they are set to delisot BTS/USDT, WTC/BTC, PERL/USDT, WTC/USDT and others out of their marketplaces by the Dec-7th-2023 with the reasons that it is a caused of the digital currencies being unable to meet up with its tasks and poor level of operations.

I honestly thought BitShares was a dead coin. I haven't heard news about it in several years. Waltonchain is also an old coin that had become irrelevantafter some scammy behavior. I don't know if the Tornado Cash token is associated with the mixer but Binance probably doesn't want to be associated with something that has been sanctioned by the US government. The other tokens I haven't heard of but I assume they are dying projects with very little volume.
485  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IDF are terrorists who bomb children in schools. on: November 28, 2023, 06:09:15 AM
IDF purposely targets UN safezones. There are no Hamas agents within these safezones.

Their objective is to cause fear and terror in civilians. They're actual terrorists under international law.

And who told your this? Hamas?

The IDF objective is to eradicate Hamas.

The IDF objective is committing genocide and ethnically cleansing Palestine of it's native population. That's not according to Hamas, that's according to the Zionists themselves.

Here is convicted terrorist and Israel's current Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir celebrating along with Zionist settlers the burning of a Palestinian infant.
https://x.com/muhammadshehad2/status/1723739613125116299

Further down that thread there are many more examples of genocidal incitement and celebrations of the killing of children.

Here's a compilation video documenting Israel's racist abuse towards Palestinians.
https://x.com/BTnewsroom/status/1712606372813066586

Currently, in the West Bank, religious fanatics are terrorizing and displacing entire communities with encouragement from Israeli government officials and with the military as their accomplice.
https://www.vox.com/world-politics/2023/11/9/23945651/west-bank-israeli-settler-palestine-gaza-war-violence

It isn't very hard to find statements from Israeli politicians openly calling for genocide. It's completely demented to witness the dehumanization of a population and conclude that this Zionist savagery is done with the intent of making Israel safer.
486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney (9th of December) on: November 28, 2023, 04:37:56 AM
Haney, for me, is never really an exciting fighter compared to Davis who can deliver KOs all the time but he is a technical yet also boring fighter but definitely great with his footwork. He the kind of boxer who punches his opponent for the reason of just stopping their aggression in the ring and he is happy to see his points go up.

Since Regis is also a great boxer, the result will probably be the same as how Haney ended half of his fights which is by Decision.

After watching Shakur Stevenson's performance earlier this month I am glad those two are not facing each other. We were spared from what surely would have been a boring chess match. Both, Shakur and Haney, act like tough guys on social media but they turn into pussy cats when they are inside the ring. Over the weekend we saw that technical fighters like Demetrius Andrade can be beaten with aggression. It can be frustrating for an opponent when they are missing punches but it is necessary to remain calm and continue applying pressure.
487  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bounty Manager isn't accountable. on: November 28, 2023, 03:39:43 AM
Unfortunately these newbie bounty managers are not very reliable and often end up scamming or disappearing without explanation. I made the same mistake when I was lower rank of joining a bounty managed by a newbie without an established reputation. I wasted a month of my time only to end up not receiving payment. Forum users should beware of newbie managers and only join bounties managed by people with a high level of trust.
488  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IDF are terrorists who bomb children in schools. on: November 27, 2023, 05:51:50 AM
Israel didn't even bother painting Gaza's Indonesian Hospital as a covert Hamas base, it just bombed it to oblivion, tortured its staff and left it strewn with rotting corpses

This report is one of the most gut-wrenching documents I've seen of Israel's state terror

This is some nazi level depravity. Palestinians who survived a massacre can't even bury the piles of corpses around them because Israel isn't satisfied with the many hospital refugees they already murdered and these maniacal, sociopathic criminals want to finish them off.

Over 92% of those killed by IDF terrorists have been civilians.  Over 80% of the population in Gaza has been displaced. Clearly this isn't about preventing terrorism, that is just the excuse Israel uses to carry out an ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: November 27, 2023, 04:50:00 AM
I have observed that the rich, I mean those who are financially comfortable, win more in gambling than the poor. By poor, I mean those who do not have enough to meet all their needs. I don't know the reason for this. Could it be that the rich understand financial management more? Or could it be that the rich are less desperate to win which make them make better gambling decision? I really want to know the reason for this pattern I have observed.

Because of the difference on bankroll. Rich people have a huge bankroll that gives them freedom to increase bet or play more until they win huge amount while poor has only limited bankroll which they will stop immediately once they lose enough.

Bankroll is part of the reason but also the media makes a big deal when a celebrity influencer wins a lot of money. We don't hear much about a whale going bust and losing millions in one night. This causes us to perceive that rich people are just winning all the time when in reality they are also the biggest losers. Having greater wealth can have certain benefits when gambling but you can also incur higher risk so it ends up balancing out where statistically the average rich person will have a similar losing percentage as someone who is poor.
490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 27, 2023, 04:10:05 AM
I am presently watching Benavidez vs. Andrade. I reckon if this Andrade has good stamina and he can maintain this performance, he might have a chance. However, it appears that he became careless on the last seconds of the 4th round. This might be caused by low stamina and being tired.

I am quite certain that this will end before round 7. I will be very shocked if Andrade will go to a decision heheheh.

Andrade's awkwardness kept him in the fight for a while but Benavidez is too strong and every body shot was zapping the energy out of Demetrius.
Benavidez was never hurt by Andrade so he just pushed his way forward and broke him down.

On the undercard I was impressed with Subriel Matias who maintains his perfect KO win ratio and also improved his streak of wins by retirement. I don't know if it's a record but 5 straight opponents quitting is even better than Lomachenko's streak when he earned the nickname "Nomaschenko".  A unification against Teofimo Lopez could probably sell out Madison Square Garden.

Jermall Charlo looked a bit rusty but still got the win against a naturally smaller Jose Benavidez Jr., who also only has one good leg. Charlo's best days may be in the past and I can't see him being competitive against Canelo or Jose's brother David. It seems like his best option might be Caleb Plant.
491  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: November SINBAD.IO Mixer Bitcoin Price Prediction Challenge on: November 27, 2023, 03:39:40 AM
The prediction table is updated there.

Each participant can check your own row and can comment if I make mistakes. I appreciate it and will correct any mistake I made in the table.

My predictions should be on a single row instead of being listed separately.
492  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: November 26, 2023, 06:03:47 AM
My Golden Tickets, got/bought until the end of latest 3-4-5 Bonanza, are no more visible in my account - just use the backup like you did in 10jul22 with FUN Tokens.

I have also sent messages to Support through the TheQuin, snail mail and email.

No panic.

Adenda 1:
wetsuit has just alerted me by PM that I have indicated with error the date of latest 3-4-5 Bonanza. Public thanks.

Adenda 2: My account is already OK and it is no surprise that Freebitco has been quick to solve the situation.

Note:
Anyone can quote this message. No problem.

wetsuit hasn't been active in the forum in several years so I'm surprised to see he logged in today. There were a few issues earlier in the day but they were resolved quickly.

And speaking of fun token, what it takes for fun token to improve in price overnight is strictly in the hands of the FreeBitco team, and I personally want trust and believe that they themselves know this already.

The price has been stable in USD, hovering around $0.005 for many months. The price in BTC is less volatile than months prior. They are making steady progress by announcing several partnerships recently. Maybe not the most high profile partners but it shows they're still committed to the project. I'm not expecting it to outperform Bitcoin, so I wouldn't invest too heavily, but perhaps 2024 will be when we start to see a positive price trend.
493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: David Benavidez Vs Demetrius Andrade Interim WBC Super Middleweight title fight on: November 26, 2023, 05:38:10 AM
The latest update was the corner of Andrade stopped the fight, Andrade took a lot of beating and there was a warning coming from the referee that he would stop the fight if Andrade couldn't defend himself, now we are finally going to see a Benavidez - Canelo fight for an all Mexican great fight

An absolutely dominating performance by Benavidez. He might not be the most skillful fighter but the relentless pressure always breaks down his opponents. We are all expecting the Canelo fight to be next. Benavidez is still the mandatory and the next best fighter in the weight class. It is only logical that they would face each other. The fight has marinated for long enough. Even though Canelo is considered better I wonder how he is going to deal with the size and power of Benavidez. Canelo isn't a slick, defensive boxer so he is likely to receive punishment. People will favor him because of his résumé and talent but it is not a foregone conclusion that Canelo will prevail against this difficult challenge presented by Benavidez.

495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacks in November on: November 25, 2023, 06:05:15 AM
The majority of these funds were stolen from Justin Sun owned platforms. That's far too suspicious to be a coincidence. After seeing what's happened to Sam Bankman Fried and CZ, it could be that he is executing a grand exit scam. This theory seems entirely plausible taking into account that Tron and Bittorrent were recently charged by the SEC with committing securities fraud.
496  Economy / Economics / Re: Usdt tether buying btc the USDT might decouple of real USD on: November 25, 2023, 05:20:46 AM
Being overcollateralized because the value of BTC goes up doesn't mean that Tether will decouple from the dollar. It will just make their peg stronger. If the opposite situation happened and the BTC price fell so much that the issued amount was a lot higher than what was in their reserves then that definitely would have a negative impact on their peg. It happens often with algorithmic stablecoins when the collateralization ratio starts to get really low.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether publishes transaparency report daily, why is it suspicious stablecoin? on: November 25, 2023, 12:25:38 AM
Tether is only releases transparency reports once per quarter. They've only been doing these for the past 3 years after there were accusations of not being fully backed and they were investigated by New York's Attorney General. Prior to that there were promises of audits which they never really did and instead released incomplete information. If you check the reports & reserves section on their transparency page you can see that they've switched auditor multiple times which raises some questions about whether they're just shopping around for auditors which will let them get away with providing bare minimum and incomplete evidence.
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: David Benavidez Vs Demetrius Andrade Interim WBC Super Middleweight title fight on: November 24, 2023, 11:01:53 PM
However, Charlo came in overweight, 3.4 pounds against Benavidez Jr. This fight is at a catchweight of 163 pounds, and yet Charlo came in still close to the super middleweight at 166.4 pounds.

Not sure if this fight is going to continue, but there are talks that Charlo will have to pay Benavidez as penalty for going over the catchweight so that they can just proceed with the fight.

It is also reported that the weigh in was done behind close doors with no media around.

This is unprofessional behavior from a fighter who's been coddled by his promoter and the WBC who allowed him to keep his title despite not defending it in over two years. This was supposed to be a showcase that would lead to bigger fights. This will tarnish his image and makes it seem like he isn't serious about his career anymore.

Quote
It is also reported that the weigh in was done behind close doors with no media around.
The official weight-in is always behind closed doors and the ceremonial weigh-in is the one that is open to the public. It should be happening right now so we will see if there is any update on this situation.
499  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex shutting down: What can exchange do differently to avert this trend. on: November 24, 2023, 12:57:17 AM
It is becoming harder for exchanges to operate within the United States. Many of the top exchanges have had problems with US regulators so it is best to avoid that region until more crypto friendly politicians come into power. Playing by their vague rules and obeying their guidelines doesn't seem to be enough. They will continue to arbitrarily target businesses in order to have tighter control over citizens' financial activity. We will continue to hear that Hamas and Iran are using these exchanges but these are only scare tactics, none of these actions affect terrorism financing or money laundering. The land of the free will oppress freedoms if it means maintaining economic hegemony.
500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Something you don't have to forget on: November 23, 2023, 10:32:54 PM
There are many old wallets where I have lost the recovery phrase or private keys. Some of these wallets were used for claiming airdrops or bounties and I quickly forgot about them because the coins weren't worth much or I dumped my holdings. There was probably not much value in those wallets except for perhaps my Shapeshift wallet. I remember claiming an airdrop from it but then I deleted the wallet, a few years later they did a bigger airdrop where people were claiming thousands of dollars and when I tried to re-install it to see if I was eligible I could not recover it. Fortunately, I still had access to my Metamask wallet which was eligible and I made a nice profit from airdropped FOX tokens.
