1361  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer s7 wont hash on: January 05, 2017, 08:23:35 PM

1362  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer S7 4.73 TH/s EU only on: January 05, 2017, 07:25:49 PM
At hashnest... Price was 0.31 last night, mostly due to btc price swings in recent says... Anyway, 0.25-0.3BTC and I'll take it x)

problem with hashnest is that they charge you 80% of your hashrate and wont send it to you until they are done charging you

So for anyone that pays less that what...15 cents a kwh? is getting boned at that rate. Also you can just buy 4860 gh from them for much less.

Plus if you lose your 2fa access they require you to prove your identity in a way that allows them to compromise your identity.
1363  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S9 11.85ths and 13ths lifetime? on: January 05, 2017, 03:39:32 PM
there are s1's that are still running.

The lifetime if you take care of it should be YEARS.

Obviously there are a few things you have to do to keep em running.

1. clean em
2. don't fuck em up
1364  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just dropped to under 900$ and it keeps going down on: January 05, 2017, 01:53:49 PM
This is something that's expected with the bitcoin price. During the past too the same happened, but didn't rise to such big number. Now the same has taken place. The increase and decrease in price is upon its nature, steep fluctuation happens during year end or by start. The next pumping can be expected by mid 2017, till that can expect gradual increase.

Yeah, I don't count the peak and drop prices as the value of my coins...I count the stable price.

But I'm mining and spending and setting a little aside as I go.
1365  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just dropped to under 900$ and it keeps going down on: January 05, 2017, 01:39:40 PM
sell high buy low...

Is it high or low right now? You tell me...

yes of course, but a loss of 20% of the value in less one hour sounds creepy Cheesy
Maybe some one undermine the protocol itself trying to violate something? Like a 51% attack ?

...probably someone just cashed out and a few people panicked.

When everyone else is panicking...f'ing go to sleep.

Normally when someone asks $2000 for one and you guys are offering him $2500 for two, its pretty much considered an insult.

We are welcome to ask what we think it's worth and vice versa?

I'm sure there's no insult intended.
1368  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: Datacenter in Central WA on: January 05, 2017, 01:03:34 PM
where in central washington?

I'm in chelan county if anyone needs someone on the ground here.

To re-iterate on the power costs here, they just bump your delivery fee up a little if you pass the 250w/sq foot limit. It's still cheaper than anywhere else.

Ideally you obtain a very large building for cheap which allows for large power usage.

This is the PUD website here: https://www.chelanpud.org/

It's currently 5am, give them a call in a couple hours if you have specific questions regarding their power costs.

what do you consider a reasonable price?
1370  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] KNC Titan Miner on: January 05, 2017, 02:51:02 AM
Hi, can you provide pictures that include the piece of paper with your forum name on it?

Where are you shipping from, how much do you want for it?
1371  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS 4-pack Chocolate bars (US only) on: January 04, 2017, 06:37:30 PM
Are you able to do a $20 "shipped" milk chocolate only pack?

We all know that's the best for breakfast.

Thanks!
1372  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Making server PSUs quieter on: January 04, 2017, 06:27:40 PM
Haha, just use 4 paperclips!

Alternatively you could rewire it or solder something.

Picture of the 4 pin plug?
1373  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer S7 parts for sale. on: January 03, 2017, 01:42:23 PM
Do these miners commonly catch on fire?
I'm worried now as my miners aren't always monitored.
Don't wanna burn my building down!

In anycase, I need a fan, the fan that sucks air in.... One of my fans seems a bit wobbly as if the bearing in gone.

This is the first time I've seen one...I'm sure it's happened before, looks like a heatsink failed to do it's job and the chip caught.

Just don't hang anything flammable over the miners and you should be fine

Usually electrical fires are caused by improper electrical flow, you might even notice your miner running really hot ahead of time or smell a little magic smoke.

@OP, did you notice anything odd about the miner before it caught?

Could I buy a Cocaine or only Cannabis?

Lol...You need the dark web for the nose candy.
1375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "We got hacked" coming ! on: January 02, 2017, 03:42:50 PM
That is actually a pretty stupid move. Claiming a hack like they did gets the price lower in a few hours only. That's what they want? I know there were websites coming with this excuse when they did not even have a hacker coming after them. Everyone wants money and I also know that me writing this message won't stop them, but it's a bad move. Thousands are going to leave Bitcoin because of a website getting hacked. Less people means a smaller Bitcoin price. Look at the charts and you'll see that Bitcoin went up VERY fast in the weeks before Bitfinex's hack, and then it went down and needed months to recover. We would have had over $1.500 already if that didn't happen, probably.

I'm not so sure, we're decentralized enough that 1 exchange will be maybe $100-200 of the price? It might even be futile...
1376  Economy / Goods / Re: ★★ SWIM's Cannabis Seed Service ★★ Worldwide Delivery ★★ Accepts BTC & ŁTC ★★ on: January 02, 2017, 02:45:36 PM
it is legal to send cannabis in a country where it is illegal ? what is the police will open the pack and see what is inside?

Laws are different everywhere many locations consider the seeds to be nothing, it's usually the growing and possession of the fruit that is the illegal bit.

Ideally nobody breaks any laws and we all live peacefully and what not...
1377  Economy / Goods / Re: ★★ SWIM's Cannabis Seed Service ★★ Worldwide Delivery ★★ Accepts BTC & ŁTC ★★ on: January 02, 2017, 02:24:51 PM
This combo might actually be a really strong producer for first time growers using dirt setups(dirt is more forgiving than hydro)...the resistance to infection is good(because everyone makes at least 1 mistake) and a sativa strong hybrid makes for a clean light leafed plant.

Medium to High size allows for a fairly versatile grow area...I wonder how this would handle the 300 gallon pot test.

So it would be really easy to trim unlike the indica dominant hybrids which have leaf growth like a grizzly bear's bush.

18% THC can be boosted with a variety of techniques and the pain/nausea reducing effects make it great for medical use without losing the head functionality of sativa's.

Combine this plant with LED growing technology and you could create monstrous plants I think...wonder how it would compare to Blue Dream.

Anything with a fruit based flavor is outstanding if you make sure to properly trim off all vegetative leaf.

@SWIY have you tried using extended veg cycles or reveg with this strain?
1378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Switch to offline wallet on: January 02, 2017, 01:34:49 PM
Who said about holding much? Besides nothing is 100% secure.

PS. I spend coins from Trezor using the phone so that does make it quite safe.

 Grin

Whatever you use, I highly suggest a minimum of 3 points of protection.

Ideally 5 or more.
1379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Switch to offline wallet on: January 02, 2017, 12:58:56 PM
Thanks very much guys for helping me and all these answers!

Just one last question, but I don't know if it's the good place to ask that, I gave a look to the Chuwi HI12, is that a reliable 2 in 1 or it's low quality and I risk it will break or something, I'm willing to use it as offline wallet and offline media player

Have you thought about getting a Trezor (or some other hardware wallet)? Saves a lot of hassle and it's a very secure way to hold and spend bitcoins. Either way, I'd probably recommend Electrum or as a mobile option Mycelium. Those are pretty much the one's that I use and none has failed me yet (except perhaps Electrum with constant syncing problems but I was too lazy to look into it).

I wouldn't hold much on a mobile device...phones are not 100% secure.
1380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "We got hacked" coming ! on: January 02, 2017, 11:36:24 AM
Hah,

A hacking might be the only way to drive the price back down to "buy back in" status  Roll Eyes

*whistles*

I wouldn't wish it on anybody though...
