1661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sources of gambling news on: August 11, 2022, 09:49:32 AM
I think google is the best source for that even just by typing "gambling" then go to News tab you'll probably get gambling news in it. You can also filter it out on when was the news has been shared or posted. I'm not having some kind of specific news site so google can help me when I needed it. Afaik, some known media outlets like Bloomberg, LAT, etc. sometimes feature in related to gambling but if you asked if it's daily, I doubt it.

@rhomelmabini, what does such a coin cost and would you still have some?
As far as I know it varies and it has different denominations, for more information about that, you need to check the threads of @MrCryptHodl, from checking it you can see he has coins for sale. That's why I'm on the free raffle, trying my luck if I can own one but luck is always shy on me.

1664  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: August 11, 2022, 06:37:32 AM
Tide goes different kinds of history and from here these two things are left if they are such games and how to play if we don't but history fills us with a lot of seriousness but I think it's very good.
There is reference of gambling in every religious book, be it Hinduism, Muslim, Jews or Christian.
In every religion people are forbidden to gamble- I dont find any reference in any religion where people are invited to gamble and consume alcohol or do adultery. But then we all do it.
And this should show us why it is almost impossible to ban gambling completely, religions all over the world tried to do  itand failed, now many governments try to do the same or to at least put some restrictions to it and they have failed as well.

Which is why society these days seems to be more tolerant to gambling as a hobby as the people at the top are finally understanding that regardless of their own beliefs they cannot stop people and they may as well enjoy part of the benefits brought by such a huge demand.
All right!  It is impossible to ban gambling for two reasons.  Firstly, the very nature of people inclines them to the curiosity and excitement of the pioneers and, of course, the desire of everyone to win.  Secondly, those people or organizations that arrange gambling, of course, make money on it.
The result is the interaction of these parties, which is not able to overcome the prohibitions of different religions, much less the prohibitions of legislators and governments.
Therefore, the history of gambling is inextricably linked with the history of the development of the entire civilization.
Nowadays, government even the one that urges it considering the return of revenue they get from it. There are two types of people in gambling, those who want to win and fill that ego within and those who want to profit because of the latter type of people (these are the casinos or similar entities).
1665  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Nag-aacumulate ka ba ng crypto ngayong bear season? on: August 11, 2022, 02:26:07 AM
Currently is nag iimbak nako ng mga ibat ibang coin I know this is not a dip pero it depends naman how you will look with the coin you are holding eh, ako mostly lahat ng sweldo ko sa signature na naka bitcoin is naka hold lang sa wallet tsaka at the same time is wala naman ako pag gagamitan kaya okay lang. Currently hold ko now is bitcoin, eth, ada at yung solana.
For me, nasa Ethereum and bullishness ngayon considering sa nalalapit na Merge, though merong nga issue na naibabalita regarding sa mga miners pero sa tingin ko PoS parin ang mananaig considering this is the future. For now, I think magkakaroon pa ng isang pullback at possible na bumulusok din bigla, I'm trying to meet expectations pero mas mabuti na ang safe, I think I'm close sa 50% stablecoin in my portfolio sa ngayon.
1666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you stop gamble if your girl friend insists ? on: August 11, 2022, 01:17:49 AM
The question is very diplomatic, it is difficult to change someone's habits. But it can stop temporarily but not for long.Stopping gambling is a very difficult task. Many girlfriends don't like gambling because they always want to keep their boyfriends different. But it depends on the situation.  But if there is pure relation then it will be possible. There are many people who value their life partner more than money. If someone becomes too addicted to gambling then it will not be possible for his.
They wanted to make them different but whenever their demands are meet, they don't complain on it at all. Seems out balance kind of stuff. Good thing if all girlfriend do value their life partner that way but on the other hand some boyfriend/husband just doing it somehow for them too.
1667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Bull Run Upcoming? Inflation Data Rejuvenates Hope In Crypto Community! on: August 10, 2022, 09:55:59 PM
The thing is what about next month if the figures in the CPI will change? I think that will shift the momentum too if somehow it changes if inflation goes high again. Can't say this singularly about the CPI stuff but I think it shouldn't be based their alone for crypto sentiment.
1668  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: August 10, 2022, 03:16:09 PM
It's just funny to see many people are very skeptical about the level 1 KYC while they're already give that information since Binance forcing all their customers to submit the basic KYC lol. I don't think users in this forum didn't using Binance as their centralized exchanges since Binance is very popular and very known. After all you're trusting your KYC with Binance, how it's different if you submit your KYC to trustworthy casino?
That varies from individuals to the others and their preferences will just make us wonder, "how come that one is fine but this one is not?". I think there's difference in it, Binance are probably known who runs it but for a casino that is quiet unknown who the owner is, that keeps other skeptical if they'll proceed.
1669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 10, 2022, 12:59:58 PM
It seems to me it would be extremely wrong if the Lakers or any team decided to sign LeBron's son just to get LeBron himself on their roster. I mean, LeBron's son shouldn't have any advantages or prerogatives because of his father. If he's really talented enough, he should prove it and fight for the high pick in the NBA draft on the same terms as the other rookies.
This is not a matter of talent or anything, I think this is a once-in-a-lifetime event where we will finally have a son and father in a team together playing in the NBA. As LBJ said, where will his son will be, he will gonna be there and it is his dream to play with Brony together. They may not get any championship because LBJ is already old but the memories they will create together are priceless and I personally support that, after all, they're doing this thing to have fun together.
Well, if he goes through the same process to be traded in the NBA as other players have gone through then I'd say, what's wrong with it? There are players out there that decides on which team they'll go to these days and if Lebron decides where he wants then that's it. If it's just for history  they're making, what's the difference they make just like the movies we see today? It's scripted though.
1670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: August 10, 2022, 11:55:50 AM
Gamblers around the world use crypto and bitcoin to play the bets. Do they really care if the bitcoin prices dump hard? I know traders are directly impacted by this dump, and investors are also in panic but what about gamblers. Their motive is to play gamble and they may not be a concerned if the price of bitcoin is declining sharply?
It seems to me that a gambler has nothing to do with his bitcoin market rise. If he is betting by converting to dollars then I think his assets are sometimes dumping the market There will be no effect. But this is completely opposite when you consider the case of an investor and trader. Their investment depends entirely on market conditions.
Gamblers tend to be traders and investors too and with the dump they must surely has affected on it if we say about the USD balance is concerns in conversion. Correct me if I'm wrong but most gamblers who really knows cryptocurrency aren't only for gambling but I'm pretty sure they are investors too.
1671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Myths that we often hear on: August 09, 2022, 04:24:34 PM
Myth 1 isn't that broad if we take a look on it, that's more like all combined myths in there. If you get addicted, whatever it is on the mythical 12 of gambling will connect in this and will either likely make you bad and good if you hit that jackpot but the weighing scale always points on the bad side.
1672  Economy / Reputation / Re: If You're active in the gambling discussion you have to read this on: August 09, 2022, 02:34:33 PM
Just because these posts are getting deleted in gambling discussion does that mean this thread will remain here, you need to move this to the Reputation board or anywhere it is deemed appropriate for discussion and not here. Just my two cents. I doubt if the user will ever respond here at all, well, we can at least wait for his side.
1673  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake and odd provider's limits !!!!!! on: August 09, 2022, 09:45:47 AM
I haven`t such situation but possible it depends on time that you use this casino and your bets. Possible that your limits will grow some time later, when you`ll reach some limit of bets or time you are gambling.
I think that you ought to ask support about such situation and if it is possible to increase limits manually.

During last months I may have bet 80 mBtc, and it was a good month in terms of gains I would say. But everyone knows that in gambling you have good and bad times.

The support told me:
'''
There are two types of limits. Global and account limits. Global depends on the competition integrity and coverage and personal depends on the account activity.

They will keep checking acounts and improve limits if that would be possible in the future.
'''
Feels like that's it for your account then and even them can't change it. Is this even possible on KYC'ed accounts or will likely be different? I haven't have the same issue since I'm not that of a regular gambler but it should have difference right to non-KYC and KYC accounts.
1674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bounty on: August 08, 2022, 04:35:20 PM
The truth is you can never know weather a project is good or not but it just depends on the manager bringing the work and if it escrowed or not.
when the project was published by the campaign manager, I think it was through the review that the team manager did. but we must understand that the power of the bounty manager will not change the project that ends up being a scam.
most of the campaign managers have also informed in the thread that they are not part of the project developer. Whether it ends up being a scam or not, of course, is not the responsibility of the bounty manager.
looking for projects that have been escrowed with campaign funds may be the most sensible way to avoid scams. although that still does not eliminate the risk.
That depends since there are bounty managers that will surely put there reputation on a project, he/she might have deeply research on it before hopping in. Yes, that's true. Bounty managers aren't financial advisor not someone from legal authorities that already prove the legitimacy of a certain project, they can still be wrong on their judgment.

I don't think we can press managers to be responsible at all if it ends scam, he/she was more like of a financial advisor that you as a bounty hunter must consider the risk that it may end up badly in a certain point.
1675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese Animation Slot Machines on: August 08, 2022, 02:45:59 PM
What do you think about these japanese slot machines?
Do you like them?
Would you gamble on them?
Definitely a rated PG kind of slot machine I am going to be asked since the language used kinda teasing as well as the expression of the characters. Moreover, that was really a brilliant idea and kinda more interactive and fun to play with, kudos to who have made it. If it's near at my place, then why not? They're literally fun.
1676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 08, 2022, 01:36:55 PM
Free agent forward Kent Bazemore has agreed to a one-year deal with the Sacramento Kings. Seems like the Pacific division runs through Kent Bazemore haha. The Kings run deep enough that Bazemore probably only gets garbage time in inconsequential games. Could be a helpful guy to have on the bench though.
He already passed his prime, his last season with the Lakers is not good, he only averages 3.4 pts with only 14 minutes per game. He is good defensively though, but since he passed his prime, we cannot expect a big contribution anymore.
He could have much better if he haven't turned down that offer from GSW, he got thinking that Lakers will win the title considering superstars keep coming, the unexpected comes. Well, he decided for that and now he's on the team which just next in line in the standings in the West last season.

His coming and go with the Lakers and GSW but all timing was wrong and now he's back with his former team, maybe he'll stay for good this time, I mean, the roster wasn't that bad for Kings this time but I doubt the odds of getting a ring.
1677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man Collapses after Allegedly Losing a $400 Loan at a Betting Shop on: August 06, 2022, 05:09:19 PM
This money was borrowed from loan shark operators for pay for his house rent however. The man thought that he may be able to double it he took it to a betting shop. Sadly, he lost all the money to a virtual game.
He knows the risk and I think what he is right now is really what he earned, he shouldn't have taken that road if he can't be responsible for it. This isn't new and we just keep hearing similar issues even before, it's more like a disease we can't even afford to cure.
1678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will we see ethereum PoW forks? on: August 06, 2022, 02:48:44 PM
What if there's no fork gonna happen? I'd rather sit my ETH on my wallet rather than risking it on some exchanges. The real winner right here will be Ethereum Classic considering the hash power from the current PoW of Ethereum will likely be put transferred on them.

Pity to those who has mining rigs that mine ETH but I think a solution will surely come out but if I were to decide, change is really inevitable and likely moving on to a new mechanism should be adopted. PoW is the future and more green.

Dahil masyadong uncertain ang merkado ngayon at possible pa nga na bumaba ito in the next months, just saying.
