961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: According To me Ethereum Looks Weak on: April 05, 2023, 04:33:30 PM
I don't think, Bitcoin is getting weak in this year 2023 compared last year that made the price to decreased to $17,324 to help both long term investors and short term investors to invested their money on Bitcoin. If you have the money to invest, I will advise you to invest in Ethereum because the price is still low where you can use money to purchase a huge amount of Ethereum and hold till next year before you can sell, because the price of Ethereum will definitely hit $2000 next year. Since the price of Bitcoin has hit $28,000 this year, I believe the price of Ethereum will hit higher too to allow those that purchased Ethereum last two years when the price was $450 or $500 to achieve something good soon.
I think that is basically the connection between the two as well. It's obvious that some people are not entirely sure about the connection, and yes there are some weak coins that may drop during even the bull run, or we do not know which one goes up how much, some goes up 10% while others 50%, those are all surprising, and rankings change and all that.

But when it comes to bitcoin and ethereum, it's obvious that they are looking quite strong together and those two top spots and will continue to do so. I would say they would have a similar increases and decreases, maybe just a bit different but not that much and they will continue to be great together in the coming year or so as well.
962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 05, 2023, 02:39:54 PM
The Ligue is less interesting than La Liga, the English Premier League, and the Serie. However, after the recent setbacks of PSG, the following clubs, Marseille, Lens, and even Monaco are still in the running for the title.

Messi getting a ton of offers from various clubs are undeniably more fascinating in the news. That is harder to predict than PSG to win the Ligue. He thinks about a Barcelona return, but the serious financial situation might prevent him from returning, especially since PSG has made him big offers and Al Hilal, a Saudi Arabian club that pays him 400 euros per year, is too good to pass up.
Even these two lose creating some interest in this league after dominating throughout this season but still situation is under control of PSG because they have enough firepower with we have news around for the Messi's possible transfer which is going to happen for surely because he is already having few good offers like Al Hilal which is not under his radar because he wants to stay into Europe with Barcelona FFP situation is not good so most chances he will be not going back there as well so now how things will be managed by him this is not clear but something big going to happen in near future.

Marseille and Lens are hunting for the title and both have good matches in coming round with Monaco is also trying for the top three but current Lens form is amazing and most chances will not allow them to have this opportunity.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is controlled on: April 04, 2023, 08:05:59 PM
Since most of the major altcoins move up or down at the same time as bitcoin, aren't they all controlled? How does it work?
Bitcoin is controlled yes but not in a way that it was been manipulated by the big whales or institutions because the coin is the most decentralized and fair among all other cryptos. Altcoins move up and down because this is the nature of cryptos. It's called volatility. Bitcoin has this too but the rate of Bitcoins volatility is much higher compared to them. It's also known that Bitcoin can manipulate the altcoins but some small altcoins can be manipulated by someone else. They are often called as pump and dump.

These are the one's that we must avoid because they are not contributing anything in this space. They are only here for business, to make a profit and the only one that can profit the most is their creators, not the investors.
964  Economy / Speculation / Re: 26k mark finally breached on: April 04, 2023, 04:46:18 PM
Today many altcoins are soaring like Doge which is up more than 28%, unfortunately bitcoin has not moved in the last 24 hours of trading, but with the higher daily transaction volume the opportunity to reach $ 30k in the current week will occur and maybe in April the market will rise Again.
For some reason again, Elon changed the tweet to doge and that's why people bought doge. Let me say that again, Elon Musk, changed the icon of twitter, which was a blue bird, into doge, and that's why a lot of people bought doge... There is something fundamentally wrong with people but I am not sure what, and why.

How in the hell did it make sense to buy doge because twitter changed its logo, how did that make sense to any person, and even worse, people actually profited from it as well. That's crazy even beyond my understanding and somehow that happened. Aside from that, no other coin went up like that, sure it was a green day but small changes, nothing major.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking advice needed on: April 04, 2023, 05:16:50 AM
For a long term holder / investor, what are the risks available with staking coins and tokens that you plan to hold for a long period of time? I want to know if its safe to keep your coins in staking instead of just holding them in a wallet when your ultimate plan is to hold for long term.
The main risk associated with staking coins and tokens is inflation risk. Staking rewards can vary over time, and the amount of rewards you receive may not compensate for the inflation of the underlying asset. It is also important to consider the risk of a slashing event, which can occur when a validator is found to have violated the network's rules.
if you plan to hold tokens for the long-term, you should also consider the risk of a decrease in the value of the underlying asset, which could reduce the potential rewards you receive.
I would guess that it is an obvious mistake that many people make when they do not check it. You could make a profit when you do it like that but if the underlying asset is gone, then you are gone as well and all that staking was for nothing.

It is important for people to check all the trouble of the world, and when we are in a situation we are not entirely certain about, it wouldn't be a problem for any of us to just walk away, you may not earn but at least you won't be losing. But if you do not walk away, then you are going to end up with something that will either profit you but if you are wrong also make you lose money as well and that's a risk you shouldn't take if you are uncertain.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: April 03, 2023, 08:41:32 PM
I didn't read this news and it seems like it was just a discussion and suggestion to PSSI and came from uncredible media, but if it's done right and Indonesia wins then what do you expect? expect the U-20 World Cup to still be held in Indonesia while still banning one of the countries that have already qualified? This polemic should no longer need to be debated as it is currently still a hot debate on social media in Indonesia and finally hoax news began to emerge which in the end all discussions were no longer true and pure with reasons of rejection. With only a few months remaining, the appeal will not change FIFA's decision on cancellation, and the debate will not change Indonesian football for the better because football is often used as a political tool to build their popularity, not to build football.
I feel like there is this talks about Russia not be part of some sports organizations, but that feels like a start of one thing and end of another. Just as an example, Olympics had something like that as well. In the end we have to accept the fact that moral superiority can't be in any of these nations at all and qualification games are the only thing that matters.

Thankfully we are going to have more teams and I feel like 64 can be achieved in the future as well, more games means more money and that is what the world cup is all about. It happens every 4 years but it makes so much money and definitely something to consider when dealing with this much money.
967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 03, 2023, 04:16:24 PM
The overall condition of Chelsea's squad is poor. At the same time, their coach could not stabilize the team. I wouldn't say that Chelsea's poor performance is only due to the failure of the coach. Their squad was also not strong enough. If the squad is not strong then it is not possible to rely on the coach alone to perform consistently well. And so the Chelsea management should try to strengthen the team by appointing an experienced coach. Chelsea management definitely needs to add experienced players to the team. Chelsea management should make a big fund to add new players to the squad next season.
Let's see how they are going to be now that Potter is out. I have always said that Potter wasn't the guy that could make this team better. All these managers that try to overreach to their positions will end up being too bad. You know what kind of manager I like when we are talking about big clubs?

Either a manager that has already managed a big club and had some success before, which would be the only acceptable thing for Chelsea right now, or a manager that is new to manager position if you want to take a risk, but been an assistant manager to someone successful for a long time, like Arteta for example. That would be the only thing that could make sense as an alternative. Not a small club manager.
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 03, 2023, 01:16:46 PM
Interesting that PSG lost twice in a row after the UCL exit as well. This doesn't really good at all and I feel like there is this weird situation where rest of the team is just letting Mbappe and Messi to play and they just don't give a damn. I think that's not going to be enough, this team is multiple times bigger than the opponents they are playing and still losing, that doesn't really feel like that should be a thing.

I do not know what they have to do, probably change the manager and buy some midfielders I guess, but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with a solution that is going to be a quick thing anytime soon, it will take a while.
969  Economy / Speculation / Re: The US government sold 9800 bitcoin on March 14 on: April 03, 2023, 05:15:40 AM
Since these aren’t MtGox victims I am not expecting them to dump it all at once. They were smart and basically sold it during a bull run that week.

If this was MtGox users getting their claims I would be more nervous because those would be dumped at once but since this is the USG I don’t think they really care what price they sell it for. Whether they sold at $30K or $20K do you think it matters to them? No.
Even if it's from the Mt.Gox victims I still don't think that all of them will dump their Bitcoins all at once. They already invested before in BTC because they knew its potential but how much more when their instincts are true that BTC do really have a big potential to pump big? They may only need to hold it on their own which I know they will because they already learned their lesson that keeping BTC on a centralized platform is not safe.

USG are not different from us and other institutions who invest. They also invest to earn so they know what time is best to sell their coins but it won't cause a big dump since it's stated that they will do it in 4 batches.
970  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price and my mindset on: April 02, 2023, 04:39:01 PM
The bitcoin price often makes us curious, sometimes the price we think will continue to rise but what happens is the price goes down, or vice versa when we have sold all the bitcoins because the price is hard to go up and keeps going down but the market goes up and makes us regret it, as investors of course we have to have deep experience to be able to profit on bitcoin, and I think the most important thing is to always be patient.
Only newbies will think that the price will continue to rise forever but experienced users already know that Bitcoin is volatile and there are two cycles here namely the bear and bull that needs to be followed. When Bitcoin is already experiencing a bull run, we must sell now if we want to earn a profit, if not we can continue holding. If Bitcoin is in a bear market, we can expect that the price will eventually rise but a bear market isn't also the best time to sell a coin. It's only good for accumulating.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 01, 2023, 06:48:02 PM
obviously,  Victor Osimhen really needs to join a suitable club that will help him maintain and continue being among the top ranking strikers we have in the European football, and basically where he would find such opportunity is definitely finding himself in the English premier league and in a team such as Arsenal or Manchester united team, where he would have more percentage chances of becoming the number one striker in the club.
I think PSG is interested in him a lot more than any other team. They are offering Icardi and Parades and some good amount of money for him. This would allow Napoli to not only have money which they would be happy to have but also they would have good enough players to replace Osimhen a bit as well.

Maybe Icardi is not as good as Osimhen but he is not a bad player neither and definitely deserves a look. If Napoli decides to sell, that is the type of offer they can't pass up. Real can't offer the same thing, if it is about the money, PSG can match whatever Real can afford considering how rich PSG is, and considering how they are also offering Icardi, unless Real offers Benzema, they have no better offer.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arb below 1$ on: April 01, 2023, 05:41:08 AM
Buying $ARB for a price lower than $1 is a good entry, this is not just about having a huge supply but you should consider as well its own technology, its very promising and many investors believe that it can actually hit the price of $5 and beyond. If you don’t want to miss the opportunity again, better to analyze it now and see your price entry.
There's even coins with massive supply but still manage to pump hard. ETH, SHIB, and DOGE are only few of the coins to achieve this status. ETH pump because it has a good technology behind but I don't know about the two coin.

I think they only pump mainly because of the hype. ARB on the other hand can pump for both hype and technology. Even if the hype have died down, there is still a technology that can make this coin alive. The OP didn't miss any opportunity but he was in fact one of the early adopters and getting a good amount of airdrops is a proof to it. He seems professional on this business because he also participated on other solid projects who does the same (airdrop).
973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Evidence that I actually invested for my baby on: March 31, 2023, 01:02:26 PM
Anyone can doubt what you say without proof, but proving that you have an investment is not mandatory. What's the point? I don't know exactly what you expect after proving that investment, is it some sort of acknowledgment or maybe you just want to be justified.

After all, the investment is for yourself, not for anyone else, so what's the point of you proving that you have an investment? Next time try to think wisely, you don't have to prove anything about your wealth for any reason.
I would guess that providing proof part is to make sure that he actually did it and maybe he could hype some other people to do it as well. I think I will do that too when my baby is born, as soon as my wife says she is pregnant, no matter what happens in the world, no matter how poor I will become, no matter how terrible my finance is, I will end up investing about 5% of my salary just for my child, per month, until they are 18.

By logic that should be tens of thousands of dollars at least just if it stays the same, and we all know in about 18 to 20 years, bitcoin will go up, so we are talking about potentially 100k+ here, that's an amount that would get you whatever you want in my nation, some people could even live without working their entire life with it but would be a bit difficult of course. But at least they can grow up to be whatever they want.
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 31, 2023, 08:30:19 AM
I think South Africa need to win both of there matches against Netherlands because a single win will make there points equal to West Indies which is 88. If South Africa win both matches then there points will be 98 and they will be moved to number 8 spot (my understanding is that top 8 teams qualify directly for ODI WC). Netherlands is not a tough team to beat and South Africa just need to be careful in both matches. Sri lanka must have won 2 of there recent matches but they lost both miserably.
Yes, things are interesting just because of this South Africa is already announced their full strength squad for this two matches series because they are not taking any chance specially after having defeat in hands of the Netherlands in T20i World Cup by 13 runs with this defeat they were pulled out of the semifinal race which was the biggest upset in this event so now today we have first ODI which is going to play at Benoni.

Even recent performance of South Africa is amazing, and they have 100% chance for the win in this series and having direct qualification into ODI World Cup which is going to play in India in October, but they are doing their homework properly before this big event and for this important series as well.
975  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Predictions? on: March 30, 2023, 08:56:19 PM
$35k for April? It's possible, I mean at the start of the year, we are very much in the bullish phase.

But it seems that the resistance at $28,500 is really huge at this point, I saw that we have broken it already, but then the price goes to $28,300 very quick. It means that speculators are selling at that price level that's why it's hard for it to reach $29k-$30k.
So let's see how it goes for April, we need to get to $30k first during the first week because we talk about $35k at the end of that month.
And we need to continue with our bullish sentiments and need investors to FOMO as well.
I think it all depends on breaking above the resistance or not. If we do break over this price, then breaking over 35k shouldn't be a problem, if we can't then we will fail and stay here. So we are not entirely sure about what's going to happen, we will try to beat it obviously and that's a good thing but there is no guarantee that we will be able to.

I hope that the best thing that could happen for us right now is seeing 30.001 dollars, because if that happens that means there is both the resistance broken and also a psychological barrier is breached and there would be a lot more people and a ton more money investing into bitcoin all over again.
976  Economy / Speculation / Re: 23 March 2023: SEC issues official warning to crypto investors on: March 30, 2023, 05:59:04 PM
The amount of withdrawn deposits from banks is slightly less than $300 billion in the US, and that's only in this month, and I already wrote in my previous post that money market funds profited the most from this. Probably some of that money went into Bitcoin and some altcoins, possibly into gold and bonds, which people still consider a much safer way of storing value than fiat.
Markets could be crazy like that. You watch 2 banks going bankrupted and swallowed hole, and the entire nation gets together to save the people who deposited, so you think to yourself "hmm the people who deposited their money into a bankrupted bank still got their money back, so there is no danger" and invest even more? That's really it? That's how the market thought?

These people are crazy and I would really wonder how their brain works in other situations. Hmm my friend almost got eaten by a shark here, but didn't, so I could safely go in there myself as well? Because that is exactly what happened and that's exactly how they are responding to this situation.
977  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience on Bitcoin on: March 30, 2023, 04:50:23 PM
Bitcoin has faced significant criticism and skepticism over the years, particularly in its early days when it was relatively unknown and untested. Some people may have been discouraged from investing due to concerns about volatility, regulation, security, or simply a lack of understanding about how cryptocurrencies work.

However, it's important to remember that investing always carries some level of risk and uncertainty, and there's no way to predict the future with complete accuracy. While it's natural to have some regrets about missed opportunities, it's never too late to start investing in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies if you believe they have long-term potential. It's always a good idea to do your research, understand the risks, and invest only what you can afford to lose
Those people who were not sure about bitcoins success (to be fair I was rooting for it but even I didn't see it become this high) ended up regretting their position later on. That is my guiding light for bitcoin, if I doubt bitcoin right now, then in 10 years I could become like those guys.

Obviously I am not expecting it to go up 1000x or something anymore, that was then and it's now over, but I can see it making me more profit than anything else in the world. Which is why investing into bitcoin is a lovely idea and I will keep doing that for as long as I possibly could. I understand some people could still have some reservations about it, but I will never doubt it again.
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH the King of Altcoins ? on: March 29, 2023, 03:34:39 PM
There is no doubt that Bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrencies. If we only focus on altcoins, ETH is the most successful smart contract platform that owns the largest base of fans compared to other altcoins. The current market cap of Ethereum is over $200 Billions and the this will be more likely to increase in the long term. Can ETH be considered as the King of Altcoins ? What do you think ? Please let me know.
If you use just 1.5 dollars to do transactions, then you would be able to do it under 30 seconds without delay, could be quicker I don't know but 30 seconds is as quick as it gets if you ask me, that is something I would be able to wait even when I pay outside for something until it is confirmed, 30 seconds is nothing and it could be even quicker. That is 1.5 dollars, if you pay something like 1 dollars, it will take a while, like a few minutes at least, but it will happen again.

I am not sure why people find that a lot. I get that there are ones that are nearly free, like just a few cents, and some are actually free. But ethereum has ten times and even more transactions than those projects, so it is normal for it to be more expensive.
979  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience of failure and success can help us control the emotions. on: March 29, 2023, 10:25:42 AM
There's no such thing as perfect trading so it is normal to fail in crypto trading especially if we are just at the beginning of our journey. Failing doesn't mean that you won't succeed but rather it can be a big motivation for us to learn and be better. If we have experienced failure, we already know what to expect and through that, we can handle our emotions. Dealing with our emotions is quite hard sometimes because trading could give us a roller coaster ride of emotions so we should be firm in handling what we feel.
Failing is horrible if you do not learn from it. But it is one of the best teachers if you have learned something from it as well. I have failed many times while trading and some of them were out of nowhere and I couldn't understand why I lost, and yet when the time comes I learned from my mistakes and thanks to that I am not making as many mistakes as I used to, which is an amazing thing.

I hope that most people will do something similar when the time comes and we will end up with something much better on the long run. I know that's not going to be easy for the newbies, wasn't easy for me neither, but when they start to learn from their mistakes, they will start to become a great trader.
980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 29, 2023, 08:09:22 AM
Truthfully a really tough match is waiting for Inter on next week of the league. They are going to be hosting Fiorentina in Giuseppe Meazza.

First of all I'm aware of the big point gap between these teams now. However the reason why I pointed it out like that is that Fiorentina are in a much better form than Inter these days. In addition to their unbeaten series in the league they have been maintaining a winning streak of four matches also. This is a point that Inter should really be careful about. They won't find a weak team against themselves most probably. Besides there has been a serious level of drop in Inter's performance and results lately. I'm still favouring Inter for the win but it would be by a small gap.
At the current performance level Fiorentina is having the best form which is clearly late but still a good opportunity for them to have better end of this season while they are going to visit Inter which is badly struggling and have just one win from their last four games which is clearly giving review how things are going here in this team for having better spot until end of this season recent defeat against Juventus is big dent for them while now they are going to host Fiorentina which is also at same level of performance and any poor result can create big difference of points for the second spot and others like Roma and Atlanta can also be feeling good for narrowing gape of points as their performance is also not good, but they have matches against weaker sides which are going to give better results to them in their next round matches.
