So, basically your stance is that who is not sheep, is a loner and a loser.

1802  Other / Off-topic / Re: Help us take down the Jimmy Kimmel show! Corrupt US citizens. on: October 28, 2013, 06:34:48 PM
You finally get it, you have the right to criticise and mock, you don't have the right to force people not to do it which is what you're advocating by going "This is outrageous blahblahblah, ban it!, blah blah blah!", if you want to set up a site bashing comedians like this constantly feel free but if anyone goes around saying it should be taken down they just look pathetic and petty.
Where did I say "ban it"?
1803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: October 28, 2013, 06:28:18 PM
People like you are just whining and moaning because your favorite shitcoin is dying, but it's because it's a shitcoin, not because of multipools.
Being able or not to withstand spikes of Gh/s from profit pools is not what makes it a good or bad coin.

No, but he really was a nice dude.

They've handled the backlash for years from people like you and if you think that only certain things are okay to make fun of and not others then you're just a hypocrite when it comes to free speech I also find it interesting that these kind of people who attack comedians often are going after them only for attacking certain groups that benefit them in some way politically rather than everybody because it's okay to constantly bash religious people etc. but don't go after the Chinese because America owes them money!

Oh and this isn't anything new in media either, you constantly have in War Games Americans being represented as heroes and the 'good' guys while Russians and Germans etc. are all evil and you're supposed to kill them, I think the only time I ever recently saw American soldiers being the bad guys properly was in spec ops: the line which did a brilliant job with the story as well without using generic ethnic groups as gun fodder.
People like me? From where do you know me??

Furthermore, I'm not sure how to comment your anti-American rant, considering that I'm not from the United States. Perhaps saying again that nobody is above criticism or from receiving backlash when they take the initiative to provoke. The Top Gear guys have free speech to mock, other people have free speech to criticize them.
1806  Other / Off-topic / Re: Help us take down the Jimmy Kimmel show! Corrupt US citizens. on: October 27, 2013, 11:15:34 PM
. Top Gear attacked over their comments about mexicans they were being extremely stereotypical and so were labelled racists, again by grumpy assholes with no sense of humour who have nothing better to do
Top Gear are not above criticism just because they are "cool". If they can't handle backslash, don't make an attempt at humor.
1807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AMD R9 290X? on: October 27, 2013, 10:11:15 PM
We first need Luke JR or ckolivas to add support in their scrypt mining programs...so we'll have to wait
Tbh, I don't see why mining software has to change. What an owner of a 290x card has to make sure is that drivers and OpenCL SDK are available.

I'd like to see a useful proof-of-work, with algorithm like those one can find on BOINC projects

Is there a choice for windows server 2012?

No only linux. Unless you want a custom order like a dedicated server to yourself
Does the VPS support installing another Virtual machine software inside like VirtualBox, or does Linux come with Wine installed?

The odds for duplicate address aren't "only" 1 in 2^160. It's similar to the birthday paradox, where it only takes 23 people for a 50% probability

Sure, but there are only 365 possible birth dates. Not 2^160 Wink (which is more than 2.74 * 2^157 times as much)
Yes, but there are also more than 23 addresses in use.

The odds are 1 - ((2^160-1)/2^160) * ((2^160-2)/2^160) * ((2^160-3)/2^160) * ((2^160-4)/2^160) * ... repeating for the # of addresses already generated

The answer to this has nothing to do with faith or how people feel, but with a numeric library

1815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: From Stable to even Higher GPU Hashing Performance on: October 20, 2013, 08:03:01 AM
I'm using the compiled .bin. It's excellent!

I wonder if I manage to do the same for the 6950

You guys should read the OP again and again, until you get the point  Roll Eyes

If you are a "professional" miner, this thread (out of thousands in this forum) isn't even for you anyway.
1817  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Ok, tomorrow I'm going to SOLO mine BTC for the fuck of it! on: October 20, 2013, 12:26:01 AM
Damn, what a pain in the ass it has been trying to make it work.

I'll try tomorrow (sunday). If I can't make it, screw this

What trouble are you having?  Setting up solo mining is very easy.  I thought you were using a couple GPU's?

I pointed my 19-20Ghs at my Bitcoin-QT .85 and it worked fine.  It leaked shares on block changes but the rest of the time it seemed to keep my hardware busy.
I was unable to generate the .bin's for any kernel. It took me a while to figure out that I had to do one at a time, i.e. disable card at the Device Manager. Then I made it, but the cards started mining at high voltage (wtf!?), risking to toast the GPUs or the PSU (which already happened before I bought the Corsair)

Finally, the miner isn't unable to connect to the rpcport of bitcoin, while it had no trouble when I solo mined 2 scrypt coins.

In the middle of this and to had to the mess, the wireless dongle crapped out.

Tomorrow I'll try again for the last time. If it works, I'll provide an URL and password for VNC viewer  Smiley
1818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pool][Profit-Switch][Optional Auto-Exchange per Coin][Vardiff] ~ Hashcows on: October 19, 2013, 11:38:24 PM
my estimates is steady dropping from 0.022 to 0.016 and i even have more (400khash) hashing power. somethings cant be right, but i guess we will know the true value once it gets paid tonight..
Oh, it is right. Expect worse day by day. That's the price to pay for throwing hundreds of Mh/s at coins when they look a bit more profitable and
the need of dumping coins at exchanges, at lower price, in order to get BTC. Some more profitable coins can't be mined in auto-pools because that profitability wouldn't last 10 seconds. If you want better payouts, you need to set up your own strategy, including having your own scripts, pools and trading bot

Good rant. Well said!

The fact that I'm making money with my cards is interesting, but it's mostly a fun hobby
