I don't know if it counts as overclocking, but I was going to flash the cards and turn them into 6970's.
I have modded the original 6950 bios of mine, just unlocked shaders but kept the original voltage. Instead of raising to 1.188V, it stays at 1.1. I get 490 Kh/s out of it at 900Mhz core and 1500Mhz vram. You may get a tad more if you use the 6970's voltage.

Regarding if you will manage better Kh/$ elsewhere, I don't think so.

Nothing stops you from developing your own client and promote it
1744  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin transfer on: November 06, 2013, 12:03:11 AM
On (most?) pools you don't pay transfer fees when auto-payout is used. The pool absorves those fees because they pay out to multiple outputs on a single transfer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, though...
1745  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: November 05, 2013, 11:55:21 PM
So you ordered pre-order hardware from a company with shitty history, non existent customer service and owners that are convicted felons and you are surprised you get scammed?
You're talking after the fact. It's obvious NOW.

Then you aren't trying to put the burden on the victims of the scam, right? The criminals are the ones 100% to blame, all the time.

And it was obvious to everyone who used there brains from December 2012, latest Feb 2013 for the slow people, that bfl and josh were scamming cockroaches. Which i say, and will stick to that If you ordered after this date, you need to start doing your research before you jump the gun and act like a fool! Its nothing personal, its just the truth.

People are falable, always but you can do something about it, like thinkingngor yourself instead of being a sheep!
I didn't order anything.

The fact that people are naive does not justify scams. Then they do not have to do research on scams, that's the job of the police, regulators, etc...

Furthermore, the rhetoric of blaming the victim is getting old, to say the least. People should be ashamed of insisting on this crap, libertarian or not, wild-wild West or not ...

Yes, buy them! You get  2.5 - 3$ /day mining and then you may even sell them for more than you paid for!
1749  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: USB Miners on: November 05, 2013, 06:45:53 AM
There are at least 3 ways to get bitcoins from "mining":
- Having the specialized hardware (starting with the mentioned USB miners )
- Mine other coins with ATI video cards and trade for bitcoins, or just point to https://hashco.ws or middlecoin.com
- Mining contracts or virtual mining. eg. buy/trade "virtual Gh/s"  at https://cex.io

Now, the associated risk, start-up and recurring costs are very different. Ex: GPU's are the least efficient, but you can always sell the video cards or use them for gaming/specialized software later
1750  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can't post this on the Blue Fury thread on: November 05, 2013, 06:41:01 AM
Try different miners (cgminer and bfgminer) and for each, try different kernels.
Make sure your USB provides enough power
Or maybe your hardware is indeed faulty  Sad

Hi there i would like to know if mining ltc is any decent profit? Any calc that you recommend using out there? I would love to know estimated profit per ghs. Thanks,   Dani
What some people do is point their miner software at a pool that switches to, and automatically mines the most profitable coin.

- Avaria de equipamento (não me preocupar com RMA's o que implica dias ou semanas de inactividade);
[No forum da KNC não imaginam a quantidade de pessoas que fica 1 semana à espera pela troca do equipamento ou reparação. Fora os custos de reenvio que são suportados pelos compradores.]

- Internet 24/7 durante 6 meses seguidos. Não me pareceu que ia correr bem para os meus lados;
- Upgrade de firmwares e aplicação de Patches (feito por eles);
- fonte de alimentação +- 150€ que não me preocupo, eles colocam.
Na minha opinião foi a melhor escolha ...
Depois de ele ter explicado melhor, já não é dificil chegar a essa conclusão  Tongue

Atleast I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I'm sure that is not what you intended to say ...
