Why not just do a community takeover?  Seriously. Wallet seems to be solid. We just need someone that is capable of moving things along.

I'd be happy to jump in and help out in the community, set up a website, twitter account, etc...If there is the interest, I say we make it happen.

Yes, I have interest, but I also have no idea how to make something like this happen.  It seems like a good coin, I hate to see it die.
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BBC suggest bitcoin as "lesser of two evils" on: July 10, 2015, 07:48:16 PM
I lolled at that video.  If it was not actually on the website I would think a 12 year old made it for youtube.  But the BBC is known for poor production value.

The bitcoin crook was really funny.  I don't like how btc is called an evil, but when it gets on to major media outlets some people will not know what it is.  So more people finding out about it is generally good.
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we make more use of services offering off-chain transactions? on: July 10, 2015, 07:44:20 PM
Offchain transaction doesn't provide the necessary transparency that Bitcoin can. The trust needed for the service is huge and historically, some of those companies ends up being a scam. Offchain transactions can be faked by the operator easily and they can also be reversed. It is basically just like a bank.

That's exactly right. In fact, you could technically use it for fractional reserve banking of btc.

Oh no, not fractional banking Sad  Banks are all scams and we all pay for it in the end.  But I think that off-chain transactions are inevitable.  I hope that fractional reserve is not.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin projects need more 'professional' designing, editing to advance on: July 10, 2015, 07:39:07 PM
I don't know, when I am looking at a service, I look mostly at the service and not the shiny things.  But also I disagree, I think that many websites I visit are well designed and look good.  I guess it is just a matter of opinion.
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralization and lack of authority as a weakness on: July 10, 2015, 07:36:45 PM
I don't think it is a weakness, but it means that there usually is not decisive action for problems.  This is maybe a good thing too, because more input for problem solving can mean better results.  But not always.
166  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Warned By RNC Chairman On His Immigration Rhetoric on: July 09, 2015, 05:00:58 PM
Trump is an idiot.  The fact that he is right now doing so well is kind of scary.  But I guess he would not be any worse than the last guys we have in office.  It is like that south park episode, right now we are choosing between a crap sandwich and a giant douche.  But in stead of 2 choices like that we get a whole bunch.
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of Euro after grexit? on: July 09, 2015, 04:55:27 PM
If EUR was to become equal to USD panic will start because that would be huge news. People remember that EUR is typically worth a bit more than 1 USD. When they hear it's equal they will start converting their euros into dollars and bitcoins which will further accelerate the fall of EUR. EUR is in dead cat bounce, see this topic:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1112770.0

I disagree, I think that the euro is backed by a strong economy.  Sure the grece will make a dent but long term I think it is ok.  But I could be wrong, you can never overestimate the silliness of crowds when fear is in the air.
168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Using this price model, what price do you see Bitcoin reaching in the next year? on: July 09, 2015, 04:52:51 PM
I don't know how useful this tool is for being accurate, but it all depends on two things: more retailers taking coins, and more people using them.  If major retailer like amazon takes coin, and it gets easier to buy them with fiat (because it is a pita right now) then I can see the price explosion that makes the previous bubble look tame.

Well. That was a bust.

Yeah, well I hope the dev comes back, it is sad to see them disappear like that, maybe he is just busy.  Come back dev!
170  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: ChainProfit.com - 30+ BTC Invested | 140% Return | Running over two months now on: July 09, 2015, 04:44:10 PM
106 confirmations, no deposit.  This is my second deposit, and the second time it didn't go through.  How can I play this game like this?  This is really bad service dev, and I can see that I am not the only one with the problem.  You have to fix this asap, no one will want to play if they have to wait days to make a deposit.  I will pm you my tx, but it is a pain in the ass, I shouldn't have to do this.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best online wallet for Litecoin ? on: July 09, 2015, 12:43:43 AM
I don't know what you mean for that wallet, but I use electrum and it is a very nice wallet for litecoins.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NYSE market, WTF!? on: July 09, 2015, 12:41:57 AM
There are some things I don't like about the stock markets right now.  I have said for a long time that things are at a tipping point, waiting for a catalyst to push it over.  I think Greece should be that thing, so I sold all of my stocks.  If I am wrong I can buy in, but if I am right?  Then we are looking at another asset bubble burts!

The Chinese market looks weird, I read that the government is buying stocks there to keep the prices from falling.  That is a very very bad sign.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bittrex / Poloniex / Cryptsy All Coin Trading Software, Quatloo Trader. on: July 09, 2015, 12:38:48 AM
Friday now........................................

Where do you find this information about the announcements of upgrades?  Does hoe put them on a website somewhere?
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MicroGuy's Altcoin Pick of the Week (Inside Scoop) on: July 08, 2015, 12:48:03 AM
Golden river?  Should it not be a golden shower in stead?

Looks like an interesting pick, I might put some dust in to see what it will do!

Edit: So, I sent a little bit of coins to cryptsy, and then after I send I see a message saying that all things are on hold there, so this is a warning.  Good thing I only sent a little bit, I hope I dont lose it!
175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this the best way to make a paper wallet? on: July 07, 2015, 10:13:22 PM

Thank you, always with the best links Mr. LTC guy!  I never saw that device before, and I wonder how secure it is, but it looks like a great way to make multiple paper wallets really easy.
176  Economy / Economics / Re: China markets, WTF!? on: July 07, 2015, 10:09:01 PM
And the interesting thing is China started buying up stock, the government is buying stock, to prevent a further collapse in price.  The end result is the exact same thing as the usa's Greenspan put (and its successors), an artificial price support.  This will make for bubbles and inflated asset valuations, if my thinking is correct.  I wonder, if the usa will do this too eventually because you can only lower interest rates to zero, and then there is no where to go.  I mean in addition to QE that they did.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Citigroup Is Testing Its Own Bitcoin: 'Citicoin' on: July 07, 2015, 10:03:09 PM
Now this is interesting.  I would never think a bank would do this.  They make too much from wire transfers and other things.  I wonder what their angle is?  Maybe there will be something shady about the coin, like a pre mine or something.  But the god thing is that they have lots of customers, and if those customers are exposed to a crypto, then we have more people using cryptos overnight.  This will be good for us I think, and bitcoin will grow in to the monster we all know it is.
178  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1BTC GIVEAWAY WITH NEW BITDICE GAME - SLOPE on: July 07, 2015, 09:47:22 PM
But how does this game work?  Is is a simple high low game?  Then why does it have that fancy chart?  More information please in the opening post.
179  Other / Meta / Re: Just curious...why does my activity number stay the same after multiple posts?? on: July 06, 2015, 09:44:54 PM
You can only get 1 activity point a day.  However, if you only post once in each 14 day period, then later on you can make up for the days you didn't post and get more activity.
180  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [wts] malwarebytes premium keys 0.50$ CAN BE USED UNLIMITED AMOUNT OF TIMES on: July 06, 2015, 09:39:12 PM
Is this legit?  I am sorry to ask, I don't mean any offense, but it seems to cheap?  I am looking to get a new laptop in maybe 2 weeks or so, and I will be back then to look for this.  Thanks!
