41  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help- Bitcoin in futures market on: July 31, 2015, 04:16:15 PM
I suggest you read up on futures markets, it can be hard to trade these.  You might be better off just buying and holding.
42  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to 220-240? on: July 31, 2015, 04:13:58 PM
I don't think so.  I think we go up from here, but I would be really glad to be wrong so I can buy some more cheap coins.  I see the trading range 280-295 or so, until upper resistance is broken at some point later this year.  Then it is up and away.

Of course I am a noob so don't buy on my advice.  But I don't really see why it should go down from here.
43  Other / Politics & Society / Re: German prosecutors investigate Internet journalists for treason on: July 31, 2015, 04:08:12 PM
Welcome to the future.  After the Snowden thing we are in a new age of government control.  But what can we do about it?  I don't think there is any way to stop these things.  Good luck to the two journalists.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Karpeles finally getting some Japanese style justice - hang 'em high on: July 31, 2015, 04:04:16 PM
Justice.  It seems that the authorities are not really going after criminals in the crypto world that much.  I wonder if it is because they have no idea what all this stuff is?
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A gold-backed coin on: July 31, 2015, 04:00:07 PM
I don't see the point.  For me cryptos are a way to get away from fiat and gold, and commodities.  Maybe it would appeal to some but not me.  As others have said, if I wanted gold I would just go buy some.  I feel that there is a high risk here.  What if the coin dupms (and they all dump sooner or later) and I can get gold for 50% of the price.  Would I hold the coin?  Hell no I would trade it for gold.  So I don't think this would work because people would not want it long term, only for profits.  Then when everyone trades in for gold there will be no more coins.
46  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-07-28]BitMesh Lets You Earn Bitcoin For Sharing Bandwidth on: July 31, 2015, 06:07:37 AM
Woah.  This is one of those ideas that seems so obvious that I think "how did I not think of it."  I hope I see this become real and widespread.  We are letting free the internet, and breaking up the monopolies with this.  Awesome Smiley

But how do I know, that someone using my network will not have access to my stuff?
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you use Bitcoin and access Bitcointalk freely without using a VPN? on: July 31, 2015, 06:00:28 AM
I'm in US. No restrictions, land of the free:)

China might be the only country with restrictions so far, Russia might join you soon so you don't feel alone

yeah.  Free.  Especially if you are white and christian.  But they would never block anything right?  Especially not a site that thinks free speech is good, like wiki leaks right?

To op, I think your best bet might be to check in the local forums here, there are likely people with the same problems in your areas.  In this sub forums there might not be as many people who know about your problems.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Coinmarketcap is wrong and why Getgems is half price. on: July 31, 2015, 05:53:18 AM
But, how long are they out of circulation guaranteed?   Can't they be put right back in to circulation if the holders find that the price is favorable?  And, then the full balance is available for market cap, and not half?  I am staking right now with a different coin, but i can move them pretty much whenever I want, so unless this coin is vastly different, it should be similar.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Leocoin lol on: July 31, 2015, 12:23:18 AM
Sorry, I could only get through about 30 seconds of that video.  All I can say is that guy seems very confident about something or other.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ShadowCash one of the most advanced Crypto projects to date? on: July 31, 2015, 12:21:16 AM
How about you support your ridiculous claim that SC is the most advanced crypto to date? Otherwise your post pretty much is just pointless spam.
Besides, why the hell would anyone want a coin that is barely traded with 21 BTC daily volume?

And if you consider it 1:1 to BTC, I have an unlimited supply for you to sell.

Didn't he though?  I see a lot of reasons he provided.  A lot of coins don't have that stuff.  And 21 btc daily volume is pretty decent, if you are at all familiar with alts.  The strange thing is, it doesn't seem to matter how good a coin is.  It seems like pure luck which ones succeed.
51  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: July 29, 2015, 05:46:58 PM
If I ever get enough money, then yes I would go full btc.  But I think that the success of the early adopters may not be repeated again so spectacularly.  I think I can do ok, but I doubt I will become a millionaire from it.
52  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin cloud mining on: July 29, 2015, 05:43:33 PM
Don't listen to all of this fud.  There are a few good cloud miners out there.  I like hashnest.  I doubt all of these people making statements like "you never make money with cloud mining" "they are all scams" and stuff like that have bothered to do the research.  I doubt they even have mining hash anywhere, they all sound like they are just parroting things they read somewhere else.  You have to understand the investment.  People want to double their money overnight, so they say that it is bad investment because that doesn't happen.  But I am getting 10-15% return a month on hashnest right now.  You try to find another investment like that.  Sure it will take months to get roi, but it is a lifetime contract (as long as it is profitable) so after that it is just gravy.  And you can sell the hash too to get your investment back if you want.

But you have to understand things like: btc price, network difficulty, price of hardware, and some other things.  It is not so simple so before you get in to it, do some research and decide for yourself if it is a good investment for you.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero - why the sudden hype? on: July 29, 2015, 05:36:31 PM
simple, i think that risto pay these people Roll Eyes

I think this is possible, but who knows, maybe people are genuinely interested in the coin.  I don't see too much chat about it, but what I see tends to be positive.
54  Economy / Services / Re: Creating a new digital currency on: July 29, 2015, 05:33:35 PM
Just a suggestion, there have been an awful lot of crapcoin ico lately, and there might be some alt-fatigue devloping.  If I was developing a coin, I would spend a lot of time on these forums reading through all of these alt coins.  See what worked and what didn't.  See what people like and what they dont.  We don't need another coin, so figure out how to make us want it by making it better than the other coins out there.
55  Economy / Economics / Re: Article: Greece Minister Yanis Varaufakis Admits Experimenting with Parallel ... on: July 29, 2015, 05:30:26 PM
Well even if it isn't btc, things like this are slowly making people more aware, and this can only be a good thing.
56  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Hardware wallet ? on: July 28, 2015, 04:16:07 PM
Trezor is most tested/popular as far as hardware wallet out there.  It is not cheap but most tested for sure.

Also keep in mind paper wallets.  Honestly a good paper wallet is hard to beat.   Just makes it harder to spend though.

What makes it a "good paper wallet" , isn't a paperwallet like any other paperwallet? I mean you just head tothe website , print it and keep it somewhere safe. you can't compare between different Paper-wallets

Printing it at home and not in public for one.  Clearing cache of printer where it is not in it.   The dumber the printer honestly the better security.

You need to keep it safe as far as where you put it.  Other big thing is when you use do it safely.  If you get the wallet loaded on a computer that is used for web surfing it could be bad.  Your paper wallet is only as safe as the computer you load it on eventually.

Do you have a site you can suggest?  I found some but I never used them, so I am a little paranoid to use any of them for a paper wallet.

For the HW wallet, there are different options.  The two I like are trezor and ledger.  Trezor is better but more expensive.  Ledger is not as good but much cheaper.  They even have a 15$ version if you don't want the bells and whistles.  The is a pretty good price I think.  It jsut depends on what you want.  Take a look at the features of each, look at reviews, etc.  And search around, they are releasing new HW wallets all the time.  I didn't hear yet that any hw wallets are bad, just different features.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Globe] Global – Decentralized Global Payments on: July 28, 2015, 04:12:15 PM
I bought a little bit, but now I can't well it because it is below trex's minimum lol.  Oh well.  Some very strange action on this coin!  To see the price plummet so much so fast, is sad.  I hope the dev works on this coin and gets it going.
58  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Paypal to Bitcoins on: July 28, 2015, 04:06:58 PM
Hi, I think your best place is localbitcoins for this.  In general people don't want to trade with paypal, because it is reversible.  It is not that no one trusts you, its just that pretty much no one trusts anyone here.

Or if you had some good trust ratings then maybe, but IMO it will be hard for you to trade with PP.  You might be better off getting cash or going through ach to coinbase.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin / Crypto wreaking havoc on Dow, Shanghai composite and Commodities on: July 28, 2015, 04:00:33 PM
i cant see a correlation between the stock market and BTC , sorry. BTC moves very independent.
I am on board with this, there are way too many factors for commodities per market and no way they can peg to crypto alone. Hell just one manufacturer can change prices to copper.

I don't disagree, but doesn't it seem like, in general, when the stock market/assets goes down, btc goes up?  I agree there is not enough data to make a call, but this is what it looks like recently.  Maybe more investors are aware of cryptos.
60  Economy / Speculation / Re: You all know it's going to crash? on: July 27, 2015, 06:24:15 PM
I disagree, I think there is really strong support in the low 280's.  I could be wrong but I see it staying in this range for a while then heading above 300.
