Sorry if I am a little slow here, but are you saying that they are dissolved, because they didn't file?  I think that is it yea?
222  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is BitLicense A Good Thing? on: June 26, 2015, 06:51:53 AM
Do not be fooled by this.

The regulations started out with good intentions {So they say}... Stop Terrorism and Money laundering and protection for the consumer. They said, if these companies and individuals using these services are regulated, they would adhere to the AML/KYC requirements.

Then Lawsky saw a opportunity to stuff his pocket. {He made the regulations so complex, people have to hire him for his "advice" to be able to adhere to it}

This turned into a Circus act, and the audience is paying to watch the clowns. The people gave up their privacy under a smoke & mirror show.  Huh

Yes!  It is a total smoke screen!  They pull out the same things every time.  But the terrorists were getting the funds well before bitcoins were invented, and they don't need them.  It is just a joke, and I really wish that the average person would not take these things on the surface but look a little deeper.  But too bad because everyone wants to be in their suburban bliss.

June 26, 2015 - Today we finished the move to our new server. It took longer then expected due to some difficulties we encountered.
We're now running audits on all of the accounts. Once the account's been audited and verified, that account will be able to login.
Once all of the accounts have been audited and verified we'll enable trading and withdraws.

This looks like a good development.  It gives hope because if they were just scramming with the money then why bother to give messages?  From what I read about in the past the site owner just vanishes in a puff of smoke.  But I guess we will just have to wait and see for this one.
224  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Apple Removes All American Civil War Games From the App Store Showing the Flag on: June 26, 2015, 06:44:50 AM
This is so stupid.  We can't pretend that history didn't happen, we should remember it and celebrate it.  The confederates did lose the war after all.  The american civil war is very good for strategy games, because there are things like the railroads, rivers, crops, and things that fit very well into a game.

What really makes me angry is apple makes a big deal about a stupid flag, but they have working conditions so bad that they need suicide nets in their buildings.  Just put that into context and think about what is more important.

Hi, I suggest you make your post better and tell us why your faucet is worth visiting?  What does it offer, maybe a screen shot, etc, because I don't usually ever click on links like that without some more good information about it.

Now that he has apologized, I just hope that the United States would agree to give refugee status to all of the Chechens living in Russia and bring them to the US. As per the Chechen social media, the Chechens and other minorities such as the Ingush and the Daghestanis are facing a lot of discrimination in Russia. Time has come to end the discrimination, by bringing all of them to the EU / US.

Are they rich?  If they have money they can get what ever they want.  But if they are poor refuges in need of help then the land of freedom will not lift a finger.  Too bad, I feel that the more diverse cultures we have in america is better for everyone, it really enriches our society.

About the terrorist guy, I think that it is possible that he had time to reflect and came to feel he made a mistake.  But what he did was not a simple mistake like stealing a car or beating someone up.  What he did has permanent effects and consequences, so too bad but he still has to pay for what he did.
227  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is BitLicense A Good Thing? on: June 26, 2015, 06:24:40 AM
No of course not, these regulations are not a good thing.  The news places will say that it is because the government is afraid that you will use bitcoins to avoid taxes or to do illegal things like buy drugs.

BULLSHIT!

I don't know too many drug dealers personally, but my guess is that it is easier to find one that takes cash instead of bitcoins.  And it is so easy to avoid taxes with cryptos that a child could do it.  Why is the government concerned with a few thousands of taxes, when billions and billions of dollars are being successfully hidden over seas, or not hidden if you are a corporation.  Yes I know that there are some rich people with bitcoins, but the market cap of ALL bitcoins is NOTHING compared to the nonsense going on with good old fiat.

No this is just a smoke screen.  These regulations are obviously being bought by big banks.  It is the normal racket: increase the barrier to entry for everyone and you lose most of the competition in your dust.  Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.  And there isn't a damn thing we can do about it.
228  Economy / Gambling / Re: winning tricks Calling Outs and ODDS Poker (POKER LOUNGE) on: June 26, 2015, 06:14:02 AM
Hii all..

It is true that 4 of you said above?? Thats poker have a trick and the trick was counting like math?? Pliss share it more, i want to know all you got..

Because what i know playing poker only need luck to get good/best pair of cards and must have great mentality to bid more from others (have poker face), even if your cards were only High card without any single pair. But Pliss correct me if im wrong to give and share what i have in my mind.. i like to gambling but only on sportsbook and sometimes dice game, but never try poker or any other cards

let me make it easy for u guys , I think all of you know what are the good cards
but when we are talking about math , it's not that easy but also not that complicated

I will try to give you a small example : let's say we have A2 of spades and the Board is : Qs3s7hKd

The pot is $100 and our opponent moves all-in for $50. So we have to call $50 for a chance of winning a total of $150. Assuming that the only way for us to win the hand is by hitting our flush on the last card ( we put our opponents on at least two pairs ), what is the expected value of calling? In other words, is it profitable for us to call?
and he we go with the math : The probability of hitting a flush on the river is 4.1 to 1, which is roughly 20% chance or 0.2. Therefore, the odds of not hitting a flush will be 1 - 0.2 = 0.8
Also, notice how we are looking to win $150 and only lose $50 in each outcome. We are only going to lose $50 because that is how much we are paying to try and hit our flush in this single decision. We are not factoring in money that we have put in to the pot in previous betting rounds. We just take the facts from this decision alone
so now our EV one hitting the flush is : 150$ x 0.2 = +30$
now if we calculate our EV if we don't hit the flush this would be : -50$ x 0.8 = -40$
total EV = -10$ , that means the average of us when we call in this situation is losing 10$ every hand
so this is a situation we have to avoid calling on it ( calling the bet here is worst than playing dice or roulette )

now let's say that our opponent only raise 10$ , so that would make us risk 10$ to win 60$
let's do the math again in this situation  Grin
if we hit EV woud be : 60$ x 0.2 = +12$
if we don't hit EV would be : -10$ x 0.8 = -8$
EV = +4$ , which means in everytime we call this hand we are expecting to make 4$ and he we are doing the right decision and these decisions which makes some players winners and others are losers

I really hope that u understand a little about how math plays its part in poker

Thank you darling, that was a beautiful explanation :*  Now I need to find a bot that can do this for me!  I find this idea really interesting, and I love it how math wins AGAIN.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: intrinsic Problem of Altcoins on: June 26, 2015, 06:09:10 AM
I imagine the motives are different for everyone.  Some to get rich, others to make an innovation.  Who knows what else.  Maybe some are just interested in the challenge.  For me I would like to make a vanity coin, that was not worth anything , but just for fun.  But there are already so many of these that there really is not any point.
230  Economy / Economics / Re: BLYTHE MASTERS: Wall Street moving in on BTC on: June 26, 2015, 06:02:00 AM
I knew it is only a matter of time.  You can count on it, the more successful cryptos are, the more you will see big players entering the markets.  It doesn't have to be a bad thing, but lets face it, it will be a bad thing.  Look at regulations for stocks.  Why do you think you need an account of at least 25,000$ to day trade?  All of the rules are made by them and the deck is stacked against everyone else.  When they jump in here with both feet it will be the same.  Already they have done this in california, where it will soon be illegal to sell coins on LBC.  Then the big boys will step in and take over that part of the market.  Don't think for a second that it is a coincidence.  This is perhaps the end of the golden days, but on the bright side we will all benefit when that juicy wall street money pours in.  The market cap will shoot up, and so will the value of your coins.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DRKT] Full POS Multipool trading on BITTREX, C-Cex, Yobit and Bluetrade on: June 26, 2015, 05:51:03 AM
Worst pump and dump scam EVER.

IDK, I am not so sure.  Anything is possible, but there is a limited number of these coins, no more will be created right?  I know that doesn't mean by itself it is a good coin, but I like that, it makes me feel like there is a potential value there.  It is a risk, all alts are a risk, but that is ok.  I got them for really cheap anyway so it is ok to lose a bit too.

9% annual return for masternodes, so im not so sure if the supply of drkt is over.

It just smells of copy paste scam.

Dev has been gone 5days, after claiming he would aim for an update everyday?

Scam imo.

Edit: 6days.

You want real development? By sincere people? With REAL interest in crypto currencies?
Then look up the two cryptos bellow my post Wink

HAHA because those are good coins darling.  Maybe they are not bad, but they have as much bad press as anyone.  I stand by my words, all alt coins are highly risky, even dash.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nasdaq Selects Bitcoin Startup Chain To Run Pilot In Private Market Arm on: June 25, 2015, 09:46:28 PM
NASDAQ is finally coming to terms and joining the bitcoin blockchain. This has just started. So many good news lately pulling up. It's only a matter of time until it starts translating into the price. Just relax and get comfy in your long travel as you hold.

Yeah, it will be fun once wall street jumps in with both feet.  I was looking at an alt coin the other day, thinking I could move the market all by myself.  Try that with a stock!  Just wait, I hope it happens Smiley
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding how bitcoin works is IRRELEVANT on: June 25, 2015, 09:44:27 PM
The author is right, Bitcoin has reached a point in which you don't really have to understand it's underlying technology to be able to use it.
Same with cellphones, TV, PC etc. Smiley thats reality

Most things are like this.  How many people really understand how their car works?  Who really knows what a turbo charger does?  This information is readily available, but the majority of people don't even care.
234  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many Bitcoins are lost forever? on: June 25, 2015, 09:38:59 PM
There is no way to estimate percentage of lost coins though. Coins haven't been moved for months or years could still be owned by someone.

I was thinking exactly this.  It would not be unusual for someone to sit on a pile of them and wait for the value to go up.  I read an article that said if 15% of people in the world used bitcoin, then they would be worth 500k each.  Now, I know this number is far fetched and not something to count on, but the point is that many people believe that the value of them will go up a lot in the future, so they will sit on them.

I hope this site grows and is not shut down, maybe it could be the central market for things some day, like an ebay for cryptos.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DIBBIT - GREAT SCAM HOSTED BY BITTREX. SAME GRID DEV MADE NEXT MONEY MACHINE on: June 25, 2015, 07:18:55 AM
I don't think bittrex is a scammer, they are just making good business sense.  They are a market and provide that service.  I am not sure how much is their responsibility to ensure that every coin they offer will make a profit.  But with that said I do think that they provide a good environment for scam coins because they list stuff fast, and delist it faster.  I wish they wouldnt delist things so fast, because sometimes a coin can come back from the dead so you might as well hang on to them if they become worthless.
237  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have 1 BTC, how will you make it to 1.1 BTC in the best way? 10$ Prize on: June 25, 2015, 07:14:48 AM
I don't think there are any low risk strategies for that kind of money.  Do the math, even with 1 btc if you can get 10% compounding interest every 3 days you will be rich very quick.  Well maybe not quick but it will win against your 401k.

I hesitate to say because it is very high risk, but altcoin trading is your best bet for that kind of return.  Poloniex, and maybe a couple of other exchanges have leveraged trading so with 1 btc you can actually use 3 btc for buying and selling.  But even if you know what you are doing this is a fast way to lose your coins.  But like I said, anything that will return that kind of % will be high risk, otherwise we would all know about it and use it to get rich.  Good luck!
238  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: California Cryptocurrency Bill next committee meeting is Tomorrow on: June 25, 2015, 06:58:09 AM
Crap, I wish I knew about this earlier.  I dont come to the legal forums very often.  This is total B.S.  So what if I trade on a foreign exchange?  Does this mean that I have to use Tor now for everything?  I hope not because it is very slow to load anything.  Thanks for posting this and I wish I could have gone.  I guess I have some reading to do.

Edit:  OK so it is not as bad as I thought:

"(c) “Virtual currency business” means the conduct of either of the following types of activities involving a California resident:
(1) Storing, holding, or maintaining custody or control of virtual currency on behalf of others.
(2) Providing conversion or exchange services of fiat currency into virtual currency or the conversion or exchange of virtual currency into fiat currency or other value, or the conversion or exchange of one form of virtual currency into another form of virtual currency."

So basically it looks like they want to ban California based exchanges.  I have no idea why they would not want to tax this stuff, but whatever.

The wording seems vague and difficult to interpret, but the way I read it you can still run a business such as selling stuff online for bitcoins, you just can't run a wallet or exchange.  Is that right?  Are there any lawyers here to interpret this?

So in other words, if I want to sell 50$ of bitcoins on LBC, then I need a 5000$ license?  This is horrible.  I have to read more on this but I hope it is not the case.  They obviously want to kill bitcoins here.
239  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is it illegal for me to sell my Bitcoins? on: June 25, 2015, 06:47:06 AM
I was thinking of using localbitcoins, but this is all just so absurd.  Its not money, right?  Or is it?  Best of both worlds fo rthe government but they make the rules, and they are bought by the banks to make rules.  Why pay 50$ to wire money to your family over seas when you can pay 2 cents to send it with bitcoins?  I think the banks are behind all of these bizarre regulations, and they want to limit the usefulness of bitcoins.

AFAIK what the did in florida was not entrapment.  Entrapment is when they get you to do something illegal, like if an undercover agent offers you a blow job for 50$.  They didn't do this, what they did was more like asking if they could borrow money to pay the prostitute.  It is a fine line, but important to know the difference.
