441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We're getting married! We're going to record it on the blockchain! on: May 31, 2015, 08:37:12 PM
I haven't quite yet figured out how to yet but in my 2 minutes of research it looks pretty simple! We couldn't be happier! The bitcoin community is awesome and I'm pretty excited to use the blockchain to record the event and our agreements once we get those completed!

I hope you divorce soon, and that your kids are ugly and retarded if you have any. I'll write it on the blockchain just after the record of your marriage.
Please, don't forget the blockchain wasn't designed for this purpose. Just joking...

A bit harsh don't you think dear?

Congratulations to the newlyweds!  If I ever get married I will definitely consider this sort of wedding as one of the options.
442  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dark Knights of Poker Promotion $25.00 Free!!! on: May 31, 2015, 08:28:07 PM
Do I need to play 25 hours continuously to be eligible to make withdraw request ? Is not that difficult for anyone to play non stop ? Or 25 hours in total to play easy easy everyday ? Sorry for dumb question !

It has to be 25 total hours.  No one would play 25 straight for a mere 25 bonus.  I would take this offer but the time requirement is just too much.  I don't like poker enough to play it for 25 hours!
443  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the Lowest Price Exchanger for Buy BTC with Credit/Debit Card? on: May 31, 2015, 08:23:21 PM
Why is this, I thought Btc-e was one of the major exchanges?

withdraw and deposit take too long, also bad fee, and price are usually higher compared to bitstamp for example(even now 234 vs 231) i guess it could be good for arbitrage...

Thanks dear.  That is quite the gap, a good opportunity for arbitrage for sure.  Too bad you would need to swing some big bucks to actually make money on it.
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reminder: Lawsky promised Bitlicense by the end of May "at the latest" on: May 31, 2015, 08:18:49 PM
I used coinbase only to buy coins.  After I got them I moved them to other wallets or places like hashnest.  For me they were easy to deal with.  The only problem was it took a whole week to get the funds transferred from the back which is a bit much imo.  But their customer service was great when I had a question.

Hello, I am now a full member.  It looks like that payout is the same so no big deal, just mentioning it fyi.
446  Economy / Economics / Re: [Chart] Here is my prediction about Bitcoin Price till 1st Dec 2017 on: May 30, 2015, 04:48:21 PM
That would be a boring ride to come! May be good for new entrepreneurs to join the party though! I do like the approach and sense of making a real estimation, not a wishful one.

I think the best profits can be made when it stays in a trading range.  There will be lots of small fluctuations that you can cash in on if you want to.

I am also really interested in how the OP came up with these numbers.  That is a really far way out to predict, but I am intrigued.

All of the exchanges charge a large fee to buy with a CC, 5% or more.  The best way to buy bitcoins, or the cheapest way that I found so far is to do a bank transfer through coinbase.  There might be a cheaper way through a less reputable place.  Coinbase charges 1%.  It is kind of annoying to pay that much but once you get the coins it is pretty cheap to move them around.

ffs please avoid services like btc-e..

Why is this, I thought Btc-e was one of the major exchanges?
448  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Technical bitcoin news source on: May 30, 2015, 04:14:46 PM
I would like to know the best websites for news regarding bitcoin. I regularly view Coindesk however I've noticed that it covers matters in a rather non-technical way. Are there any news sites or blogs that describe current bitcoin news in more technical terms?

There are hundreds of bitcoin news site, all not so technical:
cryptocoinnews.com
bitcoinmagazine.com
coinfox.info
247cryptonews.com
coinreport.net
newsbtc.com
thebitcoinnews.com
bitcoindailynews.com

The technical bitcoin news is here:
http://sourceforge.net/p/bitcoin/mailman/bitcoin-development/?viewmonth=201505
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=6.0

Thanks for the links.  I usually read coindesk but their articles don't seem like the best.  Whenever I google for news the results are usually dubious.  That blog looks really interesting as well.

Welcome to the forum.  If you enjoy sharing your knowledge you might want to think about starting a blog, there are places like blogspot where you can get started for free.  It literally takes minutes to set it up.  If you want you can put some adsense or affiliate links on there and make a few bucks too.  If you do start a blog you might be able to announce it here in the forums somewhere (I would ask a mod where the right place is).  Also if you start one feel free to PM me and let me know, I would be interested in reading it.

For trading I have some advice:  Don't risk too much.  In fact you have an advantage over other types of trades liek stocks because for bitcoins they charge a flat %, for stocks they generally charge a flat fee (7$ or so).  This means that you can trade bitcoins with just some satoshis and not have to worry about losing because it is such a small amount.

Also yo-bit takes a fee to withdraw funds, so keep that in mind.  The amount you earn is small as a newbie so don't take out your earnings too often or it won't be worth it.

This look really interesting, I will have to keep an eye on this thread to see what other users experience.
452  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: High Paying Bitcoin Rotator on: May 30, 2015, 05:54:45 AM
Personally I think faucets are a waste of time.  Instead spend your time offering a service in the market, or get a regular job and use some of the money for bitcoins.  Faucets take hours and hours of your time to earn mere pennies.

That being said the one faucet that I do like is moonbitcoin because the satoshis generate over time, and you don't have to go back there every 15 minutes or whatever.  I don't use it anymore but of all the ones I tried I liked it best.
453  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you expect from the halving in 2016? on: May 30, 2015, 05:45:29 AM
I expect a large group of individual miners to stop mining and leave that entirely to large farms. That, in turn, will decrease the amount of disposible Bitcoin in the hands of people that frequent retailers instead of just selling mined coin to cover expenses like farms do. More selling to exchanges than spending or buying will decrease the price. It's always been expected that fees will replace the reward as it drops so the system is self correcting. I don't think that's really how it's going to work. Transaction fees can't be pushed up fast enough.

That is a really interesting take on the situation.  I had just assumed that it would drive the the price up.

I thought that most individuals had already stopped mining?  Don't the farms and pools pretty much run the show now, at least for bitcoin?  I think that there will still be mid sized farms, and the new equipment coming out soonish will further decrease the ability of the average person to get into mining.  Assuming it is more expensive then the last generation.  Even if it does drive everything to large farms, it is only speeding up the inevitable.
454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gavin Threatens to Quit Bitcoin Development and Join Hearn's Fork on: May 30, 2015, 05:36:13 AM
This could be catastrophic for bitcoin.  If he leaves then in my opinion neither would be successful.  I suppose a major alt like litecoin could take over but I think even alts would be damaged by this.  Lets hope they can find a solution.

This lady has to be making this as a joke right?  No one can actually believe that?  Friggin rainbows in the sprinklers lol.

Mikestang someone once told me that the conpiracies are political: liberals are worried about contrails and conservatives trip out over black helicopters.  I wonder if it is true  Grin

Thanks for the info on the psu's Phillip.  BTW is there anywhere on the forums that has a psu round up?  I have not seen one.  Maybe I should check if the search is still broken Tongue  I got a corsair psu for my last computer and it is working great for several years now.  I never heard of Seasonic but I will keep them in mind for my next build.

What do you want to know? Seriously. I will try to prove myself, not to chat. Admin is sending me messages that my posts are bumping too often so yea, I will get a ban.
There is inbox for such questions.......

You are allowed to respond as often as you like, but you can only bump once every 24 hours.  At least that is how I understand the rules.  If someone asks you a question I am pretty sure you are allowed to answer it.  If you are unsure about this just ask a mod.

In the meantime here is a pro business tip: if you are rude to potential customers they tend not to do business with you.
458  Economy / Gambling / Re: OneHash || bet with bitcoins || no registration, ads and pop-ups on: May 29, 2015, 03:29:00 PM
Hi I have a suggestion for your.  The thread title says "no registration, ads and popups"  They way you say this means that ads and pop ups are a feature.  WHat I think you mean is "no registration, ads, OR popups."  Just a simple tip I hope it helps.

Hello, everyone can win ! Currently auction wins psycho, but everyone can try to win Smiley

Do you mean that a user named psycho won the first round?  How many rounds will there be?  This is an interesting game.  If someone won the first round they should post here with proof so everyone can see whether or not it is a legit game.
