101  Economy / Economics / Re: What don't we know about the Chinese economy? on: July 22, 2015, 05:23:05 PM
I suspect that just like every economy in the world, it is highly manipulated.  Which usually means that the typical business cycle is exacerbated, guaranteeing a bubble/burst in stead of a simple up/down.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Test Yourself: Are You the Ultimate Bitcoin Expert? on: July 22, 2015, 04:25:20 PM
I am not a bitcoin expert, I don't need a test for that!  I tried it, I got about half way through and then got bored.  I missed a few questions, where some of the answers looked almost the same.  But it was a fun quiz.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bittrex / Poloniex / Cryptsy All Coin Trading Software, Quatloo Trader. on: July 22, 2015, 04:08:13 PM
Do we even know what the features are yet for the circ bot?  The way that thread is written, it seems like a sales pitch too much for me.  I would think about getting in I guess if the bot was good, but the other exclusive club type stuff seems a bit fluffy.

Looking forward to the next qtl bot update Smiley
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Jet for Big Game Commercial - Vote Now on: July 21, 2015, 04:59:45 PM
Its ok, you can keep the extra seconds.  Its not your fault my browser is slow today.  I like this, it would be exciting to see it on a real superbowl commercial.  That is money right there!  You always have the best links mr. Litecoinguy!
105  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] BitcoinFactory - Up to 80.000 satoshis - 2 minutes - 50% Ref on: July 21, 2015, 04:54:04 PM
I prefer higher payout with longer claim time,
two minutes is too short.

This.  This is why I like moonbitcoin the best, you don't have to sit in front of the screen all day to get a decent faucet pay.
106  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] Forum Accounts on: July 21, 2015, 04:47:27 PM
I would not consider this unless you post some sort of ballpark for how you are willing to pay for what ranks.  Also I agree, I don't give account details before purchase for name, only for activity and rank.  Use an escrow to verify the quality of the accounts.
107  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buy Bitcoins with Paypal – step by step tutorial on: July 20, 2015, 10:16:17 PM
I think they are not so friendly!  I used paypal for trading a bit on LBC, and now my account is frozen.  Now they want my life history data to release MY money.  I can now see why so many people hate paypal, and I am glad that bitcoins are making a strong showing this year.

If you use a dictionary, make sure you don't end up using them in alphabetical order just because you started at the beginning Wink
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream Adoption on: July 20, 2015, 10:09:30 PM
In all honesty, Bitcoin is not yet ready for mass adoption. Don't get me wrong, minimal fees are great. However, this feature is overshadowed by all the hoops and obstacles companies have to go through to deal in Bitcoin, as well as the lack of fraud protection and overall user friendliness.

Why is it not ready? And there doesn't seem to be any hoops or obstacles. All they need to do is accept it which is simple to integrate whether you're an online store or brick and mortar shop. Fraud protection will be covered by a payment processor too, not that they have to worry about that much unlike credit card companies.
It is still an alpha software. Bitcoin Core is still alpha and hasn't even reached version 1.0 yet.

Yes, but it is ALMOST ready.  BC might be in alpha, but bitcoins are in beta if you know what I mean.  I think the biggest obstacle is how hard it is for the average person to buy bitcoins.  It is not that easy!

Just an address?  How do we know you will not cheat us?  What if no one pays after us do we get a refund after a certain time frame?
111  Economy / Gambling / Re: 124 Bitcoin jackpot in Dragon's Tale on: July 19, 2015, 07:19:59 PM
OMG, congrats Aston!  It is always fun to see the jackpot winners, it makes me think I could be lucky sometime, even though I will never be.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 60k Moneroj. Will i be a millionaire by 2017? on: July 19, 2015, 07:16:56 PM
The interesting thing is that if monero goes up and oy uput in that much, we will call you genius.  Otherwise we will call you a fool.
113  Economy / Speculation / Re: Permabull Party Thread on: July 19, 2015, 07:13:41 PM
Drop below 300 has little to do with Greece imo.

Just wait a bit once Greece goes on overdrive after it's clear what's already obvious by anyone with a brain: That Greece is on a dead end and can't pay the debt, and they will eventually abandon the eurozone (lets remember they cannot be kicked, but they can be "pushed").

I read that the banks open again in greece tomorrow.  We will see if there is a run or not.  Me, if I was in Greece, I would take every last penny out of the banks.  I don't know if I would put it in cryptos, but f**k those bank bastards I would stick it in my pillow.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A world without block rewards on: July 19, 2015, 07:03:38 PM
I think that the networks will always be self adjusting.  When there is less incentive, because of increased dificulty, lower block rewards, or whatever, then less capital will come in to the mining eco system, and will even flow out.  So when the block rewards are gone, then the miners will leave for some other coin, or they will turn off their equpment ni higer electricity cost areas, and only miners with an advantage can make money.  If you consider that interest rate returns are at best 5% or something a year, if bitcoins go more mainstream you can expect the profits to diminish as well when more players get in to the game.
115  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Provision / Insurance Fund on: July 19, 2015, 06:57:13 PM
I would not donate, but I might invest.  And as an investor I would want an iron clad guarentee that teh claimants are legit.  If auto insurance fraud is easy, then what would bitcoin fraud be?  I like the idea but I am unsure of the implementation.
116  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bought an Account but seller wants me to send him additional 0.015 - See details on: July 17, 2015, 05:17:31 PM
I know it is too late, but there are some excellent escrows here on bct.  I have personally used Quickseller and Dev, both were great.  Quickseller, as his name suggests, was faster, but I think it is because Dev has a lot of escrows to handle, like campaign accounts, but this is not a bad thing it means that people trust him with big money.
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Texas to circumvent fed with new gold depository, will accept Bitcoin on: July 17, 2015, 05:07:24 PM
This is interesting.  There have been questions about the gold reserves going all the way back to Nixon, when we left the gold standard.  To my knowledge there has never been an audit of the reserves since.  And I saw on a show that when other countries who have gold with us ask for it, they are given the finger.  There is also a shady thing with that manhatten vault, where there is a goldman sachs vault underground at the same place.  It is all very shady and looks like a conspiracy.  The problem is that when you try to talk to the average person about these things, or even about how much money was spent killing people in Iraq, they look at you like you are talking about space aliens.  This crap will continue as long as people refuse to come out side of their suburban bliss.

I loled at the secede plan.  Texas won't do that, it is all just bluster.  If they try I guess we will have our second civil war!
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finding Satoshi Nakamoto - Short Film on: July 17, 2015, 04:59:15 PM
I thought we already established that Satoshi was a space alien?  I must watch this video, but I hope it does not ignore this point.
119  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anybody getting the nanocard? on: July 17, 2015, 06:36:58 AM
I am not getting it, I don't really have a use for it because I am holding my few coins for now.  But this is the things we need for better adoption.  But I think the real barrier right now is not spending the coins, but getting them in the first place.  It is too much of a pain for the average person.  The "killer app" everyone is wondering about will be what allows people to easily buy btc with a reasonable rate and without all of the jumping through hoops that you have right now.

Does anyone know if there will be a higher requirement for the version 3 trader?  Because then I will have to accumulate now, while the coins are pretty cheap Smiley
