- i am not sure about the proof of payment (really dont know) (most likely a full anon cryptographic proof of
tx sent should be possible I would guess, gonna inform myself on this)
- Maxwell and CN devs said pruning can be added later to CN codebase
(no big problem, people accept bigger block chains for the given level of anonymity)
- Bitcoin hasnt even pruned once Smiley
1243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: June 09, 2014, 05:51:28 AM
- CryptoNote development started 2 years ago.

- How can CN code be behind Bitcoins? Bitcoins source was always open source. CNs source and development was kept private. CN got ring signatures working, a technology that many experts doubted could ever be brought into a coin, because it was to complex to implement. (Dark has no multi-sig-support, ...)

- CN project was especially started to improve on the mistakes made during development of Bitcoin.
(Centralized Development, no privacy, ...)

- CN plattform has 4 active coins with devs and growing blockchains and one extern research and expert team for guidance.
How can CN be behind Dark?? Make no sense.

- I really wish the best to Dark and Evan. But you 10000% DarkCoin fanboys, spreading wrong infos (some spread FUD) really gave DRK a bad images in the last days.

Does this explain why people dont like Java? (Besides other valid reasons.)

Why is I2P so important to you?
1246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 08, 2014, 11:22:56 PM
Oh, yeah I mixed up Anoncoin and ZeroCoin.

Is it even decided now, if Anoncoin will be using ZeroCoin or ZeroCash as its base tech/approach?
1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 08, 2014, 10:37:14 PM
And what is wrong? Smiley The military not involved in ZeroCash?

1249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 08, 2014, 10:31:21 PM
Biggest difference Monero is in usage, Anoncoin is vaporware. Unclear if it ever be released, project team has no crypto-currency background.
(just academic crypto/math-background, so they may get the crypto done, could be failing the rest of coin and community development, they have real jobs, they wont go full time coin dev, ...)

Anoncoin needs an trusted accumulator, that if compromised could be use to forge coins (which would be impossibleto proof) and decrypting the whole Anoncoin blockchain.
No one knows if Anoncoin scales. Development is payed by US and Israel military ....

DarkCoin delayed again ...

1254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MNT] MountCoin // Need help write here // NEW UPDATE TODAY on: June 08, 2014, 02:20:29 PM
- phantastisch: Depends on what libs you did or did not linked. Wink But it's no suprise it compiled, the coin shares the CryptoNote codebase. So it was already known/expected by everybody that the source can be compiled.

- OP: U need to develope a concept with an (broad) strategy. ASAP What are the goals you want toreach with MountCoin? What makes MountCoin unique, now or in future, ...
http://www.blog-spot.ch/marketing-strategie-in-7-saetzen-kurz-und-buendig/ & http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marketing-Konzept
- You are are wasting our and your time, if your only motivation is (ego-related) to be "coin dev".
- OP: You are in Aachen, get some good Computer Scientist from the university to join you as dev (of this coin). Aachen is famous for good CS in Germany. The sooner you build an dev team, the bigger your chance of success with your coin will be. CryptoNote is most complexe and difficult to understand codebase of all public avaible, so you need help. (Everybody would.)

- If you have a concept, present it to us, get feedback, revise it and then apply for official acceptance as "official approved CryptoNote" coin by CN devs. Speak to CN devs what they want to see in another CN implementation/coin. Now and in the next days its most likeley your best and last chance to become an offical CN coin. (In some weeks there will be > 30 CN forks and cryptonote.org team wont give any new to "official status", if they dont innovate very big.)
Becoming accepted CN-coin would obvious be very good for marketing, promotion, acceptance, attention, free voluenteers, sustainability, etc.

- phantastisch: I did send 5 MNT.

Yeah, but I can assure you, its not your host. Network code is still pretty alpha/basic.
My daemon keeps 500 active connectins online, sometimes more ....

Guess fo the moment, you would have to use extern standard Windows tools to limit network usage/bandwright.
1256  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: DARKCOIN - Wegbereiter der anonymen Cryptocurrencies on: June 08, 2014, 11:28:25 AM

1257  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Darkcoin Kursverlauf on: June 08, 2014, 10:43:34 AM

Now you get it. The words "fraud" and "scam" (+ "pump & dump") totally lost their meaning, because everybody is calling every coin they dont like - in every posting they make - with (fake) reasoning or not these names.

I know where and which older CC community started this, but I wont say it out loud. :-)

It should be forbidden anyway, to talk about other coins in an thread that is specific about CoinXY.
It's offtopic and bullshit anyway (no content, just kiddy talk & FUDing).
1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: June 08, 2014, 04:15:09 AM
Bitcoins CoinJoin implementation would be on client/wallet-level, without masternodes or extra fees.
Creating a setup where every client/node is taking part in CoinJoin tx.

-> no attack vendors, no extra setup, more secure (because more CJ participiants), better network distribution (whole network is secured, looks like 90% of the DRK MN will be AWS instances ...)

if experience and tested source code will be avaible from DarkCoin and DarkWallet project it isnt very unrealitsic, that Bitcoin will implemenent CoinJoin (Wladimir says he wants CJ, its an open pull request since november, Maxwell, Todd, Sipa, want CJ, Gavin is out), so its not unlikely, more like 50/50 ATM IMHO
i guess, they will in like 10 or 12 months include an CJ implementation in Bitcoin Core, but turn it off default

A fixed date is needed!

No one is gonna act otherwise, because of lazyness or uncertainty if his actions (eg. switching pool as miner, restarting pool as pool admin) will have an effect.
