Research on post-quantum cryptography started 10 years ago, post-quantum encryption is ready.
If Quantum computers are anywhere near to break todays asymmectric crypto, switch to post quantum cypto will be made.
Quantum computers arent no specific threat to cryptocurrencies anyway. They are an (abstract) threat to the IT security of any organisation using (at e.g. banks, financial institutes, govt, ...) computers.

Litecoin = Scam because:
100.000 broken promises, 1.000.000 outright lies about other coins, 100.000.000 lies and false info about litecoin features/plans/reachable goals
0 development, most vicious and closed-minded community of all coins,
worst distribution than bitcoin (there are 2 address with more then 3.000.000 litecoins + there are additonal more then 14 addresses with over 100.000 litecoins ...)

- Client and blockchain is still very light, IMHO.
- AFAIK, SPV clients (like MultiBit) or Server-Trusting Clients (like Electrum) are both possible, but not yet implemented. There is a alot of (brain &) dev work to do, before SPV clients will be possible/done.
(Thin Server-Trusting Clients are always possible with any coin, that has a public blockhain, secured by head hashes.)

Bug im Code? Für mich sieht so aus, als ob dem Markt dieser Instamine-Vorwurf absolut nicht interessiert. An Image-Gründen wirk Dark bei btc-e.com ganz sicher nicht scheitern. Ist eh Spinnerei mit dem (angeblich) schlechten Image, über die Alt-Szene hat Dark ein sehr positives Image. Da ist der Wunsch des DarkCoin-Gegners der Vater des Gedankens. |

Der Zeitpunkt ab wann Pooled-Mining eindeutig profitabler als Solo-Mining lässt sich berechnen. Ist eben abhängig vom Coin-Design, der aktuellen Diff und Deiner Hardware-Power. Frag einfach mal direkt in den Threads der Coins nach, die Dich interessieren. Da wirst Du schnell eine konkrete Antwort erhalten, weil natürlich die Supporter einer Coin, dass direkt wissen oder schnell durch kalkulieren können.
