Neben den aktuellen NXT-spezifischen Problemen:

1.) den oben durch e-coinomist genannten und
2.) dem offensichtlichen Verlust an Hotness und Momentum

sollte man sich allgemein auch mal fragen:

a.) Warum lehnen so ziemlich alle renommierten Crypto Currency- & Crypto Finance-Experten PoS als PoW-Algorithmus ab?

b.) Warum lehnen so ziemlich alle renommierten Crypto Currency- & Crypto Finance-Experten  Fat Client Coins mit diesem Plattform-Charakter (wie NXT, NEM, Node, ...), [bei dem allmöglichen Services und Ökosystem mit den Client integriert werden,] ab und bevorzugen thine Coins mit einem minimalen Software-Core (wie Bitcoin oder CryptoNote)?


a.) und b.) sind eben - auch abseits von NXT - sowieso interessante Fragen, die helfen andere Coins und Projekte zu bewerten.


Ich will gewiss niemanden beeinflussen und jeder sollte sich selber objektiv seine Meinung bilden. Aber meinen Beobachtungen nach ist die Experten-Meinung hier zu a.) und b.) recht eindeutig, dies sollte man beachten bzw. zumindest heftigst überdenken.

Anders ausgedrückt: Ich vertraue in meinem ganzen Leben auf Experten. Ich vertraue meinem Zahnarzt, dass er mir bestmöglich meine Zähne operiert & pflegt. Ich vertraue meiner Friseurin, dass sie mich bestmöglich bei meiner Friseur berät, usw.

Wenn ich nun wahrnehme, dass die weit eindeutige Mehrheit der anerkannten Crypto Currency-Experten PoS-Coins und Coins mit Plattform-Charakter ablehnen, vertraue ich deren Urteil ebenfalls. Und bin dementsprechend diesen Projekten gegenüber sehr, sehr, sehr vorsichtig.
Ich kenne und verstehe die mathe-kryptographischen und software-design- & -sicherheitstechnischen Gründe für deren Bewertungen dahinter (eventuell) nicht, aber ich achte deren Urteil.




Zu NXT-speziell nochmal, abseits von a.) und b.) sind meiner Meinung nach auch 1.) und 2.) schon massive Probleme (aber nicht unlösbare).
Wobei man sich bei 2.) überlegen sollte, ob es in der Vergangenheit überhaupt schon mal eine Coin gab die Hotness und echtes Momentum zurück gewinne konnte. (Ich kenn jetzt spontan keine.)

- Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass die Leute hinter dem Evolution Exit-Scam sich großartig Coins beschlagnahmen lassen. Die wissen was sie tun. Was immer an diesem BTC-E Gerücht dran ist, mit großer Sicherheit wurde dort nur ein sehr, sehr kleiner Teil der Evo-Coins gefreezed. Falls es überhaupt stimmt. Kann auch sein, dass die Coins bereits von den Scammer an eine Dritte Person verkauft(/getauscht?) waren und diese nun den Verlust durch die Einfrierung trägt.
Und andererseits steht BTC-E der Dark Market-Szene sehr nahe und ist gut vernetzt. Sicherlich hätte man daher, solch ein Ereignis durch Absprachen im Hintergrund geklärt/vermieden.

Please forward this link, to everyone involved developing the Monero fork of OpenBazaar or other Monero projects, - which are (fully or partly) aiming for acceptance and long-lasting adoption in the whole DarkMarket[Scene|Ecosystem] (= DM operators, buyers & vendors).

This list is a great end-user input (to the dev process) and should/can help alot to create something, that really gets adopted in the Dark Market. Because by providing these requested features, your software is creating real world benefits for all involved parties. It would give the DM community a strong motivation to atleast try it and ensure a real chance for "real world DarkMarket adoption".

Outside of the Monero project, I see alot of posters with very naive & unrealistic sentiments, about how easily their favorite coin is soon gonna rule the whole DarkNet.
(e.g. something like "DM markets & users will naturally very soon switch to xxxCoin, because we are the best and all the others suck").

Nothing is won. There is no winner. Just different teams that prepare.

There is alot of work and stress ahead and only a small chance of succeeding. But the project itself is really worth, to really(!) give our best, to try everything possible.

Monero is only well-positioned today, but 1.) only against the public known competition.
CryptoNote tech & whitepaper came out of nowhere. Maybe next months someone with a strange pseudonym will release an even better whitepaper.

2.) the crypto landspace, tech and market changes very fast, who is being ahead can and does change very fast
(if u consider winning as surely given, you wont fight enough for the victory)


3.) people in general and especially people acting in a free markets, dont act logically or fact-based, superior tech doesnt gurantee success, having the best and most secure product  is worthless if nobody is going to use it, etc.

Wayne interesssiert's?
Mir geht es mit diesem Posting wirklich nicht darum Monero zu bewerben oder künstlich zu hypen. Sondern einfach darum alle Poster darüber zu informieren, dass sich jeder zeitnah überlegen sollte, wie er zu Monero steht.
Mal ernsthaft, es gab bis heute keine richtig, dauerhaft erfolgreichen Coin-Projekte (neben Bitcoin), die wirklich -  wie erträumt - (preislich) durch die Decke schiessen. Echter technischer Fortschritt & neue innovative Ansätze & Ideen sind selten und resultiert häufig erst nach jahrelangen Anstregungen. So hat es hnach dem Release von Bitcoin in 2009, lange 5 Jahre gedauert, bis wieder ein Crypto Currency-Konzept & -Whitepaper (mit ähnlichen Potentialen wie Bitcoin) um die Ecke kam. Welches auch von anerkannten Experten gewürdigt wird und als innovativ & sehr vielversprechend eingeschätzt wird.

Man erlebt also als Crypto Currency-Szenemitglied nicht sehr viele echte technische Durchbrüche. Daher ist es sinnvoll auf so ein (mögliches) Ereignis adäquat zu reagieren.
Ich z.B. bin ein alter Mann. Und habe zu viele Fehler in meinen Leben gemacht, viele gute Chancen selbstverschuldet leichtfertig vertan und mein berufliches Potential nicht mal ansatzweise ausgenutzt. Q1/2014 war ich der Meinung, dass man mit stratg. Altcoin-Investments gar kein Geld verdienen kann, weil die Qualität & Perspektive der Projekte viel zu schlecht ist.
Und alle großen Gewinner im Altcoin-Game, diese hauptsächlich durch Glück erreicht haben.
(NXT Stack gekauft oder eben nicht oder Stories ala: "20000 LTC aus Langweile gekauft zu 0,02$ und dann zum ATH bei $42 komplett verkauft, etc.")

Da kommen dann natürlich auch dann gewisse Selbstzweifel auf und die Frage, ob man überhaupt im Leben noch mal so eine eine ähnliche Chance erhält. Also auf eine Arbeit die einem große Freude bereitet, den eigenen Idealen sehr entspricht und soviele Potentiale auf finanzielle Unabhängigkeit hat.

Deshalb erfreut mich so eine weitere Bestätigung - eines anerkannten Experten wie Peter Todds - sehr. Weil ich mittlerweile sicher sein kann, dass ich nach all den Fails über die vergangenen Jahre, dieses mal endlich in dem richtigen Zug sitzte. Und auf wundersameweise nach dem ich schon aufgegeben hatte, dann doch noch auf das richtige Pferd (Projekt) gesetzt habe.

(Exkurs:) Trotz all der großen Potentiale von CryptoNote, bestanden aufgrund der nicht bitcoin-basierten Codebases, den verwendeten neuen Kryptographie-Methoden, der merkwürdigen Art der Veröffentlichung, der allg. Altcoin-Müdigkeit, potentielle Backdoors im Code, dem Nichtvorhandensein von GUI oder Software-Ecosystem und Vielzahl von Konkurrenz etc., immer die große Gefahr, dass Projekt an sich oder dem Markt scheitert.(/Exkurs.)

Die Sachlage ist eindeutig. Denkt nach und entscheidet selbst, ob ihr dieses mal im Zug sitzen wollt oder jammert und winkend am Bahnhof stehen werdet. Noch steht der Zug am Bahnhof und die Tickets sind für jedermann erschwinglich.

Motivation
Ich habe mir überlegt, ich gebe diesen oben stehenden Hinweis noch einmal, weil

1.) mehr informierte Menschen für eine bessere und vor allem fairere Verteilung der "Early Adopter"-Coins sorgen

2.) ich hab viel gelernt hier in der deutschen Community und kann so vielleicht ein kleines bisschen zurückgeben kann, falls dieses Posting jemanden hilft
(ich hätte es ja cool gefunden, wenn mich jemand auf den Bitcoin-Start damals 2009 aufmerksam gemacht hätte, heh oder jemand damals einen hinweis gegeben hätte, dass der NXT IPO dermassen hohe Chance bietet, wie es damals der Fall war)

3.) ich glaub an Karma, daher tue ich (hoffentlich) hiermit anderen gutes, weil mir gutes wiederfahren ist

4.) als kleines Zeichen gegen die typische Gier und Unfairness in der Szene, es ist meinen Idealen nach das richtige Verhalten nicht gierig und unfair zu sein (Community Projekte leiden unter so etwas idR. enorm), ich möchte keine Crypto Currency nutzen, bei der sich die Early Adopter bewusst, stark übervorteilen
(wie es leider noch in der Szene absolut üblich und Normalfall ist)

I have huge respect for all german members of your team. I personally know Holger "flare" Schinzel over 10 years now. And often chat with vertoe and Aswan on FreeNode. I think paying full nodes is a great idea and Evan can code. I am really not biased against your project.

Obviously I know, no technical educated member post in your main thread today and why your community is now this way. But it is not a good situation for your project and the whole altcoin space.

Why I dont post at DarkCoinTalk.org? Because I dont have enough time, to read so many different boards. I am interested in BitShares, Ethereum, Ripple, MaidSafeCoin, NEM and many more coins. That's why I demand/want discussion here and not in coin-specific forums.
I don't even have an account at forum.monero.cc.

Why I posted this observation:

1.) I was disappointed by the development. 3/4 of the last year friendly, objective discussions with (most) DarkCoiners was possible, even in your (spamy) main thread.

2.) I was shocked by the growing number of posters with this superiority-talk (DarkCoin overtaking BTC market cap next year, the talk about technology leadership against Bitcoin, increased arrogance & aggressiveness towards other projects (DarkWallet, BTC Sidechains) or (privacy) coins.
And the many many postings about price, coming bubble, next ATH, moon, etc. Sometimes your threads reads like an daytrading forum. All reminded me of alot of LTC or other failed projects.

It's ironic, when DarkCoin was new, DarkCoiners had alot to suffer from harassment done by LiteCoiners and some (Anti Altcoin) Bitcoiners. They should know how this feels and how toxic the LTC community got with this kind of attitude. Leading to many neutral people leaving the LTC community. And later to total lazyness and a loss of reality. The early DarkCoiners exactly noticed these problems resulting out of this, inside the LTC community back in early 2014. Now it looks like, history may repeat itself.
I hope for you it doesn't.

3.) And as I strongly believe in and experienced it alot in my whole business life, to have a friendly, open-minded, helpfull & enjoyable community is a HUGE Asset and very often a critical success factor, deciding who's company/project/network is going to win in the market.
So I felt inside my heart, I have to say what is on my mind.
We have to be careful to maintain our positive community spirit and climate, because as shown by DarkCoin now, if skilled people and know-how holders decide not to post. The project suffers alot and the problem is increasing even more.

Anonyme Kreditkarten sind unmöglich. Diese sind lt. VISA und MasterCard AGBs verboten, als wie zusätzlich auch von der EU und dem deutschen Gesetzgeber.

Diese Debit-Karten die an der Tankstelle verkauft werden und ua. via Cash Voucher aufgeladen werden, sind auch nur mit persönlicher Registratur vorher ladbar. (Registrant muss zd. Schufa-Mitglied sein.)
Bis 100 E Gesamtaufladung / Jahr reicht Online-Registrierung + Verify-SMS (und natürlich Schufa) aus. Für alle Geschäfte/Vorgänge die über 100 E liegen, muss die Karte dann erst via Post Ident (analog reguläres Girokonto oder Kreditkarte bei Geschäftsbank) freigeschalten werden.

Es gibt keine anonymen Kreditkarten mit DE IBAN. Kann es auch gar nicht geben, weil sich jeder Bank- und Finanzkunde immer verifizieren muss in DE. (Man darf ja auch z.B nicht mal mehr anonym überweisen via Papierträger am Schalter & Bargeld.) Deutschen Banken tricksen auch nicht mehr rum, weil die sonst sehr hohe Strafen zahlen, wenn die BAFIN so etwas bemerkt (zB. aufgrund einer Warnung des BKAs).

Die Optionen die man nun noch hätte sind halt alle eher rechtlich grau/fragwürdig. Ausserdem auch sehr vom Einsatzgebiet der Karte abhängig.

Kommt halt auf euer Budget, Paranoia, Ernsthaftigkeit, Verwendungszweck, Transaktionsvolumen. etc. an.

 

Let's ignore DarkCoin. They are not interested in information exchange, cryptocurrency scene related discussions or debates. Most of the regular, loud, rude posters have no technically understanding and choosen to strictly deny any word that doesnt fit their collective religious opinion about DarkCoin.

A big part of them is driven by greed (e.g. MN owners, they dream about becoming bitcoin-rich with darkcoin).

These DarkCoin people are not really interested in Crypto Currency or privacy. They just want to get rich, by following their messias Evan. So they are ok with everything he did and is going to do. No matter how questionable it was/is. Like in a sect with a guru.

They don't know or care about any ideals and principals, that cryptocurrency origins of and all early scene members and founders stood for.
They have no interest in technology or building an sustainable eco-system. They just want to get rich and leave.

They are no true cryptocurrency supporters or even regular scene members. Just randoms kids, the Bitcoin boom attracted them. (E.g. Like the poker boom once attracted millions of the new players to online poker.) They dont wan't to and intellectualy can't contribute to the scene or even their own coin.

They live their dreams of a golden future, given to them by the holy Evan. They even would be ok with Evan working for the NSA, because they dont share our believes.

It's a waste of time talking with them, nothing can result from it.
They are out of touch with reality, like hardcore taliban or tea party members in the USA.
1.) they are explicitly don't listen and are proud of it 2.) their project isnt an community project with community participation in decision making, they see no value in community discussion about technology, development roadmap or strategy, because they have no influence in them
(they know very well that their opinion won't matter and Evan alone is deciding everything in the project)

There are enough coin-neutral altcoin people, general cryptocurrency experts and some of us may even know some Darkcoin people in private, that are ok. We can discuss with them about DarkCoin.

Is there any strategy/vision for BBRs future? Like target market, real world use-cases, potential sustainable USPs/features, ...

If not, now would be the time to find realistic goals.

Looks to me, like (there is a strong chance) the Darkcoin community is going repeat the same errors the Litecoin community did.

More and more regular, vocal posters in their community, show this well known "LTC attitude (& behavior)".
(arrogance, sense of superiority, clearly not technically-versed people are opinion-forming & dominating discusssions/the community, losing touch with reality, very self-centric, (trying) to disallow any neutral & critical opinions, questions & discusssions, anyone not 100% hyping DRK will be stigmatized and ridiculed as troll, fudder, shill, etc.)


This is a new development. Like in the last 3 months. Could get pretty dangerous for them (see Litecoins history).

Why does it matter? Because this observation should be an indication of importance & motivation for us, to further develop and actively maintain our healthy community.

Moneros community must always stay:

open, friendly, objective & open-minded, fact-based, respecting everyone, esp. non community-members, democratic, fair & not greedy, transparent, (strictly) skill-based task & job assigments, intelligence driven (always searching for & acknowledging the best solution, even if this best solution is not XMR compatible), ...

The Monero Project is so strong and well positioned. We can talk openly & objectivly about our (coins) weaknesses.
We don't have to lie, create our "own golden reality" or prohibit open discussions.

With objective discussing & reflecting about XMRs weaknesses. We will find better solutions & improve, we stay focussed (and won't create an hyping circle-jerk scene) and we will gain alot of respect, from all in crypto currencies interested parties (others projects, experts, newbies, press, professionals, ...).

Because, no one likes the LTC attitude.
