This is FALSE / I just retested it.

can't download the wallet  says not found 404 error

works if you go file -> download the entire thing and not individually, which I was doing b/c I only need the wallet file

thanks a lot for calling me out though instead of asking where I'm seeing that error and why.

I'm sorry , I get a little wild sometimes.
Post your wallet or pm it to me & I'll send you some coins !

If you don't like the coin don't mine it.

A dead coin is one with no working blockchain and nodes.

Would a Sr. Member not know this ?

coin is dead, move on

Updated thread with the news that COINS-E has added Cinnamon Coin to the trading floor paired with BTC.

I appreciate that COINS-E has made the addition and many other coins were added also !

The trading interface is smooth and fast.

Deposits and withdrawals are working great.

COINS-E is under new management and really looking sharp with trading markets to Bitcoin , Litecoin, and Primecoin with more coins than I can name here.

Fees are very reasonable too: Lower than some other exchanges.

They also offer a referral program so check it out.

1345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: https://cryptocointalk.com/ not working properly? on: December 01, 2013, 03:05:31 AM
The site works fine, I just posted there.
Jimmy is the guy who runs the sight and I usually sign in with twitter.

Sorry you had problems but it's not like joining here where you get banished to the newbie board at first.

I don't use facebook but you can log in with facebook also.

Cryptocoin Talk aka www.cryptocointalk.com
is in fine working order give it another shot.

No adds , no clutter, focus is on all coins not just BTC.

Plenty of legit giveaways too unlike several on here
(I will be nice & not name names of people or coins)
where you 'sometimes' do not get the coin or coins.

Pm me hereif you still have trouble and I will get a message to the site op about your issue.

Hopefully this is a legit issue not just an attempt to discredit another great forum that does a lot for the world of alternative cryptocurrency.
1346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / COINS-E under new management added Cinnamon Coin (CIN) & Unobtanium(UNO) + on: December 01, 2013, 02:41:39 AM
In case you have not heard Coins-E is now under new management and the interface looks great.

My sincere thanks to them for adding Cinnamon Coin to the trading floor !

The cool thing about Coins-E is that they also have some coins that ARE NOT traded at other major exchanges!!

Coins-E is taking the lead in adding new coins including the hot new rare SHA 256 Coin Unobtanium(UNO) and others !!

I asked a few friends to try out the new interface and the feedback I got from both was everything worked fast and the withdrawals were very fast after the confirmation e mail. The coins my friends test withdrew were PPC (peer coin) and XPM (Prime Coin) both purchased with bitcoin.

Two factor authentication is available for that added layer of security.

There is an affiliate program available for those who want to get reduced trading fees by sending friends along !

We all have our favorite exchanges and with the growth of not just bitcoin but many alt coins we need many places to trade.

The benefit of having multiple exchanges is to keep prices in tune with the market.

I once heard someone say Mt. Gox will never add litecoin since it may force them to be more in line with the other world exchanges prices on bitcoin and this may be true.

The same applies to alt coins.  I am a big supporter of cryptocurrency as the technology of tomorrow and based on the trends I see many others agree !

By the numbers there are 31 coins at Coins-E you can buy or sell for Bitcoin
and 9 Litecoin trading pairs.

1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NVC: The biggest ongoing scam in cryptocoin history on: November 26, 2013, 03:19:16 AM
I agree BFL is the biggest scam. They skinned me bad.

NovaCoin I think is a brilliant design but when over 85% of the coin supply is mined in the first 10 days or so of a coins life it is kind of a stand out.

With novacoin we all have the option to just not mine or trade it.

Nope BFL is
1349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MCXNow Realsolid Has Screwed Everyone. MCXNOW SHUTTING DOWN!! on: November 26, 2013, 03:08:21 AM
Ive seen your posts and others about him.
I am even more curious about who is pumping it up at BTCE.com
Feathercoin got a nice little lift the other night & Nova Coin today??
Clearly a lot of money is behind it ?
1350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MCXNow Realsolid Has Screwed Everyone. MCXNOW SHUTTING DOWN!! on: November 26, 2013, 02:57:37 AM
So it went in one day from 'Join in the Wealth Creation' to 'Later'
A lot of people warned users of this forum from purchase of those shares.
Hopefully not too many real people got burned.

Seem to be a growing number of scams in the coin world as they gain popularity.

1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So what just happened with BTC-E and FTC? Ultra scam? on: November 14, 2013, 05:49:18 AM
I think it pretty obvious what went down and I strongly doubt anyone connected with development of the coin is responsible but one never knows.
This was nothing more than a way for someone to spread disinformation with the only reason behind it to make a few bucks.

Just remember there are many exchanges to do business with.
Even if one says 'hey we plan on dropping this coin' it should have little effect on the long term outcome.
All that exchange does (unless it has an orderbook with cobwebs) is miss out on making the money in fees that the other exchanges will gladly ring up.

Now if a smaller coin not traded on more than one place a little different picture.

Don't be so easily misled by anything anyone says.

The more valuable btc gets the more creative people are going to become to empty some of your wallet or all of it into their own.

1354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BLC] Blakecoin fast blake-256 Alt Coin for CPU/GPU/FPGA on: November 09, 2013, 12:55:55 AM
A few thoughts on those fustrated because there is no pool to join.

From a mathematical standpoint you will make exactly the same amount of coins solo mining as you will in a mining pool. Sometimes more. If you donate to a pool or it has a fee you earn less than on your own.
Some coins (not Blake Coin to my knowledge) pay transaction fees to the person who finds a block. Not all pools pass these on to miners.

If you were mining something with a very high difficulty like how litecoin is now I can understand you being unwilling to go at it alone since the chance of a block is so low.

Right now unless you are using a cpu Blake Coin is well within the reach to hit some blocks & get some coins.
Difficulty goes up and down but not so bad that you cannot mine a block.

I am running one gpu and if I can hit blocks so can you !

It is also a little more exciting to solve a block than watch shares tick by.

You get 25 at once plus the subsidy !

Let's relax a little here.

In time someone will solve this problem and you shall have your pool.

Difficulty will probably go up a lot higher.

Not mining because there is no pool is something I can't agree with or understand.

This is valid for any coin unless your hash rate would only produce a block once a week or one a month depending on your patience.

1355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [OFFICIAL] mcxNOW Final Investment Round. 6700BTC already invested on: November 06, 2013, 02:21:53 AM
I am just curious, what would happen if the exchange closed or had problems with regulators. This seems like a lot of money invested & while I understand the idea why people raise funds & invest I am not naturally trusting of investments that make big promises. Some of the safest investments ever made promised a very low reward or no reward. No disrespect to anyone / guess I don't trust 'pushy' sales?

Google 'abe'

check for it on github
https://github.com/bitcoin-abe/bitcoin-abe

if anyone has some useful links on how to run a pool or blockchain explorer, i'd be happy to try. or also if anyone knows how to do this but just needs hosting, let me know, I have a server that I could dedicate to it.
