2281  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next bull run predictions on: April 15, 2018, 10:26:53 PM
December should be when bitcoin ceases its bear market sentiments, so I do expect a pump from that point onwards.

It's almost impossible to predict accurately how high a rally would go, because it can overachieve or underachieve quite a bit due to market sentiment at the time. I think that the price will get close to the all time high at around December 2019, after a slow bull market throughout the year of 2019, rising from the bottom of this year's bear market.

Those who say that bitcoin is going to hit 6 figures next year, I don't think that's happening. It just requires way too much momentum that we don't have yet, or even next year.
2282  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tim Draper - Bitcoin Price Will Hit 250 000$ In 2022! on: April 13, 2018, 11:47:48 PM
Some of you have heard, others may not for Tim Draper , he is very famous venture capital investor and a great supporter of BTC&blockchain technology. In 2014 he bought around 30 000 BTC on auction, and that year he give statement that 1 BTC will be worth 10 000$ in next three years, which of course came true.

Yesterday he announced new prediction on his blockchain party at Draper University, anticipating 250 000$ per BTC at the year 2022.I remember 2014 and how many people joked on his account, but in the end he laughed at them.I will not say that this time he is right again, but I think he is one of the people whose thoughts we should take very seriously.

More info&video from event : Tim Draper 2018-2022 Price Prediction

He did predict that bitcoin would reach $10000 in 2017, and he was definitely right on that matter.

However, he is still over-bullish to me. I think the only way for $250k per bitcoin by 2022 to become a reality is if bitcoin can reach mainstream adoption within the next 4 years. I personally think it'll take much longer than that.

Plus, it's way easier to go from $400 to $20000 in 4 years, compared to $7000 to $250,000 in 4 years. They're just on completely different magnitudes.

But that doesn't mean that you should stop being bullish on bitcoin in the long term, don't take others word for it. Make your own decisions, and don't expect such miracles to happen just because some Tim Draper said it.
2283  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Trade Bull Coin - Red Flag - High Level Of Suspicion. Photo Proof Included on: April 13, 2018, 10:51:07 PM
Good stuff, OP. Their ICO website is tradebullcoin.io, and apparently you can't find it through google search.

Their team is all fake, and so are all their advisors, it seems. In fact, 3 of the 4 listed advisors only have their first names mentioned. Their site is an unfinished project, as their advisors are all referred to as their "founder", which also indicates that they most likely have used a template in order to build their site instead of building it from scratch themselves.

One of the biggest signs of an ICO being scam is that they are using fake team members. It means that they have no credibility if they used their own profiles. This is an ICO to be avoided, they could even just take your money and not even give you the promised tokens.
2284  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Changelly - FAKE KYC/AML on: April 13, 2018, 10:45:03 PM
They can literally deem anything as suspicious, there's no guidelines as what is considered to be "suspicious". They need to actually tell you before you exchange your funds whether KYC/AML procedures will run on you. A lot of people would not even use Changelly if you need draconian levels of verification. It could be because of US regulations, and as The Pharmacist said, they probably don't want to lose such a huge market share. But doesn't mean that they are also taking advantage of this by selectively flagging big transactions to be able to hold customer funds for longer than normal.

Changelly already has a lot of negative reviews, and IMO isn't to be trusted based on their previous track record.

Changelly has had many scam accusations. How about the time they charged 80% in fees because they used many small inputs to pay out in Bitcoin?
The only reason I ever had to use them, was for coins not supported by Shapeshift. I won't do that again.

Changelly has red trust already. Their "Untrusted feedback" has much more red too.

Yeah, I guess the only reason why you would use Changelly is if shapeshift wasn't available in your country, or a coin isn't supported by shapeshift. But if you need to get verified for a changelly transaction, just use any major exchanges. You'll get way better rates, as well.
2285  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-asia.com legit? PLEASEEE on: April 13, 2018, 10:36:52 PM
Your analysis could not have been better for anyone who need to make a decision. For the mere fact that they could misrepresent their existence is enough red flag. If a service has been in place since 2013 in the crypto space there is enough time for them to have a presence on the largest bitcoin forum but unfortunately I am yet to see then having such presence till this time. @op and anyone who wants to use an escrow there are enough people who offer such services and you get it done.

The problem isn't actually that they don't have a presence on the forum, but rather that the site isn't even supposed to be online right now since the founder of this escrow service actually said 3 years ago that the site has been offline for a few months.

Unless someone can verify that ninjaboon is actually the owner of the site, it can be assumed that the site is a scam. Even if it is verified that Ninjaboon is still the owner of the site, he hasn't been that active on the forum.

So either way, you have plenty of more trustworthy escrows on forum. Just use them, instead.
2286  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: watch out for this fake Cryptopia Exchange website on: April 13, 2018, 10:27:29 PM
Firefox actually lists them as deceptive sites and don't let you visit them.

There is a ton of phishing sites out there, especially on google ads. It's not only a problem with exchanges, it's also a problem with mixers and basically all of the other crypto related services out there. As a rule of thumb, never click on any google ads when you search up a crypto related service. These two sites are definitely phishing sites out there to take your account credentials.

Bookmarking a frequently used site can indeed help with avoiding having to search up the site's URL on google.

Thanks for the heads up, OP.
2287  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any Wallets offering Virtual Card without Verification? on: April 13, 2018, 10:20:00 PM
I don't think you'll be able to find any trustworthy ones left that'll let you have a virtual bitcoin debit card without verification. Wirex used to do it, but now since the events that happened within the bitcoin debit card business they no longer do so. I'm not sure about Advcash, but I'm pretty sure they need verification for cards (you should check them out just to be sure).

What about somewhere i can buy a visa gift card using Bitcoin?

Well gyft and egifter don't actually sell visa/mastercard gift cards.

What are you looking to buy with the gift card anyways? You could buy gift cards from paxful by having an offer listed, but the chances of the card being fraudulent is high. You can easily exchange bitcoin to pretty much all other payment methods that your merchant will probably accept. You could even pay someone to buy the item for you.
2288  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: withdrawl from coinpot wont go to my wallet account on: April 13, 2018, 10:12:43 PM
They don't have an active official thread, so I don't think commenting on the unofficial thread will help much. But looking at the unofficial thread, there seems to be a ton of problems with Coinpot right now and support isn't helping much.

As slow death said, you should contact support@coinpot.co.

There is nobody else other than the actual coinpot people that can send you the funds. Once they send it, you will receive it in your wallet.

If it takes weeks to process a withdrawal on a micropayments platform I think that's a good indication of their level of trustworthiness.
2289  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Happen Bitcoin OMG 8100$ ?? on: April 13, 2018, 09:37:40 AM
Big pump what happen ? What do you think dream ? or real.

Seems like that the markets have changed sentiments.

I think the pump could be attributed largely to the fact that bitcoin price was so stable at the $6600-6800 level which prompted a lot of people into buying, since they see that there is effective support at that level. When there is periods of stability and relatively small movements in price, it usually tends to mean that a pump is not far off.

And this pump has been just magnified by the fact that there were so many shorts in the market that were wrecked, pushing the price further up. But buying right now is buying into fomo which is something I think you shouldn't do. Wait for the dip after this pump to accumulate if you want to take on BTC as a long term investment.
2290  Economy / Speculation / Re: Quote me on that - It has started. on: April 13, 2018, 09:19:17 AM
The double bottom around ~6500$ it is the hint for bulls to woke up and bears to go into hibernation .

Quote me on that - It has started - The long rise to the Moon .

That's exactly what has happened. The trend upwards seems pretty strong, considering that now the price is settling in comfortably at over $8100 per bitcoin, which is more than the highs achieved in the initial stages of the pump.

I would say that there is still room for the price to keep going up, and this bullish trend to last at least a few more days or even a few weeks.

There will be a ceiling on this pump, in my opinion, of around $10k however. If bitcoin doesn't reach five figures which I think the resistance is too strong to head above that level, we may see some major corrections again which will lead to panic dumping. I'm carefully optimistic because this seems like typical fomo buying instead of the end of a bear market.
2291  Economy / Speculation / Re: Massive shorts liquidations, $millions in losses as Bitcoin moons on: April 13, 2018, 09:06:33 AM
Shorting is risky, but can be profitable. I wouldn't recommend any inexperienced traders doing it, however. Otherwise, you will end up getting into a short squeeze finding your position gone just like this time with many people. Also, I find shorting in a bear market that has already been going on for 4 months pretty illogical, since a pump was due sooner or later.

But price of bitcoin has really jumped up high today. Didn't expect that at all.

Is it really the time when bitcoin starts "mooning" again, though? I think we'll probably experience more dips, before a solid recovery takes place. There is a chance that we've already seen the bottom of this bear market, albeit a very small one imo. So this huge 20% pump today isn't sustainable, imo.
2292  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Indian Bitcoin Exchange COINSECURE Compromised !!! on: April 13, 2018, 08:59:52 AM
As they expalined in email, Bitcoin funds have been exposed and seem to have been siphoned out to an address that is outside our control.
An FIR has been lodged with the Cyber Cell, Delhi (copy of the complaint enclosed), and we have expert investigators already on the case.
current issue points towards losses caused during an exercise to extract BTG to distribute to our customers

Seems pretty ironic because their name was coinsecure Roll Eyes

400 BTC is still a lot of money to be lost, even by a big exchange.

I really wonder how they are going to be able to recover those funds, and reimburse any victims of this hack. As they've said, the funds are outside of their control, and I doubt they will be able to successfully track the hacker down and get BTC back from them.

From this we can learn 2 things:

1. Never store funds with an exchange because you are at the mercy of them doing their job at keeping your coins secure, and actually processing your withdrawals.

2. Always go through strict security measures before you try to extract any forks of bitcoin, it can result in hacks and breaches in security for sure.
2293  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-asia.com legit? PLEASEEE on: April 13, 2018, 08:42:17 AM
Hello everyone , i need to know something about this escrow service... someone have experience with that escrow? Thanks a lot.. Smiley

BTC-asia.com

They claim that they've been operating since 2013 when really their domain has only been created in March of 2014.

Anyways, their site looks completely bogus and I wouldn't trust a single cent with them. In fact, any escrows that are outside of the forum should be used with caution, because the reason they have to own a site is to have a gateway to scam.

If you took notice, their multisig escrow page is also down conveniently. I don't think it's a coincidence, since they would not be able to scam money easily with multisig escrow.

0.05% fee for escrow would be unsustainable for them in the long run as well. The only way for them to make money, is to scam you. Ninjaboon has specifically said do not use the site since 2015, and has not actively maintained it since then.
2294  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yobit.Net Scamming My Deposit on: April 13, 2018, 08:35:34 AM
I've added the deposit details on my initial post as proof of my deposit from Payeer to Yobit account. Any people from Payeer or Yobit can verify it. The unresponsive of Yobit support is big red flag!

You should probably add a screenshot so that others can see it on the forum. Both Payeer and Yobit is most likely not going to monitor the forum for complaints actively, so posting proof that can only be seen by them doesn't really make sense.

Yes, yobit is completely unresponsive in their customer support now.

Most people will see delays of up to months or even years before their customer support tickets are responded to. You just seem to be another victim of that. Consider this money gone for now, but keep following up with yobit until they respond. Also, learn the lesson and don't use yobit again, please.
2295  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitcointalkaccounts.com - scam on: April 13, 2018, 12:41:04 AM
Ok, so for the heck of it - initiated a small transactions with this lowlife. No answer to emails; tried chat on the website - once transaction is mentioned they shut down the chat window. I shall skip the curse words, and therefor I got only one thing to say: low life p.o.s. like that makes crypto-community look bad. Avoid the scam, when possible - report to admins, to make sure scammers have nothing to feed on.
And instead of "buying" an established account - why not just grow your own reputation (and the respect of the community).
Peace to all.

<for whose interested - would be glad to provide the proof for above said>

I'm interested in seeing proof of what you said, please take some screenshots of your correspondence with the site admin?

If you try to buy an account, there will always be a risk of you getting scammed. Also, there will be the risk of them recovering the account through means of signing a message. That's why account sales should be avoided altogether, even if you use escrow. And even if you get your account, DT members may give yo negative trust for having a bought account. This site is literally asking you to send money to a stranger in return for a potentially recoverable account - I don't know why you would do that.

The site is obviously built on a budget and its sole purpose is to conduct scams. Avoid buying accounts at all costs.
2296  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is stocksexchange.io a scam? (different than stocks.exchange) on: April 13, 2018, 12:32:58 AM
It's pretty much one of the most obvious scams out there. Most of the website isn't even original, but was copied from other websites and pieced together. I don't think it's supposed to be a phishing site of stocks.exchange because its layout is nowhere close to the real stocks.exchange one.

Even if you assume that it's a legitimate exchange, the exchange doesn't have any volume or trading pairs.

Great catch, if there is something that was being copied without any consent and displaying fake transfers, why would we trust them?

Yep, if they are okay with faking bitcoin transfers then that just proves how untrustworthy they are. Any BTC sent to them should be considered to be a donation.
2297  Economy / Speculation / Re: BULL RUN STARTING ON BITCOIN? End of Bear Market? on: April 13, 2018, 12:23:55 AM
What the hell just happened just now when BTC prices went up $1000?
$30b just came into the market suddenly.

Can anyone give me a reasonable explanation for these CANDLES!!!!

It didn't expect this to happen at all.

Depending on whether the price can reach $8k again, which I think it will, it'll probably end up being a sizable run up. Potentially even to $9k+, even.  It was indeed about time that bullish sentiments started to grow within the market, as well.

But I don't believe this is the end of the bear market. Once this rally is over, I think there will still be dumps to come. Unless $6.5k is the real bottom, which I think it is not, we will go down even more before an actual recovery takes place.
2298  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin be banned on Philippines? on: April 12, 2018, 09:32:56 AM
Over 900 Million  pesos worth of bitcoins been scammed.

Filipino couple amasses at least P900M in alleged Bitcoin scam.
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Police have nabbed a couple promising easy wealth through popular cryptocurrency Bitcoin, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa announced on Tuesday, April 10.
Arnel and Leonady Ordonio were nabbed by PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) operatives – the police division in charge of high-stakes and high-profile crimes – in Vigan City last April 4 through an entrapment operation.

The scam, Obusan said, is structured like a pyramid scheme but with electronic money.

The Ordonios apparently had middlemen who lured people to invest. They promised to pay victims with their earnings every 15 days.

Fueled by the worldwide Bitcoin hype, more and more people were baited by the Ordonio couple's promises.

The complaints started piling in when investors lost contact with the Ordonios.
Whats happened  next?
Around 50 angry victims stormed to Camp Crame on Tuesday, asking the couple if they could still get back the money they had hoped would grow.

Will bitcoin be banned because of that?

Philippines is definitely not that anti-bitcoin. There is a ton of good Filipino exchanges out there, and it'll be hard to see they will be shut down by the government any time soon, let alone a total bitcoin ban. Even China has not reached the stage of a total ban yet, so it'll be hard to see this happen in the Philippines, since it is a lot less hostile to bitcoin.

Also, in January, the SEC in Philippines actually said that they had plans to regulate crypto: https://www.coindesk.com/philippines-sec-plans-to-regulate-cryptocurrency-trading-icos/.

It would make no sense for them to ban when they are drawing up plans to regulate, don't you think? There will always be scammers out there in any field, it's not bitcoin's problem that scammers do what they do. Otherwise, fiat should be banned as well(think MMM, Bernie Madoff and the whole bunch of ponzi schemes that has been run with fiat).
2299  Economy / Speculation / Re: Seems like dump is coming soon.. on: April 12, 2018, 09:26:42 AM
For now, we're going to stay under $7000 it seems.

Any attempt above to get above $7000 will most likely be stopped unless there is some very big news coming out all of a sudden that is positive, regarding the regulation of bitcoin. Otherwise, we're still stuck in this short term downtrend.

But I wouldn't call a $200 drop a dump, that's crazy, since it's barely even a 3-4% drop from the $7000 level. According to your chart the trend lines converge at around 16 April, and that should be the focus instead of worrying about its sideways movement for now.

Anyways, $6000 is solid support for now that shouldn't be breached any time soon.
2300  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Peddler.com - buy the products you really want with crypto on: April 12, 2018, 09:17:39 AM
Great idea. However I'm a bit confused as to how this actually works.

I read the FAQ and it says the process starts by some "peddler" wanting to buy a specific item, and posts the offer up for people to participate. But the whole thing only works when the merchant actually accepts to provide a discount, right? How is that guaranteed, and who is contacting the merchant? Do they have to be actively monitoring your site, or do you reach out to them? Also, is there a limited range of merchants you can group buy from or can you submit any?

Thanks for starting to accept crypto. But you do need to earn your trust in this space, there are just so scammers out there that you'll find a lot of skeptics. Good luck, I'll definitely purchase something through your platform if the need ever arises.
